    Willow Banner
Right or wrong, it's very pleasant to break something from time to time.

Well this was gonna be fun.

Divine Calamity had a small number of members but that would work for their benefit. They would be able to intrude into most backgrounds without being detected, sliding into the masses without concern or suspicion. And given that there was an active war ripping the continent apart and each side was vying for more grunts to come and die for their cause, it was very easy to offer one’s service and be signed up without question. Granted, Willow had opted to align herself with the Ironheart Pact; a notoriously anti-magic nation that prided itself on scientific progression and invention. That all sounded well and good, ‘cept for the whole hatin’ magic thing. Willow had just recently acquired two types of magic and now that she had it, she wanted to use it -- badly. But doing so would put her in direct conflict with that army -- no good there! So when she made her choice, she knew she’d have her work cut out for her.

Committed to her decision, she went all out to create devices and weapons that she could use to ‘trick’ the Pergrandian soldiers into thinking she wasn’t using magic. But they would, in fact, be fake and be simple, empty shells to allow her to use her magic through them. It was a crafty, dangerous choice but the tinkerer did love to make the worst choice when it came to her own safety. Armed with her new weapons, she had decided to add upon the deception by crafting an alias. One Rayna Sutherland; a Pergrandian native who loved weapons and putting down magic users! It wasn’t a far stretch from who she was already but she did go out of her way to adopt a magic wig, changing her natural blue to a bright blonde with pink and blue dye.

Fitting herself in a tight leather, red and black corset, tight similarly colored pants, a red leather jacket and a black pair of driver gloves. Tying her hair back, she adorned a pair of engineer goggles and placed them on top of her head. Finally she put on some makeup -- black lipstick, black eyeliner and red shadowing over her eyes. Her outfit complete, she checked to see who else was planning on partaking in the little conquest of countries. Turns out, the whole guild was planning on joining on both sides, hiding themselves among the ranks. That included her new dommy mommy Thana and another one of the members, Alivya. A cute cat woman, it seemed that Alivya was seeking to join in on Ironheart’s side as well. Now with a new, good-looking buddy, Willow made her way to Minstrel, which was calling for aid against an incoming assault from the Desierto brigands.

Thana looked to be joining on the other side, which meant that there was little doubt this battle would be entertaining. As Willow hopped up on a barrel, she squatted on it and looked at Alivya with an impish grin. “So good lookin’,” she started. “What’s ya story? You’re the first girl with feline ears I’ve met and I gotta say; I’m likin’ what I’m seeing.” She gave the woman a once over, unafraid to check the other woman out. “Name’s Willow. I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced. Or improperly, as I usually like it.”

    Your Heart is Mine

Tarrin, the name hung above her head as she had heard the news of her "brother" taking over a guild as a co-leader. Or something like that. Tarrin, the name that she would have to live with forever, being compared to that oversized loaf of her brother. Tarrin, the "do gooders", the ones who stood for something.

    Whatever.

Alivya was tired of the name. Her lips wrapped around the end of a cigarette as she inhaled, holding the smoke in her lungs for a short moment to catch that short burn of life, before releasing her breath and letting out the smoke in a long stream. God what it felt like to be alive, to do what she wanted. She had been trapped under that name for so long. Finally, she was free. She rebelled against that name for so long, going behind backs, purposely making promises and breaking them, all in all being an absolute menace. Well, right up until the moment that she ran away.

Her lips pulled into a smirk as she grinned to herself. There was nothing holding her back now. Nothing to stop her from getting what she wanted. The power, the desire, the passion, the pleasure. It was all hers for the taking now. Flicking her cigarette with the tips of her fingers she watched the ashes fall to the ground in front of her, the light embers flickering against the concrete before going out. She had recently joined a group, Divine Calamity, that followed much of what she wanted in life. Allowing her to be one of the Taskmasters, one of the people in charge over areas to get things done one way or another. Yet, the area she had been placed over wasn't the size that she wanted. She wanted more. The exact reason she was where she was at that moment. The best way to take land and to destroy an enemy was to know of their defenses. With the war going on there was no better time to learn about the Ironpacts defenses and no better way than to be the defenses.

Joining her was another from the guild, Willow, a girl that seemed to have eccentric tastes. Feeling and sensing movement next to her Alivya took another draw of her cigarette before dropping the rest to the ground and stepping on it, grinding it under her boots. She shrugged her jacket back up her shoulders and out of the corner of her eye looked at the disguised member. Her lips pulled up into a cat like grin as she listened to the other and with a smooth motionran her fingers through her hair and flipped it over her shoulder as she turned to look at the other. Her bottom lip was pulled between her canine before a smug playful look took over her features. "Alivya. Or Liv, or babe. Which ever you fancy the most." Her lips pulled into a more seductive smile as her eyes flickered from a blue to a golden. The cat girl's tail flickered behind her as her ears twitched on top of her head, her senses picking up and paying more attention to the girl that was in front of her. "Story's that I got tired of hiding. How about you, Willow? Anything special? Anything that I should know?" The girl leaned forward and the sleave of her jacket began to fall off her shoulder. The brunette was pretty confident in her ability to seduce, although it was more evident with males due to her magic. Blood, arousal, desire, it was something that she could control with most men at a snap of her fingers. But for women, that was another story, that actually took a bit of effort and skill. Something that she had had to practice before feeling more comfortable at.

I CREATED THE SOUND OF MADNESS
    WROTE THE BOOK ON PAIN
SOMEHOW I'M STILL HERE TO EXPLAIN

--- THAT THE DARKEST HOUR NEVER COMES IN THE NIGHT ---
Today was set to be a glorious day, indeed. The war had officially begun, and with it came an opportunity for Divine Calamity – a guild all her own – to start making their mark upon the world. Not that nearly anyone was aware of their presence there, for the time being. Nearly all of the members that had joined the guild she and the twins Yuri and Yuli had built together were present for the fight, but each were in disguises and they had members playing both sides of the battlefield. Whichever side won or lost today was of no consequence to any of them, all they wanted was to incite the fuels of hatred and retribution between the nations, to plunge the world into glorious chaos.

Thana stood currently on the side of the Luminous Covenant forces, under the guise of her alias Simeon Talzin. Through the use of her magic she had excellently disguised herself as a middle aged man with greasy, slicked back brown hair and a tall, thin frame that looked just this side of a lifetime of malnourishment. He had a thin, angular face with sharp features and a series of scars taking up nearly the entire side of his face. On the side of his face that was free of blemishes, his eye was a green-blue color, while his other eye on the disfigured side of his face was a crimson color with black sclera surrounding it. He was dressed in what one might consider business professional attire, with dark brown slacks, and a gold trimmed brown vest over a crimson long sleeved button up shirt and a white jabot around his collar.

The apparent man lingered with the groups of Desiertan soldiers as they prepared to begin the attack against Minstrel’s border. Thana was presently maintaining the aloof and quiet facade that she had created for herself, a stark contrast to her actual personality, standing there with his hands in his pockets and an almost bored expression on his face as he stared across the field to the distant Minstral forces beyond, where she knew Willow and Alivya were preparing themselves. The slightest of smirks tugged on his lips in anticipation, the expression barely noticed by most around him.

He couldn’t wait for the fun to begin.

Double Trouble, Time to Rumble Empty Re: Double Trouble, Time to Rumble

Post by Iris 1st May 2022, 4:25 pm

War. What a trivial, very human thing. Quibbling over this and that... she wasn't even sure what the fuss was about, honestly. Iris had no particular interest in the whole hoopla, not as an actual war, anyway. She adjusted her clothes back into place on her flawless curves and joined the troops standing just over the border into Minstrel, leaving a couple of handsome Desierto soldiers to recover over a small hill in some scraggly bushes. Her mind was already hopeful for the aspects of war she did appreciate, which were entirely selfish and perhaps a little... unconventional. All of this would serve the space dust well.

One, she was bored. Hidden Blades was gone and all of her friends were scattered or gone and... well, she liked to keep busy. Meet new pretty people to amuse her and all that. Observe the humanoid species of this planet as they muddled through their short, primitive lives, enjoying them and the things they cared about as she pleased.

Two, though to everyone else it seemed completely arbitrary, she moved with Luminous Covenant simply because the eyeballs of Espers, of which Pergrande had a large heaping of, were nasty. And they hated magic! How could they despise something so beautiful and unique? Iris loved nothing more than a beautiful set of peepers brimming with magic potential for her to collect, appreciate, and use. There wasn't a single set of eyeballs in all of Pergrande worth taking a second glance at, so for all she cared, the whole chunk could become as vaporized as Felidae. Trash.

Third, aside from wars just being ripe with eyes to harvest, it was also overflowing with violence. People were going to want to hurt her just for choosing a side opposite of theirs, and the mere thought at her nearly panting with anticipation, as if she hadn't just satisfied an itch no more than three minutes ago. Oh, how she hoped she'd be captured, strung up and tortured, stepped on and so--

    "Oh, my stars!"

Iris's arousal came to a screeching halt when she saw it. Him. The hideous boner-killing greaseball with the... the...that eye. The sins committed by his existence were many and obvious! While a naturally occuring mismatched pair of oculars were cute and an aesthetic oddity, these two didn't seem to go or compliment each other at all! It was like two discordant notes screeching and stabbing the ears! That pointed, sallow, scarred meat mask was so hideous! Iris, in all of her long-legged, well-endowed gorgeousness frowned intensely in horror beneath the perfectly placed locks of white silk flowing in a long braid down past her supple rear. With her pale eyes equipped, her reaction was less vehement and flamboyant than it could have been, yet lurked there all the same in her softer, more gracefully seductive gaze that would not be open to any attraction to him at all. In fact, he was so repulsive, it almost doubled back on her in a torturous way that could possibly tickle her extreme masochism if she got too wrapped up in the pain his visage caused her poor, delicate petal of a soul. She wouldn't let that happen on principle.

"You poor creature," Iris gasped softly, hiding her lips behind a demure hand. "Can nothing be done to fix... all of this?" she asked, vaguely gesturing to his face, but it might as well been all of him. How could the Luminous Covenant expect her to work in these conditions!?

    Willow Banner
Right or wrong, it's very pleasant to break something from time to time.

The luscious minx known as Alivya properly provided her name, as well as two possible nicknames to go by, depending on what Willow fancied the most. The Xocili’s grin only widened at the playful tone in which her fellow guildmate spoke to her, clearly as playful as the tinkerer herself. It made her wonder just how much play the catgirl was actually willing to partake in. Questions for after the war. Her story was that she was tired of being in hiding, whatever that meant -- she didn’t elaborate much further than that. That was fine; a little mystery made things all the sweeter as far as Willow was concerned. And then the questions were turned to her, with Alivya wanting to know if there was anything special or anything in particular she should know.

“Well, babe,” she said, deciding on the nickname right away. Willow dropped out of her squatting position and landed on the barrel beneath her, swinging her legs back and forth. “I’m a girl that just loves chaos. A little betrayal here, some explosions there, screwing the emperor’s daughter and framing it on the butler -- all of it fits my fancy. I’m a sub, I like guns and weapons of all sorts…” Willow pushed off the barrel and as graceful as a doe, did a smooth handspring forward and landed in front of the other woman. “Oh! And I’m from outer space too. Practically fresh off the boat, ya might say. I haven’t even gotten a chance to screw around with no one from Earthland yet.” She stated the last part as blase as anyone possibly could, as if it was the least interesting part of her whole schtick. Grinning, she gently leaned in and plucked the cigarette from Alivya’s fingers, casually bringing it up to her own mouth and taking a deep inhale. She took it one step further, licking her lips at the lingering taste of Alivya’s own mouth and grinned, allowing smoke to roll out between her teeth. “So if ya feel like helpin’ a girl out, maybe you and I should go find somewhere to celebrate our approachin’ victory,” Willow gave Alivya a sultry wink as she handed the cigarette back.

Before she could lay it on thick any further, a trumpet sounded from nearby. Willow’s ears perked up and she glanced in the direction of the sound. “Enemy on the horizon! Prepare yourselves for combat!” came the call from one of the soldiers.

“Well how ‘bout that?” Willow said with a giggle. Reaching to her belt, she pulled out a disc shaped object that fit her palm perfectly. She pressed her thumb against the center and it depressed, revealing itself to be a button of some sort. Lights burst to life on the metal disc and it swiftly began to unfold itself, becoming larger and larger by the second. Within a few beats, it had quadrupled in size and as it finished unfolding itself, Willow gripped the handle. Turning the now minigun around and throwing the strap over her shoulder, she pulled a lever on the weapon, the machinery inside whirring to life with a gurling noise. “In the meantime, how ‘bout a little wager? Whoever manages to kill the most punks out there makes the loser buy the drinks after.” The Xocili gave her comrade another wicked look before she trounced over to the frontline, eagerly awaiting the order to charge into the fray.

Double Trouble, Time to Rumble Empty Re: Double Trouble, Time to Rumble

Post by Alivya Tarrin 13th May 2022, 9:49 am

    Your Heart is Mine

When Alivya gave people the option to choose one of the nicknames she provided, it usually told her a bit about who they were as a person. Were someone to call her by her full name, they were standoffish and bared and usually fun to break. If it was the partial of her name, they were looking to be friends and they were usually the ones who were harder to coerce into doing things. And if the person were to immediately to jump to calling her babe, they were the exact person who she liked to mess with. Usually falling under one of two categories, greasy and easily manipulated; or in for a good time. Either way both benifited her in more ways than one.

Hearing the nickname fall so easily from the other females lips knew that Alivya was in for a good time. It was clear cut, no real signs of grease dripping from the word.

Ever changing eyes flickered over to look at the blonde who had jumped atop the barrel in front of brunette. It was her turn to spill a little about herself. But while Alivya had expected maybe a similar story to herself what she was got was nothing more that out of this world... literally. Aliens. Alivya really shouldn't have been surprised given that she lived in a world where demons stalked the night and gods gave powers. It really was all the same shit in different colours.

By this time the cat girl had drawn out another cigarette and lit it with a snap of her lighter. She had placed it between her lips and it was tilted slightly down as the brunette barly hung onto it with her lips. Her brow cocked upwards at the blonde in front of her plucked it from her lips to take a puff of it herself. Her lips stayed parted before turning up into a wryly smirk. She could make the best of this situation and appease the thirst within her. Alivya let her head tilt backward, rather than turning to fully look at the blonde and red eyes gleamed at her alien guildmate. "You're likely biting off a little bit more than you can chew, love, but I'll indulge none-the-less." She reached for her cigarette back, but rather than grabbing it right away the brunette ran her fingers from the inside of the alien's wrist, where her pulse sat, the touch allowing the brunette to gently channel her magic so that it made the spot tingle momentarily.

Red eyes narrowed as the catgirl plucked the cigarette back from the fingers of the other female. She could see that the other was bound to say something else before a loud noise echoed around them. Alivya cringed, the sound berating her ears. God it was terrible. She should just mute whoever was making the terrible sound. However, the brunette knew that it was the sound for the battle to begin. So much for their little chit chat.

Alivya watched with half opened eyes as the alien seemed to bring out a gun from nothing but a small disk, no larger than the palm of her hands. Her eyes only opening a bit more at the offer of a wager. Not that the brunette would ever pay for anything as she knew many of the bartenders in the area... quite intimately, but that wouldn't stop her from accepting as she had nothing to lose. "Sounds good." Alivya watched from her spot at the other paraded off before moving into action herself.

All around her the smell of blood began to hang, people were fighting without worry of hurting others. She was on the defensive side but Alivya looked around and rolled her eyes, was there really a differense on the battle field? Bodies were bodies. Looking at the blood that began to spill across the ground the cat girl brought it to her, the liquid moving deliberately across the ground before moving up her body like that of a snake. It encased her feet as she walked and moved up her calves to her thighs before expanding up her hips and to her waist. She looked like a horror monster, something that people could only imagine in their dreams. She walked to the middle of an area, there were battles going on all around her and it wasn't until she was in the center of it all that she was noticed, but by then she was covered in blood. Not only hers, but from all the others around her. She could see out of the blood but to others she looked nothing more than a red monstrosity. Seeming to lock eyes with an approaching fighter Alivya smirked and the blood that encased her solidified and shattered away from her body, piercing through the person in front of her as well as the two people who had begun to approach from behind.

The girl made a disgusted face and shivered before her hands moved up to dust away what remained of the dried blood on her skin. Disgusting. Absolutely terrible. Gross. Alivya hated blood. Ironic that she was the one cursed to use it.

SOMEHOW I'M STILL HERE TO EXPLAIN

--- THAT THE DARKEST HOUR NEVER COMES IN THE NIGHT ---
Thana blinked, her attention drawn away from her inner musings at the sound of someone exclaiming something nearby to her. Very nearby. She turned to see an astoundingly attractive woman gaping at her in horror. And while normally Thana would take the time to let her gaze openly roam along the white haired woman’s form without remorse, the Warlord unfortunately had a role to play, and the role of Simeon Talzin did not include leeway for lechery.

The man’s eyes would narrow as the woman lavished him with piteous remarks about his eye, wondering if there was anything that could be done to fix it – though in truth, the space with which she waved her arm indicated far more than just the matter of his eye. A look of annoyance flashed across his face. “Did you just gesture to all of me?” he demanded, his outer appearance a perfect mask to hide the fact that Thana herself was brimming with intense amusement. Who was this delightful vice, she wondered? What a time to not have Darius on her! But alas, the necklace whose crystal housed the all knowing archmage was rather unique, and the last thing she needed was anyone noticing it and suspecting her of being.. Well, herself. As such, she had left Darius behind for this particular mission. Clearly she’d have to ask the man plenty of questions upon her return to Lavanitir Port City, later.

For now, there was a game to play. Simeon scoffed and turned his face away from her. “Not that it is any of your business, but no, there is no ‘fixing’ my eye. And even if I could use magic to return it to its original state, I wouldn’t. I do hope your presence here serves some kind of purpose beyond wasting oxygen with your plaintive drivel.” Reaching into the underside of his vest, he withdrew a cigar from the pocket of the interior lining and put the item to his lips, using a lighter from the same pocket to set the tip into a smolder.

It was shortly after that when the call was given to press forward and begin the attack. With one last sideways glare at the woman, with Thana hoping beyond hope that the woman decided to stay near her, if only so she could see what the minx was capable of, Simeon made his way toward the heat of the battle. However, unlike the vast majority of the troops that had rushed out to meet the enemy head on, Simeon moved at a casual gait, confident but in no rush to throw himself heedlessly into the fight. Instead, his approached with meticulous caution and keen observation, searching out an opportune place to interject himself into the fray.

He found it with a group of Minstrelians that rushed near his position. They did not bear the insignias of the Musketeers, so they weren’t part of their order. Volunteers for the war, perhaps? It mattered little. They each bore enchanted rifles that they carried with enthusiasm, even if they carried themselves in such a manner as to suggest that they had very little training. Several of them stopped to take aim at other members of the Desiertan army and the Luminous Covenant. Rather that act, however, Simeon paused and watched them for a moment as they let off several shots, some of them even managing to take down a few of his “allies”.

Then, he drew in a deep breath through the cigar between his lips. When he released the breath, a wave of smoke rolled out from his lips to wash over the group like a thick fog, shrouding nine of them in its embrace. Immediately, the volunteers from Minstrel began to choke and gasp, their lungs filling with acidic poison as their bodies began to melt from the inside. They shrieked in agony, dropping their weapons and clutching themselves in a desperate and torturous fashion, falling to the ground and writhing in misery. As they one by one began to cough up mixtures of blood and partially dissolved organs in a slow and horrifying death, there was the briefest of moments where Simeon’s lips once more tugged up in a dark, pleased smirk, gratified by the grotesque display.

Double Trouble, Time to Rumble Empty Re: Double Trouble, Time to Rumble

"I would say if the shoe fits, but... I assume those deformed, as well?" Iris responded drolly to the apparent indignation that she could be talking about all of him. And, of course, she absolutely was. There was just no point in doing anything if all there was to be found was ugliness. It was almost enough to make Iris defect on the spot, yet his bothered reaction tickled the more sadistic part of her brain. Not sexually, cosmos forbid she touch any erogenous zone while he was on her mind, but in a more pure way.

The way he so seriously sassed her was such a shame! Such a waste! Iris frowned, mourning such a nice opportunity simply because this guy wanted to be an eyesore. "Mmmph, if you weren't so awful to look at, you'd have me dripping with talk like that," the pale woman grumbled to him as she followed, sore over an opportunity shattered. Perhaps if she put a mask on him? Would that bandaid the situation enough to enjoy it, or would the cursed memory of his face in her mind still prevail and dry her up like the desert they'd just escaped. She'd probably absorb lube at this point.

Even as orders came down to press in, Iris didn't acknowledge them much. The shapeshifting ball of space gas was a chaotic being at best and would always put her own agendas first. And, for now, annoying this guy was more important than the fighting. There'd be plenty of time to let some pretty soldiers from the other side get their licks in once she'd gotten to the bottom of this guy's damage. Given the level of distraction she planned to be, it was a wonder if she wasn't a secret agent in place to shake things up. Sadly, it wasn't the case.

Surely he could be badgered into finding someone to magically fix everything since he couldn't, and then they'd have a nice time! On that note, though she sashayed along at his flank matching his easy gait, her mind was clearly elsewhere. Iris remembered every set of eyes she owned, and one by one she combed through them to see if any could be reequipped that would let her at least fix his face, eyes included. Not much luck though. Most were illusionary abilities and that wasn't good enough to get the ick out of her mind. Others were more of the actual surgery variety, which would work, but not in the here and now. Disappointing.

By the time Iris snapped out of her ocular collection, they'd stopped walking. People were shooting and magicking and bleeding and blah, blah, blah, but more importantly Uggo had done some attacking of his own and she squeaked in terror. Not because of the gore, but for a weirder reason. A very Iris reason.

    He was melting them.

"Hey, hey! Careful with their eyes, you smokey brute! Are you trying to ruin them?" she warned sharply, springing into action. Useful action? Not for anyone but herself. As if gliding on air, she flitted to their allies first, using a sharpened melon-baller to scoop their eyes into jars that magicked in and out as needed. Then she rushed to the melting ones in various stages of death, salvaging what hadn't already melted. Turning with a pout, she held up one eyeball that was drooping like a marshmallow left in the campfire too long. "Now, look what you've done. You made it as ugly as you are..."

As she stood in the middle of a battle field, attacks from both sides whizzing all around her, the woman seemed completely unbothered by the danger and the disturbing visuals. All she cared about was that the ugly guy was even more awful now for costing her some new collectibles. Streams of water appeared around her and flicked at incoming attacks, slicing bullets and turning fire to steam. With a wiggle of her free fingers, the water turned into water jets and, in a horizontal windmill-type attack, beheaded nine Musketeers as they attempted to rush what seemed like a weak enemy. "Can you see how much better that was?" she asked, hearing eighteen thuds around her. A head rolled against her foot, which she promptly moved before grimy blood could sully her boot. "Or are you blind in that one eye?"

Iris was going to continue to be a thorn in his man's side, as if in punishment for being so displeasing to her eyes. Stooping down, she relieved the Musketeer heads of all eighteen of their beautiful eyeballs.
