3rd times a Charm?

Wolfe just shook his head as he watched Yona and further more at her comment. It was true that he was maybe going a little overboard, but he wasn't doing it just for the sake of doing it. Wolfe knew that when he fought he found it a little hard to hold back unless he was training a new member or something like that. It took everything Wolfe had to hold back, because only when he was really focusing on it could he do it well, so everything in the Inn up to this point was just him acting on an average level. He knew he wasn't holding back, but he wasn't going all out either, but either way he was leaving a bit of collateral damage in his wake.

Wolfe walked past her as she let him by so he could go ahead and mess these guys up before they had a chance to attack him and Yona. Wolfe had seen Yona do some kind of spell that had affected the whole group of enemies, but Wolfe didn’t bother to ask. Wolfe decided that as long as they weren’t dying because of her spell, he would consider it a win, and went on the attack. As Wolfe dashed forward at the closest enemy and watched as they went to attack Wolfe with their weapon, but Wolfe was a little surprised when the attack completely missed without him having to really dodge. The man sliced to the right not really even coming close to Wolfe. Wolfe figured it must have been a result of whatever Yona’s spell, but he didn’t have too much time to ponder on it as he was already upon the man and attacking him.

Wolfe reached out his left arm and grabbed the man by his shoulder and tossed him to the left, right at another one of the men. Wolfe didn’t miss a beat as he turned to his left and dashed at the man he had thrown and the man he had thrown the man at. The man Wolfe had thrown flew into the other man, forcing the second man to try and catch him in midair. Just as the man caught him Wolfe pulled his right hand back and thrusted forward to land a hit in the man’s stomach with such force it actually knocked both men backwards. They were sent flying back into the wall with a loud crashing sound as they blasted through it. Now that two of them were out of the picture, that left five, but he wanted Yona to get involved to see what she did, and how she reacted.

The first thing Yona Hisamori did was to hang back against the wall and allow Wolfe to go down. She held her Blade of Thorns in her right hand nonchalantly, watching as the white haired man took out two of the seven waiting gang members. She cleared her throat and considered the situation. It wasn't too positive for her. She needed to try to not use her left hand for this, she didn't want to risk pulling the stitches out. Yona gripped the Blade and stood on the bottom of the stairs and taunted, "Don't stand there looking at him, I'm the one you want!"

If she could get them to try to go up the stairs, she might be able to pick them off one by one. There were still five more, and five on one was horrible odds. However the female didn't correctly assess the power of her own spell as the men moved towards her but scarcely had the aim to actually head directly for the foot of the stairs. She sighed and then kicked off the wall, holding the Blade in front of her. It slammed through the chest of one of the men, instantly killing him. Yona jerked her blade out of his chest, covered in vermillion blood. She turned on her heel and ducked low beneath the swipe of a longsword headed straight for her. It narrowly missed cutting her head off and in turn, the female slashed her blade before her at the male's legs, cutting his thighs open with deep wounds.

She sidestepped quickly, moving almost like a crab to face a third opponent. She found the strikes of this guy's scimitar swift and unrelenting, putting her on the defensive. She turned her body and backed up slowly, holding his weapon in a block. Then Yona lifted her right leg and kicked the man solidly in his stomach. He choked out his breath, but before she could deliver another blow another weapon was in the mix: a hammer. She jumped backwards out of the range, feeling the weapon graze her side. When the hammer came in a second time, Yona had no place to back up into, hitting the wall as she leapt back and finding herself still well within the range of the hammer.

The hammer wielded by a stout woman with hazel eyes, came forward again and Yona lifted her Blade of Thorns to block. Her magical plant blade broke and the hammer came crushing down upon her right arm like a heavy axe, breaking the radius in two and sending shockwaves of pain throughout Yona's right side. Despite her loud cries of pain, the willow haired woman was lucky it had been her arm and not her shoulder, her chest, or skull that fractured and split open through the skin. If she hadn't been so rash and reckless, had been aware of her surroundings, it probably would have been avoided altogether.

Wolfe was about to engage the rest of the group when Yona called out to them that she was the one that they in fact wanted, and not him. This sparked them up enough to ignore Wolfe and start to head towards Yona. Wolfe phase shifted next to one of the 5 that were left and grabbed him by his shoulder and before he could even re-act Wolfe pulled back his right arm and swung it low and caught the man with a shot to the gut so hard the guy fell to his knees and threw up unto the ground. Wolfe didn’t want to mess this one up too bad; he needed to leave one person around that could pass on his message.

Wolfe turned to see how Yona was doing to witness her pulling her blade of thorns from the chest of one of the guys as their body feel to the floor dead.
Fuck….

She had killed one of them even though he had told her not too. It wasn’t even a needed kill which was the worst part, this guy had been the first one she had engaged and didn’t even have to she her land the blow to know she hadn’t even tried to not kill the man. She could of stayed back but her rash thinking, need to fight, and disrespect for everyone around her was the reason she had called out to them, and she had gone out of her way to engage them before Wolfe had the chance to thin their numbers a bit more. Wolfe was not happy, but at this moment there wasn’t much he could do about it, so he went back to what he was doing and kneeled down beside the man he had just hit and whispered a message into his ear to tell his boss.

Wolfe stood up in time to turn and see her handy work with the man she had cut his leg and turned to witness as she got pinned to the wall just as the hammer came down upon her and he could tell she had gotten fairly hurt.
Again… Fuck…
Everything about this was turning into a clusterfuck…

Wolfe phase shifted right between the last two people, who were both engaged with Yona and before they could try for another swing Wolfe reached out with both hands, one landing on one of each of their shoulders, and grabbed a hold of them. He then stepped back as he jerked them backwards and as he did, he began to spin and after one full rotation he hurled each one at a wall across the room. Each one hit the wall with a loud crashing sound and went right through the walls into the next rooms.

With each of the gang members taken care of and the message in place Wolfe rushed over to Yona’s side as he scooped her up in his arm despite any of her flailing. He didn’t even say a word as he looked down at her right into her eyes with an intense look of fury and concern. It was obvious that he didn’t want or expect any words or fighting out of her as he walked out of the inn with her in his arms.

The moment they were outside, Wolfe began to phase step over and over across the city till they were clear on the other side of the city and standing just outside of a small clinic. Wolfe had been here once before to get some minor healing done for a guild member when they had gotten hurt during a job here. Wolfe walked into the clinic and sat Yona down in a chair as he walked over to one of the nurses and explain he was pretty sure she had a broken arm. He knew they had healing magic so they could fix her bone in maybe an hour or so, rather than having her wait the normal healing time. He was almost tempted to do so as he took a seat next to her as they waited for someone to be able to treat her shortly.

Wolfe didn’t say a word when he sat down, but if her eye’s met his, it was obvious he was pissed.
