In Memory of Raiza

Hello FTRP community,

A tragic and unfortunate event has occurred and Alex Benson, known as Raiza on site, has passed away. Alex has always been a friend to me and many on the site. Her work as a staff member was exemplary and she always gave her best in trying to improve herself. She helped give excellent advice that I've consistently used and implemented. Looking back into our conversations on Skype I have noticed the trust she placed in me and for that I am very grateful for having known her. Most of you know that I'm not the kind of person that trusts easily, so putting someone on my staff team is always a big decision for me. I am proud to say that Alex was a solid member of the team that I could trust to tackle on the issues presented on site. I will forever remember her as a respectful, passionate, and hard working human being and I hope that she rests in peace.

If anyone needs to talk, my private messages on site, Skype, and on discord are available at your disposal. If you wish to talk but not to me, please reach out to any staff member available.

Additionally, please be respectful as much as possible in regards to this subject. I hope that my memory of her will inspire others to share their positive interactions with Alex so we can all remember her as an impactful member of the site.

I didn't know Raiza that well, but my heart goes out to all of those affected by her Loss. It's hard to lose a friend and I wish there was more that I could do but offer my Condolences. I'm sorry for your loss.

I wasn't particularly close to Raiza, but I worked with her on multiple occasions on the staff and as a fellow guild member of Savage Skull. In both cases I could easily see that Raiza was dedicated and always wanted what was best for the site and the guild, even when I sometimes didn't listen. For that Raiza has my utmost respect.

My heart goes out to her friends and family, as well as her friends and family on the site. Raiza you will be missed.

Over the short time that I knew Raiza, she became quite a close friend I could depend on and could go to whenever there was the need, and I was there to talk to her as well. I grew fond of her almost like a sister, a sister I wish I had. She will be deeply missed by me and those around me. Still on shock.

I was Raiza's first and only close friend on the site for a very long time, and she was grateful to me for being there for her. It hurts a bit finding out that someone that was so close to you still had demons they didn't tell you about. In a way, I feel it's my fault with what happened to her; that I wasn't there enough for her when she was there for me when I was down. She was a beautiful person inside and out, and I couldn't have asked for a better friend on here when I feel like the outcast. Life is going to be different without her there greeting me everyday that she could and enjoying what little she had left. I just wish I could've been there more for her, saved her from the demons she had still, and maybe, just maybe, she would still be here today.

It's hard for me to express how much she meant to me and how much I loved her, but for now, this will have to do.

May she rest in peace and live a better life than she had here.

Raiza...

When I first spoke to you, you asked me to tell you anything if I had any questions for you and such. When you said you seen me as a friend, I was very happy. I felt comfortable around you and I felt I could tell you many things that I didn't think I should tell others.

~~Hell, you even gave me your Infernape for me to use on the elite 4 in Pokemon. I was a very grateful Pokemon trainer that day.~~

Through the happiness and through the stress. I was glad to know you for who you were. Our jokes, our licking and our laughter could go on for days, even if I didn't know you as much as the others probably did, I was still very glad to get to know someone like you.

I wish I could've done more to help you, and I wish I could just be there for you, talking to you like normal, I want us to have our jokes again and I want us to just muck about like all them other times.

You know... when I found out... I cried heavily... I cried so badly that I couldn't even function properly, my mother had to come upstairs and had to help me. I couldn't believe you passed away and I can't believe I have lost a great friend.

I am gonna miss you so much Raiza. Take care in the after life, I feel you will need it. I will always feel your happiness with me and I will try my best, that won't stop.

Please, rest in peace. May you forever be missed on FTRP by everyone who knew you as a friend, whether close or not. I also want you to PARTY IN THE AFTERLIFE <3333333333... Urm... sorry..

I never really got to know Raiza all that much but I am always looking around on whats going on on site and I would see her pretty active with staff stuff and posting so I knew she was a good member for everyone to be around. My other experiences of her were from our mutual friends and nothing really bad was said about her so I was planning to try and do something with her at some point but never really got the chance besides a job I jumped into for Marcy and her to do a quick single post for them so they got their WC for it.

I hope that she is at peace where she is and that she is having the time of her life there. She deserves that.

I wanted to come in and offer my condolences to all of you, her friends outside the site, and her family. I didn't know Raiza well. In fact, I have never once gotten a chance to speak with her. However, based on some of the posts in this thread she must have been a wonderful person and has become a real tragic loss for the world. I hope she has found some form of peace for herself and I also hope those of you who are mourning also find peace within yourselves. I am sorry for your loss.

I am still fairly new and barely know her but Raiza was very kind to me when we had talked on Discord. With the help she gave me on my magic that was approved an having fun using it already. I will treasure it in her memory of a wonderful person that went out of their to help me out when they didn't have to.

Rest in peace Raiza, you will be remember by all that you meet and all the wonderful things you have for the site as well. You will missed by those you touched and your memories will be cherished by those who you did touched.

Yuki Chimei/Luna Jaeger/Benezia Anicetus isn't able to get on, so asked me to post this up for them:

Alex was more than a friend for me, she was my sister though we were bonded by roleplay, mutual hardships, and love for each other rather than by blood. I knew her for eight years, longer than any save for a few who were on a forum called Naruto Roleplay Center. We were always friends from the very get go, we were like two peas in a pod for a very long time until we recognized that we were in fact two parts of a better whole - like one soul who was split into two bodies,. We did everything together, Xbox One, Warhammer Minis, Pokemon, Fire Emblem Heroes, and many, many other things. Alex was actually the reason I joined Fairy Tail, it was because I wanted to roleplay with her and through her I was able to meet many new friends who came into my life and lit my life up. Without her, I wouldn't love this place with a passion and I wouldn't care for all of you. So in the end, I would just like to thank Alex for being there for me and for introducing me to this community.

I'd see Raiza in the chat box every so often, I can say we didn't have the kind of bond others on the site had, we'd spoken on only several occasions but from those I only have nice things to mention of her.

Loosing someone in ANY community whether you are close or not, everyone's here for the same reason; To create stories and make new friends. Like many of you here Raiza was an expeditionary writer and creative talent. The world could use many more like them.

It's always a shame to watch someone go. My heart and prayers go out to close friends and family that grieve as well as the FTRP community and those who hadn't had the pleasure of meeting Raiza themselves. She will be dearly missed.

I didn't know Raiza well, but i remember her, and spoke with her on a few occassions. She was a value to this site and she will be missed. My prayers go out to those who are wounded from her loss. Yet, we all shall celebrate her life, mourn her passing, and she shall never be forgotten by those who knew her.

I have been in shock since i found out thats why i have yet to post in here.

I ave known alex for many years dating back to the good old NRC( Naruto Roleplay Center). ALex was a good person and one of the best rp partners i have had the honor of threading with. I knew a lot that was going on and alex had helped me through a lot. as a member of the staff team there i worked alongside of alex on multiple things. Hell we even had to team up on a few apps there on NRC. SInce i have been here alex was always alex doing the same thing for people and not really asking for much in return. She was an old friend and still to this day she has touched people in ways that many didnt know till now. Luna me Pikmin Arianna pheonix Himiko etc we all knew her. she had a heart of gold despite the darkness that was in her life.

As my beliefes go we say

Late reply, but better late than never I suppose. I'll keep this short.

I didn't have many opportunities to speak with Raiza and never RPed with her, but the sheer number of people who, even without really knowing her, have said their goodbyes speaks volumes for how many people she touched on the site. Just from looking at the work she's done on-site and the responses here alone, it's clear she was a huge part of the site even if she wasn't always a prominent for some of us.

As a fellow roleplayer and lover of this site, you will be missed.

For those that had a job with Raiza;

If she managed at least a post in a job with you, consider her word count for the job complete. This way you don't have to just cancel these jobs if you do not want to. You may still cancel if you can't fathom completing the job now, but we will not force anyone to replace her in a job or force you to cancel it.

As many I didn't know Raiza that well either but I have worked with her once maybe twice. I never felt close to anyone save few people. Raiza was one of those few I felt I could trust and I am sad to hear she is no longer with us. Am like Seijin not very trusting of others yet for some reason we both trusted Raiza and that should speak many words.

I am not a celestial nor an infernal either yet I resemle aspects of both while being something neither. In truth it would be more accurate to state am something between the two. Nothing is immortal we all fade to non-existance and cease to be in reality all together. Only in our believes as a society as a whole and the history that the world memorizes made everlasting. Yet briefly do all of us play our part in making that history that the world memorizes and shape what society believes. So no matter if demon or angel it matters not your existence just the mark you leave behind in the wake of your passing.
