Galad had no idea who decided that he was going to be the navigator of the Saving Godes, going to the ball, because he knew that his sense of direction wasn't the best.
but who know maybe it was going to go ok this time…. nope he sighed when he heard Shuhei cursing at him. apparently it hadn't gone so well after all.
Sorry Shuhei, who was the idiot that put me to be the navigator anyways!?

he had at first not wanted to come to the ball, these social things didn't really interest him to much, but someone had mention free food for him, and he was sold.
and who knew there might be some interesting people there worth talking with.

Shit! the ship nearly rammed into the guild, but they had just in the last second avoided a disaster Shuhei cursed at him again, however Galad just laughed, thinking that the trip over here at least was a bit interesting. he slapped Shuhei friendly on his back, don't worry my friend, i'm sure the trip over here will be much shorter than the way back, he smiled because i'm the navigator on the way back to right? he jokingly said.  he sighed joking aside who decided that I was going to navigate?

he walked beside Shuhei on the way into the ball, I wonder if the others from our guild have arrived yet and if their behaving ?

This was utterly daft. The dress, the buffet of people that swarmed into the place, submerging a once peaceful silence into nothing more than a consistent wave of voices. All the boisterous clatter of heels against floor and motioning figures made her very brain twist in vexation as she exposed the fancy invitation to the front, pursuing into the well lavished area with the immediate thought of finding alcohol. Preferably wine. It had been awhile since she last had some. Back in her old home - the taste of alcohol was sacred - something that Earth-lands own beverages could never match. Either way, she needed to escape reality for awhile, even if that meant getting a bit drunk, or perhaps tipsy. That is, if none got in her way, of course. The very thought of disembarking from this horrible display made her content. She had been submerged by a certain melancholy as of a month ago. Aside being stabbed multiple times by some psycho, and then being fooled by an item that supposedly was her way home - she began to wonder if there was really no need to hope any longer. She was trapped in this place forever.

Luckily, she found her source of alcohol settled on a certain table. It was a wine bottle, and several glasses - some already half-empty were scattered around it. Her hands extended onto the bottle - rather than finding a glass she took the thing with her and began presuming her journey through the mass of dancing people - to find someplace with more space, and hopefully more silence. She staggered back and forth, tossed along like some sort of rolling object that her head began to sway from the amount of shoves she had derived. There was a tempting urge to shock anyone that was in her way, but, she kept to herself, and finally reached the other side of the dance-floor. The back of her hand kneaded against her slightly sweaty fore-head, overwhelmed by the heat that so many bodies could assemble into one single room. There was a brush of cool air that lingered from the front, and the pinkish red opticals wandered to the opening of what looked like a balcony.

Without hesitation, she essentially skipped over and onto the balcony, unaware that another person had also decided to make their way there as-well. The night sky clashed against her, and she was met with the darkness as the landscape of twinkling stars filled her with a certain nostalgic feeling. Exposed arms reclined against the railing of the large balcony, and the caress of wind fluttered the long ivory locks that oddly glimmered against the light of the moon. She glanced back down at the bottle in her hand, and then brought it to her lips, almost consuming most of the alcohol in the damn thing, before taking a breath of air. "Heh, its not that good, but, it's better than nothing!" as she said this, she had no heed to the other company who also escaped into the side-lines of the dance-floor. Instead, she stood there, completely out of tune in a tsunami of thoughts and a consumption of to much wine.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Deniel felt no embarrassment or sense of awkwardness from the fact that Raven was unable to dance with him. In fact, it was more of a practical joke and way of greeting her above all else. On the other hand, the person that she had actually chosen to accompany to the dance floor did slightly bother him. Everyone else seemed to be unsure of his presence, but Deniel did not have this mindset because he had not met him before. However, he deserved a little more recognition rather than what he had been given. "I prefer the term: wanderer...and I happen to be an old Guild Master of Eclipse Soul." That was all Deniel had said before turning away and perhaps leaving him go about with his business for the rest of the night. He hadn't necessarily began to dislike him, but he hadn't decided to like him in any way. Before he could wander off too far, he heard the familiar voice of Zack just beside him, and turned to see his former mentor....perhaps not as he remembered how he looked. Regardless, he was glad to see him once more.

"Hey, Zack...yeah. Long time, but it's good to see you again." Deniel extended his hand out as well to give his mentor, and friend, a very brief and firm shake. "Nidhogg is fine, better than ever. And..." He let go of Zack's hand, awkwardly scratching his nose for no reason other than to try and buy himself some time to think, "I know it's been a while, but you deserve another thanks. Without your help, I would have lost my best friend forever. So...thanks again." It was quite a gloomy topic to talk about, especially since Deniel remembered how depressed he had become upon losing Nidhogg, but he figured Zack did deserve another thanks for assisting him in his time of need.

With a small smirk on his face, Deniel sought to lighten up the conversation between him and Zack very briefly. He stood beside him, giving a small nudge while doing so, "A lot of people here. Got any of your eyes set on a beautiful girl, perhaps? Heheh."

Post by Akeya 17th August 2015, 4:43 pm

Akeya didn't react as the group of powerful mages that she and Akryn had been standing next to dispersed, as the three males who had already been trying to get the first dance from Sabertooth's Guild Master had been left behind, as Raven apparently felt better choosing her own dancing partner. Which the half dragon could agree with. Having people just walk up to you and ask for you to dance with them would also annoy her immensely. Well, at least she didn't have to worry about that: it was unlikely anybody would just randomly ask her to dance, especially since Akryn was already with her.

Even while Akeya had been scanning the crowd for all the mages she had also been using her other senses to keep an eye on her direct surroundings. Hence why she knew that the powerful mages were now going their own ways after Raven walked away with the fifth powerful mage to show up. The one who felt the most dangerous, maybe not in actual power but in how likely he was to use the power that he had. The other four felt like they were powerful, but had strong restraint. The fifth felt like he was also in strict control of himself, but he could decide to kill in cold blood.

However Akeya opened her eyes when Akryn began to try and disentangle his arm from her own. It wasn't very difficult, especially from this distance, to sense that he had some not too kind intents on his mind. At which point the half dragon frowned, even going so far as to slightly bare her fangs. He went through the trouble of dragging her here, even designing her outfit, and he wanted to cause an uproar? There's no way that she would let that just happen.

Akryn would suddenly feel a very familiar presence: an annoyed half dragon. He would also feel her hand enclosing around his arm with an immovable grip, and if he looked at her he'd see that she was staring straight at him, once again subjecting him from the weight of her glare, and displaying enough annoyance that he'd see the image of a giant dark dragon behind her.

"And just what were you planning?"

Her voice, as controlled as always, now had a dangerous edge to it. It was clear that she wasn't going to accept him trying to bluff or lie his way out of answering her question. And the strength of her grip also indicated that she wasn't going to let him go, and strong as Akryn was he still didn't quite meet the strength of his partner.

Akryn turned and looked Akeya dead in the eye, or blind fold with her, a look of blank, emotionless, coldness, a look she had never seen on him before. His eye had gone snow white, leaveing just a single black dot in the center. "It is quite simple dear Akeya. I plan to take one of my daggers, walk up behind that beast, that demon in humans skin, stick the blade through his ribs and severe one of his main arteries from his heart. He will bleed out in seconds, I will have removed a monster from this land, justice will have been served finally, and all of his countless victims will finally know peace. That man is not a man, but a monster. Monsters do not change Akeya, and despite what many say, most of saber tooth, the council, even the knights, despite what they all think, monsters are always monsters. They do not deserve pity, or mercy, or forgiveness. One day all monsters must answer for their sins, and for Frederick, that day is today. Now release my arm so that I may slay him." Akryn said in a cold, flat voice that was barely above a whisper.

Post by Alex 17th August 2015, 5:51 pm

I’ll never be more, than a wolf at your door for dinner

Her thoughts were a mass of flashing colors and high octaves as glistening hues stared with a gleeful excitement. Plump, glistening with a shimmering layer of gloss, were parted lips as they curled upward in a form of grin. Both of her arms were lazily crossed beneath her best, finger tips barely grazing the silky fabric of the baby blue dress that adorned her figure. This is what she needed, definitely needed. Just a small flash of fun, fancy fun at that, too brighten her night with golden lights and a gorgeous hall. Simply thinking about it had a melodic chuckle dance on her lips, eyes flickering around her with a curious intent. She wasn’t exactly expecting someone to join her, but Alex was hoping that her expected companion would’ve already arrived before her. Well, it was what it was and she wouldn’t let something as simple as that dampen her mood. With a simple shrug of her shoulders, Alex allowed herself to quietly wander into the hall. While she had expected fancy, gorgeous, and utter beauty, she hadn’t expected it on this level. Her orbs filled with awe as they soaked in as much as possible within the mere seconds they had before they flickered to another gorgeous area, the fading blue shade in which they sported graciously mirrored the golden lights and her surroundings, clearly painting her own emotions as well in the depths of the pale liquid of color.

Now this was definitely place where she gladly would allow herself to enjoy as much as it as possible. Everything was absolutely breathtaking, from the wonderful design of the building to simply the people that either danced gracefully or stood off to the side and chatted between themselves. The longer she stood, the more she lost herself within the tangled mess of thoughts in which rolled with agitation within her mind. Alex didn’t want to focus on that, her head gently shaking from side to side before she slid her way around the rapidly moving crowd. Almost reminds me of some crazy school of fish.. Well maybe her thoughts granted her amusement at times, times like this. A soft snicker left her as she finally found a place where she could rest quietly. Her dark violet colored hair hand ended up falling over her shoulders while the skin tight fabric of her dress began to inch up the side of her hip, actions that sent slight agitation racing through her. So with a light huff of air, Alex pulled the dark strands into a single hand of hers before slightly tossing them back over her shoulder, her other hand reaching down to grasp the frills of the edge of her dress and with a sharp tug, brought them back into the fabric back into its original place. Get here already, will you..? She was becoming slightly anxious, let alone annoyed with the factor of having to wait seeing as she wasn’t that patient of a person. Allowing her shoulders to sag slightly, a heavy breath of air dancing on her lips while Alex brought her gloved arms to cross lazily back beneath her bust. She’d wait a bit longer and if Brennan wasn’t here by then, well, hello wherever you are, drinks!

The female almost felt awkwardly placed here. She was used to being able to socialize with those she knew and as far as she noticed, there was not a single person she had noticed that Alex knew so far. It almost stressed her. “Just be a bit patient and it’ll get better..” Her voice was liquid beneath her breath, gaze steadily staring off into a window several feet away. It flickered over the cold looking glass, watching the reflection of the people dancing with a slight smile. The longer she stared though, watching as people mingled within the mirroring glass, a face began to slowly appear as if it were a blurry mist. Her brows furrowed with slight confusion, the colors within her gaze slowly blending into a bright blur the more she attempted to make out what or who it was. So with a quiet, frustrated sigh, Alex pushed herself away from the wall in which she lent against before approaching the window with a curious intent. As soon as she reached no more than a few steps away, did a grin spread across her glistening lips, Ziksa! She almost expected the woman wouldn’t have come to such an extravagant event but she guessed incorrect. Laughing quietly to herself, Alex reached a slender arm forward, her finger curling inward before tapping the cool glass to gain the woman’s attention. Expecting that she did, Alex nodded her head in which was a motion for Ziska to join her and Brennan once they arrived. If they were speaking to each other, Alex would’ve held to room for negotiation for the female but she didn’t have that benefit with the glass separating them and the countless number of dancing figures behind her that halted her from raising her voice so Ziska could hear her. Stepping away from the glass, the violet haired woman hugged herself slightly and leant against the wall. The cold material causing her skin to tingle pleasantly before she slowly became accustomed to it, her patience wearing thin for her companion to arrive.

When Tammy had found out there was going to be a ball hosted by she did the most sensible thing and asked one of the more fabulous to design a dress for her, and seeing as members of blue Pegasus always had to look their best they were more than happy to oblige, it took them a few weeks to sew but it as eventually finished just in time for the ball as she was told she would be arriving to the guild along with a few others Onboard the Saving Grace.

The thick night air wasn’t doing wonders for her complexion or hair at all. “We better get their soon or my hair is going to start getting frizzy!” She yelled loudly as she walked below deck to get her gown on.

Half an hour later she came back above deck to stuff falling overboard and the ship sliding into dock “ Wow what exactly……” Was all she got out as her mind started to slip away for a moment “Here?” she said almost a whole two minutes later.
Her dress was actually quite simple green sleeveless gown and yellow pumps adorned with emeralds on the buckles and a yellow sash around her waist with small emeralds in a line down its center. Topping it off with a gold chain around her neck set with emeralds and a few yellow flower patterns from her left shoulder to her right hip

Brennan gasped as he ran towards the Sabertooth Grand Ball. He was late, actually, he wasn't just late anymore, he was really late. His black tie flailed around in the wind, along with his suit jacket. At this point, he had given up on keeping his jacket in place, he would arrange it as soon as he arrived. His feet swiftly touched against the floor, as he ran to the ball as quickly as he possibly could. Soon Brennan arrived, and he buttoned his suit jacket, and tucked his black tie in, slicking down his bright blue hair. Brennan knew that his companion was most likely already here, after all, he was insanely late. He then walked into the Ball, dazzled by all the lights, and colors, and, well, a whole bunch of pretty stuff. Brennan adjusted the jet black tie of his designer suit, and looked around for his companion. Brennan then spotted his companion, Alex, dressed in a drop-dead gorgeous baby blue dress. Everything here was on par, no, much, much, higher than his standards, it was absolutely amazing. Everything here was so much more than good looking, it was downright magical. Brennan stumbled towards Alex, the colors of the dance floor making him dizzy. "Hi, Alex." Brennan said, rubbing his temples, "Sorry for being so late..." Brennan continued to rub his temples, these damn lights were going to give him a seizure. "You look, uh, nice." Brennan bumbled, still staring at Alex's dress, still trying to keep himself from having a seizure. This place was way to fancy, in Brennan's opinion, he felt extremely awkward, after all, after all of the people here, he knew, well, maybe three people. He was trying his best to maintain his composure, but he was starting to get a teeny, tiny bit freaked out, OK, maybe a little more than a teeny, tiny bit.

Serena opened her mouth before shaking her head slightly, "Ah, so that was what you meant. Well, I am from the mainland, I just prefer to observe people...to find out more about human behaviour," she explained, her eyes not really meeting the boy's, as if she was just staring through him, though in actuality she wasn't. It was just a simple habit of her's, appearing as if she wasn't paying attention when she really was. Just when the Sabertooth master announced that the dance floor was now open, she grimaced, even if just for a moment. People were going to be all over the place now, what a bother.

"Oh? You make it sound like you've been locked up away from society, ah but if so you turned out better then most people I know." he said to her, telling the truth but with a little humor. He then heard that the dance floor was open with dread, generally zecarayus never learned how to dance and as he was told once, You dance like a caveman. He did not have an interest in learning it anyhow. "Do you want to move to the second floor so we are not caught by people making their way to the dance floor?" he asked her, generally the second floor was less crowded but offered view of everyone on the first floor.

Zemina looked at the man whom newly discarded his cape, and began walking around doing nothing but looking bored and eating food. This made the ball look like it didn't please him, even though the Sabertooth guild sent him an information specifically for the contrary reason. This made Zemina a little ticked off beyond her normal limit, but not to the point of blind rage, but enough so that she used sarcasm. And sarcasm was rarely ever used by this swordswoman, she either normally was blank as a sheet of paper or hotter than lava angry, but sarcasm and that "grey area" rarely ever came out, but in the instance that it did... Well this would happen.

Zemina approached Kenpachi, pretending to not notice him there but sniffing the air like she smelled something unusual. sniff sniff "Hmm... Suddenly it reeks of arrogance in here... Oh look!" she said, feigning to just now realize that Kenpachi was there. "I think such a foul odor is coming from you sir, is there any reason this ball doesn't seem good enough for you?" Zemina looked at the man with a harsh glare. It was clear the man didn't intend on leaving, but it also seemed like he didn't perticularly like his stay. That was obnoxious to say the least, and Zemina would end such rudeness instantly... I.E now.

The Grand Ball - Page 4 Empty Re: The Grand Ball

Post by Gisen Ceostra 17th August 2015, 10:17 pm

At first it seemed as though they were going to be taking their time or just didn't think much of the idea of her flirtatious attitude. Not like it was any big deal or anything, but usually responses like blushing and nervousness and denial made things funny. Almost as much as when she had groped Raven accidentally.. though she had still felt the pain from when she was hit for that.... That girl hits hard... With a sigh, she watched with a bit of curiosity as a sudden male had appeared next to the male that had accompanied Zoe and she eyed the new arrival real well. She gave a bit of a smirk and nudged Zoe's shoulder and leaned in near her ear. "You lucky little girl you are~ You should share some stories with me one day." She whispered, giggling and sliding back to her normal position while the man with shades had commented about her, calling her a bunny. She jumped a bit, her face turned red and she scratched her cheek with a small bit of chuckling. "Ehehe.."

She couldn't manage to say a word in reply. It was a little bit stumping that him hitting on her had been a little more direct than she had actually thought would happen. Her face was an obvious flustered color and her thoughts were all jumbled up real quick. "I.. I hope that was just a-a.. coincidence.." She paused and cleared her throat, trying to calm herself down a little bit. "I-I'm sorry. I.. need to go get a bit of fresh air. E-Excuse me." The white haired Knight quickly gave Zoe a little hug from the side and skipped off (metaphorically speaking) toward the center of the ball room. Quite a bit of side banter had made things a little louder than she would imagine a formal occasion to be, but it wasn't really like Sasha ever had experience in things like this that she could remember.

As soon as she had noticed it, there were a couple places she could really go. Firstly was up th stairs and hang above the group, but then again the idea of a couple balconies seemed to be a good place to go calm her nerves. Her attention focused a little as she walked as she looked at Raven and gave a little wave, whether she saw it or not didn't matter, but she then turned her back at continued towards the balcony as her hair laid out behind her back. She slipped out and stopped as she had seen a couple others standing around out on it, one with a drink of some kind a man she had seen Raven talking to a moment ago. With a sigh, she walked ahead to the edge and laid her arms on the small ledge and shook her head with of disappointment in her response and all. "Damn.. I feel like such an idiot tonight..." She muttered to herself, unaware of if she had been heard or not.

Serena looked slightly taken aback when he mentioned that she might have been locked away from society, which could not be further from the truth. When he mentioned that they should go up to the second floor she accepted. "Yes, that would be preferable. Also, I don't really consider myself as locked away from society...I just have a lot of questions about why humans are like...how they are," she explained lamely.

Cirven had been watching from the darkness as events unfolded. Many more people arrived to the ball even after the dancing had started. It looked like people enjoyed being fashionably late. He had noticed some of Eclipse Soul had arrived which included their new guildmaster, Alyia and one of their guild aces, Venir. He knew Alyia from the past but was still shocked to see her as the guildmaster.

He then noticed Lumina had arrived on her own after trying to show some sort of independence. He had been trying to show her that she couldn't rely on him forever but didn't know how well it was working with how he had just started to show her. It wasn't looking too good with how she came to the ball dressed in a jacket.

He grunted at the sight and figured that he could join in on the ball after his scooping things out. If anything he would do better with being closer to things if anything happened. The people who could recognize him were probably too busy in their own festivities to care much about him anyways. He leap down from the building with his clothes flowing behind him and casually walked right in.

He made his way to Lumina first and moved his head close to her ear to whisper. "You should try and meet some other people here. Its what its for after all. Don't bother me so much either. Go have some fun." He then simply walked off before she could respond finding his way to the lonely guildmaster of Eclipse Soul.

"Hey GM. I know I said I wasn't going to participate but it looks safe enough here. Its not as tight in security as Karakuri City but its not bad I guess." He waited for her to look at him. "Just going to say this though, you look too nice to not have someone dancing with you and I'm free of a dance partner so-" He put his hand out to her to help relay his offer. "Lets go dance some. Maybe make some people jealous or something, right? I owe you for keeping an eye out for Lumi anyways." He smiled to her which was something he hadn't done in awhile with everything going on. He felt more like his old self which was maybe from him feeling at home at Sabertooth again.

Zecarayus saw her reaction about the tower comment and felt a bit bad about the comment, "Sorry, it seemed you were isolated and that is what sprouted your curiosity." After he heard though about that she was just curious about people, he nodded and spoke as they went upstairs, "Well, people will often act in their own interest, whether its about others or themselves, and I also know how far some people are willing to go to protect their interest in themselves or their families, for both better or worse. But you look like a person, are you not one or do you not like being associated with the rest of us?" he asked lastly somewhat joking and curious about her statement.

    Chapter 5:
    Liberation of the Soul
    Rock with Me

    BGM:
    Anastasia's Song

Well then.  I'll be right over here if you need me....

She opened her mouth to speak to Serena once more, only to notice she got completely brushed off.  Her existence ignored.  Turning her head to watch Serena continue doing her own thing.  This caused Anastasia to wonder if the woman at the party was deaf.  She approached Serena once more only to open her mouth to say something to her for her to completely move away from her.  My, how charming this one was, indeed.  This put Anastasia in quite the festive mood.

"Nice to meet you too," she whispered to herself before sighing outwardly.  She was at the food table, so she...  She just looked at the food, noticing that most of the food here was made of meat.  This caused her stomach to grumble and twist a bit, causing physical pain in her stomach, forcing her to move away from the table of absolute death and grease.  She has issues with how meat is prepared, and the fact that meat came from animals that once had lives and felt pain.  She also had issues with the grease in most meats; they tore at her stomach like taco night.  This forced Anastasia away from the food table and towards some of the chairs off to the side.

Perhaps one of these people here would approach her or talk to her.  Maybe it's a possibility.  She turned to look around the party and curled her lip a bit.  She's trying to extend herself out there to get to know more people. She's trying her hardest to talk to those that aren't the life of the party; the ones rejected by others.  Loneliness is something that nobody should suffer from.  Even if it was a passing 'hello' it does more for people than completely ignoring their existence.

Plopping herself down upon one of the chairs, she took a deep breath in and looked around the party.  The place was bustling and alive with various people from all walks of life, most she wants to meet, with different ways of thinking and doing things.  She met Allison a while back and she found it was a good thing.  She would approach her now, but she doesn't want to intrude on her socializing.

    She missed her friends...

Anastasia sat with proper posture.  Anastasia wondered if shouting at 200 dB would cause windows to shatter and people to notice her.  Oh, probably not, but it was an amusing thought that came across Anastasia's brain for a moment.  Then again, Anastasia isn't capable of elevating her voice up to 200 dB.  But then again, that would also cause quite a bit of unnecessary suffering, which Anastasia wouldn't stand for.  Though, the social experiment would be quite the interesting one regardless of the excruciating pain and agony 200 dB would bring.

But now Anastasia was stuck having a seat and observing everyone around her.  A little sigh came from her lips.  ~ Oh, I wonder if I'll find my Prince or Princess Charming. ~ Anastasia said within her own head.  A response was given to her by her telepathic Exceed residing outside.  ~ Don't be foolish.  You won't find your prince or princess at a dance party.  Events like these are for powerful people to stroke each other's ego.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Scrubs like you here are just a formality.  Weaklings like you don't matter in the eyes of giants. ~   Well, brutal honesty is one of the guardian's more noble traits.

This caused Anastasia to sigh once more upon hearing the creature's insight.  He could have put it in a more eloquent manner.  Puffing out her cheeks, she failed to respond to the Exceed, taking more time to simply observe these people.  So many people in a single place and everyone is with someone.  Just as she got lost in thought, she saw a boy just run straight into the dance floor.  Anastasia blinked for a moment, not realizing what just happened.  Shaking her head, she started to daydream only for a moment.

Snapping out of her trance, she flicked her head to look towards Team Rampage for a moment.  Something strange was happening from their little corner of the ball.  Raising a brow, Anastasia sighed outward before a thought fluttered through her head.  ~ Sasha, I need Sir Hendrix. ~ she simply thought.  Her thoughts were received by the striped guardian before it burst it's way in through the door, pushing through the people trying to enter through the front door and slides in next to Anastasia.  The creature growled as if to protect Anastasia.  It was under the impression that requiring the guitar required him to claw someone's eyes out.

With a gentle touch to the top of the creature's head, she assured him that everything was alright.  Walking over to Sasha's side, she unhooked the guitar from the guitar-case, leaving behind the weapon components inside of the case.  Clearing her throat, she pulled out a cord from her Nyanplifiers and connected it into the blue Stratocaster guitar.  Activating her Nyanplifier, she projected her voice throughout the ball room.  This was the only thing she could think of to alleviate the heat and possible mistake that Akryn might make.

She strummed her guitar, having the sound of the guitar play over the Nyanplifiers.  After a brief introduction with the guitar, her Nyanplifiers took care of the rest, adding the rest of the instruments into a cohesive sound called "Honey".

    "Honey"
    -The Hush Sound-
Can be heard throughout the Ball

Kiersa blinked as the situation throughout the guild seemed to be slowly escalating. Raven had decided to ignore her three suitors and went straight for... FRED?! The two of them danced away before Fred got away... with one of the Blue Pegasus members stalking after him... Another of the Pegasii got in that ones way though from the looks of it and was in a heated arguement with them. The blonde nun looked around, biting her lip as she tried to figure out what to do...

A few other arguements had arisen in a few locations throughout, with some guests dashing for the balconies, either for their own peace of mind or to while themselves away with drink. Thankfully the paired patrols of Sabertooth mages were still on going outside the hall, so nothing unfortunate should occur. It was when someone's massive lion creature thing burst through the doors that the nun really got fidgety... thankfully all it seemed to be doing was sitting near its master, a young woman now playing a guitar through some speakers attached to her head that looked a bit like cat's ears.

She briefly considered getting herself a drink, but thought against it. She had to keep her wits about her tonight... With that said... She made her way towards the Guild Master of Blue Pegasus. If anyone could get his guild to behave it would be him.

"Excuse me sir, pardon the interruption... but um..." Kiersa looked over to the pair of Blue Peagsus over by the door which led towards Frederick. "It appears that one of your guild has taken... umbridge towards Frederick's presence here tonight." she said, trying to phrase the situation as politely as possible. "I'm not certain that if I were to confront him, that it would do the situation any good... not with the... somewhat strained situation between our two guilds at the moment sir." said the nun with a sigh, rubbing her forehead. "I know I shouldn't be asking this of you sir, but could you perhaps convince him to let the matter be for the moment? I fear that he may only listen to those in a higher authority than himself." the nun requested with a polite curtsey and bow of her head towards the Blue Pegasus Guild Master.

Serena shook her head as she began to walk towards the stairs to head up to the second floor. "I am a human, I just...have a lot of questions about humans. I guess it's because of my upbringing, probably," she said, an almost sad smile on her face. "Anyways, it appears we haven't introduced ourselves yet. I am Serena, you?" she asked, remembering the basic rules of a conversation just at that moment, though at the same time, she wanted to change the subject at hand. She continued to walk up the stairs, pausing each time to wait for the man.

       Alyia Nystrom
       Words
    @Angel of luck

The blonde continued to smile as she looked below her. Partners danced on the dance floor, people flirting with each other yet there were some that still could not comprehend that thid was a mere party. A party for every legal mage to get along for once in a long time. With the heat of the ballroom the blonde could not help but feel slightly more relaxes even though her dress slightly stuck to her legs as she leaned against the second level banister. Her eye began to slowly shut as music filled the hall making her hold back the urge to sing along with the music. An angel's voice was prized, the heavenly sound was not for everyone to hear. In fact the only person that she knew of to ever hear her sing was Katherine, but she was no longer in existance. Neither was Allen, the angel slumpped slightly at the thought, just when she though she could claim for the rest of her life. But he had slipped ftom her fingers before she could. But now seeing as it was now the second time the blonde was much used to ache that she now held in her chest. It wasn't any easier the first time but now she knew that love took time and just because someone says they love you it doesn't always mean that it is true.

With her mood dropping quickly the angel had not seen one of the new members of the guild approach her on the second floor that was strictly for the guild masters. Hearing his voice her eyes flashed open and she spun to look at Cirven. Seeing that it was him a sigh escaped her lips, "Cirven you scared me." Alyia then paused and listened to her old friend talking to her about hoe lovely she looked and about a dance in which the guild master laughed. "I don't think I have told you this yet, but I have no clue as to how to dance. I just never found it needed before. But if you don't mind a few light steps on your feet I would not mind joining you for a dance." The young guild master was not joking as she placed her hand in the one that was out reached to her. Even for her short height she was very light. It of course came with being an angel, her bones has to be hallow in order to fly making her a measly 72 lbs. "We might want to hurry, you know the second floor is designated for guild masters. I don't think you are allowed up here. And as for watching Lumi is was a pleasure. A simple task for s friend yes?"

He wasn't too surprised that she couldn't dance. She had always seemed like the time to avoid being close to many people and that usually lead to not having much learning with what happens in social gatherings. "I'm not the best at it but I can teach you a few things." He spoke out to the woman as her hand was placed into his. With this he lead her to a part of the dance floor where no one was on the second floor and placed his hand on her hip slowly. "Don't worry about stepping on my feet. I have been through a lot worse after all. Oh and I'm not so worried about them trying to kick me out from up here. I'll just drag you along with me and continue where we left off down stairs."

He attempted to lead the small angelic woman in her steps as they danced to the music. They were lucky and started with a slower paced song at first allowing them to just take light steps around in a circle with each other but that changed not too long after. A faster paced song started to play and Cirven wanted to show the Guildmaster other ways of dancing. "You ready? If not well surprise..?" He spoke out quickly and then started to spin the girl around with him doing moves that he would only hint he was doing seconds before by small gestures. With each time he spun her he felt how light she actually was. "Thought you said you never danced before?" He teased her.

Was this worth it? So many people milled about, showing up like the onset of rain that it left the woman nervous: how many more would show up? Perhaps she should’ve stayed home, curled up on the safety of bed away from so many strangers. It was a party meant for good will however, and…well Mao admitted to a certain bounty of curiosity. She’d seen dancing at festivals with its lively beats and waving and twirling of limbs, but what about such a fine shindig such as this? What kind of music would they play? What would people be wearing? How would they conduct themselves? Mao probably shouldn’t have kept her expectations too high though given how not everyone here came from high society – herself included.

So the fact that a dance contest almost broke out on the floor all for the sake of her guild master’s first dance proved highly entertaining, if disappointing that it hadn’t gotten started.

’Shame…’ she mentally sighed, skirting around all the groups and the openness of the floor by keeping to the wall for the most part. Light and airy fabric danced in the slight breeze she caught, the black cloth’s softness the only reason she’d even chosen to wear the dress in the first place or else she might’ve gone with the cheongsam and pants like the wedding. At least that outfit came with a little jacket with full length sleeves, this dress’s only accessory – at least suggested by the seamstress – was a long black scarf of similar material wrapped around her neck, the thins traps of the garment disappearing beneath the looped fabric. The woman wouldn’t even hear of adding gloves to the ensemble, leaving a nervous hand to play with one of the ends of the scarf to the point she’d wrapped it around a few times whilst twiddling the thing between her fingers.

A multitude of sounds twittered through the hall, forcing the woman’s long ears to swivel this way and that out of habit, tidbits of conversation coming and going as she initially concentrated on the main scene. Entranced, she’d nearly collided with an impossibly tall being and immediately apologized to him, ”Oh-sorry! My apologies.” A quick bow and then she darted around him and the table, embarrassed since she should’ve noticed someone so tall given how hard it could be to ignore regular sized people. The crowd was also troublesome because despite her agitation she had to remain mindful of her large tail, nerves sometimes causing the thing to swish in wider arcs and she’d rather not cause someone to spill their drink and potentially ruin their outfits. Heaven knows people had definitely dressed their best tonight.

Nearby a canine broke into the hall, making a beeline for a girl with curious ears, metallic ones…had she been in an accident? It was hard to tell at this distance. The beast – ignoring its current protecting attitude – was quite cute and Mao huffed a little under her breath, pouting a slight bit, ’I wish Nocshanks could’ve come…’ but it’d been a strict “No” when she inquired. With people flocking towards the dance floor Mao settled for occupying a chair at one of the now empty tables, listening to the blond sing and watching as people started twirling…or shaking their money maker in a case or two.

"Happy to help." Zack replied, but his attention was distracted. It seemed that Akryn had his own issues with Frederik or so it seemed and it was taking Akeya to stop him acting on those issues. What's more he wasn't the only one to notice because a woman dressed in the clothing of a nun walked over and spoke to him asking him to intervene. He sighed deeply. "Nice seeing you again Deniel. Excuse me for a moment." With that, to those with keen enough eyes to see it, a blur seemed to shoot off from behind him and didn't stop till it was next to Akryn. The blur formed into Zack and yet Zack still appeared to be standing in front of Deniel or at least for a moment. Shortly, after the Zack in front of Akryn had formed the one in front of Deniel shattered into tiny motes of light that for some reason took the shape of small swords reminiscent of the forms that Deniel's sword took. Flashy true, but it was also sure to leave an impression.

The Zack in front of AKryn, the real Zack, leaned forward and whispered into the ear of Akryn. "I know you have issues with Frederik. I'm not the only one who has noticed your ire. He has done a lot of things in the past and so I understand your anger" he said calmly though there was a warning tone to his voice. "But right now we are the guests of Sabertooth and he is under their protection. Confront him if you must, kill him if that is what it takes to erase the anger from your heart, but not tonight." Zack took a step backwards and looked at Akryn dead in the eyes. "Or if you cannot restrain yourself then you will have to go through me. And I will not hold back" The idea of protecting someone as dark as Frederik irritated and disgusted him and it was clear by the tone of his voice that this was so. However, he would not allow Akryn to disgrace Blue Pegasus at such a large gathering. It would reflect badly on the guild and even worse on him as it was his first official event as a guildmaster. He had to be a leader now whether he wanted to or not. Besides, a murder in what was supposed to be a peaceful event between guilds would likely start a war. The only way to fix such a problem would be handing him over to the custody of Sabertooth. That was something he did not want to do. That was something he could not allow to happen. Akryn was family, just like Akeya, just like Shuhei. His eyes looked at Akryn almost daring him to make a move.

It was he stared at the leader of Rampage that Zack realised that another member of his guild could prove an issue tonight. A member too fast for even Zack to react to if he launched a surprise attack. The former guildmaster Shuhei Kisaragi. He would have his own issues with Frederik. Issues that no amount of peacemaking and good deeds would fix. He might have to make a more drastic move. It would mean making a bit of a scene, but it might prevent any bloodshed for the time being.

Elation masked her ivory visage; not a fallacy in any brim of her countenance for, the thrill that coursed through her every vein was genuine as her twin pools of cerulean remain fixated upon the auburn haired male in front of her. Flashes; a showcase of what was to follow enveloped her mind; illustrations of slow dances; satisfying her taste buds with the wide assortment of delicacies; moments within each other’s company, fingers intertwined, euphoric laughter emanating through the two; and finally, ceasing the moment with a passionate kiss. Indeed, for Zoe, the evening would consist of quite whimsical endeavors, as a sigh belched from her lips, dreamy in every waft; her mind engulfed in a reverie of its own.

However, the trip within the depths of her mind, abruptly, halted as a voice decorated the vicinity around Zoe, and her boyfriend, Jayce who stood, at merely, one corner of the room; somewhat, concealed from others unless, one were to pay close attention. “Wha-“ A question; but, one unable to be completed as Zoe’s eyes landed in on the person to whom the voice belonged to. Familiar white hair erupted in the young blonde’s line of vision before, the voice spoke again; female in its nature, uttering none other than Zoe’s name. “Sasha.” Recognizing her, the name escaped the rosiness of the light blonde’s lips, scrutinizing the pearl haired Rune Knight before her, who was glamorously attired up in an alluring red Cheongsam dress appearing quite lovely and adorable.

The hug from the Rune Knight that engulfed Zoe erupted a light-hearted chuckle from the receiver; her hands moving over to the woman’s back in hopes of returning the hug; her ears auditing the question perspired from Sasha’s lips. “Nice to see you too! And I’m good. How have you been, Sasha?” A light tilt of her lips upwards, concentrated into a pleasant smile; hues, incandescent upon, the excitement of meeting a familiar face again. “And don’t call me kiddo.” Temporarily, penetrating a playful scowl upon her visage before, it yet again, returned to the light smile it had previously been. Of course, the next query to escape the boisterous bunny’s lips elicited a twinge of crimson, painted upon the ivory of Zoe’s face. It was more, shyness, than anything else as her, optics scantily shifted over to the male beside her, witnessing his reaction. However, as always, the mundane look plastered on his face suggested, almost no reaction to the rather, em66ccffsing question.

“W-Well.” A slight stutter in her sentence, depicting her bashfulness before, she completed it; the blush, reddening slightly more at the prospect that, this was, in fact, the first time she had 2introduced Jayce to any of her acquaintances. “Yeah, you’re right. Um, this is Jayce; my boyfriend.” Introducing the male to her Rune Knight friend, Zoe obscured the slight envy upon, Sasha referring to Jayce as ‘cutie’. Jealousy which promptly, diminished upon the arrival of Leo; one of Jayce’s Celestial Spirit keys; her boyfriend being a Celestial Spirit mage as the light blonde’s eyes darted between the Spirit and the Rune Knight, witnessing the exchange of words as a warm feeling encompassed her locks spreading to the tips of her hair. Warmth spread through at him lightly stroking of her hair; relishing the affection he displayed through his mere actions.

Until, of course, Sasha excused herself abruptly, from the premises of their company rendering, a curious façade upon the blonde’s face as her orbs witnessed her retreating figure, calling out the woman’s name in hopes of inducing a halt in her steps. “Sasha!” However, to no avail. Redirecting her gaze upon the Celestial Spirit; a tint of accusation within her hues, as she crossed her arms underneath her chest, raising an implicating eyebrow at Leo, gesturing with her eyes to follow the pearl haired girl and make up for his openly, flirtatious behavior. “Come on, go.”

It was then however, did Zoe notice the silence that spread across the hall, resembling an epidemic of sorts; an inquisitive expression overcoming her as her gaze slithered through the mass of people present before, they landed upon a figure causing, a sigh to escape her lips. Oh, Frederick. Always the drama-queen that he was, the man managed to attract attention; however, rather hostile attentions for his defamation was very well known throughout Fiore. Slight worry overcame her for possibilities that the brood man may have enemies in this very hall; wondering whether a fight would occur however, the next events indeed, surprised the young blonde at the boldness of their Guild Master to openly, announce Frederick as her date before initiating the first dance; a dumb-founded look apparent on Zoe’s face. A shake of her head, at all the bizarre yet, highly amusing events that occurred before, she turned back to the male whom had arrived to be her date; entangling their arms together and all but anything, dragging the auburn haired male to the dance floor; an excited grin upon her face, a luminous radiance depicting her euphoria.

    “Come on Jayce, let’s dance!”

A frown took hold on his face as Zemina called him a child and walked away. Most people would take offense to such a thing...but Blue? "Yeah, and water is wet..." He knew (at least in part) who he was. The lad had never once denied his own nature. And besides...he was a Mage from Fairy Tail! Maturity was the last thing on his mind! "And you're damn right I'm gonna grow!" he shouted after her, pointing as he did so. Once Zemina disappeared into the crowd the boy stuffed his hands in his pockets and gave a small, "Hmph." Lucky had since returned to nibbling on the fish bones, and was sitting down on top of the table watching his companion and Zemina's "altercation" unfold. "I don't think Zemina likes you, Blue..." the Exceed spoke, a little sad that a potential new friend was now gone. The brash young Mage scoffed and nabbed another steak off of the table with his hand. When he spoke his voice was absolutely dripping with sarcasm. "Here's me all broken up about it." he chomped into the meat, shooting Lucky an uninterested expression.

Blue wasn't exactly the best at making friends...

He'd just finished devouring the steak when the door to Sabertooth's Event Hall burst open, ripping the boy's attention away from the food table. It was a bit hard to see over all these freakishly tall people, but it looked like...some kind of striped dog had shown up? Blue was best friends with a talking cat, and they'd already seen a live phoenix at the ball so it wasn't really all that odd to him...but when then the music started. It was hypnotizing. Heavenly, even. Blue broke away from his Exceed and began making his way through the party, following the singing to its source. The shorter Mage eventually emerged to the forefront of the crowd. His eyes fell upon the enigmatic young musician. "Wow..." Blue wasn't a music aficionado by any stretch of the imagination. He didn't know how to play an instrument and his singing voice wasn't exactly top notch. But he knew how to appreciate a good song. So that's exactly what he did. He watched Anastasia and made sure to listen intently, a small smile present on his face as he did so. He glanced around the immediate crowd, taking note of people's actions as they tuned in to her performance. Almost everyone seemed pleasantly surprised. He even saw Julius dancing...and after hearing a, "Let's boogey!~" he noticed Lucky was shaking his tail right next to him! It wasn't any Fairy Tail party...but maybe this ball wasn't so bad after all...

Once she was done Blue was one of the first to applaud. She was fantastic...a natural talent for sure. He would make it a point to approach her, offering a short, "Hey." as he stopped in front of Sasha (the pet!). His hands were in his pockets and his usual confident smirk on his face. "Nice song. How long you been playing?" Blue was rather candid in his speech, foregoing any of the silly formalities most people seemed to be hung up on. He'd always been that way...though I suppose being raised by a dragon would cause most people to miss out on some of the finer subtleties of conversation. Unfortunately...it also meant him forgetting to introduce himself. Now all he could do was wait.

    raven,
    let’s go back home
    The Grand Ball - Page 4 N4PtQjZ
When Raven first dragged the man to dance, Raven was only hoping to prevent a rather bad situation from arising. However, she soon felt like mentally kicking herself because she was starting to feel nervous. Nervous! Raven! Nervous about a dance with Frederick! What on earth was wrong with her head? When had she started to notice this man’s presence more and more? It was definitely not so before, was it? Or was she ignoring it all this time? Uh she couldn’t make anything of her scattered thoughts anymore.

He had taken her words and grew quiet, so quiet that she thought she was hearing him breathe. But the music had slowly replaced it, wrapping around the two dancing figures and merging with their silence, it created something…it wasn’t uneasiness, in fact, it was rather comfortable and pleasing. Words were quickly abandoning the violet haired girl for she knew no words to describe the state of her mind or heart at that moment. All she knew of was him and everyone else just faded into the background, out of Raven’s conscious and away from her circle of judgement. Before long, she was letting herself be lead by him, the hand wrapped around his feeling unnaturally warm. The people, their eyes, whatever they could be thinking; none of it passed by her awareness until she felt Frederick move away. It was then that she too realized that their first dance had prolonged a tad bit more than the others.

When the blonde man turned away, Raven turned away as well, her expression mirroring the same confusion and clumsiness as she almost ran towards the table where they served drinks. It wasn’t till a shaky breathe left her that Raven realized the weight of what happened to her. She wasn’t sure if it was time to label it but whatever it was…it was undeniable now. No, she just had to calm herself down and go back to greeting her guests. She couldn’t just hide in some corner of the room.

With that conclusion, Raven returned to the floor, smiling and waving at everyone she recognized. Like Kiersa, she had noticed that conflict had arisen at some places while most of them were enjoying the ball. She trusted her ace to be taking care of it all though. If things go out of line, then she would step in. For the time being, she might as well go talk to someone. She found a lot of her guild members enjoying their evening with their own dates and after walking around a little, she found someone singing at a corner. It took her back to her own days, making the guild master stand there for a while longer, listening to her.
