    CANDY CORN GALA

    'Esteemed Magician,

You have been invited by our lady, the Regent of the Night, to attend the Candy Corn Gala, a social occasion where we will provide you with live entertainment, good food, and dancing. The location is 444 First Street in Capital Crocus, on the date of Friday, October 13. No need to RSVP, simply show up.

We look forward to your arrival,

    The Servant of Her Majesty,
    The Pumpkin Lord

    P.S. Formal dress code. '

The invitation was sent throughout the continent of Ishgar, and everyone would adhere their request. There would be no denial of it. The letter, so elegantly and gracefully written, was imbued with the magic of their queen- The Regent of the Night. The invitation would seem irresistible to any who so much as glanced at it.

When the mages, arrived, a few of them would find their pets having already come before them, lured in by the invitation. The decorations were elaborate, with colors that matched the name of the ball; yellow, orange, and white, like candy corn. The orchestra was invisible, with floating instruments piping out sometimes haunting, sometimes thrilling tunes. All of them would make one want to get up and dance. Along the edges of the shiny dance-floor, there were elegant chairs and tables with autumn decor and centerpieces. On the tables in the corners, people would find delicacies such as fine desserts, many flavored with pumpkin, and delicious pumpkin punch in glossy glasses, with a side for alcoholic punch, and non-alcoholic. The entire building was unable to be effected by any magic that dared change up the setting; that would be no fun, right?

Hanging above the ballroom was an enormous chandelier, with real candles ablaze, flickering in rhythm with the candles on the tables and walls. Some people were talking, others were dancing, and the unseen orchestra tirelessly played their melodies up on the stage elevated from the ballroom floor.

    However...
The party did not start until you walked in.

OOC: Welcome to the CCG! This is a site wide Holiday event. You will not get position credit for participating, but the more you do join in, the more numerous the rewards you will reap. There is no posting order; have fun, and be prepared for the next NPC post~!

P.S. Keep track of every 500 words you write in this thread. Each 500 words will give you a ticket to be used later on in the event.

”… K-Kyuken…” the shaman nervously spoke up as he had arrived, ”Hey… d-did you follow me? Where are you… buddy…” His entire body was getting numb by the vibrating nerves within his skin that begged for a break, his face sweated a bit, and his eyes were darting everywhere. This place… it was the very embodiment of his inner demons, his greatest fears. So this was the so-called Candy Corn Gala that he had read in the letter that he got a few days after the costume party; it was rather encouraging and welcoming, so he couldn’t say no at all. Besides, he felt rather recovered after the last party, so were there any reasons to decline? Therefore, he went straight down to the basement and began readying his stuff; just like at the other event, he strapped Harusame in old, unused toilet paper to give it the spooky theme that would ease folks when swinging it along his strolls. For his clothes, though… it was a Gala, so he decided to be more formal with it and chose a pretty dark tuxedo for the occasion. Truth be told, it would’ve been the first time that he got to use that very tuxedo, in which he smiled a little as he inspected himself at the mirror. “You think that it’ll suit for the gala, Zirconis?” the shaman asked his draconic ghost who was floating by. “Uh? Where are you going now?” the dragon asked with a deep voice, in which Mura quickly lifted up the letter for Zirconis to read it. As soon as he was done reading, his eyes were widened in fascination, a rather rare thing to occur for the cold-blooded yet confusing spirit. “… I think that it looks great on you! You should definitely have that on at the gala!” he suddenly exclaimed, beginning to worry even the shaman who knew him too good to realize that he wasn’t acting normal now. Either way, Mura got things ready and went out of the house with his sword strapped onto his back; no matter what, he just couldn’t leave that babe alone at all. It would make him feel a bit uncomfortable, because for him, Harusame was pretty much as fundamental to him as clothes to his naked body.

However, as he had entered the room, he found all the reasons to have declined; he heard the embracing melodies of an orchestra, but given by his keen sense and familiar indications, he soon found out what was going on. Floating instruments did make it obvious; ghosts. Freaking classic, uncut, spooky ghosts that drilled into his heart like a virus, implanting fear within the yin-yang priest. And yet, he moved over to the dancing floor, but he felt so frightened of the very atmosphere that his face looked like a statue… and for some weird reason, Kyuken wasn’t with him. He could’ve sworn that he felt the soul’s signature a moment earlier, but Mura had lots of things to take in right now…

She had gotten the invitation to the event sure enough, but she was not looking forward to going. At first? The wind user at theorized not going, but she had her own goals that required a public presence, plus a party did sound fun.

Jiyu Despised formal event's, mostly because it required someone to actually dress properly and she was fairly incapable of doing such because of her cursed variety of magic. Normally? She didn't get away with anything beyond undergarments. However, the wizard did have a few outfits reserved for night's like this, were she had to pray to the stars above that her binded element didn't get envious and strip her in front of a massive crowd, or worse in front of Leila who she hoped would be showing up tonight, it was one of the few reasons she had taken this over heading out on another mission. Oh and the fact she guessed several other people she knew would show up tonight. Anyway's, onto the outfit she was praying, would stay on her body tonight. She had opted to attempt a white sundress that tied behind her neck, but it was shorter than a normal one and made of a slightly thinner material in an effort to appease her element.

Actually, if Astrid or anyone else who had known her as a child showed up? She would look a lot like a taller more grown version of her old self for once, except for the elfin ears and her thick dog tail. Speaking of canine's she was already becoming concerned there would not be much for her at this event food wise, due to her specialized diet.

Kazehime shook her head and looked around, a small smile on her pale pink lips spotting someone who it looked as if she could have some fun with, so long as they didn't touch her. kazehime paled her flesh, whitened her hair, her tail and dulled her eyes with shapeshifting, levitating up behind Mura with her wind abilities "Oh my, you look like you're seeing ghosts spikey head." To sum it up simply? The inugami made herself look as ghostly as she could before floating up behind Mura and speaking to him, not that she knew who he was but the boy seemed frightened at least someone here was frightened to some degree. Anyway,'s trying to frighten someone had seemed like a fun idea to start the night.

"Anyway's, ghost boy, have you seen a girl with blue eyes and white hair that turns transparent? Her name is Leila. or a pale-haired girl with a French accent, Astrid, maybe a half-dragon Akeya?" she decided to stop asking about people because she could do it all night, and she was mainly only looking for Leila anyways. "My name is Jiyu Kazehime, nice to meet you, even though you look pale as a ghost." she gave a well-meant chuckle after her statement, bowing slightly where she levitated, the wind playing with her hair and dress making it appear as if she was under water in a way.

Tiny paw steps lunged forward past the doors ahead of the brunette to follow along with it, a small smile on his face as the carbuncle dashed into the party. It's tails waved in excitement and a few yips would emit from the small blue ball of hype. The Verisi couldn't help but laugh a small bit, the peace feeling like a stranger. As mages would step into the party, he himself arrived on the scene with light steps to not disturb the orchestra. What was it they were playing? Dance Macabre would be his hope, the infamous peace meaning the Dance of the Dead. Shadelle made sure to burn that in the back of his head, but the solo of the piece was brutal and something he'd rather not repeat. The instruments were in the air, floating aimlessly... Most likely from magic. There had to be a mage behind the curtains somewhere.

While he'd love to step in and conduct, he wouldn't want to get in the way of the conductor. Risk factors such as that were bad. So instead, he picked up a sqiurming Aqua and held onto her firmly to prevent the carbuncle from being any more an interruption. It took him a while to get the item he had, but he wanted to give a gift to someone. Knowing her as much as he did, she likely would come in here to cause some form of commotion to bring attention onto herself. It was a place that allowed that after all, and she was not known for passing up the chance. When it happened, he'll be there to applaud her.

When Aqua seemed tame enough, he let her back down onto the ground again, the pet just prancing around his boots this time. The brunette wondered about the instruments in the background, he wanted to see if he could jump in. Of course, he didn't expect for a violin to be here. And while Shima did let him borrow her abilities, he was unable to form a violin since the power of creation was hers, not his. "Hey, is there a spare violin I could use to perform with the orchestra?" Elyx asked the floating instruments, hoping the source behind them would hear him. Aqua yipped once again, this time not so happy and cheerful. This was a sign for him to be careful about what he was doing, so his magic wasn't completely concealed as he is now on complete alert.

Shima in the meantime would watch over from above, hiding herself from Elyx and any other beings, wanting to see how this would go. A simple white lie about going to the casino and now she was detached from him. As a spirit, she had no control over the world quite yet. But if there were any other spirits around the area to cause some mayhem with, she'd gladly join along. But for now, she had to keep herself in waiting. A smirk on her face as she looked down onto the mages, waiting for something interesting to occur, then to capitalize on the chance. Conflict into chaos, and what better season to have both occur?

The charm of Mura wore off from her very quickly, she loved playing around with people, but it required multiple targets to keep her entertained. However, since she was one with the wind, she could bounce all over the place for the entire night if she wanted. Kazehime glanced once for her apprentice, to see if Desiree had shown up yet as she knew the other female was attending. Would the idol be singing or just partaking in the party tonight? Jiyu had no clue, and she wouldn't pry until she found - it didn't take her even five seconds to find something else interesting. The white scheme she used to play with Mura faded back to allow black hair with orange high light's to show through, her eyes brightening back up as her black tail wagged and the small girl floated over towards elyx.

"Yo, elyx, remember me?" the floating female was wagging her tail slightly, greeting the brown-haired male, taking the time to nearly land in front of him for a few seconds, showing she had a bit more interest in him than a random passerby. "I haven't seen any besides for the ones being played, but maybe if Astrid shows up she'll bring her's." so he could play the violin? It was a thing to know, but she still deemed anything she had learned when watching him marry her guild master as more interesting, including the fact he could put up with izayuki enough to marry the lovely Tanuki. Kazehime chuckled slightly thinking back to that day, but something about it was foggy as if she wasn't remembering everything perfectly as if there was an absence. However, that feeling faded quickly and she resumed her levitation. Sometime's that sort of thing just happened, she could just get a feeling she had forgotten something before her brain filled in the fact she had indeed forgotten nothing and it was only a simple sensation of deception depicted by her own head.

"Hey, you're still with Golden Pheonix right? Do you know if Leila is showing up tonight?" she had a habit of going on missions with the white-haired Eden goddess and when Jiyu's habit of going out on missions all the time permitted she would write to the other mage. One of the wind witch's reasons for showing up tonight? Was the chance she figured Leila would show up as well, seeing Elyx gave her a chance to ask someone she felt may know if she was right or not. Since she had not gotten to write recently past heading out on missions, or generally tracking down negative energy to refuel herself, maintain her form. Hopefully, Elyx would give her good new's, of course, he also may not know, like she had no idea where Desiree was right now, nor did she know there was a chance Lu-Lu could show up to this event and see her like this, hear her unaltered, find out she was Mikka. Of course, she would be done for the night if that happened, she would just evaporate back to Solace for days.

    MAKE YOUR TRUE CRYSTALS RADIATE.
    Desirée Blooms

"Desirée, are you sure this is the right place? I remember when you came to Crocus to perform for a live venue!" Kiwi exclaimed, as he bobbed over her ribbon inside her hair tilted toward the right along with a red and white rose. Desirée was in a similar yet different getup than she typically wore, especially since she would never clash the black, white, and red tones with her once blue hair. However, now that her hair was mostly white / silver, she was able to have more freedom with the type of clothing that she was able to wear. This was because white typically went with any color you could throw at it, therefore she felt as though her fashion choice could expand to other colors that wouldn't make her look like a flag. At this current moment she was wearing wearing a long black and white flannel-ish patterned dress which was met with a white long-sleeved top, as well as a vest to match over it. Lining the vest were pins and chains, as well as buttons used to tighten it to make her appear as if she had a slimmer figure. Her hair was held in two long side ponytails with skull-shaped holders, as well as having roses mount the side in a beautiful fashion. She had also done her makeup for this event, considering she had put three red tear-shaped dots under her right eye to fit the smaller pops of red that were around her outfit.

Desirée was very excited for this Halloween event, considering she felt as though she would meet other mages as well as see some familiar faces that she could perhaps strike up conversations with. She would also need to notify her guild members of the change of her appearance, considering the last time they had all seen her she had long, blue locks instead of the platinum white in which she had at the present time. "Oooh, I almost forgot about Adventurine!" Desirée exclaimed, as they neared what appeared to be the event's housing inside Crocus. Reaching new heights in magical power meant that she was able to sign new contracts, one of which was a small and independent girl which had never been to a party before. Desirée had promised her that she would be able to bring her one, therefore inviting her to the occasion for as long as she could be in this realm at a given time. "From Chrysalis, I summon thee: Adventurine!" she exclaimed, as she gripped onto one of the Crystals which jingled upon her golden hoop in which she used for summoning. Above her there was a smaller flash of light, following with green and pink swirls of energy filling the sky in its region. It was the first time Desirée had ever used Adventurine's Crystal, so she did not know what to expect. However, she did hope that the girl would dress up for the occasion.

CANDY CORN GALA • sitewide social gathering FwPZI7w

"EEEE~! Desirée!!!!!" a small and young voice could be heard from within the light, as a small green-haired girl in a small suit and cape ordained with bat wings hopped out of the light and into her arms. "I dressed up for this~! My mommy helped me, she was super super excited~! She thought I would look super cute in this outfit! We match too! OMG!" Adventurine exclaimed, as her small flower on-top of her head twiddled back and forth. "I'm so happy you invited me~!" she exclaimed once again, as she hugged Desirée's chest tightly and kicked her legs back and forth. She was only about two feet tall, and was a lot younger than Desirée was. However, Crystals are in-capable of dying, but they can definitely be born. Desirée hugged her back, and turned her so her back would be against her chest rather than the other way around. After all, this summon was very young, therefore it would not be the best idea to let her run around by herself at this event. Therefore, she planned on carrying her and letting her walk aside her while she was able to be present in this realm.

As they walked into the area, the ballroom looked just like a giant candy-corn. From floating instruments of the orchestra to ribbons coating the glass windows and tables sitting around in a beautiful and sophisticated manor, it had certainly appeared as if magic was used to set this event up. It had appeared that they were a bit early, considering besides her party there were three people there, two of which she had no clue who they are or where they were from. However, one meant a lot to her. Her name was Jiyu Kazehime, her mentor of the Black Rose Guild. She was nervous to see Jiyu's reaction to her newly done hair, considering it was a very big change to her appearance. However, she was confident that she would enjoy the change.

"Jiyuu~!" Desirée exclaimed, as she ran over to greet her friend in a nice manor. "Hiii! I'm Adventurine~!" the summon would exclaim as she ran over to Jiyu, nearly jumping out of her hands to hug the stranger that she was to the green-haired girl with a flower top. Jiyu would have never met this summon before, considering it was Desirée's newest contract of the three that she was eligible to sign with during this time of year. However, Desirée definitely loved this summon, as she was very entertaining and sweet to her new commander in battle. Despite her small and adorable appearance, she would be able to inflict a large chunk of damage from an enemy in which was on the opposing team in fights. Her flower was her weapon, and smelled just as good as it could kill. However, she preferred that she did not have to put her new and adorable summon in that situation just yet. After all, they were at a beautiful and fun event for everyone to enjoy without fighting and causing a rukus!

A familiar figured moved towards him a few moments later after he asked the question, noticeable from her cat-like features on her body. Dare he say a neko? Seems she came to him with friendliness, he may as well go through with it. His prophetic carbuncle happily purred as she saw Kaze, a sign of goodness from this mage. The brunette would engage with a simple formal greeting. "Of course. Nice to see you again, Kaze." Elyx explained with a small humble smile equipped. She landed right in front of him so that they could speak face to face, then gave him a possible solution. It rode on chance, but it was considerable at the least. Or not... He didn't want to rob a student of his of her instrument because he didn't bring one. Not that there was any fault to that, but he wasn't going to punish someone else of their chance. If Astrid brought her instrument, he wanted to hear her perform. "I'd love to hear Astrid perform.'' He explained, crossing his arms. Meanwhile, Aqua decided to invade Kaze's space as she would paw at her leg lightly. Elyx couldn't help but let out a reserved laugh from the interaction with his eyes half-closed. "Seems like Aqua likes you. That usually means you're good-spirited. She has a gift for telling such a thing. He explain, bending down onto one of his knees before reaching out his arms to the carbuncle. The pet was hesitant at first, seeming to want to play with the neko a bit more, but gave in and jumped back into his arms.

She asked him about Leila and if she was coming. Honestly, he has zero idea about her whereabouts as of currently. So he shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. "I honestly don't know. Haven't heard from her for a while." The brunette replied, Aqua whimpering to follow up. Disappointment was a tough feeling to inject, so Elyx tried to follow it up with some encouragement. "Of course, that is just based on my information. She might actually arrive on the scene you know, I just don't know it." Not exactly the best at comforting and soothing the truth. He could only hope that they did actually did arrive so he didn't seem any more of a jackass than he did right now.

    IF NOT NOW,

    575 WORDS ■ +1 Ticket

    WHEN?

As the moon held its place firmly in the dark sky, the eerie sound of silence could be felt resounding within this place, wherever it was. It was slightly off-putting for Hikari to remain in. All she felt was the cold air on her exposed skin and the feeling of nervousness welling up inside of her. It had been ages ago the last time she had attended an event this formal. She was excited at first, the thought of all the elegant food, conversations and the other people. But, the closer the hour came, the more of a feeling of dread that ate at the girl. The holy mage was somewhat new to socializing as it was a concept foreign to her if she was asked about it years ago. Now that she actually had a voice that wasn't constantly being silenced, this event could potentially be rather draining. As well as the fact that apparently most mages around the continent were called to this gathering made it feel even more stressful. As the Rising Star approached the venue, it was incredible the amount of magic energy she felt from the people entering the hall as well as from the hall itself. It was so potent that it was almost nauseating.

The noblewoman's heels clicked against the floor as she inspected the hall. It was honestly stunning since they had nailed the feeling of the current time of the year. The food table looked amazing, lined up with all sorts of food and desserts. Although, based on the scent and colour, it all looked to be flavoured something similar to pumpkin, a flavour that the Black Rose mage didn't enjoy. It felt awkward to be in fall and not like one of the signature flavours but that was just her thoughts on it. The rest of the hall was coloured similar to candy corn, with it being primarily, yellow, white and orange. It may had had all these bright and calm colours but it made it feel all the more ominous but it also managed to have an elegant air about it at the same time. The holy mage sighed, knowing that if every mage was invited, then this elegant atmosphere might not be lasting much longer so she might as well enjoy it while she can. The music was positively entrancing and Hikari was eager to look for the source of the pleasant sound. Looking around, the holy mage ended up seeing a decent amount of familiar faces, as well as an amazingly talented ghost orchestra. Or would lack of seeing the orchestra be more fitting. She saw allies of past guilds and current friends. She noticed Elyx and Jiyu speaking to each other. Despite being in Jiyu's guild, she didn't know much about the woman. Walking over towards the two, the holy mage would wave with her gloved hand, smiling at the two. She also noticed a small humanoid that would hug Jiyu as well as seeing another guildmate, Desirée, if she remembered the name correctly. Hello! It's good to see you are all doing well. Hikari would observe quietly, as she awaited a response, at the small humanoid curiously, wondering what it could do. At that time, she also noticed an emerald creature nudging at her guildmate's side. There sure was a lot of things that she didn't recognize tonight. Hopefully, she can learn what it is from whoever it belongs to.

People... What exciting folk. To think that a social gathering of this magnitude could take place surprised Mythica. She wasn't one to judged, but in her experience most people seemed to like their isolation. While not completely alone, of course, many decided to share the same guilds and cities as one another, but having multiple wizards from all over Fiore all gather in one spot... It was exhilarating. To think of all the fun she could have at this little get together... It was too good an opportunity to pass up. She HAD to join in. To think of all the wizards that would be there, many whom she had never heard of before... And some she was ecstatic to see again! With those thoughts in mind, Mythica gave it a dark grin as she entered the scene, looking at the marvelous party already taking play... Of course, this time around Mythica looked more normal than she would otherwise look. Instead of her black and orange frilled dress (which actually would've fit the theme very well.) she wore a simple black and white dress. Her hair had been let down instead of tied into an uneven twintail hair style with red rose pedals threaded into her raven locks. However, the most noticeable feature about the girl was the massive white eyepatch wrapped around her left eye... Wouldn't want it to be noticed that easily now would she?

As she entered the hall, many of the faces she saw were unfamiliar. However. the all mostly had something in common... Their hearts felt more pure than her own... At this thought, Mythica could only grin darkly. It appeared that the majority of these mages were legal... It seemed like the clock eyed witch was a solitary thorn among roses... It would be a lot of fun to expose that fact.. But she knew her odds. If she tried to cause any issues, many of the mages here would have little trouble shutting her down. No... She needed to be smart with her power. She wouldn't risk anything here... Not yet anyways. There was a time and place for everything... And right now wasn't that time... Luckily for her, however, Mythica was not a known dark mage, or a known mage at all really. She doubted anyone here would know her or her true alignment. For now... She had to enjoy the last few days of peace before the entire country would know her name. A plan she had been brewing up for months now had almost neared completion... This was simply the calm before her storm. It would be nice to know some of these people anyways... She would need to. If she hoped on crushing every single person here one day...

Humming to herself, the girl would stroll over to the table filled with food, pouring herself a glass of pumpkin juice and turned to face the party, sipping it contently while she hummed... Waiting for something exciting to happen as she watched with a smile...

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ H Rank

The invitation was received and accepted by the eager young Bakedanuki, who felt inclined to go despite the special day that it was for her. On the thirteenth of October, she turned twenty; aging by one year. For a canine, birthdays really meant little to nothing. However, living with humans for so long had taught her that they had a unique kind of charm about them. To humans, a birthday was a time for celebration and reunion. It was something that the Black Rose guild master could now get behind, as she gazed down happily at the pink scarf warming her neck. The clothing accessory had been a gift from her late mentor in the old village, Naugrem.

Though the village was now gone, Izayuki fondly remembered their company, and kept their memory. Now, however, the youthful mononoke was wearing a formal autumn dress and slowly entering the ballroom. Much to her surprise, crimson eyes caught sight of a few familiar faces, including Seika, the white-haired and cyan-eyed ayakashi companion of the guild master.

Her first instinct was to approach Seika, wondering if the other yokai was in any mood to converse again. Ever since that one night on the rooftops, her companion had kept her distance, faithfully doing her duty within the guild, but rarely speaking to Izayuki unless it was on business matters. Before she could finalize her decision to walk over to the white haired ayakashi, the Bakedanuki spotted another familiar shape among a few.

Jiyu, Desiree, Hikari, and Elyx were of course recognizable. Her next instinct was to visit her husband. However, her mind seemed to be edging towards the more playful side of things. She eyed Mura, the Onmyoji who appeared to be in a panic, and quietly slipped over to him. Once close enough, the girl transformed into her silver furred tanuki form and attempted to leap atop Mura’s head. “Why hello here, my throne,” she cooed happily, followed by a delighted and amused giggle.

Only now was the tanuki beginning to take in the rest of her surroundings. The ghostly orchestra, the smell of pumpkin spice lattes, the many white people drinking them, and the other people simply standing by and socializing or dancing. It was an interesting scene, and she hoped to make her way around to catch up with everybody. After all, she had been missing in action for quite a while now.

Not long after she engaged Elyx in interaction, started thinking about how she could play with him, what she could do to get under his skin, it was something Jiyu did well. heck before the trauma that made her frightened of men? She would have straight up flirted with him if she thought Iza wouldn't wring her neck for it, but since she was afraid of men and Izayuki was one of the few people she didn't want to see the result of a fight against, she wouldn't do it. Plus sometimes just plain interaction would be fun, though she always preferred to play games and do something more fun than a casual face to face chat when she could. Luckily before her brain got her into trouble Desiree arrived on scene with her little green thing and not Kiwi, a little green plant girl that jumped to hug her. 'Well hello then, I'm Jiyu your summoner's mentor." the wind user chuckled it, seemingly used to holding some small child like such. Considering she low key had little siblings she'd abandoned and had Makoto who she cared for, Jiyu best know how to hold a child, but that was another story, not tonight.

    "Astrid plays amazingly."
the words were clearly fonder than Jiyu spoke when she referred to some casual stranger, actually the tone was only something that was pretty much reserved for her childhood friend. Though sometimes she cursed that Astrid knew she was alive, but nothing could change that. When Elyx's pet started pawing at her the female felt some strain between the pet's touch and the weight of the child in her arms, clearly not being made for such thing's, when Elyx took his pet back she attempted to hand the little flower child back to Desiree with a weak smile, not exactly wanting to say such a small thing was too heavy for her. "Well, I'm glad to be good spirited." the impulsive Inugami chuckled slightly, smiling genuinely. She would have loved to play with the adorable little creature, but she would need to regain some 'energy' before that was possible. Most of the time her strength was from the wind and only that her body had grown ridiculously weak because it didn't need to be strong.

"is that really fun?" Jiyu watched her Guild Master aim towards leaping on Mura's head in her Tanuki form, thus the female grew curious as to why sitting on people's head seemed amusing to the other female. The only way to find out? Was apparently to transform into a puppy sized version of her true form and attempt to sit on the head of whoever was closest to her, likely Elyx, Desiree or Hikari. Hopefully, once she had completed that simple task? She would understand why iza wanted to treat Mura as her throne. Clearly, though she would not stay upon another's head for as long as her guild master may, she just wanted to see what the fuss about it was, maybe find a new hobby to partake in.

The doors opened and thru the doorway floated a small back and grey Exceed and a dragon slayey in a pure black tux, Sol had a pure black tux which while simple looked very good on the slayer and brought out his ruby eyes, he had swapped out his normal black combat boots for dress shoes and he had his Kiseru out and he took a hit of it and enjoyed the mix of tobacco and Deadly Nightshade as he breathed out the smoke. “tell me again Sol why are we here again I thought we had stuff to do in the castle?” Nu the exceed questioned as she floated by the slayer who just shrugged and took another hit from his pipe.”eh it seemed like an intresting way to pass the time and besides how can I resist free booze” he joked as the floating cat just shook her head in amusement.

A few sniffs of the air told the dragon that he was not the first one here and he could see a few people already mingling and enjoying their company, while Sol knew this event was peaceful it still set him on edge to see so many legal mages but he pushed his discomfort down as he went further in and focused on not drawing a lot of attention to himself yet. Sol moved past the pair of Jiyu and Elyx and he simply kept smoking his pipe as he also passed by Mura and Izayuki before finally finding the table with refreshments and food on it. The slayer smirked as he saw so many things that looked and smelled good to eat, he quickly grabbed a few slices of pumpkin roll with crème cheese filling and he grabbed a cup and filled it with alcoholic punch while Nu ate a slice of pumpkin pie.

This pie is pretty good Sol you should try it” she said as Sol took a bite of his pumpkin roll and sighed before taking a sip of the punch.”I’ll get some later”he said before he noticed that one of the guests was also near the table and she looked slightly bored, since he got the feeling that she wasent a legal mage or someone that would try to kill he decided to approach and try to talk to her. He moved over and glanced out at the growing group that was arriving and then spoke. "not interested in joining the group” he asked as he motioned out to the other mages with a slight tilt of his head. Nu just relaxed in the air beside the poison shadow dragon and munched on her pie while she kept an eye out for any potential trouble makers for Sol, She knew that the dragon had enemys but if she kept her eye out she could warn him ahead of time so he knew even if this was a peaceful magic negated event since. one could never be too careful after all

Damn that… the samurai ghost was nowhere to be seen. At first, the shaman thought that Kyuken was preparing some kind of jump-scare for him, given that it was rather clear to see that Mura had a very frightened reaction to this hall. It sounded like something that the spirit could plan to do at the moment, which only pressed his nerves even more than already. “… Look, it’s not fun, Kyuken…” he mumbled so silently, feeling more and more insecure about his position and everything. The orchestra just kept playing their classic yet ear-catching melodies like before, and if not for all the ghost themes, he would’ve actually complimented their contribution to the ball as well as their musical attributes. However, he kept his guards up for now, feeling that wherever Kyuken was and whatever he was planning to do in order to get a good laugh over Mura’s shockingly hilarious shocks, he wasn’t going to stand idly by and let that bastard take advantage of the situation. I know that you’re out there, Kyuken…, he began thinking in order to distract him from embracing the horrifying atmospheres, I’m… I’m not afraid of you. You’re not like the other ghosts, you’re okay enough… you won’t scare me…

A stranger’s delicate voice caught him off guard, commenting his visions that made him look as if he was about to get possessed by something. If not for the last words, he would have been shocked, but something about the nickname ‘spikey head’ caused his head to, instead of sweat and horror, manifest question marks that triggered his curiosity more than his fear. He quickly turned around to express his dry reaction to the nickname, but it turned out to have been the worst thing to do at that moment. Once he took a look at the person who addressed him, his heart stopped. His face turned white and empty, his eyes lost their glance, and his spirit almost left his body in a quick, impacting interval of fear that caused him to let out a mute, wide-open scream… thank goodness that it was mute, he would’ve just made a fool out of himself if not. However, the being looked rather amused by his reaction, and that too caused him to put question marks on its intentions. As she continued asking him, he finally pulled himself together by straining his tie and breathing in. She really got a good scare out of him, given that he expected Kyuken only to pull such a prank out. On the good side, he wasn’t the only guest here tonight anymore; with the prankster’s arrival, several others entered the room as well, all seeming to have gotten the invitation that he also found on his doorstep. It was quite curious for him to know who was behind all of this, because all that he got in the letter that pointed towards anyone’s identity was the title ‘Pumpkin Lord’.

Back to the prankster, she was seemingly asking him if he had seen others arriving. She mentioned, at first, a girl with blue eyes, white hair of the type that went transparent. He wasn’t sure if she meant that same person, until she mentioned her name; Leila. That was a familiar name that he did know of, the name of a specific girl with nature’s powers on the palm of her hand. However, he hadn’t seen her in a long time, not since that night at the cabbage place in that gloomy town. Therefore, he couldn’t really help by telling the ghostly prankster about her whereabouts, because he simply didn’t know. Afterwards, she asked about two others; another bright-haired girl named Astrid, one with a French accent. That was a new name that he hadn’t heard of before; it only added to his lack of any helpful information that he could give her. The last name was Akeya, a half-dragon… yet another name that he felt that he could have known if he wasn’t such a douche; yes, it was getting to him that he didn’t know these people personally, and that only added up to his helpless state. On top of his scared phase, his face looked rather saddened as he would reply with a small smile: “Y-Yeah… nice to meet you too, I guess. I’m Mura Kensho.” He scratched his supposedly ‘spikey’ hair as he continued, “I… I haven’t seen any of them as of late. I hope that they’ll arrive soon, though.”

Another male had approached the orchestra with the ghastly players, and when Mura took a look at him, he felt that he had seen him before. Or rather, it was more of a hunch than anything, but he didn’t appear too stranger-like for the shaman to find him as a new face. The previous prankster appeared to know him, and whilst she approached the oak-haired male, her shapeshifting features came to appearance. So that was how she pranked him; he couldn’t but safe that thought in the back of his head for another time. He also spotted when another familiar face entered, his previous guildmate Hikari. Flashbacks of that awkward valentine party popped up in his head, and he couldn’t but chuckle a little by the nostalgia. “If she’s here… then I hope that someone from my guild will arrive, too,” he mumbled silently. That was when Kyuken finally decided to make his arrival in front of Mura’s face, getting all spooky and ghostly as much as possible. However, after everything that the shaman had been through, the samurai ghost was years too late to scare him now. Besides, haven’t they lived with each other for ages? The perverted swordsman could never scare him like that, in which Mura simply spoke: “… You look like having high spirits.” His face was dryer than usual after all the tense from earlier, and Kyuken noticed that a few moments after he scolded himself for not having been scarier than that. “U-Uhm… you okay, brat?” the ghost asked him worryingly, in which Mura could see that he was getting anxious about his expressions and attitude. He slowly scratched his head again and smiled awkwardly in order to ease the atmosphere and show that nothing was wrong, replying: “I’m fine, I’m fine… now, shall we try out the delicacies? They’re mostly pumpkin and cotton-“

His words were cut off by the sudden greeting that he got from a very specific tanuki that had decided to jump onto his head. A little surprised, Mura moved his eyes upwards and noticed her bright, silver fur stick out from her face as she greeted him as ‘throne’. He couldn’t but laugh and greet back: “Hey there, my fluffy hat.” He lifted up a finger to stroke her forehead a little, having missed the extremely fluffy fur warm his head up in the cold night. It really saved his night to see her again, given that nobody else that he knew that much had arrived just yet. He moved his eyes towards the food that was begging to be tasted; orange punch, cotton candy, pumpkin pies and strong beverages with decorations that made it look more spooky than usual. He quickly clapped his hands together to go the lazy way and let the punch float over to him, but surprisingly, his Onmyōdō had absolutely no effect. It surprised him as well, causing him to scratch his chin a little while letting the fluffy tanuki rest on his head. “That was weird… I guess that it’s a no-magic zone,” he concluded, simply arriving at the tables by foot instead, “The punch looks great… so does the pie… what do you want, Iza?”

    Mythica
they promised all of your dreams

The party looked to be going along peacefully. As time marched on, Mythica could now spot a few familiar faces. Good thing for her, she had a guise on that differentiated from her usual get up which would be quite recognizable in this instance. She didn't really want to be noticed by more than a few of these people, it may cause some trouble. Then again, she wasn't exactly well known, so she might be able to play it off like a mistake.  But it didn't seem like she had to worry about that right now anyways. It appeared as if everyone by now had been enthralled in their own conversations with their fellow wizards and guildmembers. That was until an unfamiliar voice spoke to Mythica from beside her.

Her head perked up slightly and turned to see a man wearing an unusually dark tuxedo, and what appeared to be an exceed floating above him. Strange, she had never actually seen an exceed before. They were mostly exclusive to dragon slayers... And judging by the aura she felt from this man... he could've been exactly that. Mythica stared at him blankly for a second, before breaking into a light smile. "Oh I'm VERY interested in more than a few..." she chuckled, sipping from her glass. "I just find I tend to learn more about my fellow wizards by watching them... Learning from them." Mythica said, looking back towards the party. It was obvious that sounded creepy, and it was even more obvious Mythica did not care about her tone or word choice. She was confident this man wouldn't be off put by her like a lot of people were. He did feel different than the others, that's for sure. Similar to herself in a way... Maybe his alignment wasn't exactly as light as the rest of these wizards. How interesting.

"And you?" She asked, turning again to face his direction. "What drew you straight to this table as soon as you wandered in?" She chuckled innocently, alerting him that she was aware of the fact that he too had yet to interact with anyone else here. "Have they started rejecting slayers these days?" Mythica asked, looking to his exceed who was carefully watching their surroundings. Now Mythica couldn't help but wonder what his story was. He was obviously strong. stronger than her at least. She could obviously feel that, as any mage would be able too. Maybe it was such strength that garnered confidence when walking into a nest filled with assorted mages all mostly made up of the very alignment that wanted to destroy their own. "I'm Myth,
by the way... Pleasure to meet you friend."
She would say politely before giving a half bow to the man.

Now it was around this time in the party that things started to get REALLY interesting for Mythica. The sound of someone she actually knew hit her ears, and they were relatively near by... Turning her head slightly with a dark smirk, Myth peered into the large pumpkin cider fountain in the center of the table. Her dear dear friend was right behind it. Mura may not have noticed the girl yet, as he was too distracted by another girl... Izayuki Mythica thought her name was. Even though the two had never met, she knew the name. A guildmaster was usually quite popular in Fiore, but of course Izayuki was far from any regular guildmaster. And it appeared as if she were already friends with Mura. She knew this was a golden opportunity, so Myth turned once again to the slayer. "Seems someone I actually know is here." She said in a dark whisper. "Let's go meet them!" Mythica grabbed his hand and quickly tugged the man to the otherside of the table. "MURA!" She squealed. There was no doubt Mythica got somewhat excited around the samurai. He was in fact the persons he had spent the most time with in this country after all. Well, any wizard that was. She'd let go of the dragonslayer's hand for a moment as she quickly hugged Mura. "I had no idea you'd be coming..." She whispered in his ear before letting go and backing up with a smile. She wouldn't be surprised if it took him a few seconds to recognize her... She was after all dressed very differently than how he had gotten used to seeing her. The eyepatch may have been the tipping factor though. "Meet my new friend!" She said quickly, nudging the dragonslayer. While of course Mythica was very excited to see Mura, she wasn't going to abandon her newly met friend either. After all, he seemed to have potential and she wouldn't want to miss out on it. If her precognition said anything to her... It was that everyone here were destined for big things in the future... Maybe not good things, but they'd be big. "This is my dear friend, Mura!" She exclaimed to the tuxedo man. "And uh... Izayuki was it?" She asked spotting the silver furred tanuki on his head. While most people wouldn't be able to tell that the creature was in fact one of the most powerful wizards in Fiore, Mythica had little trouble figuring that out. Her time magic was subtle and allowed her brief glances into the immediate past... That and she remembered hearing Mura say her name from only a few meters away.  "Pleasure to finally meet you..." Mythica said underneath a dark smile. "I can honestly say it's an honor to meet one of the gods of ishval in person...
    "
She chuckled. "Oh, sorry! Goddess of ishval." Mythica quickly corrected herself. Even though Izayuki was extremely powerful and could probably sense Mythica's true alignment, Mythica worried little. She had never met the clock eyed witch before, therefore had no reason to be hostile towards her. Not yet anyways. But that may soon change within the next few weeks. It wouldn't be long until she was revealed to the world... But why think of that now? It was a party! And it was only just getting started...

Sol could only smile back as the woman told him that she actually was very interested in a few of them and she found that she learned more about people just by watching them. Sol actually found that to be very true and he nodded as he took a sip of his punch. Then she asked him what brought him over to the table and not to the crowds and if they were rejecting Dragon Slayers now. The dragon king could only chuckle and shake his head.” I’m not one for crowds most of the time and considering my reputation in fiore im not really accepted amoung most mages.” he explained. The woman introduced herself as Myth Sol bowed back and placed a kiss on her hand like a gentleman.” I’m Sol it’s a pleasure to meet you as well miss” he introduced as he glanced over and saw the other antics of the groups but he suddenly felt Myth grab him by the wrist and drag him to the other side of the table and towards a group of people

Sol could only blink in surprise as he was dragged and Nu followed him still munching her piece of pie and now had a cup of pumpkin coffee in her paw as well.his new friend introduced him to two new people one named Mura and the other was Izayuki. Sol got cautious for a moment when he saw the Tanuki since he knew of her reputation and while he knew he could hold his own in a fight but to challenge or be in the crosshairs of a god of ishval was not something that he wanted to do. When he was introduced to Mura and Izayuki he simply nodded to them .” it’s a pleasures to meet you both” he said with a small smile on his face which if one looked they would see his fangs instead of normal teeth. Glancing up at Izayuki the poison shadow dragon could only feel amusement at one of the most powerful legal mages being in the form of a fuzzy and cuddly Tanuki.

I gotta say I was not expecting a god of ishval to be so fuzzy” he chuckled as his ruby slitted eyes moved from Mura up to Izayuki before he felt his Exceed land on his shoulder and finish her piece of pie before she spoke.”so that’s a Tanuki I thought she was an exceed from our spot at the other end of the table” Nu said before she got flicked in the head by Sol.”Nu behave we are here to have fun not to insult people now apologize” he said sternly before the exceed glared at him before looking at Izayuki.”Im sorry” she said simply before she took a drink of coffee. Sol sighed before he glanced at the Tanuki.”she isn’t a people person she really only likes me and my guild master and that’s about it” the dragon explained as he took a bite of his second piece of pumpkin roll.

    MAKE YOUR TRUE CRYSTALS RADIATE.
    Desirée Blooms
    wc: 2073
    tickets: 4
"No way, you are Desirée's mentor?! Isn't that french for like, girlfriend?! OMG! You two are dating, I love it! You make the cutest of couples!" Adventurine exclaimed, as Desirée gasped and snatched her away from Jiyu the second she mentioned a relationship of those sorts. "Adventurine, of course not! Mentor means that she is my teacher, we frequently go on jobs and other stuff together. However, since you are one of my newer contracts, you have not got to see Jiyu in action." she told the green-headed flower girl, as she began to scale Desirée's body and sat on her shoulder. "Ohhh~! I was getting it confused with another word. My bad!" the Crystal exclaimed, as Desirée glanced over at the table across from them to see it was filled with deserts and drinks o' plenty. "Kiwi, can you get a glass and fill it with about five shots, please? Keep it discreet, I don't want Jiyu to know I am drinking." she told her pet, as he began to fly over to the area and begin mixing the alcoholic drinks into a large cup of Desirée's liking. She was always fond of drinking, and although the feeling of getting drunk made Desirée feel rather excited, she also loved the bitter taste of strong alcohols and mixed drinks. She was not that much of a lightweight thankfully, so this would hopefully make her feel at the most tipsy.

As Kiwi came back with a giant glass made of beautiful orange glass resembling a candy-corn, she oriented the straw to her mouth and began to take in the multi-colored liquids of the cocktail. It tasted sugary and sweet like a mixture of fruity drinks, as well as expensive vodka for the alcoholic taste. When she took a few big gulps, her face began to slightly fluster due to what appeared to be a higher alcohol-content than normal, but she did not let this phase her personality in the slightest; or so she thought. "This party is finally starting!" she exclaimed, as her eyes locked onto another guild member which she did not have any opportunities to properly introduce herself to. She was another beautiful girl of the Black Rose guild, which they certainly didn't have a shortage of. After all, there were predominantly females in that guild, but there were a few men to accompany them. Luckily it was not a harem, but it certainly could form into one if they just lost a few members.

"Hi Hikari, I haven't seen you in quite some time! I seem to see your face from time to time, but we haven't really had a lot of time to speak girl to girl, you know?" she told her, as Kiwi and Adventurine both began to dance around on-top of each side of Desirée's shoulders. Black Rose was certainly one of the more well-known guilds, especially for their efforts and abundances of Rising Stars. Both Hikari and Desirée had been spotted by the Magic Council in a positive manor, and their faces had been spreading across Fiore like wildfire. "We should go on a mission sometime, I would love to learn more about you and see what you are capable of." she told Hikari with a smile, as she rose one of her hands to begin petting the soon-to-jump off of Desirée's head Crystal. "Hi Hi Hi~! I don't believe we have ever met before, I am Adventurine! I am a really young Crystal, one of the newest generations in Chrysalis! I grew my flower early, looky!" Adventurine exclaimed after she had hopped into Hikari's arms, pointing toward the flower on-top of her head. Desirée had made a mental note that Adventurine was a very touchy-feel kind of Crystal, which would be as useful as it would be devastating. However, she certainly was a cute little Crystal at that.

"I'm sorry about her, it seems as though she can get a bit rambunctious at times..." Desirée told Hikari, as she walked towards her and picked Adventurine up out of her arms and back onto her shoulders. "I hope we can speak another time, I really think we would make a fantastic duo in battle and saving Fiore from tragedies!" she told Hikari with a large smile, as she turned and began to walk toward the other mass of people standing near the table filled with more food. She had noticed that the famed woman named Izayuki was there, which was certainly a name that drifted around the Silver Moon Inn quite frequently. After all, she was the Guild Master of Black Rose at the time, therefore Desirée knew that she must be extremely powerful and wise when it came to serious and combative situations. She looked to be in a fluffy and grey form on-top of someone that she did not have a clue who they were or what guild they belonged to, but since Desirée was a sociable person she felt as though she should try to meet as many new people as she could at this party.

While Desirée was a very confident and social person, she was still nervous to approach her Guild Master. After all, she had never met her before, therefore this would possibly be the first time she had ever seen her face. However, Desirée was sure that Iza had at least heard a song on the radio or possibly seen her face in a magazine due to her status in the public eye. "Adventurine, if you embarrass me during my introduction to this person, I will throw you so high into the atmosphere that you will return to Chrysalis in an inconsequential means." she told the Crystal which was sitting upon her shoulder, as the Crystal made a zipping motion over her mouth to signal that she was going to shut up for the time being.

"Hello Izayuki, I have not had a chance to formally introduce myself... I am Desirée Blooms, one of the newer members of Black Rose. It is an honor to finally be able to meet you face-to-face." she told the fluffy tanuki above the stranger's head, which she hoped to be able to meet as well. "As goes for you, it is a pleasure." she told the spikey haired boy in which Iza was sitting above, grinning from ear to ear before taking another large gulp of her alcoholic beverage.

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ H Rank

The tanuki happily acknowledged the greeting from Mura, and allowed him to gently stroke her head, as long as he did not inch too closely towards her ears. She noted that Mura could not use whatever technique he was trying, though she could still feel magic in the room. Perhaps it was less of a magic zone, and more of a “don’t use magic on my stuff” zone. When the friendly Onmyoji asked her what she wanted to eat, the Bakedanuki chipperly replied, “Red velvet cake~!”

The crimson cake was the best dessert in existence, and nothing could convince the tiny guildmaster otherwise. However, before she could be given any bite to eat, the raccoon dog turned her silver-furred head to peer at the small girl guiding a dark haired man over. The girl wore an eyepatch and lovely dress, while the man followed behind with an exceed. The dark haired girl appeared to be a friend of Mura, and politely greeted the tanuki hat, recognizing her for her Wizard Saint status. The man also greeted her, while his exceed made a comment about not recognizing the canine as a tanuki, but a winged feline like herself.

A cunning grin appeared on the Bakedanuki’s muzzle as she began to respond to the two. “It’s nice to meet you both. You both appear to know my name; what are yours?” she began with a warm chuckle, before peering at the winged cat perching on Sol’s shoulder. “No need to apologize,” she chimed, before shapeshifting before their eyes with a poof of smoke into a light-furred Exceed wearing a dress and a bow. “It seems you weren’t too mistaken; I’m an exceed now~!”

Izayuki kept her footing on Mura’s head, giggling at her transformation. By then, she recognized the presence of the Black Rose guildmark and one of her own guildmates there to introduce herself. It was a newer one, likely one who had joined while she had been missing in action. The exceed gave a formal bow and responded to the light haired girl. “I’m happy to finally meet you too, Desiree. I apologize for having been absent, and unable to formally welcome you into Black Rose.”

She had not avoided her guild out of any choice of her own. But while she had been undergoing the yokai darkness within her trying to steal away her reason and ‘humanity’, she had to separate herself from civilization, or else risk harming someone close to her. Fortunately, that time had passed, and once again she was able to attend parties and events with friends and strangers alike.

Red velvet cake… that was a very specific wish. For a second, the Onmyóji was a bit nervous that they didn’t have that kind of cake around, but he politely tried his best to look for one on the table. He looked across many other delicacies and types of cakes, though, for instance the bright cheese cake that looked like a skeleton’s emptied skull, enormous cotton candies, pumpkin, pumpkin and yet more pumpkin stuff to eat, and also a huge fountain of pumpkin cider. Having taken one of the huge cotton candies only, Mura thought that he could see some red cake in the other side of the fountain, in which he would focus his vision to see if it was true. It would have been a great sign of fortune if the tanuki’s wish came true just like that, and besides, hearing her voice about the cake, Mura could conclude that it was passionately loved by Iza. Maybe red velvet cake tasted amazing, and maybe he wouldn’t regret taking a bite himself…

A very surprising feeling crossed his spine when he turned his gaze back at the fountain again. Whatever red and yellow glow that he saw earlier had disappeared, but apparently, he didn’t have to wait for much longer to find out where it went. A squeal called for his name with a familiar voice that reminded him of the ancient, haunted ruins of that mage guild from where he accompanied Mythica, the very same lady who addressed him just now. Widening his eyes a little, he felt surprised and also a bit relieved; despite the horrifying stunt that she did back then, she appeared in high spirits and everything. She even hugged him tightly once again, deeply surprised that he had shown up to the party. It all took him by surprise, and more and more surprising, and even more when she had taken along a new friend of hers. “Eh, hehehe… it’s nice to see you around too, Mythica,” he greeted back with a friendly smile, “And yeah… she’s pretty fluffy, don’t you think? But your little exceed looks fuzzy as well.” The tanuki atop his head was truly powerful on top of fuzzy, clearly deserving the title Goddess of Ishval. Now that he thought about it, didn’t he have plans back then about aiming for such a title himself?

Her transformation ability came to view once again, trying to prove that the exceed that was accompanying the sharply canine-teethed mage was right on her assumption. It was an amusing sight, and while the shaman still tried to find that specific cake that the tanuki hat had requested, a new member of Black Rose approached and greeted them both. “Oh, hey there, Des-chan,” he quickly but warmly greeted back to the light-haired girl combined with a few pets on her head, “I’m Mura Kensho-“ His words sounded to have a more strict pause at the end as Kyuken floated by, aiming his eyes on Desiree with passion and… oh crap. Instantly, and out of instinct and experience, the shaman grabbed a hold of the spirit ball and clenched it rather violently to prevent the naughty samurai ghost from doing anything inappropriate to the cute mage who had encountered him. After the ghost was forced back, he did lay his eyes on something on accident, but it was more fitting for this moment; red on the inside, white on the outside, and with the velvet smell in the air, he had quickly taken a slice of it and put it on a plastic plate while having finished the candy corn. He slowly took a quick sample of it, whilst also lifting up the plate to the tanuki atop his head. “… Hey, it does taste pretty good.”

The invitation was very lovely, and truly it was wonderful to behold. He found that he couldn’t really understand why it was so spectacular, but it was. Reading it over he wondered who this Regent of the Night could possibly be. Was she a witch, was she a vampire like him? He didn’t know, but what he did know was that he would be delighted to attend. There was nothing like a beautiful gala, and he always arrived in the greatest of style. So, right now he was working about getting himself ready. He pulled on black slacks, and a deep purple button up shirt, but with the toxic green vest he put over it he was showing off. He pulled on the red duster that was his life’s blood now, and it was clean enough to put any real fancy coat to shame.

His hat he always kept in great shape and he snugly attached to his head smiling widely. The last was he put on the fanciest belt that he owned with all the fanciest deck boxes that he had. His sword went on last and this was hidden by his great red coat. Now he was ready to go, but he decided that he would take one of the roses and attach it to his vest like a little decoration. This was the perfect outfit for him, and now he was smiling as he looked to Gora and pulled out a very beautiful collar “You are coming with me boy. I don’t go anywhere without you. However, we were ordered to be dressed up, so you are going to be that.” He attached the collar that was simple, but elegant considering the affair they were going to.

He and Gora traveled to Capital Crocus. He was perfectly happy to arrive there as he had been in the capital before. Arriving at the location of the party his eyes went a bit wide. He was surprised to see the fact that so many people were around. Not to mention that the opulence of it all was staggering to say the least. Still, he had been used to living in a great flying castle/fortress before it had been brought down upon his head. His heart sank at that, but with a shake of his head he moved into the room. At his heels was Gora, his mind solely focused upon making sure that he was right next to Ryo always no matter the case nor the cause.

Looking around the room he noticed a variety of guilds could be represented here. Ryo however, kept his eyes open for anyone that he would recognize. He knew lots of people outside of his guild, but he also had a few enemies. Primary of which was a little girl with crazy abilities. Along with the mysterious shadowy man that Lord Frederick had told him had accompanied the girl when she crashed the guild master’s meeting. He saw neither of them, and he only counted that as a further blessing. Moving along to the banquet tables he quickly found the drink, and the food giving Gora whatever he could eat, and took a very good-sized drink for himself.

Rather he had formed a much larger cup/mug than was at the party using his cards another little gift of his magic. Filling it with alcoholic pumpkin drink of some kind took a deep swallow and groaned loudly in appreciation of the delightful buzz of alcohol. He stayed nearby the drink station pulling out a card from his element’s deck and flooding his magic through it. That was then before he stirred the now red and dripping card in his drink turning it to a very strange reddish orange color. Sipping it he delighted in the new taste, and was simply keeping his position stable shuddering softly from the delight that he took in the bloody drink. He would look approachable, Gora would also look very relaxed considering the whole of the situation. For now, the pair waited and watched for what would happen.

    IF NOT NOW,

    1504 WORDS ■ @Izanootki ■ 3 Tickets

    WHEN?

While inhaling a rather large breath, the holy mage puts a hand on her chest. This atmosphere really was getting to her. Having all these horrible memories that were long forgotten resurface once again was horrible. She had forgotten all the times where she was forced to act at events such as these ones. Having everything come back at once caused the noblewoman to feel light-headed. Closing her eyes, she focused on the enchanting melody being played in the background. Sighing with comfort, she found herself getting lost in the music. Each note played had lowered her stress and feeling of anxiety until she could breathe evenly again. Thank goodness that there was music playing. Hikari had usually found music as an escape mechanism and was especially thankful of that right now. If there hadn't been music or the music quality was crummy, she might have had to excuse herself for the rest of the evening. But, the holy mage swayed smiling as she enjoyed the music for a tiny bit longer before opening her eyes. Oh! She was now face to face with a guild member of her, Desirée. She had seemingly been there for a while? Hikari probably did zone out but not for that long. She hoped it hadn't been a terribly long time that the silver haired woman was waiting. Desirée did not miss a beat and greeted Hikari, causing the woman to sigh. It seems like she was also aware of how they only really see each other at the guild hall but have never really interacted. The holy mage put a finger to her cheek while thinking. She hadn't been at the guild much due to getting out of her dry streak of not doing jobs and then, not many people were at the guild hall when she arrived back in town. The most she has heard of Desirée was performing at the guild hall occasionally, and bartending behind the bar counter. Oh, and seeing her summons in the Inn from time to time. But other than that, she didn't really know the Rising Star standing before her. Hikari smiled as Desirée as she mentioned taking a job together. Clapping her hands together in excitement, I'd be honoured to do a job with you! I'm also interested to learn more about you! But, we could talk about this another time, perhaps at the guild hall, as tonight is a night where we get away from the stress for a little bit. Chuckling, she looked at the creature on Desirée's head who jumped into her arms. Smiling gently, she rubbed the Crystal's head and said, It's a pleasure to meet you, Adventurine. It's a lovely flower that you have grown in addition to growing it early. Hikari had Adventurine in her arms until her summoner had grabbed her back. The silver haired woman had apologized for the summon's behaviour but the holy mage waved a hand in front of her face. No, no don't apologize. I understand that she is just excited. Nodding as she hears the other woman talk about talking in the future and potentially taking a job together as well, the red haired woman smiles, I look forward to it!

Walking over to the table had the holy mage gaze upon the selection of sweets, she pursed her lips slightly as the table was covered with mostly orange desserts. Which, at this time of year, meant pumpkin. Hikari didn't really like the taste of pumpkin because the smell was much too overpowering. It was too intense for a very subtle taste. She couldn't stomach it. But she saw some white macarons, she picked up a plate and moved about three to her plate. Biting into one, she smiled as it was vanilla. The cookie was cooked perfectly so it was perfectly chewy inside with a hard outer shell. The frosting inside had a strong vanilla flavour which made up for the cookie's subtle sweetness. Turning her head to face the other way, she saw a furry creature laying atop Mura's head. Oh. That was her guild master. The intense magic power was almost drowning with Elyx in the room and now Izayuki. This couldn't be a trap with two super powerful mages in the room. Could it? Walking over, the holy mage took another bite of her cookie. Gazing at Desirée, who had walked over as well, she saw Izayuki transform into an exceed. Hm, interesting. If she could do that, Hikari might have met her if she transformed into someone else since the tanuki seemed to have a rather playful personality.

Looking at the tanuki, she had gazed at Mura, playfully saying, I'd still wager that your exceed is fluffier. Just a feeling. Smiling at Mura, It's good to see you again, Mura. Looking at the 'exceed', she would wave to her, Nice to meet you in person, Miss Izayuki. My name is Hikari, though I think you might know that. Hikari had narrowed her eyes somewhat before going back to her sweet demeanor. This guild master put her through hell and back by assigning her on a mission to save the assistant of the boat maker. If Hikari didn't know any better, she would have thought that her fluffy guild master knew of her fear and decided to make her take this mission despite knowing it. So, the holy mage might have some underlying feelings but she wouldn't let them sour this first interaction. Too much that is. Maybe a bitter comment or two but then move past it.

    Spoiler:

Jiyu had extremely bad eyesight, but since she was not blind and thus had no haze over her optics to give this away? Mostly only those close to her knew of how much she could not see in the world, one could guess she was some sort of sighted from the way she stayed close to those she was interacting with, but no one who wasn't told for sure could tell she had poor vision because she spent a lifetime compensating for it. Jiyu was very good at sensing thing's like the exceed who floated into the ballroom, without actually seeing them, if the wind user's advanced hearing and sense of smell were not enough, than her connection with the wind and how it saw thing's for her certainly covered the rest of the bases in letting her pretend to be normal in terms of her vision, even looking towards the creature and Sol even though she could not actually see them.

"too much booze for my taste personally,"
she mumbled it to herself, from whoever's head her shrunken full form had ended up on, leaping off and transforming back to normal having not found the activity too fun. What did Izayuki see in doing that? Oh well, she'd have to ask the Guild Master sometime, maybe right now, yeah definitely right now. Of course, she'd have to stop having little giggle fits over how she had frightened Mura first, the way she could just smell the sweat drop and feel the fear, it was rather delicious, she would have to find him again after this, the male would be an interesting plaything. "Eh, I'm not calling you Mura, your Iza's Throne." she giggled again, the wind blowing her hair sharply to one side as she did, her tail lashing opposite to it. Apparently, Jiyu was always in some sort of motion, like the element she wielded with skill and grace.

"Well hopefully you do have some Guild-Mates show up, my Guild-Mates seem to be showing up well enough, isn't that right you three, well Izayuki is the Guild Master, but whatever, still all in the same Guild" All the pumpkin scent was actually starting to make her hungry, but she was largely afraid that she would be eating the wrong food if she went at the pumpkin stuff. As a child? She had a rather bad experience that taught her not everything was actually made with Pumpkin even if claimed to be 'pumpkin' this or that! While she could have pumpkin? The alternative products were often actually fairly toxic to her and she had no desire to get sick in the middle of the event. "I don't think it's a no magic zone, I just don't think we can cast on thing's like the environment because this levitation is a byproduct of my magic." and she would be growing ill if this was a zone without magic, slowly decaying because her body was constructed by her magical energy, she was entirely reliant on her element in earthland.

Someone newer came over, Mythica with Sol, and she took the effort of sniffing the air once more in order to integrate their scents into her memory. Tonight was not so much the night for learning thing's, but she would remember what she could about the new people she met tonight so that if she ever worked with them in the future she would be able to do so easier. "Aaw looks like Iza's Throne has a girlfriend." the female swiftly floated out of slapping range, levitating above the group giggling as she flipped in the air. Jiyu wasn't actually sure, but it was an adorable though, as it would make another Throne for her Guild Master if Mura got married. "Eh being a people 'person''" the wind user coughed after saying person. "Pleaser" it was clear the implication as she coughed again. "Is overrated, if I spent my life getting along all the time I wouldn't be a mage right now." she would be a damn good metal worker or knight, but she was sure she wouldn't wield magic. Of course, she had been doubting that lately seeing Astrid and Lucius both had become mages.

Her apprentices new summon was certainly interesting, an excitable little child, one that could have kept Makoto company if the Kitsunes bedtime wasn't before the party even started. "We'll let her see me in action a few days after tonight. I'm going to need a few days off after this." while she did go through the effort of attending such events like this? Honestly, event's and parties were not the best for her hyper senses, her hearing already being strained slightly. The wind user had the hearing of a dog, but she let her apprentice's drinking go for now, she was at a loss with it, she couldn't even stop her own father from drinking how could she stop Desiree from doing it. Jiyu didn't follow this time, seeming slightly down to an extent as her apprentice walked towards were Mura and Iza had went, than she heard what Desiree said to Adventure and giggled slightly to herself, it wasn't the summon but her mentor that the girl should be worried about.

Kazehime floated up behind Desiree sneakily as she could and as the idol began speaking the wind user made all sorts of funny face's and gestures including the classic devil horns, managing not to laugh until the introduction was done herself. "And I took her on as an apprentice, she's actually a very skilled mage already though." the wind user chuckled slightly, finally breaking out laughing over what she had been doing for the introduction. "Oh Iza is totally the fluffiest." it was times like this the wind user wished she could wear sleeves so she could laugh behind them, but she wasn't going to get that lucky anytime soon, the wind hated clothing on her. "What does it taste like? Does it taste like tons of spices or just one?" the wind user asked looking at Mura, trying to decide if she could risk eating the food here, or at least the same food someone else was eating.

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ H Rank

As her throne lifted the plate up to her, the exceed daintily picked off a piece of the red velvet cake with her tiny paws and munched on it gratefully. It was nowhere near the quality of a cake baked by Magna, though it was satisfactory compared to any other dessert; her opinion on her favorite food remained unchanged. She chuckled at Mura’s reaction to the red velvet cake, and finished her miniature piece rather quickly. The bright side of taking small forms was that one did not need much food to fill a tiny stomach.

“Good to finally meet you too, Hikari. I have heard your name more than a few times,” Izayuki said with an amiable purr, a noise she was unable to make in her more common forms. Beyond that, the Bakedanuki was not good with idle, but formal, conversation. She preferred things to be lighthearted and fun, not dull but polite chitchat. Crimson eyes easily spotted her ace, Jiyu, trying to make silly and distracting faces while the guildmaster was conversing with her Black Rose guildmates.

Grinning slightly, the light-furred exceed flicked her long tail-tip, and with that, summoned two of her Onajimi no Seishin, Familiar Spirits. The two spirits appeared to be tiny animals; a rabbit and a cat. However, their shapes depicted a creature formed entirely from a light blue, glowing rune, more than a realistic being. The unique spirit duo had been summoned right next two Jiyu. Both instantly pounced up on her, and with miniature paws, began tickling the Inugami. If she was going to have fun at the expensive of others, so was the canine Wizard Saint.

TL;DR - Arrived at party, sat down alone to have a drink, also looking very different now
    Leila Vergious Golden Phoenix

Far away from the prying gaze of other people attending this event, she would finally appear. As the texture of one of the walls started fading ever so slightly, a feminine figure would merge out of the solid material as if it was never even there to begin with. When one had such an interesting method of transportation, why would they ever not use it? It was nothing too grand in the first place. Just a simple ability that allowed the girl to merge her own body with the environment around her and move about unseen. With a faint smile, she would look around to discover that no one had seen her enter the room just as planned. And to her surprise, she also saw many familiar faces, as well as unfamiliar ones. With an event this strange, she was honestly expecting much less in terms of guests. But oh well, such was the nature of public events indeed. Despite being a mage for such a long time and a traveler for even longer, Leila had never taken too kindly to these events. Far too many people for her liking. She adored her own privacy and much more preferred moments where she could be either completely alone or with a select few people that she already knew. Presence of humans and more that she had never even seen before in her life meant a constant threat. And while it was bordering paranoia to be worried about anyone trying to pick a fight in a place like this, filled with legal mages always ready to strike anyone down at moment's notice, the worry was simple just a part of her being. Constantly looming over her, making its presence known to the girl.

Even earlier today when she received the invitation itself. She was in a rented room of a hotel present in Magnolia. With everything that has been happening, including her own embracing of Eden and everything that came with it, she did not have any time at all to be paying attention to what she normally did. The old lifestyle she used to have, wandering throughout Fiore and accepting different contracts, completing them and then taking refuge in the nearest hotel like a true wanderer without a home. It has been a very long time since she had done that last. So, even if simply for the sake of remembering the old, she found herself a hotel to stay in for the night instead of warping herself back into the Holy Gardens and restoring her powers there. Suffice to say, it was a very strange feeling that has brought back many memories, including unwanted ones. The image of Yuki sitting on the other bed presenting itself, the sound of a pigeon with a message from the magical council or one of her friends by the window echoing the halls of her mind. It all made her sigh. But not all of those wandering aspects were completely fake. Knocking on the door, it has brought the girl back from her endless imagination and right into the reality of things. But before she was even able to open the door, a letter would slide beneath the door with no footsteps to be heard, suggesting that whoever delivered it was either a special kind of being that did not have the need to walk on the floor, or took a great care to disappear as soon as it could.

That said, Leila lived through many other, even stranger things in her long life. Though, as the irony would have it, only the last twenty or so years of that life had any meaning to it at all. Taking the letter into her hands, the girl would examine it thoroughly in more ways than just the visual one. It was the paranoid feeling again, digging deep into her flesh and soul, crawling all over her like a giant spider that didn't know where to go. Magic, curse or any sort of trap. She checked for it all but found nothing at all. With that, it was probably safe to presume that the letter was completely safe to open and read. But it was almost a shame to do so. Even the envelope was rather fancy, of orange and black color. Adorned with many strange markings and symbols, some resembling pumpkins of all things. The Eden's guardian knew that humans had some sort of holiday these days, but did not quite care enough to actually discover what kind right now. Finally getting to the content of the letter, she was rather surprised to find an invitation to a public event in Crocus. Though it explained why she got the letter in the first place, as they were presumably handing out one of these to every single person they would come across, whoever was actually delivering these mysterious notes to people. Not that it really mattered at all. Normally, the girl would probably just forget about something as sketchy as this. But for some reason... there was this strange desire inside of her that wanted her to go to the place and see the event with her bare eyes. Perhaps the letter was cursed after all, casting a spell on her that forced her to go. Or maybe it was just her curiosity that took over.

And so she found herself here, among all those other people that accepted the strange invitation and were now either enjoying themselves or at least trying to. It was also quite amusing to watch certain individuals in dresses or other formal clothing, people that were very clearly not used to such style of attire and were fighting it as much as one would fight a deadly monster that attacked them in a dark alleyway. Leila herself wore something completely new to her today - a long oriental dress of white color with red accenting. She believed it was called kimono, or at least something similar to that. And she had to admit, she liked the style quite a bit. While the main body of her attire was rather plain, just simply done with one color, she upgraded it a little bit just before she arrived here by adding a floral pattern on top of it all, one that danced in a number of colors that were in the same scheme as this entire place. Red, orange, black and even yellow. This was exceptionally visible on the extremely long sleeves that were done in an interesting style, not going too much over the girl's palm but their side extending out for far more than it needed to, almost reaching the cold ground itself. The only real problem with a dress like this was the fact that it was, well... a dress, of sorts anyway. Long enough to completely cover her legs in other words. The girl was used to short skirts that did not restrict one's movement and this was pretty much as far as she could get from that norm, having to take care while walking so that she would not somehow trip over herself and cause a scene. The last thing she wanted was to be the center of attention in a place like this, at a time as this.

Even after seeing those familiar faces, she would rather turn her attention to the nearby tables and chairs that would provide bowls of fruits, plates of food and plenty of drinks to choose from. So once Leila's attention became focused on this specific area of this ballroom, she would run one of her hairs through the snow-white hair for a moment and start moving. That too was still quite new to her. After she completely embraced Eden and re-evaluated her existence, the girl's old appearance was lost and completely replaced. Though this new look of hers wasn't as far from the original as she probably thought. Silver hair replaced with white which was no longer completely straight but instead tied into a single ponytail about half-way down its length. Though that was only for this specific event, as she normally still had her hair straight. Her skin also appeared to have become paler than it was in the past. And perhaps one of the biggest changes, at least to the girl herself, the deep blue eyes were replaced with a shining emerald-like green. She was also still getting used to her pretty much completely new smell and magic. Truly, the only thing that seemed to be still completely same about her was the soul that she carried inside of this body. A small soul, one that was shattered in the past and was now still only about as big as four-tenths of what a regular soul would be like. But that was something unchanging, something that was always this way. Even such a tiny soul was perfectly capable of continuing to live on, even in a world most cruel. And that was perhaps one of the most beautiful things of this reality, something that the girl treasured greatly and would refuse to let go off even in the direst of situations, even in the greatest of perils.

But enough thinking about how different she was right now. With this much food present in one place, she might have as well tried to enjoy herself to some extent, yes? And so she walked around the different tables until she finally found one that suited her most, seating herself down. In front of her was a glass filled with whiskey, of all things, and a plate with Canary melon. It was to be expected that an event like this would lack watermelons, something that was completely out of place with its coloring. But the more yellow and orange alternative was still quite appealing to the witch, as she did not hesitate to bite down at a slice and drink it all down with the strong alcohol. The taste quickly reminded her just how long it's been since she last had a drink like this. In fact, it was rather difficult to actually remember when the last time was. Perhaps that day when she was hired by a traveling agency to test out their new tour? Back then, she had to visit three different countries and enjoy the festivals there. It was in Midi where they had a giant feast, food, and drinks everywhere. She got quite drunk back then, only to be exposed like that in front of her friend, Jiyu. Someone who apparently found herself at the same task. Those days seemed so far now... hell, back then the girl didn't even look the same. Having a transition from a regular human to something that resembled a human but had a fluffy tail and pointy ears. It was not a bad change in a sense. But the problems it caused, Leila did not even want to remember. Which might have been quite ironic, considering the girl's own situation right now.

Not only did her basic appearance change quite a good bit, she also had few new features now that she did not possess prior. Mainly, she had a pair of animal ears instead of human ones atop her head and there was a fluffy white and black tail sticking out from the kimono behind her. Yes, with the embracement of Eden, Leila became even further connected with the Gardens and all that inhabited them. Which meant that she became closer to nature itself than ever before. So much, in fact, that these animalistic traits showed themselves on her body. She didn't quite know what to think of it... but at least it was something that wasn't completely new to her. There was a certain bell that she had by her side even now, one given to her by the spirits that lived in the Gardens of Eden as a gift. Its abilities were changing over time and at some point, it was capable of giving these extra body parts to her at random. If she recalled correctly, it was also something she used to show Jiyu that it was perfectly fine being different. Or something to that extent anyway. There were so many memories, many of them damaged by the girl's own death that happened and were reversed afterward that it honestly became very difficult to recall certain events that happened far in the past. She didn't like feeling like an old granny that was becoming unable to properly use her memories anymore, but there was not much she could do about it all. With a sight, she took another sip of the strong alcohol and looked around. People were dancing and chatting all over, so much so that the girl had to ask herself - what even were they all talking about? Despite working with so many people in the past, Leila herself was usually quieter than most, at least in these situations. She could never find the right subjects to talk about.

"It's all just more of that useless chatter, don't you think? It's completely pointless to be even worrying yourself with what they could be talking about. Their words matter not. The mundane is not something that is of interest to us, the higher force in this world. You know that full well yourself now, right? After all that you have shown me after you broke the cage..."

"Perhaps. But if you truly believe their chatter to be completely useless, then feel free to suggest a different way of passing time here that does not involve me downing multiple glasses of alcohol while eating melons. I'm all ears."

A little mental conversation passed in the girl's head as Aurora, the other six-tenths of their soul finally showed up. Or rather, just started talking, as no one actually showed up. The two girls were connected on a level much deeper than anyone could even imagine, which allowed them to freely communicate like this. Though it was not always something advantageous. The goddess of Eden was perfectly capable of becoming much more annoying than anyone Leila had ever known for a variety of different reasons. But the biggest one was probably the sole fact that they were one and the same. In a literal sense, they were the same person. As originally, there was only Aurora, who's soul split into two pieces. And from the smaller piece, Leila was born. But the different environment they were exposed to for many years made them grow into two completely different entities, ones that often did not even share the same goals. With a sight, the girl would just finish her glass and pour another one as she watched all that commotion around her happen, wondering how it feels to be among the more popular people here. Even if she were to try her damn best, she could never be like them. She wanted to be a hero but did not want to be the center of attention. She wanted to be a hero, but used to question morales of these people and if they truly wanted to help, or were just after the money. She at least had the courage to admit her corrupted desires and joined a treasure hunting guild. Though it seemed that even that premise was slowly starting to peel off, revealing what was truly beneath it all. Though in Leila's case, there was nothing at all. It was a hollow space, devoid of ambition and goals to achieve. None that would be pure, nor corrupt. It seemed that alcohol was rather good at making the girl think a lot about senseless topics.

So you can throw me to the wolves
    Tomorrow I will come back
    Leader of the whole pack
    Beat me black and blue
    Every wound will shape me
Every scar will build my throne

Rubbing his head, the Samurai stared up at the large structure he had been invited to. It always seemed that around Halloween he found himself invited to strange places. Fortunately judging by the sounds coming from inside and the familiar scents, he was not the only one invited. He could only hope they weren't all brought into some sort of trap. As for now, the fire mage would enjoy himself. It was rather odd. Ardere felt as if he was drawn towards this place by some mysterious force. Perhaps it was worth the look. He was not one for grand entrances. He would knock on the door, and enter when allowed. Being a gentlemen, he had manners of course.

The Wizard Saint had been to Crocus many times, but never to this particular street or building. Perhaps he had been away for far too long, or maybe this location was special after all. The only way to find out, was to look. Stepping forward, he went to knock on the door. Before he could even knock, the door swung open slowly, creaking loud enough to make his ears twitch. Arching a brow, he peeked his head inside. Looking around he saw a rather grand room, and as he pressed further he began to notice the decor. It was indeed an elegant gathering of mages. Floating instruments and pumpkins, he could not help but admire the effort. Orchestral music playing and a spread of delicious food, how could one resist? Wandering the hall, the guild master noticed some wizards that he had met before or even knew well to an extent. He almost felt welcome.

Before he could began to socialize, it was now that Ardere noticed the presence of someone all too familiar. Looking off to one of the corners of the room, he spotted Ember Celica; his phoenix. She was in her human form as expected, adorning a gorgeous red dress, but what confused him was why she had arrived before him. He did not even know she was invited. Gesturing for her to accompany him, the majestic bird appeared to be just as confused as he was. Didn't expect to see you here. Her voice was elegant and confident as ever, but why was she here? I didn't expect to see you either. Were you also invited? The guild master inquired, unable to contain his curiosity. Indeed. Sorry I didn't notify you. The guild master nodded, giving her a reassuring look. It was something they could address later. For now, the gala.

Adjusting his tie, Ardere chose to wear a rather expensive suit for the occasion. Entirely black aside from the blood red tie, he kept Clarent wrapped up in a cloth by his side. He never went anywhere unarmed, it was not in his nature. Giving the food and drink a look over, he decided to wave to some of the nearby mages. How's everyone doing? Giving them a smile, he ran pale fingers through his thick brown locks. Looking up to the ceiling, it was now that he noticed the chandelier. Was the entire gala enchanted? Who was this Regent of the Night? A sense of excitement and wonder crossed his mind, one he could not shake. The Fire King poured a cup of punch and awaited the arrival of the others. He was certain this would not be the full extent of the guest list. And he was even more certain they were in for a surprised tonight. Taking a sip of his punch, he began an attempt to socialize with the others.

Ruvel had heard within the trading company that there was a gala going on within the mainland of Fiore, such thing seemed to be more of a bother than anything else to the youth. Still he had been the one that had been chosen to be the ambassador of sorts from the guild to take part in the festivities, and so had made the needed arrangements to get to the address within the invitation. He placed the invitation into his shadow who almost seemed to take it. 'Any idea where we are going Shindara?' he sent to the summon that stood as guardian within his shadow. '444 First Street in Capital Crocus it would seem our summoner.' he sent back to the youth whom looked around somewhat disinterested at the decorations after seeing what was happening back at home. He truly wished that someone else was given the assignment but no such luck so he was stuck in a place he didn't know with no one he knew.

His eyes continued to look around taking in all the sights and sounds as he tried to find his way to where he was suppose to turn up "This place is quite pretty." he said taking in the flower arrangements and such that he seen. 'To the left our summoner' he finally heard Shindara say to his mind making the youth nod and take the turn walking down what seemed to be a far more dimly lit street, he couldn't help but shrug thinking it was just there to build an atmosphere for the gala. It made it feel almost exciting in how eerie it looked he was thrilled, but in the pit of his stomach there was something there almost like a sixth sense telling him something was wrong; for now however he pushed such notions aside believing it was his over cautious mind playing with him in such an unknown area.

'Our summoner the door on the right is the correct one' he said to Ruvel who stopped to look at the building that was to the side of him, on the outside it wasn't much to go on but he could hear the music from where he was standing in the street. "This is going to be bad..." he said to himself as he took a deep breath bracing himself before he started to walk towards the door opening it. The first thing he was assaulted with was the smell of foods and drinks, his eyes moving around to look at each person with in the hall, he had to admit as he knew none of them it was rather daunting on the young man but he would do his best to represent his guild and so took a step in a smile on his face 'Fear nothing, we are here with you our summoner' Shindara tried his best to place Ruvel's mind at ease and it worked to some extent, he just had no idea what to do this was his first official party.

He walked to the musicians and smiled listening to them his head tilting a little as he appreciated the music. He covered his mouth as he laughed a little, he remembered how he had started learning music, it was part of one of his first contracts and how terrible he was. Shaking his head it seemed almost a lifetime ago he had practised for hours on end slowly getting better with the three instruments he could play, it was how he coped in the beginning now it was just a hobby and kept one of his summons happy so at least he couldn't complain.
