Wizards: Kihia, Axilmeus Steel, Aegiel and Linxwire

    Spoiler:

Aegiel sneezed. Paused. Shivered. Paused. Shuffled forward a few inches. Sneezed.

    He hated the cold.

It wasn't long ago that he'd received a notice from Kihia, requesting a reunion after Aegiel's extended absence from the guild. The Fatewalker was getting ready to head back anyway, and saw the invitation as the perfect excuse to do so. What he wasn't aware of was that said reunion took place on a god-forsaken glacier in all it's teeth-chattering, toe-biting, tongue-freezing glory.

And to top it all off, Aegiel's wagon broke down.

Granted, they were less than half a mile from the village gates, but Aegiel calculated that a frozen wizard moving at about three times the speed of a snail would make it there in about.... two weeks.

At least there weren't any frost giants around. Meep wouldn't have let them sneak up on them unannounced. Never mind the fact that they weren't the sneakiest of fellows to begin with.

    It was getting really cold.

"K-K-Kihia? X-Xavier? Cy-Cyrus? S.O-O.S!" Aegiel felt Meep trembling, huddled around his neck for warmth. He shrugged his jacket as high on his body as he could without exposing himself to the chill wind, praying the little snake wouldn't freeze to death before he reached town. Aegiel rattled off a sigh that coalesced around his head in a cloud of vapor, bringing him a small measure of warmth. The mage set his teeth and trudged forward, trusting that his uncanny luck would save him. Preferably in the form of one of his companions' wagons...

    --------

Not ten feet away from the struggling mage, a white rabbit could be observed. Upon close inspection, one might notice that its eyes were an uncanny shade of violet, and they were focused on Aegiel with the intensity of a predator viewing a particularly mouth-watering meal just out of reach. Lucky for our violet-eyed friend, this particular morsel had legs, and it wasn't too long before-

    CRUNCH!

A wagon emblazoned with the Lamia Scale crest rolled steadily toward its destination, headed straight for Aegiel. A very flat and dying rabbit with violet eyes lay twitching in its wake, deep in thought. It could swear that the wagon hadn't been there just moments ago... The bewildered bunny thought for a moment longer, then twitched its last. Its body was soon buried in a blanket of white snow, a burial for the rabbit that never knew it was doomed the moment it set its sights on the fortunate Fatewalker.

Kihia was sitting in the wagon, he looked Cyrus and Xavier, they all had accepted a mission together to head off a group of giants that was slowly heading towards a town. He had also contacted Aegiel, a member of Lamia Scale who had been away on a journey for a while and was heading back. They were going to meet up at the town, he had left the Ikarones back at the Guild hall for this very reason, not many people outside of the Guild Master and Team Serpent Soul knew about that ship. Kihia looked out the back of the cart and saw another wagon that had broken down recently go by. What… where is the driver… or the passenger… He then walked to the front of the cart and looked ahead, “Whats wrong Sir Kihia?” The driver had spoken up and asked him, He didn’t respond instead kept an eye on the road ahead.

Kihia faintly saw a single person with green hair slowly walking the same direction they were headed, Is that…Aegiel…? Kihia then jumped off the cart and as soon as he landed on the snow he took off full speed towards the person. It didn’t take long for Kihia to reach him, due to his enhanced speed in a snowy environment. Kihia then quickly picked up Aegiel and then rushed back to the wagon and placed him next to his seat and grabbed a few coats and threw them on Aegiel. “Aegiel… you should have doubled checked the location… and dressed appropriately….” Kihia sat back down where he was sitting before, “Regardless… it is good to see you again Aegiel… how have you been fairing?” Kihia waited a moment waiting for his response.

After a while Kihia reached into his trench coat and pulled out a sheet of paper that detailed the mission on it, “I trust everyone knows the details of this mission… I want everyone to be safe… and do not take any risks… Esspecially Xavier and Aegiel…”

Xavier found it hard to stay awake, the climate was de-energizing due to the severe cold and the snow, the repetitive rocking motion of the wagon was relaxing, and he was warm under the layers of clothes and blankets that they had ample supply of in the wagon. Just over his ionic blue jacket, he dawned a fur-lined hooded cloak to make sure the heat circulated, and right now he was wrapped with several other things that don’t require much detail. They had been traveling for a short while or so, and he found himself waking, with a blur of vision, not making much of an effort to see and then falling asleep again; and endless cycle. Until of course it was broken by Kihia.

By far superior to his teammates, Xavier subconsciously accepted being under his leadership once more, he knew him to be quite noble. When Kihia leaped from the wagon to go rescue some green haired teenaged looking kid, he sat up at attention hanging on to every word. He listened as the two pals caught up with each other, with slight disinterest, but all ears nonetheless. Then everything seemed to get down to the real business, where Kihia was about to remind everyone at the task at hand and then offered some advice to Xavier that didn’t really sit well in his stomach. X does NOT like being talked down to, and for another thing Kihia already knows how capable he is. It was probably just his ego, but he was certain he could handle himself. For now, he wouldn’t disclose his true feelings but should anymore arrive at his door then he might just have something to offer. His usual calm and sharp look returned to him, his eyes halfway open. “I remember the objectives of the mission, but I can’t say that the thought of these giants rampaging about isn’t something to take lightly. How exactly do we plan to deal with such a nuisance?”
