    zurius had a chance to meet the woman who marked Elaine last time. He also got to prove to her that her damn mark wasn't powerful enough to be bound to a single person forever. It was to his knowledge, the mark on his back would spread if he was agitated, but it was also to his knowledge he could transfer the mark to someone else.  Not so much because of an outside source, but more so because he transferred the mark from Elaine to himself.

    Earlier on this day, only a few days after Azurius had taken a portion of Elaine's mark, he had finally recovered enough strength to get back out there and make the world less shitty. Destiny had picked a job similar to the one he and Elaine had taken up several times before thinking it was what they preferred and presented it to Azure, who in turn, grimaced at the page. He stuffed it away and took Destiny down to the kitchen. They had already planned to make Elaine a surprise breakfast before, something to let her know they both cared, as well as thank her for just being alive. The meal prepared was an omelet with green pepper, red onions, diced potato, and bacon crumbs inside. Next to it was an assortment of smaller dishes, a small amount of grapes, three slices of an orange arranged to look fancy, and some chocolate drizzled around them. There was a bouquet of flowers in a crystal vase on the table, seated next to a glass of the purest, best quality water Azure could get from heaven. On a smaller plate was a crepe made with vanilla creme, blue berries, and raspberry sauce. A smaller plate contained a pancake wrapped around some yogurt with a toothpick stuck through it to keep it wrapped up. There were three platters on the tray, each contained the same thing that Elaine had. Azurius looked to Destiny who smiled back, letting him know she was ready to go. She grabbed a hold of his trench coat and Azurius let Sybil know to send them off. They arrived in Elaine's room without a sound, glad she was turned away from them. Azure nodded to Destiny, who promptly jumped up over Elaine screaming "MOOORRRRNING!!!" and slammed on the poor girl in a big hug. Azure walked to the light switch and flicked it on while laughing a bit, saying "Hope I didn't interrupt any pleasant dreams." Destiny leaned up on top Elaine saying "We made breakfast!" with an enthusiastic voice. Suriel materialized in the room, pulling the lids off the four plates and dropping the tray table down to a height appropriate for eating at. "I didn't help make it, just made sure it didn't look like shit." she said with a less than happy voice, still feeling a bit unhappy about Azurius associating with Elaine. Azure flicked her on the side of the head, giving her a warning glare to which Suriel sighed at.

    Elaine was dreaming of a forest, large trees, beautiful flowers and she was running, not sure to where; she stopped at the edge of the meadow, wind running through the tall grass, "Elaine." A voice had said, just as she turned around, her dream was interrupted by a shout, startling her out sleep, she shot up in bed taking in a deep breath. Her vision was blurry for a second and she was confused, then noticed that she was in bed, her large shirt hanging off one shoulder and Des draped on her lap. Pushing sleep worn hair out of her face, she took the young girl in her arms, "morning Desi." She mumbled sleepily, honestly it wasn't the first time she woke up to the small girl, she often stopped by for tea or to play games. She looked around the room and saw Azurius by the light switch. "Morning Az....is that, breakfast? It smells great. She complimented, placing Destiny by her side, allowing the young girl to go under the comforter as well, curling up next to Elaine. "N-no, my dream was the same as always," She brushed off lightly, propping herself up on a pillow.

    She looked over to Suriel, as she materialized and pulled off the cover of all the dishes. Elaine gave her an honest smile. She forgave the angel, even if Suriel didn't wholeheartedly like her, Elaine vowed to try her best to respect her and try to make her a trusted friend. "Thank you Suriel. It looks absolutely amazing." She said honestly; looking at all the food in front of her. Her stomach made a low grumbling noise in compliant with the smell of the dishes. "You didn't need to do all of this for me."

    She was sure to ask Azure when he got closer how he mark was doing, hopefully it had not caused him to much trouble.

    estiny grabbed her hand, looking at her with a big smile and nodding once. "We did!" she exclaimed happily. "You've been super nice to me, and you have tea with me, and play with me, and teach me lots of stuff!" "You've been a damn good partner for me, able to keep this old general from missing his multiple armies of comrades. You've also helped me in ways I can't possibly make up for." he said in a soft voice, his golden eyes having finally regained their golden glow would show he truly wasn't feeling bad. Suriel looked at Elaine, the kind of look that says "It's also because he probably wants you to fall in love with him..." without her actually having to open her mouth. Destiny caught the look, but due to her only being about six or seven she didn't actually understand girl talk to that extent. Azurius didn't see the look, even if he did he wouldn't understand it. Since he was a male, with a male brain, he didn't understand many things about women if anything at all.

    Azurius materialized a set of dining wear. They were all made purely of silver with an oval shaped piece of white marble embedded into the ends of it. The knives were solid marble for a handle with the blade protruding from it instead of the marble being embedded into the metal. He materialized some chairs made of wood, since marble chairs would probably damage the flooring, and they took their seats. The table was positioned next to Elaine's bed, allowing her bed itself to be Elaine's seat since Azure didn't want to know whether or not she was wearing pants under that blanket... to be frank, he was glad she was wearing a shirt since he didn't know if she slept au-naturale or not.

    Elaine caught the look, she already had half guessed that the reason for his arrival wasn't purely on his admiration of her team work. But just as Sybil had plead her not to do, she did not bring it up. Instead she gave a wide smile, throwing a quick knowing look at Suriel, the kind that asked her not to bring any of this up right now, she knew Suriel would not say anything; because she too cared about her old friend and current master, and hopefully, she had enough respect for Elaine not to bring any of what had happened in Beanstalk up in conversation. With that pain staking look, she sat herself at the edge of the bed.

    She was thankful for her sleeping shorts at this moment. She sat at the table, eyeing all the food in front of her "You really are to kind Az, this is all so amazing. Thank you so much." She said sincerely; smiling at her partner and his daughter. "Suriel, would you like to join us? I know you said you didn't make it, but you helped, and it wouldn't feel right if you didn't sit and eat with us as well."

    uriel took the hint and pulled the chair back, moving around and taking her seat. Azure sat across from Elaine where he could look into her eyes with minimal effort, and Destiny sat on Elaine's left side. Azurius was a bit red as he sat across from Elaine, he found himself having a harder time staying in a normal state of mind with her around. The mark on his back had no reaction to this lack of emotional control, it being dark magic it was kept in check by Azurius's being a holy entity. He quickly moved it out of his mind, the feelings he was wanting to express that is, since he knew that them being together would be more troublesome for her. Angels weren't allowed to love anyone, especially high ranking generals like Azurius. To do so would make them fight for themselves, wanting nothing more than to return home to their families instead of keeping their brothers and sisters alive. The working class angels received some leeway, in that they could ask for permission to court each other, but never a member of the army. Azurius and Suriel knew all too well the consequences of doing such a thing, they both experienced it first hand. "Azure." Suriel called, returning him from his own mind. "Y- yes?" he asked with a confused tone. "Back then, before 'that' you never answered my question." she said, knowing exactly what Azurius was thinking about beforehand. "Let me collect my thoughts, then I'll be able to answer it." he replied in an unsure, saddened voice. His human heart pulled him towards Elaine, but his angelic mind pulled him back if only to spare her the troubles. Once the meal was complete, Azurius would pull the job listing from his pocket. It detailed someone being able to destroy castles with its bare hands, and having several traps that seem to always kill the guard before they can even reach it. "That's probably gonna be our last bounty type job for a good week or two. I have something else that requires my attention afterwards, and I'd like you to come with me. It's not dangerous in the least, not even by human civilian standards." he said calmly.

    Elaine caught the conversation they had, yet the did not want to pry, not after what had happened last mission she already assumed that she was in Suriel's bad side. She didn't want to pry into their private lives just to know what was going on. She finished her meal, cleaning up both her face and Desi's which was covered in food. She then cleared her throat, listening to Azurius' latest mission advice as well as the fact that he wished to later on take her somewhere. She nodded, "That sounds good, I could use a break after this. She agreed. She looked away briefly outside, dreading to bring up the subject that had plagued her mind for the past few days.

    "So." She began. "Are you, feeling well? It hasn't been to bad these past few days for you has it...?" She treated this subject lightly in time, but the look in her face suggested a much heavier emotion. She didn't want to go strucktly into detail, still mildly afraid of how Suriel may react if she went to far in conversation. If she had to be honest, she was still kind of scared of Suriel. She knew what the angel did was out of love for her friend, but Elaine was not yet fully aware of the power she possessed and vowed to keep herself on red alert when around Suriel. She already knew the few tricks she possessed, but she did not know much else except for the fact that the angel was not so fond of her. She flicked a quick look to her before returning it back to her empty plate.

    zure smiled at Elaine's concern, he knew that she would ask about it since he hadn't been outside of his room for those past three days. He stood up and unbuttoned his shirt, taking it off to reveal his well toned body that was still decorated in wounds from when he was human. He turned around, and destiny pointed to a very, very, very, very minuscule dot on the absolute center of his back. It was so small that to see exactly what the symbol was, one would need to use a magnifying glass, or shove their eye right against Azurius's back. "It doesn't react to my emotions like it does yours." he said calmly. Azurius turned around and picked up his clothes, putting them back on before he said "I'm not sure why it's less reactive to me, but it only burns when I get to an extreme emotion, and never changes sizes." he said. "Anyhow, I'll step out and let you get changed, Suriel would you mind taking Destiny and our tray back to the guild hall?" he asked. Azurius knew he could have sybil or the gate take it much faster, but he didn't want Suriel around Elaine... at least not while he or his spirits weren't there to keep an eye on her.

    Elaine turned slightly red when he removed his shirt, she still wasn't 100% all knowing if her partner and seeing him shirtless just flustered her slightly, she had to remind herself that this was for the greater good, looking at the advancement of the mark, it's reactions and what not. She sighed and smiled slightly; it wasn't big, it want like Elaine's which now took up a small portion of her lower back. It was just there, resting, sitting, waiting. She was thankful for that. "She was right." She murmured thankfully. "Thank god Master was right... She smiled up at him happily. This news was great, this meant exactly what Yui had said, that the mark was not strong enough to corrupt an angel. This was news that made Elaine thankful to have a partner such as Azurius. She quickly waved goodbye to Suriel and Destiny and after they left she clapped her hands together, suddenly remembering a few things she had wanted to tell him for a while now.

    "Ah! A few things you should know about it. Now that you have it at least, you should know about it a bit more. The reason it doesn't react as strongly as it does to you then me, is because, one, you're an angel. The embodiment of light and everything holy. That mark is dark magic, black magic, so it isn't as strong on you as it is on me. Two, it's also because you are stronger than me, not as susceptible to human emotions," She explained, then realized what she said may have sounded rude, "Ah!! No offence!!" She added quickly after.

    "Another thing, it isn't a curse if you are strong. It's a burden to me because I am weak...." She said, trying not to sound desperate for compliments, "weaker than you and Master at least. Yet, because you are strong, this mark will serve as a magic reserve, if you ever find yourself caught in battle, exhausted and depleted of all magic; you can summon the mark on your back and for a limited time, it will grant you power beyond belief. I have only used it once, I use the mark to summon my Angel's Armor. A very powerful piece; but the one time I used it, it almost consumed me....so I have to become stronger to control it. Which really doesn't apply in your case." She finished explaining.

    he explanation came as Azurius was inside the doorway, he didn't say anything about it beyond "You're far stronger than you know..." as he closed the door. Azurius walked to the room just before the front door to Elaine's home and leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest, head to the ground and eyes closed. He pondered Elaine's definition of strength, if it was physical strength, then likely Azurius had her beat. If it were mental strength, the answer was debatable. Emotionally, Azure was no stronger than her. Azurius wasn't like Suriel... Suriel was born an angel, she had an angel's heart, and angel's mind, and an angel's body... oh gods does she have an angel's body... Azurius however was born a human. He sacrificed his human mind, and retained the heart of a human. He became flustered, he became frustrated, he got sad, and angry, and everything else that a human felt. Unlike Suriel, Azurius didn't have someone to use a command seal and regulate his emotions. He relied on his own strength for that, which many times wasn't great enough. At the moment, Azurius would only believe that it was his angelic attributes that suppressed the mark to such a degree, and not his emotional control.

    She thought on his words as she got dressed, brushing out her hair
    "He's right you know, you're stronger than you think." A voice said from behind her.
    "Please leave. I can't deal with you right now, Yui. And aren't you suppose to be in the spirit realm?" She countered harshly.
    "I popped by to say hi. But he's right, you have the strength. Eli, use it. Don't keep holding yourself back because your afraid like...." Her sentance faded off.
    "What? Like last time? You're talking about last time I used the mark right?? You aren't allowed to tell me how to use my strength. If I remember correctly, you weren't the one who decimated an entire village." Elaine spat back, gripping the hair brush in her hand. "They didn't even want to fight. Women, children, elders. All of them. I killed them all!! So you aren't allowed to say that! Don't speak to me about strength!" She screamed, whipping her hair brush at her teacher, who was gone in a flash of light, back to the celestial realm. The brush effectively hitting a mirror, shattering it. She took in a breath, tied up her hair instead, and went to go meet Azurius outside. Her expression was steeled, unnerving, emotionless.

    here was screaming, the sound of shattering glass that had caused Azurius to get off the wall and make a step in the direction of Elaine's room with the intention of coming to her side, but before he could go further than that step he saw her. She looked cold, different from her normal self. "E- Elaine what's wrong? I heard screaming, and glass breaking." his voice was concerned for her. If she didn't provide a true answer, Azurius would grab her hand turning her to look him in the eyes. His other hand would rest gently on her shoulder as he spoke in a soft, gently, worried tone. "Look me in the eyes, and tell me it's okay. I want you to swear to me that nothing happened to make you unhappy..." Azurius would still doubt Elaine if she said it was alright, but it would only serve to make him more determined to make sure she wasn't hurt. Once that was done with, Azurius would telepathically tell the celestial gate to transport them both to the train station, rather than take the scenic route and travel like normal people.

    She brought her attention back to Azurius who came running to her side after she broke the mirror. "I....saw a bug. A spider." She mumbled, he then took her hand, telling her to face him. She did so, looking into his eyes, she did feel the guilt of not telling him the entire story of the mark, though she worried about what would happen if she did. She held power on her back to wipe out cities. And now, so did he. "I am fine, Azurius, it was just an insect, it got away before I could kill it. I hope it doesn't return." She said, she didn't mean to speak of her teacher like that; but she was so furious, she couldn't help it.

    She removed her hand from his; she felt bad, she was taking out her anger on him. Her harsh look softened slightly, she still didn't look away from his eyes, "lets just, go and do that job. The sooner the better."

    s ordered, the Celestial Gate transported Azurius and Elaine to the train station where, as always, Azurius got the tickets and brought Elaine hers. The tickets were for a train ride to Magnolia, from there, they would catch a flight to Rose Garden where the actual job took place. Azure had sensed the deception, the unhappiness in Elaine's voice when they were holding hands. While waiting for the train, Azurius had sat on the far end of the bench with a gap between him and her. Normally, he sat directly next to Elaine but made sure to keep his hands to himself. He wasn't sure how to deal with this, he'd never once had Elaine direct frustration at him so it was new. The train came after only five minutes, though for Azurius... the silence made it feel like years. The train was empty this time, not many workers traveling on the weekend which left many booths devoid of life. Azurius opened the cabin door for Elaine, allowing her to sit if she chose to sit with him. If she decided to be alone this time, Azure would accept it and enter the cabin without her. Regardless of if she entered or not, the pain from not making Elaine feel better, the futility of his presence would lead Azurius to lean his head against the far end of the cabin, looking out the window with nearly dead eyes. His face was grieved, and he wouldn't speak or try and sleep. It was different, since every other train ride... Azurius instantly used Elaine as a pillow. Assuming Elaine had chosen to ride with him, he would only speak if she addressed him.

    Elaine sat in the same cabin as Azurius. She sat next to the window, for the next hour she watched all the scenery pass her by. Her mind was somewhere else, her mind was back to that day. That day of screaming and crying. That day of fire and death. She was awake for it all, the mark hadn't let her forget any of it, it replayed that nightmare for months. Like a nightmare she couldn't wake up from. She hadn't noticed that out of her silent state a few years had slipped down her cheeks, she bit down hard on her lip to keep from making noises.

    "I'm sorry. Azure. I'm sorry." She whispered, "I'm so sorry! She apologized frantically. In her mind, she was half apologizing to him, the other half, she wished to be to the people she had killed. "I didn't mean to! I didn't mean to....it was all my fault Azurius. It was all my fault." She sobbed. She wasn't sure if Azurius would forgive her for her cold emotions toward her; but somewhere through her apology she ended up spewing out things that had been long since on her mind.

    single tear, the glistening reflection of the light filtering through the window and into the small bead of salted water had caught Azure's attention. "H- hey-" he was caught off guard when she suddenly apologized to him. "What?" he asked feeling thoroughly confused at the situation. She then began spewing forth more apologies as though he had demanded it of her or something, making Azurius realize that in him letting his sadness show, she had caught onto it and made her saddened. Suriel had walked into the cabin, closing the door and leaning against it. "I checked archive about your girlfriend, there's more she's crying about than what you think." she said coldly with her arms crossed under her chest. Azure moved across the cabin, sitting next to her he turned and reached his arms across her body. He grabbed her shoulder with the hand that was in front her, and her waist with the one that was behind her and pulled Elaine into his chest. "This all happened after I took some of the mark from you. I want you to stop apologizing to me, there's nothing to be sorry for. I want you to tell me what's making you sad, I want to help you." Azurius said in a soft tone. "And... don't push me away again." he said, his tone somewhat disheartened.

    The first sign of hesitance from Elaine would prompt Suriel to jut in saying "You foolish little human. Has Azurius not shown you the level of devotion to you necessary for you to speak? Have you not learned nothing will cause him to separate from you? This man has held no female closer in his entire existence, and has never died for someone so frequently as you and that child. Yet you question whether or not that which you think of is sufficient to make him abandon you?! Did he not state that you're both partners!? Did he not state he would not abandon you, and that you would not abandon him!?" she would stop there, knowing her point was made.

    Elaine buried herself in his chest, sobbing. She heard Suriel's words to her, she shut her eyes and let the angel girl lash out at her. She gripped his shirt and few in a shaking breath, pulling her gaze up to Suriel. "You. You of all people should know this feeling, you should know the feeling of killing hundreds as a part of heavens army. But you don't carry the burden of a human heart. You're right, I should tell him. I should tell him what he now has to carry with him for the rest of his life. Because wouldn't that be the right thing to do? Right? I should tell him everything about me, is that what you want Suriel? Because, if I don't, you'd just tell him anyways." She hissed, peeling herself away from her partner. She looked at him in the eyes.

    "I decimated a village. A whole god damn village. No remorse. No regret. I used the mark to defeat an enemy and it took that chance to possess my body. I could see it all, I remember it all. I watched as I killed every man, woman and child in a whole village. Wiped it out completely in one night. No survivors. Not one. I watched it go up in flames and laughed. Yui had to almost kill me to get me to stop. One side of the island I grew up is completely gone, vanished. Destroyed. Sometimes I hear screaming. And now, I've given it to you. I've given the screaming and the pain and the memories and the power to you." She said. She thought the weight was suppose to fall off her chest; but it just weighed down heavier. She looked at him in the eyes. "It's me versus it. Sometimes I want to give in. Sometimes I want to just let go. But I can't. And now you're the reason that I can't. I don't want you to see that." she whispered then stood up, brushing past Suriel.

    "Happy?" She hissed before walking out of the cabin. If Azurius chose to follow her, she would attempt to apologize. If he didn't, she'd be alone with her thoughts.

    zurius had followed Elaine all the way to the back of the train, a railing on the outside and he wrapped his arms around her while standing behind. He moved his face next to hers and gently kissed her cheek, not thinking of the fact that to humans, such a thing was a show of romantic feelings. "You haven't passed anything to me I didn't already have..." he said calmly, tightening his grip around her. "Suriel may have an angel's heart, but she does have feelings. We, all of us, members of the holy army bear the deaths of millions. I remember the faces of every last innocent being I've ended, and for those who give me their names... I remember those too." his voice was soft, apathetic... as though he'd given up on grieving. "You destroyed a village, I've destroyed entire civilizations. It's what makes us a good team, we can share each other's pains. The weight you carry is no longer your own, nor will I give you the choice to carry it alone... I need you to know that I-" Azurius was entirely cut off by the sudden lurching of the train as it began stopping in Magnolia. "I suppose we'll finish this talk later. But one last thing... Suriel would have never told me that about you." he said before opening the train door to go and exit through the proper route. Suriel had waited for him at the cabin, she knew that her presence put Elaine on edge. "So... about my ques-" "Later, we have to go catch our flight." Azurius cut her off.

    She sighed. She was okay, he understood what had happened and why. He excepted it. Then the weight lifted off her chest. They were in the same boat, they all were. Even Suriel of whom Elaine was sure had a heart of stone. They were all in the same boat. Just as Azurius left Elain smiled at his comment about Suriel; the angel was prepared to kill Elaine just at the thought of Azure's death. Suriel was prepared to kill anyone who she thought was a threat to Azure; that was a type of resolve she hoped to one day have for someone.

    "Oh dear, if only you knew how far she would go for you. You would regret those words." She smiled and shook her head. She followed him off the train and on to the platform. She also felt the need to do research on Suriel; just as she had done on her. She felt as though the angel had made it her mission to uncover every little secret she had to offer, and now, Elaine felt as though it was a bit one sided. When she got off the train she met both Suriel and Azure at the platform. "Where do we go from here?" She asked, looking around at all the people boarding the train.

    t the platform on of Azurius's summons was waiting for him, none other than the blonde haired beauty Aries. She saw them finally arrive and walked right up as though seeing the three of them were commonplace occurrences. "How's it goin? You behaving Suriel?" she said with a light smile to them. "Suriel hasn't tried killing Elaine in the past few days so I'd say it's progress." Azure joked back. "What do you want?" Suriel hissed at her, her voice gave off the fact that she didn't appreciate Aries's little joke. "Nothing really, I knew you guys were coming for that guy so I decided to go ahead and make it easy. He's already chained up pretty good in his lair, a few small things for you to get past that shouldn't be a problem." Aries said before vanishing in a cloud of golden dust. "Well... I guess that kind of makes this whole trip a bit useless since it went from fighting the bad guy to dropping him off at the nearest guard station." Azurius stated. "Suriel, do me a solid and get started on the paperwork. Elaine and I can go haul the prisoner to his cell." Azurius pulled out the holy archive and showed Elaine where they were headed, it was a bit of a walk across town but nothing they hadn't done before.

    Elaine smiled at Ares when she saw her. Ares, was one of Azurius' friends of whom did not want to murder her and as well someone who her master spoke very fondly of. Therefore, she trusted her very much, and felt very calm around her; less unnerved then she did with Suriel. Elaine smiled slightly at Ares joke, "She has been very kind to me Ares, thank you." Elaine told her, deciding to skip over what had happened in the train. Before they left for their destination, Elaine pulled the blonde aside. "I had, never gotten the chance to thank you. For that day, you stood up for me when I could not do it myself; even though you did not know me very well. So I thank you very much for that." She said to her, offering her a kind smile.

    "And....if you happen to see a woman, Yui, who works in the court of the celestial king, tell her that I am sorry. She is important to me, and has been through hell itself; I should not have screamed at her this morning." She told her, if Ares agreed, Elaine would offer her a wide smile then go to join Azure to retrieve the bandit.

    e watched Elaine talk with Aries for a bit, likely showing her gratitude for stopping Suriel back at Beanstalk Village. He decided to wait for her to catch up instead of walking over and possibly overhearing something he shouldn't, or seeming to be a clingy person. While walking, a series of hives was dropped around the two wizards, unleashing a massive swarm of bees that all seemed to start converging on them. Azurius, out of quick reaction and partial fear for Elaine's safety, put his hand out and summoned a swarm of larger wasps to attack them. The ones he summoned were as large as a deck of cards with huge stingers, but he had implanted an instinct to only sting if there's no doubt they're under attack. After the hornets that attacked Azure were all laying dead on the ground, her turned to Elaine. "You okay?"

    She was quick as well, to summon a small round shield that she managed to hide from many of the hornets, many of them getting their stingers stuck in the wooden shield. Azurius asked if she was alright, she gave him a quick nod, putting the shield back and letting out a breath. "They came out of no where. It was a bit of a surprise." She admitted. She returned to his side, looking up at him slightly, but at the same time keeping an eye out for anymore monsters.

    "I am glad, that back on the train I told you what I had done. I had kept it a secret for so long, I did not think to tell anyone honestly. But you reacted well...better than I believed." She said truthfully. She stopped him mid walk down their path by grabbing one of his hands, "but there was something else; that you wished to tell me on the train, wasn't there?"

    zure did want to say something, his hand wrapped around hers instinctively and his eyes took on a more pained expression. "No, there wasn't." he said. It was a blatant lie, but he knew that if he said it he would be putting her in danger. His expression changed to being unsure as he released her hand and sped up to where their captive was supposed to be, trying to escape the fact that Elaine possibly knew what he was going to say. It hurt him, no... that wasn't what was hurting him... the mark had spread suddenly, a very, very small line of it had crept up and poked over the back of Azurius's neck. Azure felt it, and began suppressing his emotions, causing the mark to recede back down and return to its former size. The two of them would find the behemoth of a monster chained up tightly in a back alley and Azurius would ask Sybil to transport it to the guard station for him.

    Just as Sybil had told her a few days prior, he wasn't ready to admit the feelings he had for her. And she wasn't sure if it was for the best or worse. The more he repressed, the more frustrated he'd become and the more the mark would- there. She saw it creep past his collar; right on queue. She sighed, grinding her foot into the dirt. Then again, if he elaborated his feelings for her she feared that in the future he may do something stupid for her. Like risk his life; even more than he does on the daily basis.

    Just as soon as it was there, the mark was gone. That wasn't good. He was suppressing his emotions. That wasn't good at all. She reached out to grab him once more but held back, "Azurius.....you idiot." She whispered; before running to go join him and the criminal.
