'There it is again!!'

In the moment Frederick sensed the exact being again, he immediately reacted by letting his tentacles rush over there. However once a5gain, it appeared that the black extension only had stone and sand to destroy. As they came to crashing halt into the wall.

This feeling, this blood thirst, this sensation of imminent attack. Frederick had felt it before, more then once event. Not from the exact same being, but the feeling of a predator. Something he had learned to pick up when he was younger and traversed through the Spooky Forest. A place that was filled with terrifying hunters. There one would learn the feeling of being stalked, the difference of prey and hunter. It was for some reason because of ones cruel intent and thirst for blood, a feeling so wild and uncontrollable that it was almost as real as the touch of skin.

Realizing this Frederick also came to understand one other thing, that a being managed to to stir up those old sensations inside Frederick. Could only mean one thing, and that was that it was powerful, so strong even that it could rival or even overpower his own strength. That the creature was the hunter, and more importantly... that Frederick was the prey.

Not wanting to take any chances, Frederick quickly decided to use the same method he had used to take care of the thralls earlier. And let all the tentacles rush towards the surrounding shadows. To slam and pummel at everything that could be hiding in the darkness. May it be rubble, a wall or the actual being that was playing a game with him.

Yet while the tendrils had an unending barrage of hits against the walls, Frederick suddenly felt the blood thirst again. Only now it was as if it was breathing down his neck, almost touching him. And when Frederick traced that feeling he saw the fatal flaw that he had overlooked. Almost unnoticed, like a true predator, had this being placed herself in the one dead spot that Frederick overlooked. Hanging against the wall directly above him, only inches away from him. Her face, now almost touching his as he looked up and stared directly at her.

Ryo pulled out two decks of playing cards inside of his dome of light even as two more shadow beasts charged him only to meet the same end as their comrade before them. He inhaled slowly as the cards began to orbit his body and he dropped the playing cards down to the floor. No sooner had he dropped them then they surged up to his back and began to form into long angel wings made of cards. The wings folded around him as he spoke out softly his voice dripping with magic "Shield Release" The dome of light dropped from around him and he slowly stood up spreading his wings as he turned to face the remaining ten hounds that were trapped in the room with him.

He scoffed and shot out cards from his wings 15 in total. Five of these struck the spike of earth that was blocking the door and shattered it to pieces. The other ten divided and struck random beasts, but this wasn't really what Ryo was interested in. He was more concerned with the spell he was in the middle of casting "Card Creation: Dragon, Tiger!" at his words dozens of cards began to fly from his wings, and his coat. One was a tarot card with a dragon Depicted upon it, the other had a tiger dipected on it. The cards flew around those two cards and slowly began to form the beasts that was specified. The dragon finished first and it was a long serpentine like creature. It shot forward snapping up one of the already wounded hounds in it's powerful jaws breaking it in half with ease. While it struck another one with it's tail sending it to break into pieces against the wall. The tiger was neck and it gave a loud Roar that could easily be heard by both Frederick and the Vampire.

No sooner had it come into being than it launched itself at Another of the previously injured Shadow beasts and sank it's fangs into the beast's neck snapping it with one quick movement. Two of the beasts attempted to move after it, but Ryo stopped them by throwing two playing cards at them only one struck however, and the other neared the tiger as planned, only to be slashed in several places by the great feline's claws. The battle was turning into a one sided slaughter, but Ryo had to get out of here quickly in order to help his teammate.

Stats:

Unknowingly Frederick was directly staring into the vampires Matriarch eyes, however what was supposed to be a monster was actually a stunning appearance that could put the goddess of love to shame. No instead of some bloodsucking monster, some vampiric grotesque bat creature. Frederick was directly staring at one of the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life. Her skins was as smooth and white as porcelain, yet seem to fit perfectly with her red hair. That flowed in the air as if she was laying in the water. Her facial features were perfect, from her nose to the red clear gems that were her eyes

Frederick followed the path of her skin, not aware that he was completely entranced by the Matriarch. Slowly gliding with his eyes from her face, down her neck to her bosom. Which femininity was greatly revealed by the deep v-neck gown she was wearing. And even though it was ragged and torn, taking away the glamour it used to have. It somehow seemed fitting to the woman, a perfect combination with her already white complexion.

The large black tendrils, that once were hostile and were ready to pummel anything it touched into a pulp. Had become docile and slowly move down to the ground, until they laid there lifeless. They didn't even showed the slightest sign of twitching or twirling anymore. And Frederick, well he was still staring straight at the woman. His eyes locked into those of hers, while any rational thought slowly ebbed away. Until there was nothing but emptiness in his head, that the only thing he could comprehend was the female entity in front of him.

Slowly she reached out to him, her hand slowly moving back through his hair. While she would move down from floating in mid air and place her self directly in front of Frederick. All while she kept her gaze focussed on Frederick. Keeping his eyes locked on his. 
And while she did that, Frederick could hear her voice. Echoing inside him, like a church bell in the vague distant. Slowly becoming louder and louder. Until his head was only filled with the soothing warm words she provided him with.

Ryo looked to his creatures and nodded his head once they would be able to handle things in here. He just needed to get to frederick before something else happened. As a card beast tried to lunge at him he shot it with 15 cards that flew from his wings. The beast was no match and was hit with the majority of them the other three hitting one of it's comrades to injure it. His long serpentine dragon snatched up this injured Shadow beast without waiting a moment snapping it in two with it's powerful jaws, while it's lightning fast tail struck another shadow beast sending it flying into a wall.

Satisfied the two creations would have this handled Ryo began to move towards the doorway once more. Still the remaining shadow beasts wouldn't let him be alone and moved to bar his path once more. Ryo was becoming annoyed at this point and nodded his head once pulling out more cards. In either hand he had a tarot card that had a picture of himself upon it. Then eight playing cards. He allowed these cards to drop to the floor and they began to form and create two visages of Ryo himself. Now with all of his creations out he would make short work of these wretches.

His first clone pulled up several cards and began to fire bolts of lightning from them. This was Ryo's lightning strike, and each bolt was shot out and hit a different shadow beast causing them to be a bit shocked for a moment. However this was just long enough to allow the tiger and the dragon to snap up two more of the beasts tearing them apart piece by piece. Ryo's left clone however began to throw cards at the shadow beasts finding he was hitting more than he was missing, and after three cards another two shadow beasts were brought down. Ryo looked to the doorway and flew for it as fast as he could in his mind he spoke to the clones "You without a spell stay here and clean up. There are still a few left. You with your spell come with me we have to go find Frederick." The clone followed him and the pair of them flew through the door leaving the shadow beasts and the other card apparitions. They flew down through the hole and as they arrived on the scene Ryo was stunned into silence.

He couldn't believe what he was witnessing. This Vampire matriarch had Sabertooth's most ruthless mage trapped under her spell. It baffled Ryo and he couldn't comprehend it, but still he wouldn't let him be captured so easily. Instead he summoned up cards and inhaled softly and slowly. He flew as fast as he could to the side so he was on the vampire's left side, and he cast his spell two great beams of light shot out at the woman one right at her the other was stacked on top of the other so if she tried to jump up and get away she wouldn't be able to. He wasn't going to let her have his friend without a fight.

Stats:

The woman got Frederick dazed, unable to even think or form any thoughts of his own. Instead his head was filled with a voice, presumably the Matriarchs. Which was strange and eerie since she didn't even opened her mouth. No instead she seemed to be able to project her own thoughts directly into Frederick. Just by gazing at him and enthralling him.

'Accept me Frederick, be mine... become part of me' he didn't recognized the voice that was calling out to him. Yet it felt so familiar, warm even. And unaware it was nurturing and reminded him of the warmth he used to know. Back when he was still together with the love of his life. 
It was off course that empty hole, left by the passing of his fiancee, that the Matriarch was preying upon. 

Frederick couldn't answer, even if he wanted too. No he could only hear the voice resounding inside of him. 'I can make you whole again Frederick, accept me and I will be with you till the end of days'

The soothing tone of her voice, the warmth it gave off made Frederick realize the emptiness he carried in his own existence. It urged him to answer the woman, to give himself to her. With his entire being, with body and soul. Yet something withhold him from giving in, what that was Frederick didn't know. But it kept him from saying yes to the vampiric beauty in front of him. Later Frederick would realize that it was probably his own darkness that recognized the woman as an equally evil entity in some subconscious way. Because of that it never could fill the void in his own heart, since his own darkness had already failed.

At that same moment Frederick's darkness started to fight back against the Matriarchs influence over him. The spell that had an hold over Frederick was broken off, as a beam of light would send the foul creature back. It missed her though, as she backed away into the darkness while hissing at the very person who interrupted her malicious plan.

Ryo wasted no time he flew towards Fredrick his eyes full of concern. His clone on the other hand watched his back keeping the vampire woman in it's sights. It was a perfect clone of Ryo in every way so it would be able to keep track of the Matriarch. It also was in a bit better shape than Ryo was at the moment and so it acted as a guard. Ryo stopped in front of Fredrick and began to look him over careful not to touch him for fear he would be upset "Frederick? Frederick? are you alright?! Speak to me. Did she hurt you? Did she bite you?" he asked in a frantic speed turning to keep track of the vampire matriarch himself as best he could.

Upstairs however was a different scenario. The clone of Ryo pulled out two cards and shot a beam of light at a shadow beast hitting it and allowing the Tiger to rip it's throat out. The dragon snapped a shadow beast in it's jaws as it sent another one flying with a slap of it's tail. The clone let four cards fly hitting another shadow beast bringing it down. As a beast tried to leap at it the Card Tiger rushed up and tackeled it to the ground clawing into it with both paws ripping it open. The last Shadow beast was unfortunate as it tried to stand in the doorway. Both the dragon and the tiger surged forward sinking their respecting jaws into the beast ripping it in half. Now with the monster's cleared they followed Ryo out of the room and into the basement below.

As they came upon the scene the Clone that was down with Ryo began to throw card after card at the matriarch to keep her moving and keep her away from Ryo and Frederick. Ryo on the other hand turned and looked at his clone speaking to it's mind "The woman is the enemy kill her at any cost!" He looked at the card animals as he knew that they wouldn't last much longer a few cards already starting to fall to the ground as both the tiger and dragon lunged for the woman. The tiger seeking to pounce at her and bite into her flesh. The Dragon slithering forward trying to bite her as well. The other clone however also began to throw cards at her all four of these creations weren't a substitue for Ryo or Frederick, but they would prove to be troublesome for the Matriarch as four opponents of some skill would be hard for anyone to deal with at all.

Stats:

Slowly but steady Frederick woke up from the Matriarchs spell, which to him felt just like waking up after a long slumber. Exactly like the one you would have after long night of drinking and going out. It made him disoriented when he woke up, having trouble to pinpoint where he exactly was. And what he was there.

A few seconds later and his vision became less clouded, and he could actually distinguish Ryo's face hanging in front of his. Shouting out his name, which slowly triggered Frederick to realize where he was standing. Or better yet, realized what just happened. Which caused Frederick to burst into anger as his eyes widened.

'Get out of my way!!' He said abruptly while shoving Ryo aside. 'I am going to finish that wench! Even if I have to level this entire building!!' To back up his claim, Frederick immediately shot a beam of darkness from the palm of his hand. Hitting whatever could be hiding in the shadows, which unfortunately for the two mages seemed to be a supporting wall. That caused a slight rumbling shake, of the buildings foundation the moment the beam struck it down.

Unable to process the fact that he was actually embarrassed that he of all people, was so easily influenced and enthralled by a woman. A vampire even. Which to him was nothing more then a parasite in comparison. It made Frederick act out in the only way he knew, in utter destructive anger. While cursing himself in his head to let this happen.

Frederick knew, that if he still was the guilder master of Savage Skull, that such a thing never would have happened. In fact he would've probably struck her down already. Standing victorious over her dead and destroyed body. Yet now that he was in Sabertooth, he had lost his leadership and his position. A feature that Frederick was reminded of every day. Especially when he that excuse for a girl wandering around as their so called master. It had made him weak, the guild, the people. Sabertooth has made him weaker then he ever was. He couldn't thrive on the standing he once had, or put any strength out of the fear people had when he treaded through Savage Skull.

Being forced to realize all this yet again, Frederick would shoot another black beam from his hand. Only this time bigger and in a different direction. But just like his previous assault, the dark projectile didn't hit anything but an empty wall. That just like the other supported the already frail building above them. Meaning that when this beam also impact and left a large hole, it also started to create another tremor again all around them.

'Where is she!!!'

Ryo was elated to see Frederick slowly return to his normal self. It was a good sign and seeing as Ryo could see any blood on him as of yet then it was an even better sign that he hadn't been bitten. Both of these facts were wonderful to behold and Ryo had some hope for their current job. However the hope and elation that Ryo felt was quickly dashed to pieces when he saw the rage that filled Frederick's eyes and the fact that he shoved him aside and went on a rampage firing off a dark blast that took out a supporting wall. Ryo's heart sank as he realized what had happened and what must be going through this powerful mage's mind and heart.

There was a small benefit to this however as it caused a great distraction as the Matriarch watched the destructive power of the dark mage she had trying to convert to her side. Now more than ever she was furious at Ryo for interuptting her and her plan. She glared death at Ryo and made a move, but this caused her to become a more plausible target for not only Ryo's clone, but also his beasts. The Great Dragon made of cards surged forward to bite at her, but she was quicker. However she was unable to see the Tiger lunging at her from behind and it dragged it's claws down one of her arms. She let out an ear shattering scream and slapped the Tiger causing it to burst into the cards that had formed it. Now no longer distracted she returned her focus to Ryo's clone and the Dragon that were baring down on her with their attacks.

This was irrelivant to Ryo at the moment for the second beam took out more of the support and Ryo had, had enough. He stepped in front of Frederick and slapped him his eyes filled with magic aura as he was now enraged "Look Frederick we will kill her! We will destroy this blasted place if that'll make you happy! But not while we are in it! Think you great idiot! She's made you a fool! Our only hope of beating her is to keep our heads?! Do you want to play into her hands!? Then take a chill pill and think! You're such a powerful wizard you couldn't have gotten so strong without a brain! Use it!" He bellowed his whole form, face, and demeanor changed completely from the relaxed easy going appearance it had before. He shook his head as he stepped out from in front of the dark mage still speaking "Now if you want to destroy this building then let's leave it so we can do that! If we blow it up it'll force her outside where she will become weaker in the daylight. However if you wish to continue fighting her inside this building then do so using your brain." he said before he turned around to see his Card Dragon burst into the cards that had made it up and sighed "Well so much for that..."

'Don't you dare to lec...'

Frederick shouted back angrily but wasn't even able to get a word in. Since Ryo was on a full blown tirade. Lecturing him on his foolish behavior that could've get them both killed. At some point, Ryo diminished his own anger, returning his state of being of that of a more calm man again. His voice, returning to that it was before, while suggesting the choice of destroying the building or try finding her inside.

Yet Frederick was a petty man sometimes, and just responded with a vile comment. Unable to admit he was at fault here, this entire time. His entire aura however did diminish, showing that the man in front of him had managed to reach Fredericks more logical sense.

'Tch fine! Let's try to find a way out of here... but never shout at me again, or next time I'll rip out your throat!'

Now back to his former self, with his own aura almost invisible again. Frederick actually took the time time to take a quick look around. Sure his plan to destroy this entire complex wasn't such a bad idea, in fact they probably would've been better off if they did that from the start. However Frederick hadn't realized it before, the distance between them and the actual building above. Was to big to just jump up.
Meaning that they were stuck in the bowels of his the vampires den, without no clear way to get out.

'....'

Fredericks face said it all, as Ryo probably noticed it as well. If they weren't in enemy territory before, then they surely would've been now. Just by the glimpse of it, these tunnels, were even darker then the guild hall above. And not to mention the possible size of its network, hell in an area such as this one could never know what would lay around the corner. More hounds, hordes of thralls or worse.

But this wasn't the time for such distractions, the battle with the vampire matriarch was still raging on. And with Ryo's Card Dragon now out of the picture, she was once again focussing her attention on the two Sabertooth mages. Who because of their small infighting were more vulnerable then ever.
Forcing Frederick to realize something that he would never admit, he needed Ryo's help to defeat this creature. Probably as much as he needed his.

It was an hard thing to admit to one self, and probably even harder to say out loud. So thats why Frederick only gave Ryo a look when his gaze returned from the monster shredding the dragon to shreds. A look that basically says 'Fine, you're right. Let's finish this now'

Ryo sighed in relief as Frederick seemed to come to his senses. He didn't need to fight both his ally and a vampire matriarch. His card dragon and tiger were both gone now , and that left him with his clone and Frederick. It wasn't the worst odds imaginable, but at least he was able to get through to his partner. He glanced at his partner knowing full well what conclusion they had both reached. They were trapped in the den of the vampire and there would be no easy way to get out of it, and they would be unable to leave while their target still lived Truly it was a very annoying, but also very problematic. Ryo hated playing games where the odds were so obviously stacked against him. It wasn't very good odds for him as a gambler.

Now to business however he wouldn't make Frederick say what his face clearly shouted. He looked to the matriarch who was still trying to disengage from his clone. She didn't seem to be having an easy go of it as one of it's cards hit her in the stomach. She doubled forward slightly from the blow of the card. It wasn't enough to stop her or slow her down for more than a moment or two, but it was a first step, and that was the important part. Ryo looked at Frederick with a smile that could almost qualify as wicked looking "Let's show this bitch what happens when you play with Sabertooth magi." with that his card wings spread open a bit more and he propelled himself towards the Vampire matriarch. From his wings made of cards shot forth ten cards five from each. His clone seemed to see it and he used his own wings to fly up out of the way. Of course this meant that the woman would know she was being attacked and she could act accordingly. In fact she quickly moved with a speed that Ryo could barely believe as she moved out of the way of his attack causing the cards to hit the walls. He cursed himself of not striking harder and faster, but now the real battle could begin.

Stats:

'Right!' while punching his fist in the palm of his other hand. As a sign to show that he was finally ready to deal with his enemy properly this time. The final and much need acknowledgement of Frederick that Ryo probably needed to hear.

As Ryo dashed off towards the Matriarch, who itself was still entangled with the clone. Frederick on the other hand would dash off toward the opposite direction. While tracking all the other players movement, especially that of the Matriarch. Who quickly anticipated Ryo's attack, as his clone quickly flew out of the way. Which resulted in a failure as Ryo's cards that were supposed to attack the vampire, hit the wall behind her.

However, unknown to her Frederick had also geared up during this time. Because when Ryo went straight forward the vampire. Frederick had summoned his black aura and started his Vile Movement. Which was his own answer to the quick or flash step that so many other mages used. And as he tracked the vampires movement, which indeed used a surprising force of speed to move out of harms way. He could still anticipate were she would land.

In that instant Frederick, pushed himself forwards tot he anticipated spot. To intercept the Matriarch and meet her from behind.
With his fist engulfed with the dark mass that was so familiar to him, he struck out to her. Just a split of second after her feet touched the ground again. In that moment his fist landed from above onto the vampires shoulder blade, punching her downwards into the ground.

But it didn't end there, in that same moment Frederick had gathered enough magical power in other hand. To create a thick black pillar of magic power, that he shot and beamed toward the vampire. That hadn't even directly landed yet. Only instead of down, he aimed this power directly straight forwards. Hitting her in the lower back as she was being propelled forwards by the sheer force of Frederick's sudden attack.

Only to come to a crashing halt in the very wall, that had met with Ryo's cards earlier.

Yet when the Matriarch landed into the wall, it seemed that the entire building and its cavern system. Resonated with its mistress pain. And from out the depths Frederick hear in the distant the scuffling of feat, and the angry screams of the dark inhabitants. Instantly coming for their Matriarchs aid

'Monster Dice' :

Ryo smiled as he had finally finished getting Frederick around to focusing on the real task at hand which was dealing with the mistress of these undead bastards. Still he wasn't entirely sure how they would do that, but he was completely caught off guard by the amazing show of talent and power that Frederick displayed. Truly there was a reason why Frederick had been a guild master, and was an S rank mage inside Sabertooth guild. His magic was impressive, but Ryo wasn't one to be shown up. He and his clone were about to get back into the fray when they both heard the scuffling of the footsteps and knew that there would be trouble.

Ryo turned face the hole that had been created in the cavern and pulled up a fire card throwing it down the hallway and when it stuck it began to burn softly illuminating the cavern enough for Ryo to see the unwelcome guests. There were plenty of them, and Ryo knew he couldn't take them alone, but luckily he had his clone at least for a bit longer. Still he wasn't entirely sure if he and his clone could handle all of the foes themselves, but still he would do it or die trying. He looked to the coming shadow beasts and fron his wings shot out ten playing cards. Between the beasts and their vampire masters all of the cards hit something, but Ryo wasn't done yet. He pulled up two hands full of cards throwing them at the group of the shadow beasts. These cards burst into flame and struck several of the beasts burning them and sticking to them. It would prove to be useful for another time. He wasn't finished there however as he pulled up more cards to cast yet another spell. This spell however was a much stronger one. This spell came from a spell circle and 18 bolt of lightning surged through the crowds each one striking one of the vampires and halting them a little bit, a couple of unlucky undead were struck by two and were stunned by the elemental force.

Of course it wasn't all that much and the unholy monsters still came at the Card Mage, and it seemed he would be overwhelmed until his clone burst in and began to throw playing cards at the unholy monsters beating back the shadow beasts. Of course this was only a distraction, and wasn't enough to stop one bold Vampire from leaping out towards Ryo. The undead attacked Ryo with his great claws, but the card mage was faster. He avoided the attack and plunged the knife that he had been given at the start of the job into the Vampire's chest. He pulled back and stabbed into the vampire again, and again fear of being injured, and the adrenaline that was rushing through him fueled him into this rage and speed.

When the vampire suddenly burst into ash Ryo and his clone jumped back and stood there looking at their foes as the small dancing flame. Ryo wasn't worried about him however, and instead worried about his friend and comrade Frederick. Still he faced a rather substantial force.

Stats and Spells:

The hive, or vampires den. Seems to be resonating with the matriarchs anger, as screams bellowed through the deep dark tunnels. Awakening every being that might be slumbering in these dark depths.

And even before he knew it, the vile creatures were already upon them. Their feet scuffling the ground, their claws scratching the very walls they were crawling on. And just like you would see cockroaches emerge in a horror movie, so did the vampires. As they crawled out of the tunnel from every direction. Gravity even didn't seem to apply to them as they even used the ceiling to advance.

Luckily for Frederick, Ryo had already took the opportunity to greet these horrors properly. And had launched his assault without hesitation. Or better said Ryo's as his clone was still there to join him in his endeavors.

Frederick on the other hand was still facing the Matriarch, that even though it was send flying into the nearest wall, still seemed to be unscathed for the most part. Yet because of it was angered and started to show it's real self. Cracks on her face, slowly tore apart the human face she apparently wore as a disguise. And slowly revealed her real monstrous appearance.
Skin as grey as ash, eyes blackened, teeth that could only befit an animal. Her head deformed into a far more beast like appearance. And her strength increasing as she clawed her way out of the impact hole.
No Frederick and Ryo were far from finished, as the matriarch only now started to become serious as well.

Slowly Frederick backed up a little, as he felt the immense power this creature possessed. It was no wonder why this job was labeled as such a high classed one, as he now started to realize the strength of this creature.

Frederick backed up some more, until he was close enough to Ryo. Whom situation Frederick quickly assessed by throwing a look over his shoulder. For now he was still holding his own against the horde, even managed to stun a lot of the creatures, and even eradicated one of them already. Yet with the Matriarch on the other side, planning god knows what with them. And the Horde on Ryo's side of the grotto. The situation became rather dire.

'Ryo..' he said slowly, hoping he realized their disadvantage as well 'do you think you can cleave us a through that horde?'

If they could fight their way out of this hell hole, and take the fight to a larger area, maybe even outside. Were Frederick and Ryo truly could go all out, the odds would certainly be more in their favor. However for that to work, they had to held off the Matriarch while one of them would bash through the enemies forces.

Ryo's wings shot out ten more cards and hit more of the shadow beats and vampires in general. Thankfully Ryo had seriously injured two vampires, and several shadow beasts even taken a few of them out entirely. That was the best win he could have at the moment. He looked at his clone and then smirked softly. He knew that it wouldn't last much longer. He nodded his head lightly smiling " Go ahead. You aren't going to be around much longer I'm afraid. Take at least one of these damned monsters with you when you go. I have to recover something from your use." with that his clone moved and lunged forward tackling one of the vampire fledglings holding onto it as tightly as he was allowed to.

After a few moments a shadow beast lunged for the clone. No sooner had it started then the clone exploded sending sharp cards and fire out in a five meter radius. it managed to hit the shadow beast that had lunged for it, and also one other beast who was unfortunate enough to be far too close. Ryo glanced back as he saw Frederick coming closer to him, and as was finally close enough to speak to Ryo heard what he was saying as he slowly picked up two cards from the many that floated in front of him "Well my friend I am capable of creating something rather grand. I have managed to injure all but one of these damned vampire lackies, but i'm afraid my method is explosive. Still it will solve most of our problems. As soon as it is done we must be ready to run. We can't keep fighting in this den. The mistress will follow us if we were to move. We've caused her to become that. Now get ready."

He smirked and licked his lips slowly as he picked up new cards adding them together with the cards for the other spell "Spell fusion. Flaming Nuke!" he threw the four cards and they all sailed towards the horde that had come through the wall. Then suddenly a brilliant flash of light happened and all the air seemed to be pulled to the epicenter of the group of undead. Then with a thunderous boom a giant explosion of fire filled 35 meters with flames burning stone, metal, skin, bone, everything. The smoke became as a mushroom cloud. Still Ryo spread his wings and used himself to keep the debris that was shot forward from the spell from hitting Frederick. None of the undead were left standing, but Ryo glanced to Frederick smiling "Let's go. We need to get out." he said as he began to flap his wings going upwards towards the hole they had originally come down in. As he reached the floor however he was panting heavily his wings looking droopy, and all in all he looked quite ragged. He had used much of his mana for that spell and now he was running low on it. Still he had to maintain the fight

Spells, and Stats:

The very foundations trembled, as Ryo's attack exploded in a fiery explosion. Burning everything to a smoldering crisp in it's nearest vicinities. It was so powerful that Frederick still had use his own cloak a bit to shield himself from the sheer heat, even though he was standing with Ryo on a safe enough distant.
What was left in the aftermath was nothing more then the remaining smoldering corpses of the once so vicious vampires. And an equally impressed Frederick. 'So this is his real power huh..'

Spreading his card made wings once again, Ryo dashed off towards the hole in the ceiling. They very hole Frederick had tumbled down from into the unground caverns. Which was off course the fastest way to get out.
Throwing a look over his own shoulder, Frederick quickly gazed upon their enemy again. Who now finally had clawed herself out entirely, while undergoing a slight transformation. Or better yet revealed her true self. The Matriarch surely looked far more malicious then she ever did before, if not maybe even stronger as well.

'Right... Let's move then'

Thanks to the combination of his 'Vile Movement' which allowed him to reach certain speeds he couldn't normally do. In fact this was his answer to the flash step many other mages seemed to use. And his other ability 'Dark Affinity', Frederick could now do something he couldn't do before. Which was actually reaching the top of the hole itself.

He dashed off towards the nearest wall, which he used as a stepping stone upwards by combining speed the moment he reached it. Which would land him several meters high in the air. From that point on it was his Dark Affinity that would do the work. A magic that allowed Frederick to embody his darkness and form shapes with it. Which mostly he used only for attack patterns, like beams or waves of raw blackness. Or spheres even to shoot at the enemy. However it could also be used to form something more helpful.
Like right now, the moment he was in the air, from out his left arm a thick tendril would shout out and grapple high into the walls itself. From that point it was basically a slingshot. Combing with his current speed, all Frederick had to do was pull himself forwards through the tendril. And release the grip as a soon as he passed the grappled point.

And voila, with ease he reached the levels above. Landing next to Ryo only a tad less elegant. The moment he did however, was the same moment the Matriarch noticed their sudden absence, and would let out another deafening scream that bellowed through the entire complex. 'Ah.. we'd better get moving'

Ryo panted slightly as he stood up and gently began to fan himself off with his hat. It was truly a rock and a hard place for him. As he put it back on Frederick came up and joined him and he smiled nodding his head lightly "Once again you show your amazing strength. I am glad that it is you in here with me. I don't think anyone else would've been able to watch my back and keep me from dying as well as you have." he said laughing softly as he tried to up-sell his ragged appearance hoping his comrade wouldn't pick up on his deceptive display and think less of him.

His laugh was cut short as he heard the scream coming from bellow he turned and looked at Frederick entirely serious "We need to make it back to the atrium while luring this vile creature with us. If we are able to accomplish that we can collapse the roof of it on her and hopefully some walls and maybe let a little bit of the sun light. It should be nearly dark, but there may still be an hour of light left. That is our only chance. Down here in the dark she is queen for a reason." He then smiled softly "However did you notice her necklace? She is rather proud of that pendant she stole from our client. Now this next bit will be a lot of fun, better be ready to move." He turned and screamed into the hole "Come on you ugly hag! I thought you were something worth fearing, but instead all I see is an old, Ugly, hag!"

The scream that followed next would've chilled the soul of those who weren't on par with the two magi and Ryo smirked as he spread his wings once more and began to fly down the corridors heading back to the foyer where they had entered. It wouldn't take them long to get there of course, but as soon as Ryo touched down his wings suddenly shattered the cards flowing into his clothes anyway they could get in. He sighed and shook his head as he felt a bit of his magic start to flow back into him thanks to his hat "Well...it appears that my ace in the whole was spent...damn it...." he said softly as he jumped back putting his back to the door as he drew both of his hands full of cards before letting them float due to the power of his gloves.

OOC:

'Wait?!! thats your plan!!!!'

Surprised or maybe even dumbfounded Frederick shouted out his words when he saw Ryo's plan set in motion. That strangely enough started with him shouting down the hole, angering the queen of the night even more. As if she wasn't already angry enough.

Almost instantly following the insults his comrade had thrown down, was a high pitched scream. So angry that it even send chills down Fredericks bones

'This is by far the most-!!'

Before Frederick could even finish his sentence, he already witnessed the back of Ryo. Slowly getting smaller and quickly disappearing into the darkness of the shadowy hall ways.
Another high pitched scream followed, this time even louder. Which obviously showed that the matriarch was getting closer. And also a clear sign that Frederick as well should make haste.

With his own equivalent of a speed force, Frederick eventually caught up with Ryo. Well not entirely as his movement of flight, was significantly faster then his. But still close enough to keep up with him at least. But when Frederick reached he also noticed where they were going, through the dark corridors. Ryo was heading towards the foyer, the same place they had enter the forsaken guild. To navigate that easily through the halls, meant that the man had a great natural sense of direction.

When Ryo actually reached the very door they came through, Frederick finally understood what he was up to. The enraged vampire queen would sense where they are, and would follow them without a doubt. However the only obstacle was still on how to get her actually outside. As vampires weren't particular fond of the sun. So they needed to trick her, make themselves as the actual bait. And hopefully evade the queen just in time for her to crash through the door.

Quickly following Ryo's lead, Frederick pressed his back against the wall as well. And would let the darkness flow around him, engulf his fists and his very arms. While his partner pulled out a set of cards and have it float besides him.

'Ryo... this better work..'

Ryo tsked loudly as he looked at the cards he had available to him, and the spells he knew he could use. He was running short on Magical energy that much was clear, and he wasn’t sure how much more of this he could take. He glanced around looking for a plan in order to collapse this section of the guild hall, and expose the demon matriarch to the light of the setting sun. He turned and looked around trying to figure out what he could do. It didn’t take him long for him to hear the screams of the vampire woman in her deadly rage. Not too far along however was Frederick who came flying after him. He was fairly impressed with how fast his partner could move, but he wasn’t really going to expect anything less.

Now that he was here he heard his partner’s warnings and Ryo smiled as he looked to his partner shaking his head “Oh Ye of little faith. It’s actually quite simple why don’t you open up some large holes in the ceiling and the walls while I distract her with a fight. I am the one she wants to rip into little tiny pieces right now, and so I’ll take full advantage of that. While I engage her I think it best for you to use your amazing destructive potential to destroy the building and give her some very minor interference to give me a hand. I don’t have the spells or the mana at the moment in order to do this. Not to mention provide a grand battle on my own. Still I have the knife that our client gave me and a little something extra up my sleeve. Still I have to wait for some more of my mana to return while I throw my weak spells at her. I’m counting on you Frederick.” He said as he turned to face the hallway where the woman was coming from. He sighed as he looked at the cards he had now he was going to make a spell happen.

He quickly looked at the cards in his arsenal and he pulled out a few cards in specific and waited. As soon as the Vampire woman was visible he went into action. He threw the cards down and these cards shot up forming into spiked pillars of earth. These spikes were all aimed at the hallway trying to block It off from the Matriarch and keep her from them. It succeeded in slowing her down, but Ryo was sure she would breakthrough it very soon.

'You'd better try to avoid the falling debris then!'

Frederick shouted at Ryo's back, as the man stepped forwards.

At first Frederick urged to say something along the lines of stop being an hero, or don't be a fool. As they were already having trouble facing the Vampiric Queen with the both of them, at the same time. So going in there alone, was pretty much a giant risk. If not a death sentence, especially when reaching your own mana reserves.

Frederick still had to wait though, he couldn't just pierce holes in the roof above them right away. No the plan was to lure the Queen as far in as Ryo could, so that eventually they could trap her with several rays of sunshine. Or at least make it fairly more difficult for her to move.

The the moment was there, with a wrath unlike any other, she crashed through the doors and into the main hall of the abandoned guild. Her scream deafening, her look.. deadly. She stood there for a mere moment, glaring down at Ryo. Who stood in the midst of the vast and empty room. Alone, while Frederick himself was still behind him, hidden by a layer of impenetrable shadows.

She bellowed out another scream, right before she gave chase at Frederick's partner. These were some long moments for Frederick, as the vampire matriarch was slowly but certain reeled in by Ryo. But when the moment finally appeared, he was ready.

Out of nowhere his voice bellowed through the empty hallway, while also swinging his right arm wide open. 'DARK VOID!!!'

All around him, black purple colored pentacles appeared. Slightly tilted so that they would aim towards the roof above their heads. And from it, beams of an equally black color would be shot upwards. Devastating the very building. Some shot through supporting woodworks, that held the roof in one place. Others just shot right through, punching a clean hole above them.

When the barrage was finally done, several rays of light started to pierce through the impenetrable darkness and illuminate the area around Ryo and the Queen.

Stats:

Ryo stood there carefully getting his surprise attack ready, but he knew that this would be a very serious blow, and he would have to be very careful with how he approached her. Still she wasn’t going to waste near as much time as she surged towards him. He rolled his eyes and did just the same thing slamming into her with as much force as he could muster. This did catch her a bit by surprise and he held onto her stabbing her in the back with the silver dagger that he had been given when they met with their client. Of course, this wasn’t the best idea as it now put him within her reach and she took full advantage of it. She stabbed her clawed hand into his side smirking “Thank you for saving me the trouble of trying to catch you, filthy little man. I’ll take my time ripping you apart.” She promised in a lovely and horrifying tone.

This is when the light filled the room and Ryo grunted as he pushed her into the light as best he could barely avoiding a piece of ceiling that came crashing down where the pair had once been standing. Now they were in a shaft of the light and Ryo took the time as the vampire was screaming a horrific scream of agony to stab her in the leg with the knife again. She hissed and threw him from her causing him to slam into an opposite wall. She pointed at him and Ryo felt his body harden he was now immobilized. The vampire matriarch took the time to step out of the light hissing as she was clearly injured. She hissed at Ryo slowly stalking towards him knowing that he couldn’t escape “you vile worm! How dare you ruin my body with wounds! I shall enjoy ripping you apart and feeding your little pieces to my beasts!” She shrieked.

Ryo groaned lightly as he continued to try and will his body to move, but to no effect “You w-won’t get the chance you vile murdering hag…You’ll be dead before the night falls!” he coughed as he tried to sound brave. Still he was in a pickle he only hoped that Frederick could handle her now that she was wounded. Thankfully Ryo’s knife was still in the woman’s leg and it was having some effect on her ability to move.

OOC:

Like a well practiced choreography of a dance duo, Frederick immediately jumped into action when the Queen pulled out yet another trick. This time in from of some sort of invisible bindings, that seemed to trap Ryo right where he was standing. It wasn't some sort of petrification, not a paralyzation either, as Ryo was still standing. It was more as if the man suddenly became trapped inside his own being. Whatever it was, it meant he was in trouble, and an much easier target for the time being.

The Queen however wounded was still strong, and threw herself towards the stunned Ryo, using her remaining leg that wasn't hurt to push herself off. And in that same instant Frederick threw his arm towards Ryo, like he would try to grab him. If it wasn't for the fact that he was at the other side of the room. No instead a black pentacle appeared in the palm of his hand while he bellowed through the hall itself.

'Ultimate Defense! Darkness!'

In that same moment a black barrier all the way from the ground rose up in front of Ryo. Acting as a large shield, to protect the card mage from the enraged queen. Even though it's black colored coating, it was still transparent, giving Ryo the chance to see the vampire crash into the barrier.
The next scene that would unfold in front of his partner, was Frederick who used the momentarily opportunity of the Queen coming to a crashing standstill by crashing into her herself. Using the speed boost of his own Vile Movement, he had thrown himself shoulder first into the unexacting vampire. And shoving her away from Ryo.

Without breaking his eyes apart from the Queen, Frederick would regained his own footing. While the black vapors that was his aura emitted from all over his body. 'You alright?' Frederick inquired in the small moment of peace they just gained. 'I'll keep her off you now, when you are free.. think you can pull out the dagger?'

Ryo grunted in pain trembling as he tried to force his body to move, but for some reason, he was still paralyzed from whatever ability the Vampire Mistress had. He couldn’t move, he couldn’t fight back so as the Mistress charged him he smiled softly in his mind he man an apology to Ian, and to Gora about the fact that he wouldn’t be returning home. It wasn’t going to be what he wanted for his life, but this was still how it was going to end for him. Well, that is what he thought until he looked at the Mistress who had slammed into something that held fast keeping her from him. It was far too much for him he thought he was dead, he had fully planned to be dead, but here he was alive by some miracle.

He vaguely recalled something about hearing Frederick’s words, but that wasn’t all that important to him at this moment in time. What was, was the fact that despite being unable to move, despite being seriously wounded he was alive and he would be able to return home so long as he made sure to keep himself alive. Ryo looked up at Frederick smiling slightly nodding his head “I-I’ve been better…Still I’m alive so that’s something.” He said as he looked to the Mistress trying to nod his head, but being unable to “Yeah…I just need to be able to move again…If I can move then I can get that dagger. I have something special attached to it. “ he said with a smirk. Sure enough wrapped around the handle of the dagger was an ace of spades tightly intertwined with the hilt of the blade the back of the card was black so it didn’t appear to actually be there, and that was what Ryo had fully intended when he modified the card.

He groaned as he tried to rise again but was unable to do so. The Mistress, however, recovered from the blow and licked her lips slowly “How dare you! You filthy little wretch! I offered you power! I offered you the chance to be someone! You threw it away. Now you stand between me and my dinner! I’m going to enjoy ending you!” she shrieked as she pointed at both Frederick and Ryo. If Frederick had any wounds then they would open up and start to bleed far more severely, but Ryo was worse off yet. He coughed up blood as his wound was bleeding far more than it had been a moment ago. His blood was seeping through his clothes much faster than it had been.

A surge of pain was being shot through his right arm, and Frederick couldn't help himself to grab it for a moment. When he did, he suddenly could feel the warm sensation of some sort of liquid, that dripped form that very arm and drenched his entire sleeve. It took Frederick a second before he'd actually realized that it was his very own blood that was pouring down like a river.

But not only his arm was suddenly ripping open, a wound on his back. He'd probably received earlier when the vampire queen had thrown him against some wall or something. Was also surging with pain, as it pour blood like a waterfall.

'This bitch!...' grunted Frederick in pain

With one fell swoop, Frederick ripped off the cloak that he always cowled himself in. As the blood that poured from his own back, was also drenching the expensive piece of cloth. Making it heavier and weighing down on the dark clad mage.

'I'll make sure I am going to beat that pretty little face of yours into a bloody pulp!'

Angering the vampiric queen even more, Frederick tried to make sure her anger would now focus only on him. As his comrade was trapped in the hellish constraints the she had put on him, as while as buying any time he could.

Frederick dashed forwards, his hair partially fluttering behind him. His one hand, the one with the damage arm, clenched into a fist and engulfed with a layer of darkness. His other arm, partially hanging behind him as he ran, materialized a long black extension like a whip.
Then, right in front of the queen, Frederick threw that arm forwards aimed at the queen. Who obviously saw the very attack coming, as the whip wasn't so much as a surprise.
So when Frederick lunged forwards, aiming the lash of the whip at his opponent. The Queen moved aside, and rushed for the mage as well. 'You're mine now!!!' she screamed unaware of what was to come.

As the queen suddenly was close enough, Frederick would thrust his other fist forwards. The one with the hand clenched into a fist. A punch the queen straight in her stomach. While also following up with a blast of his very own magic. Sending her up into the air.

'Heh.. that all you got' he taunted after his attack,

Ryo watched what was happening with baited breath, and he was very, very concerned for his partner. He wanted to move, demanded his body to move, but it was still no good. At least for a moment. He could suddenly feel his arms and legs again; he could feel the wound he had been inflicted with. He was in absolute agony, and he didn’t know how to fix himself, but he knew that he would improvise. His first order of business was to keep himself from bleeding out. That would be a very simple matter. He quickly reached into his elements deck box and ripped his shirt open to see the wound. It was bleeding a lot, and there wasn’t going to be much time. He inhaled as he pulled out two fire elemental cards lighting them up with his magic. He could control if they burned him or not, and he would need them to do that now. So he placed both of them on the open wound. Upon doing so his skin boiled, and burned the scent filling the room. He grunted in agony hissing and squirming as he cauterized the wound shut. It would be a very temporary fix, but that was alright so long as it was fixed.

He didn’t stop there though as he pulled out playing cards and placed them on the wound using his magic to warp them and change them until they became a bandage. This would ensure that if the wound did open once more then he wouldn’t bleed out, and he wouldn’t die on the spot. It was the best he could do, and now he couldn’t rest on his laurels any longer. He had to get things done. He slowly rose to his feet inhaling at the sharp pain, but it wasn’t enough to stall him for very long. As soon as he was ready he flexed himself rushing and wincing all the while as he made his way to both the Vampire Mistress and his comrade. He was fast enough to close the distance, and as she rushed into Frederick’s fist Ryo managed to get on the side where his knife was using his gloves Pectokenisis to bring the dagger to him. This only further distracted the Vampire making sure that she wouldn’t be able to defend herself from the attack.

Of course Ryo didn’t know what was coming, but it was always the best strategy to never be in front of an opponent with an enemy to deal with. So by the time Frederick had punched her Ryo had rolled away, and was already moving around behind the wizard smiling as he sent her flying. “Well, now we can take her together properly.” He said grabbing the spot where his wound was wincing from the pain “Her death will be satisfying.” he said as he readied the knife he was holding.
