GL is the failed attempt of Hiro trying to manipulate time magic through other objects. After his inner demon, Oni, tried to take control of Hiro's body once again, he let slip the soul of one of his previous victims, a sassy business clerk named Roger. During the transaction of magic, Roger's soul accidentally slipped through the time magic and got trapped inside the paper charm's body. He now follows Hiro around as a floating paper companion because he has nothing else to do in his new form. It communicates via transforming itself into various form of paper mâché. It can also increase it's size to that of his former body, a five foot eight tall man. It however likes to remain in a small two foot size paper size that hover's around Hiro's shoulders.
