    History/Story

    History:

    ~Frederick and Cecilia~
Frederick met Cecilia during one of the aristocrat parties his father used to throw. He used to find these parties lame and dull. Because usually there was no one of his age to hang around with. But this time he saw a gorgeous girl sitting at a table, looking just as bored as he was. But Frederick was entranced by this girl, so he gathered his courage and walked up to the girl. 'Hey there, can I join you. I'm rather bored and you seem kinda fun to hang out with'. The girl smiled at him and pointed her hand to a empty seat. 'My name is Cecilia Dumas, nice to meet you.' 'Lord Frederick, so tell me what are you doing here at a party full of old people and stiffs?' Cecilia laughed and answered 'My parents dragged me with them in the hope I'll find some suitable husband' 'So' says Frederick 'did you find a man who is a perfect match for you' 'Maybe' answered Cecilia 'depends how you play you're cards tonight'.

From that night on Frederick went to every party his father hosted, only so that he could see Cecilia. And after hanging out at a few of these parties. Frederick finally asked Cecilia if she would like to go out sometime. Cecilia blushed and agrees to this. So the months flew by, filled with joy. And at a certain point Frederick fell in love with Cecilia and she with him. So Frederick thought of a plan. He was going to propose to her. So Frederick brought Cecilia to her favorite place, a little bench in a park under a beautiful tree with white flowers grew in in it. The he took Cecilia's hand and got on one knee. He looked her in the eyes and said 'Cecilia Dumas, I can't see any possible future without you. I want you by my side forever, will you marry me?' To this Cecilia said yes. So Cecilia moved in with Frederick and the started their live together. Till a year had passed and Cecilia got sick. At first noting seemed wrong, just an ordinary cold. And Frederick continued his life without any worries. But after a few weeks, Cecilia kept being sick. And not only that, it got worse. She got recurring fevers, so sick that she was to weak to work in her precious garden. So it seemed as Cecilia got sicker the flowers withered with her. At some point she started coughing up blood. And they both knew it was going to be over soon.

Two months had passed since his beloved fiancee Cecilia passed away from a illness. At first Frederik blamed the doctors and physicians who couldn't find a cure. But slowly his anger turned into grief. And grief-stricken as he was Frederick didn't left his house anymore until one day Frederick couldn't bare the thought of being alone in his mansion anymore. So he walked down to the local town hoping to find some distraction. It was a busy day in town, the local market seems busier then normal. So while strolling the stalls Frederick noticed a merchant selling books. 'Maybe a good history book will keep my mind distracted' he tought. So while looking through the books, the merchant kept talking about the different books he had to sell. 'We have al kind of books kind sir, roman, history, magic books... even a book about necromancy' This caught Frederick's ear, and he looked up staring at the merchant. He didn't noticed it before but the merchant had his entire face covered with a cloak. 'What did you say?' Frederick asked while checking out the merchant. 'Reviving the dead sir, this book has a lot of tales of mages and legends who said to revive the dead' answered the merchant. Frederick forgot all about the merchant and in his excitement he'd buy the book without giving it a second thought.

Now back at the mansion, Frederick had started reading the book. And he didn't stop after he finished the last page. 'maybe this is the answer i'm looking for' he said to himself. But where would he begin his search. He needed some place where he could study this kind of eerie magic. Frederick walked around his library thinking, until he saw a book The variety of Guilds in Fiore. 'Wait this is could be it, what if I would join a guild' But reviving the dead was not something that was considered good of any kind. Because the various things he was going to study was really dark and forgotten. So a legal guild wasn't an option. Be that as it may Frederick grabbed his stuff, and put on his cloak. He needed a place were the rules of the magic council didn't apply, a place were he would not be shunned of what he was going to research. Somehow he felt relieved that somehow he could leave this place behind. And as he stepped outside he knew where he had to go.

    ~Savage Skull & The Lichborne~
After Frederick left his home he traveled for a while in search for a suitable guild to join, and always keeping an eye out for any information that slightly resembled about bringing back the dead. It was because of this he was always side tracked towards some ruin. Digging and researching anything he could find. Most of them turned out to be nothing but myths twisted around, and if he did find some artifact of value it never had the power or information he wanted it to have. Until he came across a wall, hidden deep inside the ruins of an old temple. Telling him about an ancient being that had surpassed the living and defied death. A being that stood on the edge between those two realms. And for some reason it felt real to Frederick. As if he knew that this happened. Not knowing that this was just a feeling, or something else orchestrating he started to research the wall. And after several weeks of studying the symbols on the wall, it finally gave him a location. A place in Fiore where not a lot of people dared to go.
It brought him through the Spooky Forest to a grim and dark landscape, with at the center of it the dark halls of the guild Savage Skull. A long and forgotten place, a dark guild that was active a long long time ago. And for the first time Frederick felt hope, he finally had something real. Something that could truly lead him to bring back his beloved Cecilia. And so he entered those dark halls.

There he encountered the Kazuki, the former Guild Master of the guild, a powerful wizard and highly respected in among the mages. At first Frederick did nothing more but jobs an researching the scriptures on the walls of the guild. Looking for any clue he could find. And so he roamed the many empty halls of Savage Skull, encountering only furniture from long forgotten times. Venturing deeper and deeper in the darkness of the guild battling revenants and other remainders from the guild, till he came upon a huge chamber. It had a thick and sickening vibe, and he knew he was at the heart of the guild. And in the middle of the room stood an sacrificial altar, that gave of a sick and twisted aura. Not like any other altar Frederick had ever encountered, it was as if he could almost see the horrifying ceremonies that happened here. Something had happened here, that made sure that every other sacrificing ceremonies were picking flower then compared with what was going on here.
Later in Frederick's life this feeling and vibe would be one of the most welcoming feelings to him he'd ever felt. It would become something that he embraced with open arms. But now it struck fear in Frederick's heart a sickening feeling, and somehow he could only thing about every terrifying and moments of despair that happened to him. He felt that he would go insane. And he felt on his knees, holding his hands against his head. He had found what he was looking for, an entitiy that resided in the very walls of the guild itself. Locked away for centuries. It spoke to him in his head, using a languange he didn't recognized. But there were a few words that was as clear as glass. 'Lichborne... Revive...'

When the moment had passed, this feeling of raw power stuck with him. And Frederick knew he had found a way to bring back what he had lost. But it would take time. Figuring the current guild master would want to hear about this. The power that was engraved in the guild itself, Frederick approached him as soon as possible. But there he encountered a problem. Kazuki the master of Savage Skull, didn't share his vision, he had other goals in mind. And scolded Frederick for bringing it up.
Furious that he was Frederick stormed through the guild, cursing to everyone he passed by. His plan to bring back the Lich in order to regain his fiancee failed. He didn't saw a way around it. No he didn't saw it happen at all without the guild backing him up. And then it hit him, what if he could get the guild back him up. If the entire guild wanted the Lichborne to return then even their master had to agree with it. But he had to do it in secrecy, if Kazuki even found out what he was planning to do. Putting the entire guild against his own will, he would make sure that Frederick wouldn't live for another day.
And so as Frederick himself sunk deeper into darkness, he submerged in the shadows of the guild. Always whispering.
Telling the other members of power, glory and riches that would come with the revival of the Lich. He appealed to their greed, fears, courage everything that could come to mind if it would persuade them. But always out of sight, hidden from Kazuki's eyes.
Some months passed, until Frederick had almost the entire guild under the influence of the Lichborne. And then it started, the other members started to question their leader why he refused the Lichborne. Why he didn't want the bath in it's power. Until it got violent, threatening Kazuki. And even attack him. And after defeating some of his former members Kazuki decided to leave. Never to return to the guild.
And as he walked out of the door, Frederick couldn't help but smile. Hidden inside the shadows of the guild.
Unknowingly that Kazuki and Savage Skull would cross paths once again in the future. In a way that Frederick never expected.

After the reformation of the guild Frederick became it's keeper, a caretaker of the guild. Not it's master, for it was not his place. But a powerful force that would hold the guild on it's path in finding the Lichborne. Until they found a creature that had served the Lich before. A giant centipede going by the name of The Reaper King, and this creature saw what Frederick was planning. It saw what the keeper was working for, the similair goal they shared. And it became one of the strongest assets of the guild.
