A New Chapter | Introduction | Open To ST

Gleaming eyes looked upon the guild hall with awe filled to the brim. It amazed her at how majestic this towering guild hall could look; and it excited her as well. She was finally here; she was finally in Sabertooth. The light-blonde haired female, Zoe, had left her previous guild a few days ago – the reason was unknown to her however, it was this constant nagging in her head that was telling her to go; it was almost as though it was another person. Though, regardless of that, she never felt as though she fit in and she needed a new road to tread. And that road started here; in Sabertooth.

With a deep breath, the female walked over to the giant doors of the guild hall and pushed them open so that her frame could enter the vastness of the hall. A gentle feeling encompassed her as she stared at the people that were that were situated within the guild.  A question entered her mind as well; would she fit in here? Would they accept her? Well, it wouldn’t hurt to try. One thing she knew for sure was that standing here wouldn’t get anyone’s attention; especially, the guild master’s. Hence, she came up with a solution. Using her aerial abilities, the female flew into the middle of the guild hall from where she peered at the mass of people below and took a deep breath.

‘Hey everyone! I’m new here!’ With a bright grin lining her visage, the girl almost screamed to the people below in hopes of getting their attention. Whether she did a right thing or not was unbeknown to her as the way things worked in Sabertooth was still a mystery. But hopefully, they would work in her favor.

The roaring commotion of whistles was not at all what this light-blonde haired mage had expected to be welcomed to when she decided to enter Sabertooth. A light shade of red encompassed her face as she sheepishly grinned at the audience; perhaps, they were more welcoming than she had first anticipated. A new feeling of hope arose in her being at the prospect of fitting in quite nicely in this guild. It appeared as though everything was going quiet well.

Up until, a voice of a man reached her ears and her eyes cascaded down below to look at the figure whose voice was laced with animosity, aimed towards her. For a fact, the man appeared to be quite scary looking – or at least, according to this female as she, slightly gulped at his threat.

‘B-But I didn’t do anything.’ These words escaped the blonde mage, Zoe’s lips as she tried to argue with the man. For starters, she had no idea what he was referring to. However, when her gaze swept across the area he was occupying, a glass filled with some form of a drink was what she noticed. Not to mention, she also saw the two men who appeared to be at fault for this and behind them, a petite black-haired girl whom she recognized; Riley, an acquaintance of hers who was a Sabertooth mage. Zoe had almost forgotten about that fact. Judging by the look on Riley’s face, it was more than obvious who the culprit for the man’s anger was. However, this man had for some reason, chosen to subject his anger at Zoe. ‘I have a feeling I irritated a person who’s probably the grumpiest one here. Just my luck.’

As she thought about this, all of a sudden, out of seemingly nowhere, a mouse made its way onto her head. A feeling of something resting on Zoe’s head made her eyes flick upwards, slowly as if in a horror movie before, widening a bit. It was at that moment, she twitched clearly, vary of the mouse. However, this action caused the female to lose her concentration and tumble downwards after a momentary comical pause, suspended in midair as a shriek escaped her lips. BAM! A loud thud echoed through the guild hall as the blonde landed flat on her face muttering, ‘Ouch.’ The mouse though had been taken away and she raised her face in time to hear a new voice thanking her before witnessing a gruesome sight; the man eating the mouse. Yuck.

‘I think I’m going to be barf.’ She muttered, feeling sick before hitting her head back on the floor, wanting to make that small scene disappear from her memory. Well, this was turning out to be quite a weird welcome.

A loud laugh roared through the guildhall as a white haired mage watched the scene unfold before her. She had been trying very hard to stifle her giggles but to no avail, seeing Frederick being so irritated like this cracked her up, including the view of watching Pein devouring a mouse was ... well, completely odd to her. The thing about her is that, she is always seen laughing, even if it was the lamest joke in the world. Everyone was probably staring at her now and she immediately stopped her humorous laugh, covering her mouth with her hand while still chuckling like a 10 year old kid. It was no other than the girl called Hikari Shirokawa who was twirling around on her stool with her knees apart, her hand placed between her thighs on the stool whilst eating a chocolate bar at the same time. Her hair was all messed up as if she had just woken up, the ends of her hair poking in all different directions but it was the way she liked it. Even the way she dressed was messy, with a white tank top and those workout short pants which revealed her bare arms and legs.
”Oii, new member, haaaaiiii! Meet us the crazy people!”
Hika exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air and cheering. She wasn’t sure if she was either drunk or on drugs or just simply, very hyperactive. Like how she usually is.

”Ah, well well, enough silliness.”
Hika waved her hand in front of her nonchalantly, shrugging off her small shoulders as she slid off the stool and walked towards the new girl with her arms crossed. Her brows were furrowed into the middle of her forehead, examining her carefully from head to toe as if she was a threat to them. Finally, she broke into a HUGE grin and spread her arms wide before pulling her into a big hug.
”Hiiii! I’m Hika, what’s your name?” Her smile was as big as those of the Cheshire cats which looked extremely weird to be honest.
”Oh, yeah, Raven-the-birdy is right. Freddy is our grumpiest bear here but I can reassure he’s a nice person. He just looks scary, that’s all,” Hika stuck her tongue out and winked at the new girl. Hopefully, Frederick wouldn’t hear them. Heeha. ”But that aside, welcome to Sabertooth, girl! We shall have tons of fun here~”

The events that followed after the light-blonde had fell to the floor were indeed quite surprising as well as amusing. It had not occurred to Zoe that a friend of hers – one whom she had accompanied on a mission – Melyre was a member of Sabertooth; that had completely slipped her mind. So, when the black-haired girl greeted her, a bright grin lined Zoe’s visage. ‘Mel-chan!’ She exclaimed and was about to proceed to get up from her position on the ground and engage in a hug with the black-haired girl until, the grumpy pants of the guild interrupted. At the motion of him shoving Melyre roughly to the side, the blonde haired girl blinked a few times as he addressed her, insults clearly written all over his words. And now, Zoe had reached the point where his agitation was being transferred to her and the girl, being the way she was, was not going to keep quiet when she hadn’t even done anything to him. ‘Slow down a bit there, mister.’ She addressed him from her position on the ground, ‘I haven’t even done anything to you so I don’t think you have any right to scream at me! Acting all high and mighty like you own the place. You know wha-’

However, before she could continue, a female’s voice echoed through the guild as she made her way down. Zoe’s eyes literally widened in surprise as she heard her refer to the man as ‘Freddy’ which was clearly, a nickname. As she made her way between Fredrick and Zoe and patted the man on the head, the blond couldn’t help but keep the urge to laugh within her as she called him nicknames. Whoever this person was, she was quite influential to make the rude man shut up. She also, pulled Zoe up who now had a grin on her face as she was welcomed to Sabertooth. ‘I’m happy to be here!’

Another presence made itself known to by a loud laugh causing Zoe’s attention to turn to the messy white-haired girl who had excitement written all over her face. The members of Sabertooth were indeed quite special in their own way, to put it simply. The excitement that this girl, Hika, displayed appealed to Zoe quite a lot and the blonde knew when she was pulled into a hug that they would get along quite well. ‘I’m Zoe, nice to meet you all!’ She introduced herself, perhaps for the first time since she entered the guild. ‘And I can see he’s a grumpy bear.’ She said, giggling lightly at the end of her sentence as she witnessed the so-called ‘grumpy bear’ who seemed to be in shock from what the female, Raven had called him that it was very comical looking at his expression. As he would saunter off after clearly his last sentence aiming at Zoe that their little feud wasn’t over by referring to her as blondie, Zoe did the only thing she could; she stuck her tongue out at the man and said, ‘Yah, yah.’

As she stood next to Raven and Hika when Riley made her way to them, Zoe’s eyes narrowed into slits looking at the black-haired girl. But of course, it was nothing more than an act for as soon as Riley spoke, the female’s face turned into a grin as she hugged Riley. ‘It’s going great!’ Remembering the fact that Melyre was present as well, the light-blonde quickly turned after releasing Riley and hugged her as well. ‘Great to see you again, Mel-chan~’

Till now, Zoe could whole-heartedly say that she was enjoying Sabertooth quite a lot.
