The name of the event is formal attire, my pretty little loves! So bring out your best dresses and suits and most importantly; Have fun! Also remember, this is a social, so there's no need to have any word count that you feel compelled to make outside of your comfort zone. Don't stress yourself or I'll beat you up with my carrot mallet! >:T

So the day had finally come to allow for visitors outside of new Lamia Scale members to come into this country. Pandora was very blanketed and hidden in the monsters that menace outside of these hidden places, however the guilds job was going slowly but surely in the extermination of them. Still, this idea of slowly allowing allied guilds to know of this guilds location as well as the country itself could prove much more beneficial for everyone. In cases of the allies to this guild, it could mean a location to which they know they can fall back to if they are invaded by Dark guilds and forced to abandon their own guild. For Lamia Scale, this allowed partners of the guild to come to Pandora for hunting monsters alike. Both parties profited from this in a rather high capacity in their own respects, however the only issue was in having the guild of Crystal Swan fly themselves over to Pandora. In having to rightfully convince tribal leaders alike to trust Lamia Scale to set themselves up in this locale as they had by proving themselves, they couldn't take many chances in abusing that right of being on their land and they would prove themselves fit to stay and be helpful instead of a liability that could get them all killed for it. Upon agreeing to this massive feast, Crystal Swan was to be picked up by a ship provided by Lamia Scale and would then fly them across vast seas to reach Pandora. Of course, it would stand to reason that they take the courtesy to send someone along to greet them and make sure that they had gotten picked up and taken safely. One in particular volunteered herself to go in quick a very... peppy and childish manner, but it wasn't as though she was going to be fought over between the other two. The choices were simple; Gisen, Silvia, or Raphael. The bunny was crossed off because she had to get things prepped with tables and the like. Down to the other two, it was easily decided that Raphael go as she had literally put her weight on top of the Sylph to keep her from getting a word in on voting. That left the other to help with details and coordinating; Silvia's specialty. So all in all, it worked out well!

Before apparel was fitted onto the bunny, she took the time to set up the room to Silvia's decor preferences and suggestions. Using a very empty section of the hall just beyond the doors to enter and another set just ahead on the opposite wall from the entrance laid what could be considered to be the "mess hall" for the guild. Something that they had started renovations in and left it to a blank room would fit very well to use for this evenings event! The hall itself was made of wood to begin with; a rich darker colored wood that was made from few trees that surrounded this entire continent. With it, several points along the room sat lighting while the main attraction sat above from the roof the 15 foot room. A large crystal chandelier with lighting fixtures all around, it brought light all around without causing refraction issues within the room from the lights. The crystal was a unique resource found only within the caves of Pandora where Gisen had a couple members bring back for this event itself. A simple task... provided nothing attacked them for it, but it was still a very nice little task to give out and allow others to not worry about it purposely being dangerous. The tables had been set out in an almost U-shape with the hallowed out area being faced toward the doorway. Each chair pushed in and cushioned to allow everyone comfort. The tables themselves were made covered in silk covers, of course and unknowingly crafted from the silk provided by moth like creatures and arachnid creatures that lived on this continent. The snow white sheets laid out perfectly and portioned with sections having dining ware set perfectly for each and every person with some in excess in case some should show up at a later time. Seating was arranged ahead of time with help of Samira and Aiyana as well. A group thought of allowing Crystal Swan and Lamia Scale to chat with one another. So each other seat was for the other guild to sit. Sure, it was forced upon others to sit with each other, but it still showed that the idea was to get to know one another too. Along the back line of the table was technically the head of it, seated upon the center two chairs were specifically reserved to be for Gisen and for the Crystal Swan guild master. Since Desiree's departure, she had yet to meet this new guild master and it was a good chance for her to do so.

As the ship would port itself in the location agreed to for the members of Crystal Swan and the escort ship to go, out would pop a creature from inside, rather than a person. The doors left wide open and on guard still. Across the way on a dock where a pole of wood to the wooden dock sat a pink and white creature, seated like a normal animal in a calm position that one would see a cat or dog for example. The creature seemed to have ribbons in various places around its body and a tail the lightly swished around from her own excitement to scare the members as they would attempt to sneak their way past the angelic being. Sure, this was only her spirit form, but they would get a chance to be hugged and harassed by her on their journey over. Besides, they had yet to see the most breathtaking portion of the trip yet; the overhead look into Pandora.

A Feast to Remember [Open to LS/CS only!] 20115_700-0

Final note!:So, seating arrangement is as follows; as described mid post, everyone is to sit next to someone of the opposite guild so that everyone can have some fun meeting new people. Aside from the set position that Lester and I have, it's free reign as to where everyone else would like to be seated. Posting order is not required for the time being, however I please ask CS members not get carried away before arriving at the guild hall. The "docking" post will only be for this current round. The trip will be summed up once you all have arrived to board.

    Le attire. Pink haired lamia:

The lamia found herself in Pandora once again, and for once it was not for the capture of hostiles nor the invasion of threats, instead the Guild Mistress thought it would be a great idea to invite a foreign guild in the country, Crystal Swan, over to Pandora. Hebisha remembered watching one of the larger guild ships fly off into the horizon as kids excitedly watched with her. However Hebisha had the whole event bother her mind.

Hebisha was no stranger to the existence of other guilds even before joining Lamia Scale, they chased her scales to the ends of forests, bordered cities and even aimed for her head one or two times. The lamia was not sure if Crystal Swan was one of those guilds as after all, they are a Legal Guild themselves among the many out there. It would not surprise the serpent if one of the small fry came after her.

That was one of the few bothers. The second was the impression. Lamia Scale was known for the hunting of monsters. What if Crystal Swan assumed the housing of Hebisha among their ranks was a falsehood to the guild's belief? The last thing Hebisha needed was to spark a civil war in a foreign land not owned by them. And that was where bother number three came in.

Hebisha was reminded greatly of her tribal past back when she was among other lamias. The lamia wanted to keep their trust, remain allies and companions in this mystical land that is Pandora. Quietly the lamia paced in her room, getting herself as ready as possible. The secretary bird looks up from its wing and sighed. The lamia stops when she hears the minor deity in her head.

"Your thoughts plague you like a swarm of locust Hebisha," The bird flutters off her perch and slowly walks over to Hebisha before gently climbing onto her serpentine body. "My eyes cannot be deceived... Come tell me what is wrong." Hebisha turns her blind eyes towards the bird, and then points to the three sets of clothing hung on her closet. Upon hearing the news of the feast some women in Hargeon thought it would be nice to gift her a set of new clothes, seeing as the lamia wore the same thing no matter the occasion. The secretary bird placed a talon on her beak before doing a brief pick of the right one. Hebisha had no idea what the clothes even look like, but she trusted the bird's judgement.

"You don't mind putting it on for me Maha?" Hebisha politely asks and without hesitation, the secretary bird morphs into a more suitable form, and dresses the lamia. Soon it was the flight over to Pandora and getting ready for the party. However as soon as Hebisha got there her eyes grew weary.

The temperature was temperate, the warmth mixed with the cool in a soothing blend in the air. Hebisha could feel a comfortable warmth on her exposed back and snake body like a woolen blanket was draped over her tired muscles in the middle of a cold winter. The lamia soon found herself asleep in place of the chairs that were empty, and unbeknownst to her a cloth fell over her human body as she slumbered, her whole length laid in a still parallel next to the table, like a really white scaly bench. One can easily mistaken in for a fancy form of seating.

The lamia found herself awake after time has passed. The lamia felt cloth over her body and warm weights along her snake half. The lamia dared not moved. The sound of chatter was loud and frequent. Oblivious to the possibility that the party has already begun, the lamia laid theee like a bench.

    "Let's practice dancing~"

No more fatal words had ever been spoken in the universe as those between a couple of aces, Crystal Swan's Theo and Rin. The two were practicing what should have been a waltz, but more looked like two baby space-giraffes feet battling while also encountering gravity for the first time. It was a symphony of laughs, exclamations of pain, and body joints smacking the clean floor of their transport ship taking them to Lamia Scale's dinner party. Theo was always an active individual, always in motion unless sleeping. Boarding the vessel had been done quickly, but once aboard, nervous energy took hold.

No one could look more uncomfortable than the Ace of Lapis. Banished were his usual tracksuit and dusty boots and in its place was an immaculate three-piece suit. The jacket and pants were charcoal in color, the vest a slightly lighter gray, and the shirt a snappy pin-stripe. It was expertly tailored, completed with black tie, white pocket square, and brand new black shoes that reflected his own nervous face in them. This was not the wardrobe of a tomb raider, or for any other active person, for that matter. It set him off balance, giving the extroverted male a taste of what it was like to be just the opposite. He didn't look himself, so he didn't feel himself. The only thing that was normal was from the neck up; his shaggy blue-black locks and those Theo-specific icy hues, and even those managed to look a bit awkward despite being generally more attractive in this moment. All of this hullabaloo just to fly to dinner!

His "date" that he wouldn't be sitting with was a vision, as usual. At least he could appreciate that both of his squad mates looked top tier, causing him to keep adjusting his tie in an attempt to keep up. Perhaps that's what spawned his brainchild that dance practice would be good preparation for the day's festivities, whatever that might entail beyond being terrified to eat and talking with people who expected guests to show up looking better than the best. He needed to get out of his head, and the romantically gliding with his lover to pass the time seemed romantic, given the circumstances.

Too bad he didn't consider that it was absolutely impossible for the two clumsy buffoons. But at least they were having fun, right? Could one ballroom dance with three people? Maybe they should ask Lester to join once they stopped stomping each other's toes!

"Rin! Those heels are a weapon on their own. I might have lost a toe!" the jello man teased, giving Rin a clunky turn meant to be elegant. "Lester or someone might need to give us a serious crash course, before one of us ends up in a wheelchair!" he laughed, somehow feeling no embarrassment at how many times he'd fallen already.

Seeking a source of quiet whistling, someone would certainly find Zeshin sitting on some random - at least clean - table. Redhead was looking around the ship that was supposed to be their transport, appreciating its quality... not really, he just had nothing better to do. Sometimes his gaze went to his guildmates, which he still didn't know too much about. After all, he was a newbie. Mage probably should get to know them first or something, but what is done is done. Zeshin wasn't even sure if he could be there. So far, no one kicked him out. That was a plus. Still, he felt a little awkward in this situation. Just a little.

As far as he knew, they were supposed to visit some guild and get to know each other better. Being new in this guild-type of thing, he didn't though much about it. It could be typical kind of thing for all he knew, or maybe it was some ocassion. There were two reasons why he went with the guild. Redhead wanted to get to know his own guild and well... he heard there was supposed to be a party. Zeshin didn't say no to parties.

But it probably won't be mine kind of party. Redhead looked at his own clothes and with a grimace, corrected his tie. Zeshin never wore clothes like this. He literally ran to some store when he heard about this requirement, and bought whatever suited him. Zesh even had to ask store clerk to help him look good. He sighed, feeling the jacket limit his movements. At least, it looked kinda cool in his mind. The blood-red shirt was covered by a black, striped jacket and an equally dark tie. It was tucked in his pants that were the same style as the jacket and were supported by a black belt. Aside from that, he had to buy some strange, blinding shoes. At least they were black too. Everything was supposed to be good quality, bo who knows. Mage left a pair of buttons of his shirt and jacket unpinned so that he could feel a little more comfortable. Maybe they will let him live for this crime.

He was not the only uncomfortable person in this type of outfit. From what he had seen, his guild ace also didn't like them. It only proves his point, that these clothes are stupid... if only they didn't make person look smarter and more important. Not having anything better to do, he looked at his guild aces dancing. Dance masters they were not, far from it, but at least it sounded like they had most important thing in the world - fun.

"You know, it would certainly be grand entrance with you both in wheelchairs. I wonder what Lamia Scale would react like." He said with a chuckle, probably announcing his presence to the guild. Zesh was positive not many people noticed him sitting there. Well, at least he tried to be ninja-like, so he hoped it worked.

    I'll be here...
    Elvira Arcade
Elvira slipped on her seductive, low cut, dress --the one she often used for entertaining guests when she still worked in Hosenka. She smiled as she carefully wrapped the silken garment around herself before walking to the mirror and appraising her reflection.

The wizard carefully sorted through her rather extensive makeup collected and plucked out a rich foundation that would help conceal the bruises around her face and the freshly scabbed claw marks under her eye. "Honestly, I don't know how I let Vincent talk me into these things" She thought as she dabbed her makeup sponge over the wound carefully. "Hunting werewolves the night before my first social function in almost a year...what a mess." She sighed and continued masterfully applying makeup to mask her battle damage before playfully fluffing her short hair and turning her head side to side to double check she'd covered everything.

Satisfied, she stretched and bounced on the balls of her feet for a moment. Her feet were carefully wrapped in dark cloth rather than sandals or heels; it was the one sign that betrayed the fact that she was well aware of the land into which they'd be traveling. Fighting in six-inch heels was no problem; running though, that was another matter. Her lack of footwear did nothing to help disguise her already short stature, but it was a sacrifice she was willing to make --her time in the guild had made her cautious; she didn't really want any more scars.

She smiled and picked up her backpack; not the large rough and patched utilitarian one she brought on long jobs, but rather a small adorable teddy bear backpack she'd bought for the occasion. Since her bubbly roommate had already left to practice dancing with Theo, she locked up and practically skipped down the street towards where the group would assemble. She was truly excited, both at the prospect of a formal social occasion and the idea of seeing Theo try to dance.

Post by Rosabell 29th August 2018, 5:58 pm

Gleaming crimson hair with curled tips was splayed out upon a table near the back of the transport ship, the figure underneath the mess of hair not currently visible, their body rising and falling gently as if unaware to their surroundings. If one were to inspect closer they'd find that the figure was asleep, drooling, and mumbling something about food. This was of course Rosabell. She had arrived a bit earlier than anticipated as her excitement exceeded her mental thought process. Of course that little bit of time was actually two hours early, and as a result she got bored and simply conked out at the nearest table.

She had remained fast asleep throughout the arrival of the others who were bound to come eventually until a yelp from Theo(No doubt from having one of his toes stepped on) awoke her from her slumber. The scare immediately made her jump up, quickly disguising it as stretching while soliciting an obviously fake yawn, her state of dress present to be seen now.

Her attire was very much unlike what she usually wore, the favored casual look of a colorful tee-shirt and jeans now replaced by a fancy black dress with a faded zigzag-like pattern on it, accompanied by a cropped grey cardigan made of a silk like material with frilly edges. And of course what kind of fancily dressed woman would she be without black high heels? In terms of makeup she didn't have much on save for red lipstick and light purple eye shadow, and for her being in a hurry it was surprisingly well applied. Of course she still had her vibrant slittled golden eyes, and her mile wide fanged smile, but other than that she might as well have been a completely different person appearance wise.

Once she manged to regain her bearings she actually focused on the sight in front of her, and almost broke out into laughter upon seeing it. Two members of the famed Sugar Squad Theo and Rin attempting to have a session of classic ballroom dancing. Notice the word attempting. The poor buffoons were nearly tripping over each other, constantly stepping on each others toes and bumping into each-other. Of course the mile wide smiles on their faces removed any doubts that they weren't having fun, and if she was being honest, despite how awkward their dancing looked, their shared inability to preform was actually quite cute and romantic.

Then as if out of nowhere a man spoke up making a cute little add-on to Theo's comment about weaponized heels, greatly surprising her with his sudden appearance. She hadn't even noticed him, almost like he was..a ninja! Not only a ninja, but a ninja with the same awesome hair color that she had! This feat of awesomeness was just begging to be spoken to, and she had always wanted to make conversation with a ninja!

"With the way things are going, a wheelchair might be the best case scenario! Although..it would be pretty awesome to see a giant mass of tangled up aces hobbling into a dining room!" She would say as she elegantly slid over to sit next to the ninja, a mischievous smile on her face. What better way was there to start up a conversation, than to make an add-on comment, to an add-on comment, about weaponized heels of all things? Although she would be the first to admit, those dastardly things were pretty dangerous when used the right way.

    "I
'm so sorry! I never really knew that I had two left feet!" The pink haired girl managed to say between fits of giggles. She had never really danced like this before with someone. In fact, she never really danced at all. Ever. And now she was thankful she hadn't! Coincidentally, this was the first time she had ever worn heels as well, which definitely didn't help with the whole clumsy situation. "I hope we don't have to dance at that dinner party! Everyone might end up in wheelchairs if I'm dancing!" Fancy events like this were pretty foreign to her. She had attended a fancy ball in the beginning of her days with Crystal Swan. A boy had been mourning the death of his mother, and needed some advice. It was an experience she wouldn't soon forget. In fact, she needed to contact that boy and see how he was doing now!

But for now, she was here, with her amazing boyfriend and her amazing guild mates. All of them were dressed beautifully, and she had tried her very best to meet their expectations. Her hair was partially tied up, some stands still falling freely down her back. At the very top of her ponytail sat a large, blue and white bow, which just so happened to match her dress perfectly. The dress was tight fitting, accentuating the minimal amount of curves that she had. Just past her knees, though, the dress flared outwards, cascading into a sea of fabric. It was a truly beautiful piece of clothing. Nothing but the best for such an occasion!

Just as she had been about to plant a kiss on her lover's lips, she noticed that a couple of her fellow guild mates had arrived! Moving away, she smiled at them sweetly before giving each of them a small bow. "I'm truly sorry that you had to witness that horrible dancing! But I do agree, it would be entertaining to see!" She teased, trying to return their playful remarks. "I don't think that I've had the pleasure of meeting you two! I'm Rin, and the goof with no sense of rhythm is Theo." Turning to look at him, she gave him a wink. His reactions always made teasing him way too much fun! "You two look very lovely! I'm sure that everyone in Lamia Scale will adore you~" She had never met anyone in Lamia Scale, but she had heard that they were very kind people, especially their guildmaster, who she was extremely excited to meet!

A Feast to Remember [Open to LS/CS only!] Empty Re: A Feast to Remember [Open to LS/CS only!]

Post by Samira Nassar 30th August 2018, 4:24 am

A formal dinner party. In a land filled with nothing but forests, monsters of all sizes, and a primitive native people that were still wary of the guild that was now sharing the land with them. What party planner planned out that brilliant location? Most likely the bunny guild master that probably had more fun and cute things on her mind than any caution or theories on how something could go horribly wrong. Or maybe this certain Lamia Scale Ace was just paranoid. Quite likely both. Either way, Samira had a frown on her face ever since she first heard about the event. Things going wrong was only part of the reason, however. The other was that such social events was not something she was particularly interested or comfortable in taking part of. She'd much rather be locked away somewhere researching something, or out in the field doing some form of hunt or similar for the guild. Not be forced to sit down and... socialize. The horror.

To make it worse it would be with members of a guild she had only heard of. Never had she met a single person from Crystal Swan. There was an alliance between her guild and the other, but that was as far as she knew when it came to details other than those that were in charge of it. It was worrisome really. There were a few spirits of hers that would confuse those of Crystal Swan as party favors and appetizers. For that reason, as well as the fact the rest would only serve to embarrass her in some way, all of them had been told to stay put in their own realm once things got started. It was for the safety of everyone and the alliance! Mostly the safety of herself though. Getting hit by a giant carrot wielded by her guild mistress was not something that she ever looked forward to. It was best to not let things be ruined. At all. Much to the disappointment of many mischievous spirits that were already planning to invade the party.

"What about this one?" One of Samira's spirits inquired while holding up one dress selection of many. Honestly the summoner owned no such thing so she had to borrow one. Never did she think her entire room would soon be covered in racks of dresses that she turned down one after another.

Samira, who was sitting at a vanity set in front of a mirror while another spirit worked on her hair, gave a quick glance over at the dress. One more dress to turn down for the fact she simply did not want to have to wear one at all. She was beginning to run out of excuses though that sounded reasonable. "It is too... sparkly."

    "But that's the best part!"
"I am confused. Isn't wearing this sort of attire supposed to make one stand out in some way? Would these sparkles not provide the desired effect?"
"Stop complaining and just toss it with the others." The rejected dress was tossed onto the rejection rack and another was pulled out. "This one then?"
"The color clashes with my hair."
"So dye it then! It's not our fault you have green hair!"

The dress selection went on a while longer, each female spirit getting more and more frustrated before they realized Samira had stopped even looking at them and was just making stuff up at the top of her head. At that point they just suggested she wear her formal "birthday suit" instead. Oh, goodness no! She stood up and pulled a random dress off the rack before the outfit selecting spirits, as well as the rest of the dresses, disappeared in many poofs of swirling colored magic particles. Curious on what was picked out, Samira lifted the dress to eye level and turned it. Somehow her frown got even worse. "I am not wearing this." To the bed the dress was tossed. "Where is the pink maid outfit Gisen gave me earlier? I will wear that instead."

"WHAT?! You can't go out there in a maid outfit!" The hair stylist spirit was absolutely mortified that such a thing had been said. It was a formal attire party, not a costume one! Had the summoner lost whatever brain functions she had left?! It was too late. Samira had already found where the outfit had been tossed and started putting it on. And she was worried about the spirits embarrassing her... they should have been worried about her embarrassing them!

Assuming Gisen did not see and make her go change, Samira would be wearing that outfit while making her rounds throughout the guild hall. First by checking all was well on the outside perimeter and then making sure the preparations inside were good to go. "Where is Hebisha?" Naturally the blind lamia was on the checklist to ensure she was where she was supposed to be, and yet still the guild had managed to lose track of their lamia. Oh no, wait. Samira spotted the scaly tail over near the tables where seats should have been. Those were very hard to miss for someone that knew her. "The lamia of Lamia Scale located." That was checked off before she moved onto checking other things in the room. Not one word was said to make Hebisha move. It wasn't on the all important checklist of super duper importance. Hebisha was doomed to become a living bench for those silly enough to take a seat on her tail.

    Beaux Phacelia
Majestic may have been the right word to describe Beaux’s appearance. Perhaps angelic would work as well. The mage’s hair was arranged neatly, silver locks falling almost over his left eye. A crisp white button-up, only partially buttoned, was worn underneath a translucent jacked that faded from pale to rich magenta. Sewn into the back of his shirt were two slits meant to host a wingspan of 15 feet, should he decide to display it. Woven gold thread adornments and dark gloves accented the outfit. The angel looked truly elegant, and he sparkled too! Beaux, on his travels from Napedia, had come into possession of a magical spritz that, when used, caused the air around the angel to shimmer gloriously.

While some others looked uncomfortable and out of place in such fancy clothing, Beaux was thriving. He always went all-out when it came to dressing nice. Elegant attire and high-class gatherings were what the angel lived for. His homeland of Napedia was known for hosting some top tier events, and even though Beaux did not come from one of the highest families there, he was well-versed in the ways of fancy parties.

It was truly a struggle not to burst out laughing at the sight of Theo and Rin’s attempt at dance. They looked like a pair of drunk penguins, moving at a clumsy rate and stepping on each others’ feet. Beaux could only handle watching so much, deciding that someday he ought to teach the two how to do at least a basic waltz. With a shake of his head in amusement, the tall man approached the two with a dazzling smile. “Rin, Theo! You two look stunning, as always,” Beaux began, thick accent making his words like clover honey, while a quick wink was sent at Theo. “That suit… well, it suits you,” he continued with a gentle laugh, looking at the jello mage with lidded eyes, “and Rin, dearest, that dress! It’s breathtaking!”

“Actually, you all look fantastic, I’m sure Lamia Scale will be impressed at how well Crystal Swan cleans up!” the angel projected, addressing his guildmates as a warm feeling of pride welling up inside. I can’t wait to meet new people! Beaux thought to himself, the anticipation making his heart race.

    Appearance:

Sayuri watched the craziness with mild amusement. Her guildmates, and even aces, could be a bit silly sometimes. Then again, she liked that about them. Besides, it made her feel a little less ridiculous when she made her own gaffes and mistakes.

True to form, she was sitting off in a corner again. She usually was. Of course, part of it was that she didn't want to walk around in her heels right now. The ivory shoes were comfortable as far as high heels, but she knew that once they arrived at their destination there would be plenty of walking, and her feet would get tired eventually. It was best to give herself a rest for the moment now.

Her dress was a bit, well dramatic. The ivory floor-length gown had a corset front, off-shoulder sleeves, and was covered in bits and bobs of lace, with the odd slender gold chain or two thrown in for good measure. The fact that she'd left her hair down, other than a few strategic ties to keep the front few pieces out of her face, only added to the effect.

Her attention was drawn back to the guild aces at Rin's comment, and she couldn't help but laugh.

"Oh, Theo is the only on with no rhythm now?" She asked, eyes sparkling mischievously. "Takes two to tango, and it takes two to mess up like that too."

Then she relented and added, "But that's alright, there are much more important things in life. Life, I don't know, not dying in a fight. You seem to manage that, so I'd say you're doing pretty well for yourselves."

She smiled. Not that the guild aces needed any reassurances from her, obviously. She was hardly someone important around here. But it wasn't in her nature to make a snarky comment like that without tempering it with a compliment. Not unless she was sniping at an enemy or herself, that was.

Vincent happily scanned over his notebook sketches of werewolves that he had managed to draw the night before. His back had sustained deep injuries that he suspected might keep him from this social events, but they seemed to be healing nicely enough for him to participate in this meeting of guilds. Now what do people wear to such things? Unsurprisingly, the young scholar had limited experience with grand social gatherings such as the one organized between Crystal Swan and Lamia Scale and thus he had no idea what the proper attire was. With a shrug, he decided it was a good a time as any to dust off his striped blue yukata which had been given to him as a gift to him. Instead of his typical footwear, particularly high cut leather boots, the wizard opted for the wooden toothed sandals that complimented what would be considered Midian clothing. This should do, I hope. The typically reclusive mage felt a slight obligation towards his teammate on account of dragging her with him on some important field research the day before an event that she had been looking forward to. In his mind, showing up was a part of paying her back for her invaluable company.

Surprisingly, at least to the studious mage, he showed up at the point of departure before his partner. I suppose it would take longer for her to get ready than for me. Still - I won't know if what I'm wearing is sufficient until I ask her. Hopefully it's not too late by then... Vincent thought on this topic with his chin on his hand while sitting across from a fiery haired woman. He didn't know her name, though they were most likely guild mates if they were waiting in the same area for the same social function. She didn't wear anything particularly regal like Rin or Sayuri, but still managed to attain the necessary level of formality - at least in his opinion. There was another at their table - a man dressed in a black suit and tie with a red shirt underneath which Vincent considered to be quite fancy. "If our dinner is without entertainment then I am sure that you an Theo could put on quite the show." he said directed at Rin when she approached. "And the sentiment is shared. I don't think I have had the pleasure of being introduced to you two; I am Vincent."

It was odd in a way, the two guilds had this alliance yet they had never met. Neither Theo nor Rin had come across any of the upper Lamia Scale'ers before, he had only met Aiyana and that wasn't planned. Hence the letters he and Gisen had exchanged setting up this little dinner party, a chance to meet and get to know who he would be working with over the coming moons. Ten other people was it? Or about that, would Lamia Scale be okay with half of Crystal Swan flooding into their land and devouring all their food. Soft scents of orange rose from his hands as the moisturizer was rubbed in, he hadn't managed to be rid of the slight scars gained from childhood days spent carving wood. They would be arriving soon, had Theo spilt his juice on the white pocket square? Perhaps someone was asleep and needed to be suddenly woke up. He pushed away, shoes making little sound as he moved away from the windows towards where moth of the guild was gathered, oh dear. They were dancing- it would have been okay if any other members were dancing but Theo had the hand eye coordination of a beaver in a vat of acid and Rin would have been voted most likely to fall on flat ground then roll off a cliff and into a laberynth in a school choice awards.

He could push them both into the feast in wheel chairs, pretty little ones made of wood and flowers,  everyone seemed to be having cheerful banter from seeing the oddity that was the duo dancing. He had decided to simply sit back and watch, holding onto his offer of growing a wheelchair for two in case he actually needed to do so. yet as Rin broke off the dancing to speak with some of the other guild members he pulled his gloves tighter, clad in black the only material in an other shade was a stark white tie, for even the boutonniere threaded through the buttonhole of his lapel was of a deep coal shade, no bright rose or lily today.

A short braid started from the sides of his ears, just spanning down his neck each little strand of hair was plaited in place before the rest of it spilled down his back in a blizzard of keratin. "We'll be arriving soon but for now Theo you need to be a little more dominant with your dancing. Unless you want Rin to take the lead?" The smile bloomed across his face as his hand settled on Theos alluring waist, resisting the temptation to pat the plump behind of his 'brother' Lester made a move to bring Theo back into the rhythm, softly muttering the step counts. By all means he was not as good as those who danced in court, but being better than Theo wasn't hard. He had spent winter nights like this, Grandmother reading him fairy-tails then they would light the candles in the shop and she would teach him to dance. Most nights would end in the two of the laughing at their missteps or moves that didn't quite follow that style.

Today was the day! Aiyana, who was known for her lack of coverage with clothing, was wearing the real deal for once! Heeled shoes of a black color, with no socks, and black leggings would cover most of her legs, though were enough for people to still get a good look at them if they wished to. Her dress consisted of light blue, dark blue, and black, and a pair of shorts under them would keep anyone from getting a panty shot if they tried to go underneath her for some reason. All of this, unsurprisingly, was a magical illusion over her to give the naked celestial spirit to seem like she was actually wearing it. People would feel the fabric if they reached out to touch it, though Aiyana herself would only feel the touch upon herself. Nevertheless, she was wearing something that was more covering than her everyday clothing on at any other time. The only things real on her were the choker she wore, with a blue amethyst hanging from it, as well as a pain near the end of her now braided black hair. To match with her clothing and tails, the nine-tailed fox had also dyed the tips of her ear fur and some of her hair to a mix of grey and white. With all of this, she was ready to meet and greet with Crystal Swan as well as eat dinner at the table with them. This was going to be so much fun!

The female would await the guests in the mess hall that had been created for this event, it was her hopes to get a seat with a young man she had met prior to this, though she doubted it would be possible with how the seating was supposed to go down. Even with what had happened between them she doubted that they would hold any kind of awkwardness here because of it. She knew he was in Crystal Swan, and that his name was Lester, but she only knew he was a member and not the guild master as he had become it after she had last seen him.

"Oof," Theo lamented, covering his feigned wounded heart at Rin's teasing comments. "She says she loves me, then cuts me to the core. Abuse..." he huffed dramatically. It was hard to keep the smile off his face as guild members both known and unknown joined in on the banter. Theo was never one to be able to mask his expressions, so it was easy to see both the joy and the general discomfort in his wardrobe choice. We waved when he was introduced, the calmest introduction he'd ever been a part of since joining the guild and certainly an anomaly not to be repeated any time soon. "I will only accept wheelchair entrances if they are jet powered. Anything else would be too lame," he told the two red-heads with a grin.

Anything else he had to say to his lover or the two nicely dressed gingers fell mute. His vocals died due to shock, flattery, and a fit of blushing. A certain sparkling male had approached, dressed impeccably with the attitude to match. He was quite the sight, and even Theo's arctic hues widened a bit. "Thanks, B-Beaux! You don't look so bad yourself," he tried to counter, flustered by the compliment. "I m-mean...you know that, of course. Y-You always look amazing..." the ace tried to recover, anticipating the mind-boggling male to quip that he was aware that he was a gorgeous creature. But wait, now that sounded weird, but someone as stunning as Beaux thought this monkey suit looked good on him and he didn't know what to do! While he didn't agree, it was hard to get around the fact that if anyone knew what looked good, it was the angel with that fabulous boo--

"Sayuri!" Theo nearly shrieked out, grateful for an interruption and distraction. "She has it right. It's not all my fault. It takes two to tango~" chirped the jello man, though that counter tease was cut a little short by yet another arrival.  "Vincent! Buddy, how ya been?" as it was hard to keep up with all the people coming around and speaking. Just exclaiming their name at their arrival was awkward, but he couldn't stop. It was possible the jello man had never looked so uncomfortable since he made it to Fiore!

Even an extrovert like Theo was starting to get overwhelmed and feel a certain kind of social anxiety (it was the suit) when he was saved by his other team mate. With the third white haired boy's joining of the fun, all three of the Crystal Swan snowheads were present and accounted for as well as the entirety of the Sugar Squad. Oh, but he brought jokes. "Not you too, Lester!" lamented the young man, ruffled but in a playful way. "I'm plenty dominant, aren't I, Rin?" he asked, though it was also possible he was alluding to other things, who could claim to understand the working of Theo Silversong's mind?

The hand around his waist whisked him away in another much more productive dance lesson, which despite the oddity of two males waltzing together in full suits seemed to bring Theo deep relief and comfort. The rhythmic counting calmed his chaotic timing indeed, and soon somehow they were both in an amateurish yet mostly graceful display except for a few chuckle-worthy slip ups. Grinning at Lester, he squeezed the sugar slayer's gloved hand in silent thanks. "Who knew you'd look so sexy in all black? I approve, Lester," commented the older of the two, offering a playful wink.

Post by Zeshin 1st September 2018, 11:35 pm

The previously fairly empty room quickly began to fill. At least, it looked this way for Zeshin. Hearing movement next to him, boy looked at the redheaded girl who suddenly sat down at the same table. She looked nice. He dress wasn't overly complicated or anything. Quite simple, and that was what he liked. From what he knew, she sat down next to him because of his comment about wheelchairs. Ahh ... the feeling of not being such a loner... something great. Zesh chuckled hearing her add-on comment to his add-on comment. "I'm pretty sure Lamia would think that we were attacked if this did happen. Aside from that, you look good." Redheaded boy added next add-on comment - though last words were directed to girl next to him, not everyone. After all, she deserved it. Hearing that guildmates didn't know who he was, he stood up and bowed slightly. "I'm Zeshin, a newbie! Nice to meet you!" He said with a cheerful grin to everyone, but mainly Rin and Vincent, and returned to his seat. After all, they were the ones to ask. He got to know more people. Sweet!

Looking at guy named Beaux, Zesh mentally raised an eyebrow at his outfit. It was... unique. Kinda cool, but not really his type. Too much glistening pink. Still, the guy was stunning. It looked like this kind of parties were his thing. Zeshin loved teasing people, that's why he had to laugh, seeing his guild ace reaction to Beaux compliment. Just how flustered one person can get. "Or we will be too overwhelming for them to be impressed." Redhead chuckled saying this, honestly expecting something like that. Maybe they will be impressed as the white-haired guy said, but it was Crystal Swan. Full of weirdos from what he has seen - not that it was bad. Zeshin liked what was happening right now. Unless Lamia was crazier than this, impressing them maybe be hard.

Even more people started announcing their presence, and it was kinda overwhelming for a redhead. A girl named Sayuri kinda defended Theo by teasing Rin, but also said some serious things after that. He was sure aces knew it was just teasing, but well... maybe she's just that kind of girl who is too kind to others. Zeshin was like that a few years back and knew how hard it was. "You know, I expect that everyone will have to dance at one point. I have a feeling most of us will put a good show... but maybe we won't be as good entertainment as our aces." He said with a light grin when he heard Vincent's comment. Zesh just spoke his mind, though no one asked him. Right now, he wasn't even sure when to talk, and when to sit like silently. After that, their guildmaster showed up. He looked really, really good. That dark suit was breathtaking. It was the first time he actually saw his master and was satisfied for now. Though he expected some old man, Lester didn't seem like an asshole. That was enough for Zesh. Redhead also noticed that jokes about Theo were something common amongst the guildmates... and he wasn't really shocked. Poor guy.
