Raven kept nodding, listening to Kiersa’s plan as she ignored the growing heavy feeling in the pits of her stomach. Something just didn’t feel right. Something was going to go wrong. She just had that feeling.

Shaking her head to rid herself of the terrible thoughts, Raven looked ahead as Kiersa managed to trap one of the enemies while the water dragon roar and flame demon’s rage got deflected all of a sudden. She stood there with her eyes open for a long time as she tried to find a suitable explanation to what she just witnessed.

However, what happened next left her wide eyed and speechless. Something was winding its ugly hands around her as she watched the injured Mary. Fear, was it? She wondered looking down at her trembling hands. She couldn’t believe that Mary got hit in one of her eyes. She dashed to her side first, breaking free from the invisible chains that held her down. It was an old feeling, Raven realized. She regretted the visit of this old friend called fear that she abandoned a long time ago.

She stopped close to Mary just as Cirven had and heard her speak but shook her head as she looked at Kiersa to help Mary. “Kiersa, you should help Mary somehow. I will go help Cirven along with Aayla,” she quickly breathed out as she turned around to see Cirven dealing the final blow on one of them while another stood still affected by Kiersa’s spell. That left the strange man with the deflective powers and another one of his lackeys.

Closing her eyes, she took a few seconds to get into her royal form, a crown and a complete change in outfit indicated that she was drawing the ancient power of her ancestors. Two red pools glowed in the still dark as she found Cirven engaged in battle with the crystal mage.

She took one step, another and then quick steps with the help of her ring’s passive ability to gain speed. As she neared the other one trying to charge at Cirven while he was busy, Raven jumped forward, elegantly rotating with her raven sword out towards her opponent twice, dealing twice the damage in one motion. As he fell with a scream, she landed right next to Cirven and the Crystal mage, swinging her sword only to have him evade it by swiftly moving away from Cirven.

“Alright. Let’s take him out too”.

    Spoiler:

Kiersa had to bite back the retort she had been about to give Mary with the information, but something was nagging at her. If it only deflects fire and water... why was Penitent affected? It was then that the notion came to her. "No... not fire Mary... Light! Light and Water!" she exclaimed, releasing her hold on the defeated grunt, fumbling for her Keys. Given her blinded state due to Penitent, she had to rely on sense of touch before she found the one she could summon. "Open the Gate of the Goat! Capricorn!" she called forth, the Celestial Spirit of the Twelve Zodiacs appearing forth with the chime of a clock.

He took one look at the situation before nodding, Kiersa's desires remaining unspoken as he dashed forwards towards the Crystal Mage who was now duelling Cirven and Raven, aiming to slam a fast punch into the man's head whilst bringing a knee up towards their gut. The Crystal Mage doubled over, holding their face as their nose had been broken with the Goat's attack. The Goat Spirit then slammed his elbow into the back of the Crystal Mage's neck, knocking them out before going back over to his young Summoner and helping her up. "What's going on?" she asked of him. "The enemy is down, but it would appear that young Miss Aayla is encased within a large crystal." he said, Kiersa's bloodstained eyes widening before she felt around trying to find the prison, Capricorn guiding her towards it.

She felt about the crystal, tapping away. "I read that crystals have a breaking point... so if we find it..." said the nun, trying to reassure the Water Dragon Slayer trapped inside. Kiersa tapped some more before finding the spot. "Capricorn sir..." she asked of the Zodiac Spirit who nodded. "Step back." he said, addressing everyone. Once they were all a decent enough distance, the Spirit slammed a fist into the point that Kiersa had found, shattering the prison. "Are you alright Miss Aayla?" the butler goat asked of the blue-haired girl.

Aayla brought her hands over her ear as Mary came crashing into the crystal, creating some nice big cracks into her prison before stepping out in front of it and taking what she could barely make out as an arrow to the eye.

    "MARY!"
She yelled out instinctively, slamming her fists against the crystal in a vain attempt to get free. She even attempted using magic to get out, but the more magic she began to use, the weaker she felt. The crystal was absorbing all of her water, which also meant it was slowly absorbing her body. She grit he teeth as she fell to her knes, still doing her best to bang against the cracks.

It wasn't until Kiersa and Capricorn had come over to create a whole through the crystal did the girl stop to look up at her partner. She smiled softly before pushing herself back up, taking Capricorn's hand to help herself out of the hole created by the goat man.

    "Thank you Capricorn... thanks Kiersa..."
She said with a light blush, embarrased that she would even get stuck in a trap like that. She looked over to the others, barely able to see passed Aeries' pink fluff but she could just make out the forms of her brother, of Mary and the passed out treasure hunters on the ground.

"Do you think they found anything..?"
She asked the team as she walked up to the area everyone was just fighting. She looked at Mary quickly, wanting to go and help her btu then sharply looking ahead of her and without a word continued on ahead. She still hadn't forgiven the girl, even if she did protect her... it wasn't as if she was really putting her life in danger or anything.

She walked up to the fallen Crystal make mage and looked into the hole that they were digging. She could see a metal slab of what looked like a hidden door under all of the dirt and reached into the hole to pry it open.

Post by Mary Mahoney 6th November 2014, 4:14 pm

Mary was still on the ground with an arrow in her eye, not dead but her body went into shock. It was not as if each death made Mary's body more dulled to the pain, it was still the same. New body meant everything was fresh, including the nerves. It was all a new experience for her body and thus it made the pain more unbearable. Another thing Mary noticed that her blood was not red anymore, over the weeks it had been growing into a darker and darker color until it settled into pitch black. Another example of her inhumanity, but by now Mary was used to it. Used to the pain, used to the darkness and used to the fact that she was one of the Makers hated beings. As she laid there bleeding there was still a smile on her face. There was peace in the darkness, but it could change at any second. Those were not all of the bandits, but Mary was ready for them.

Mary felt the arrow in her shoulder and groaned, this was going to hurt so much. Mary grabbed the arrow and pulled it out in a single pull. Better to get the pain over sooner, but there was so much blood. So much pain. She then reached the arrow in her eye and turned around. This was going to be more physically gruesome. She turned to the darkness and pulled it out, this time she made a small gasping noise. Pain... was a reminder that despite her inhumanity she could still feel pain. In a way she partly understood Kiersa's magic now, endure pain for others. Mary stopped praying for the Maker, not because lack of faith. Mary just felt it was selfish to ask the Maker to watch over her when there were other people that need it more. She chuckled, realizing how silly that sounded.

Again though it seemed more like the path of the nun, the pacifist and healer was never going to settle right. There were other people like Kiersa that were better suited for the job. Instead she was more suited at hurting people. Mary knew what she had to do... The Rune Knights were right... Towa was right... All she could do was destroy, but she could at least destroy those that are evil. It was time to come clean.

"I got drafted to the Rune Knights. That is what has been on my mind lately. I leave in about a week to serve for 6 months minimum. It is just this and things that have occurred lately have put so much into perspective."

Post by Cirven 7th November 2014, 8:34 pm

Cirven was about to have a blade carve through him while he was in his predicament against the wall. He would have one option with beating the attack but that didn't matter at all after his teammate quickly dealt with the enemy charging him with her own blade. She had moved a lot faster than he had seen her move before before attacking and even now had a new look.

She then swung her blade at the crystal mage but missed as he let up on his deadlock on Cirven and dodged. "Thanks Raven!" He spoke out as he didn't waste much time in attacking the crystal mage back with his enhanced blade but the crystal mage was just as good with a blade as he was if not slightly better and managed to block, parry and dodge the multiple attacks he swung towards the man.

The crystal mage blocked another attack but this time Cirven slashed down his flaming blade so that the flames flowed down through the defenses to hit him and also shot out a shockwave of flames at point blank range. "Got you!" Cirven yelled out as the blast of flames sent the crystal mage flying back into a wall with a small explosion of white flames.

The crystal mage grunted as he slammed into the wall but still stood up on his feet. He then slashed his blade across the ground and upwards sending out a streak of sharp crystal towards Cirven. The crystal attack came fast and gave Cirven only enough time to try and block it which caused it to push him back and towards the wall behind him. Cirven was forced to jump out of the way of the attack but was still hit in his leg by the attack, though not as badly as it could have been.

"Tough guy, huh? Guess you won't mind me using a bigger attack then.." Cirven ran towards the crystal mage while building up a massive amount of flames over his body. The flames then all channeled into his arm as the crystal mage shaped a bow out of crystal and shot crystal arrows at Cirven. The blue-haired slayer was able to dodge the arrows by running sideways enough to where they never sunk into his body but they still came close.

Cirven then lifted his arm up and aimed it at his enemy. "Flame Demon's Wrath!" A beam of concentrated white flame shot out towards the crystal mage and slammed into him. Cirven was sent backwards from the use of the beam and flew out of the hole created from his sister's water blast earlier.

Cirven got up from the ground and came back through the hole in time to see Capricorn deal the finishing blows to the crystal mage. "You mean all that didn't deal with him but your attacks beat him?!" He yelled out as he watched the crystal mage be KO'ed.

He then looked to the side of the hole and saw that one of the weaker men from earlier was hiding there in fear. "Hey guys... I think we scared this one enough for questioning." Cirven stood over the fear filled man and made sure he didn't go anywhere.

“Yeah..You are welcome,” she replied before standing back, watching Cirven take care of the crystal mage. She was going to help him when she saw Capricorn dash past her and towards the fighting duo. “Well...that takes care of that,” she said rather emotionlessly as she turned back to see the trapped mage looking at them with wide eyes, his legs shaking. Shaking her head, she ignored him for the time being before going straight towards Mary.

She stood next to her sighing, not knowing what to do for the girl who was obviously going through emotional troubles. On top of all that...she was being recruited by the council. Raven won’t deny it but she had been an admirer of the council for a while. She had even wanted to be a rune knight. But, she held herself back because she knew she had more to do before making a move for the council.

She found Kuroe land next to her and looked back at the large bird that was looking at Mary as well. “Mary, just do what you think is right,” she advised as she helped the girl up. Mary would be ok, she knew that but she couldn’t help but be sorry for her friend as well. Kuroe took over from there as he came behind the celestial mage to wrap one of his wings around her, letting her lean back on him if she wants to.

With that Raven went back to see that Capricorn had dealt the final blow on the crystal mage and Aayla was looking down at something. She moved towards where Cirven was as he stood over the trapped mage. “S-Stay away from me! Your friend already found the treasure!” he cried, looking at Aayla who was standing curiously over where the hunters were digging.

"What can I say sir?" Capricorn asked as he looked over at Cirven, a slight smirk playing on his furry face. "Just needs the right touch." The nun groaned at her Spirit's attempt at humour. "Remind me to never let you and Cirven on your own..." she said, her sight returning to her now, although she wished she didn't see what she saw now. "Mary!" she cried out, watching as her friend pulled out arrows from all across her. "Oh Maker... Mary I'm sorry..." Kiersa tried to apologise for not healing her sooner before hearing what she had to say. "The Rune Knights? That's... not so bad is it right?" she asked, unsure how she should feel about Mary being drafted into the Council's personal magical army.

Kiersa went over to Mary and tried to give the girl a hug. "I'll miss you... You'll write won't you?" the nun asked her before blinking at the sound of the man's voice and remembering why exactly they were all here to begin with. "Oh! Right!" she exclaimed before looking Mary over. "Umm... anyone needing fixing up before we go further? In case there are more of them..." asked the nun as she looked around the group.

Cirven and Mary appeared to be the only ones injured, and so it was to them she went to. "Stigmata of Grace." she invoked, first over Mary's wounds, biting her lip as the wounds transferred from one nun to the other, her eyes bleeding out once more, before getting Capricorn to guide her towards Cirven. "Shut up. Not a word." she said when she got close to the Flame Demon Slayer, before he could try to vocally object. She knew he hated it whenever she used her magic, but use it she would. "Stigmata of Grace." she invoked once more, to heal Cirven's wounds, her body trembling as his injuries became her own.

Capricorn collected his young Summoner and held her in his arms as he regarded the group. "I will look after Miss Kiersa till she recovers." he informed the group, his tone not exactly one brokering any arguements. His ears twitched when Aayla opened the metal door. "Miss Aayla step back!" he called out.

Aayla simply pretended not to hear what Mary had said about the Rune Knights, what with them having been in the head of battle and all. She had also completely avoided talking about it by running straight for the hatch the treasure hunters were digging at, ignoring the last little guy who was trembling so bad he was almost crying.

She knew what it was to be afraid like that, and felt bad for him... however she couldn't let herself start feeling like this when it came to the enemy. This guy and his group were going to use the Wizards Saints treasure for dark purposes, and she couldn't let that happen.  As she finally got the hatch open, she heard Capricorns cry and instinctively went immaterial just as two bullets went soaring through her chest, embedding themselves into the wall.

'How many of these guys are there...'
She thought to herself as she spun around to face the man that had shot her and frowned as her body began to glow. Her wings emerged from her back while her hands covered themselves in tough tough Serpentine scales. The man that had shot her was still running towards her, pulling something from his belt as he attempted to place the explosive directly onto the girl. However, as Aayla leaped forward to close the gap between them she swiped at the bomb, tossing it out of the man's hands before using her left claw to cut across his chest. Just them however, another two treasure hunters came crawling through the now open door, both firing at Aayla, pelting her wings with constant gun fire.

    "Hey.... guys! Any time now..!"
She called out to her team as she drew her wings tightly around herself to protect herself from the onslaught of bullets from 2 of the TReasure hunters, while two more seemed to come out of no where and ran straight for the 'injured' party members.

Post by Mary Mahoney 17th November 2014, 1:12 am

Mary winced and turned slightly at the sight of Kiersa's eyes. It always pained her how much she had to sacrifice for a simple healing spell. Maybe it was a necessary process, but wasn't their love and devotion enough? Wasn't her actions enough? Wasn't the blood of those that defile the Maker enough? Mary could see from her eye that she was in pain every time she healed a wound. No person should have to go through that. Mary sighed, "I will make sure to write and it could be worse. I could be joining Savage Skull. I know its a position of honor and should be glad for joining, but I will always feel like it is not home. At least it is a place where I can defend those that I care about." Mary ruffled Kiersa's hair as she contemplated in silence, that nun has grown up so much. Mary smirked as she put her hat down and walked to the middle of the room.

Everything was going to be fine.

She looked up at the group in time to notice someone was about to shoot her. Mary was about to pull out her guns, but it seemed like everyone forgot about Aries. She was so shy and quiet that Mary had completely forgotten about her! From out of nowhere a ball of black wool came from nowhere and detonated. However while the ball of wool did hurt them, the bandits seemed to be lulled into a pacified state and did not want to attack. Mary smiled, "Good job Aries! And whatever you do, don't apologize!" Mary was trying to get the sheep girl to stop being so apologetic all the time, but that was an uphill battle. Mary looked at the still black wall of wool that was made earlier and had an idea for later...

OOC: 2 gunman attacking injured party take C-rank and is pacified.

Cirven was half surprised the man gave up the information they wanted without them even throwing threats around. A part of him wanted some practice in being more intimidating but that chance was stripped from his hands by the cornered man. "That was fast. Thought you would at least have some sort of pride to keep your mouth shut. Was looking forward to scaring you some. Oh well.."

Cirven raised his flaming blade up and started to swing it down towards the man. A shrill of fear escaped the man and he went limp as he fainted. Cirven called the form of his blade off in mid-swing and stopped it just before hitting the man. He sighed and shook his head. "Guess I should be happy that I scared him enough for him to faint. Some sort of accomplishment there."

He was about to place his weapon in its sheath but stopped as Kiersa came to him instantly telling him to shut up and healing his wounds. He grunted as he saw her pain filled face. "Idiot... Stop taking all the weight on your own shoulders. I learned this just for helping you."

Cirven focused a mass of his white flames over the blade of the Kukan causing a total of ten flaming blades to form around him as it let off a bright white light, five on each side. The light stopped shining and shown that the blade he held had changed into one made of pure white flame. "Yo goat, let me help her. By the way don't panic and go help them with the fighting if you want. I will help Snow White here." One of the flaming blades that was floating around him moved towards Kiersa and slashed down onto her. No pain would be felt though after the blade hit her but she would feel a soothing rush over her as the injuries she had sustained healed up.

"Feel any better?" He grinned and looked at Kiersa seeing that her wounds had been healed by his blade. His attention was not on the enemies at all but helping his friend.

    Stats/Cooldowns/Passives/Durations:

OOC: Kiersa is healed by 15% and her wounds are healed due to my blade form's healing ability.

Holy Tempest tracks down the hunter - Page 2 Empty Re: Holy Tempest tracks down the hunter

Raven turned in time to see two other hunters come out from where Aayla was. Running her eyes all over the place, she found Kiersa in Capricorn’s hands, Cirven next to her and trying to heal her and Mary was still on the ground trying to reach for her guns while they were all protected by Aries’ wool. Overall, the situation wasn’t so bad if they ignored Mary’s condition. Most of them could still fight and the two other hunters that showed up didn’t look as bad as the crystal mage they had to take on.

Moving towards Aayla, she drew her sword once again before swinging at one of the hunters that rushed towards her with what looked like an iron rod. He swung it at her the same time she swung her sword though he was aiming for her face when Raven was just trying to have him faint. She avoided it by crouching down but it was too late to draw her sword back and she found it pushed further deep his hips. The hunter fell with a loud cry as Raven moved away.

Looking at the blood covered blade with hate, she turned her face away at the memories that rushed through her all at once. The thought of her whole race dead was not what she wanted right then. With shaking hands, she drew the sword to a fighting position once more. Every time she looked at the hesitant men in front her, the picture of her fallen people invaded her.

They must have seen it as some sort of fear on her side because they were both rushing towards her with their weapons held up. Gritting her teeth, Raven tried to move her arms but was shocked when she couldn’t move them at all.

Kiersa felt something plunge into her, and though there was no pain, the impact still made her gasp before its effects were felt throughout her body. She still could not see due to the Stigmata's effects, but she could feel the wounds she had taken on for her comrades healing and sealing themselves. Capricorn eyed the Flame Demon Slayer warily before laying Kiersa down before him, and looked over the current combat situation. He saw that Raven appeared to be... hesitant to continue the fight, dangerously so as the men were rushing her.

The Goat immediately blitzed towards them, getting between them and the young miss. The Celestial Spirit's apparently sudden appearance gave the two men a brief pause and stumble in their stride. It was enough of a moment for Capricorn to flip his body so that he was on his hands before he then spun on the spot with his legs, his hooves catching each of them across their jaws. He followed up by flipping back to an upright position, and slamming a fist into each of their guts, continuing his assault with a severe cross chop to both of their necks when they doubled over winded.

The pair went down like a ton of bricks, the Goat Spirit's only reaction was to now brush off his suit before he walked back to Raven. "Are you alright Miss Raven?" the Celestial Spirit of the Goat asked before providing a large piece of cloth from inside his suit. "To clean the blade Miss." he explained before returning to Kiersa's side. "I must be away now young Miss. Good luck in the rest of this endeavour." he said to his Summoner before regarding Cirven with a wary eye behind the glasses. He gave the man a curt nod before dissipating into stardust as he returned to the Celestial Realm.

The blonde nun tried to stand herself up, groaning as she held her head. The wounds may have healed, but her body was still going through the aftermath of not only the healing, but also the amount of blood she'd lost in doing so. "Is... is everyone alright?" she called out, biting her lip as she tried to discern if the fighting was truly over this time, and they could ensure that everything was alright and where it should be.

When the sudden hail of bullet fire ceased, Aayla opened up her wings so fast that blades of air shot out from them and crashed into the remaining gun mage, forcing him into the side of the cave as he was directly hit by both blades. He couldn’t help but gasp out loudly as the wind was knocked out of him, and he passed out as soon as his head crashed against the stone. Aayla let out a relieved sigh as her wings disappeared in a golden light, as did her claws.

    “Thanks Raven… you too Aeries.”
She said kindly to the spirit even though she couldn’t properly see her through the cotton. She had no qualms against the Zodiac spirit, only the one she was contracted too. She peered down into the hole the men had crawled out from, satisfied whenever she did not smell, see or hear any new enemies. She looked up to Raven, then back towards the cotton.

“Hey Cirven! Raven and I are going to go down into the treasure room! Take care of Kiersa!”
She called out. He couldn’t see her, but at least she could let him know where she was. She then glanced over to Raven and walked over towards the girl, gently placing her hand on her shoulder and giving it a light squeeze as she saw the look on the girls face.

“Hey… Raven… are you alright? You want to talk about it?”
She asked their newest companion with worry in her own eyes. She had seen the look in Raven’s eyes before… seen it many times reflected back at her from her water… She had been hurt pretty badly .

“Come on… come down into the treasure room with me. It’ll be more private.”
She told the girl, leading the way but not descending until she was sure that Raven would come with her.

When they did finally step down into the treasure room, Aayla’s jaw very nearly dropped at the magnificent array of jewels, treasures and ancient keepsakes. It was like something straight out of a pirate movie!

Mary relaxed a bit now that it was all over, she smiled  at Aries and pet her on the head as the summon started to apologize away. Mary put a single finger on Aries lips to stop her as she said, "Don't apologize unless you did something wrong. Otherwise there is little reason to do so and it makes you look weak. Weakness is not going to get you reunited with Leo and take that key from Nakiya's hands..." There was a look of pained sadness in Mary's eyes, it was her fault that Aries fell to darkness. And the pain of readjusting her when she fell to thralls of madness was terrifying. To those that were afraid, the darkness was among the scariest things in existence. To those that were not, it was one of the most comforting things to shelter you from evil. The pain in Mary's eyes watched as Aries quietly went back to her part of the Dark Celestial Realm. The Dark Portal opening for one final time today as Mary dismissed all her summons one by one.

Mary sighed in silence as there was one last thing in Mary's agenda, to get back what was stolen... She sneaked into the treasure room and looked at the mountain before sighing at the huge pile that was in front of her. She quietly pushed things aside while Aayla did her job as a leader and comforted Raven. It was then that she came upon a curious weapon, one that was a pair of sickles connected by a chain. Mary grabbed it and for a brief second felt a rush of power in her. It was strong, powerful and dark, but otherwise felt no different than anything else she had. Shaking her head to remove the notion there was a smile on her face when she found it. A simple letter containing very important to Mary...

She walked out of the treasure room and approached Kiersa. This was it, the final goodbye for the 2 servants of the Maker. Mary had one final parting gift for Kiersa as she placed it at the blonde's hands. Mary said, "This was not the way I wanted to give it to you. I wanted to help you use this... Just not the way the Maker intended I guess... Just use it, this came when I became a rising star and asked for help... If Kiersa was to open it, there was a bank note for the credit of 98,537 jewels under the nuns name. Mary's head was down as she was trying to not cry. It would soon be time to go...

"...May the Maker watch over you Sister Kiersa."

Post by Cirven 1st December 2014, 6:30 pm

Cirven smiled at the blonde nun as he saw that the healing had taken affect. She seemed to still be suffering from the affects of the pain on her body as well as her own spell's drawbacks but other than that the wounds were gone which was the issue he had with her healing him in the first place. He gave a nod to Capricorn before he left them and took it as a sign that he had to now protect the nun for him seeing as she was practically blind at the moment. "Guess its my time to be a knight in shining armor for you, Snow White." Cirven stepped between her and the sound of approaching foot steps, his fire blades circling around him as he did so.

Two men came from around the corner that the team had come from earlier, each carrying a rifle with them. "Only two of them? Was hoping for more than this." Cirven continued walking as he spoke. The two men stopped in their tracks from the sight of the Demon Slayer and took aim at him. Cirven let out a sigh and quickly had two of his blades disappear from around him and reappear in front of each man where they slashed down at them causing both to scream out in agony from the burning slash that hit them.

That was not enough to keep them down though as they jumped back and lifted up their guns again to fire. This time one of the men started firing quickly at the blue-haired young man. The shots were meant as a distraction but Cirven didn't figure that out until after he had dodged them and was jumping into the sights of the other gunmen. Shots were sent towards the area where Cirven was about to land showing the experience and team work between the two gunmen.

The bullets hit the floor behind Cirven who reached for his left arm with his sword arm but couldn't do much because he had to hold the Xihe still. Blood trickled down his left arm from the multiple shots as the blades that were floating around him and the two gunmen disappeared. The two gunmen smiled and started to aim their guns again at the Holy Tempest's Demon Slayer. "So I was a bit careless... ugh... Thing is you guys were too.."

The two gunmen didn't realize it until it was too late but five flaming blades had formed behind them from Cirven. The blades rushed towards the two men slashing at them like a crazed animal would making the attacks hard to doge and unpredictable. Both men managed to avoid being hit enough from the attack to be done in and continued dodging the attacks but suddenly the blades disappeared again causing them to look back towards Cirven who had closed the gap between them. Each blade of flame gathered into the Xihe causing the blade to extend into its massive Blade of Ten Sons form. Cirven used the massive form of the blade along with how close he had gotten to slash both men with the blade and cause them both to drop to the floor unconscious from the pain.

Cirven painfully released the form of the Kukan and managed to slide the blade into the sheath on his side. He grunted as he lifted his now free hand and focused his flames on the palm of his hand then lifted it over his injured arm. The holes healed up and he felt better from the pain but he still could feel the achy feeling that the pain brought. He turned around to Kiersa and smiled as he returned to her side.

"You are protected Ms. White." He continued to tease her some as he walked over.

Red. Everything was red. The sound of blood dripping to the dirty ground below and the smell of it filled the air. And among them was the sound of a ten year old’s weeping. She sat alone, curled up into a ball, her hands pulling at her hair, her clothes torn at places, her hair a complete mess and her white skin tainted with blood. She wept and wept all alone in the middle of a red circle that waxed and waned much like the red moon above. All around her were a mass of dead bodies and some of them were mercilessly torn apart.

As the girl lifted her head, her blood stained fingers were dragged down her cheeks, creating what looked like tears made of blood on her face. Her stare was blank and her eyes were distant, not a speck of light to be found in them. She struggled to stand up though she was not wounded at all. Bathed in her own people’s blood, Raven stood still as everything disappeared before her eyes and she fell into what seemed like a bottomless pit.

    What had she done?...

Snapping out of her thoughts as she felt Aayla’s touch, Raven visibly tensed up as she looked around and calmed down only when she found Aayla’s concerned look. Forcing a small smile out of her, Raven shook her head as she followed the young dragon slayer down to where the treasure was hidden.

She wanted to tell Aayla she was fine and that they didn’t have to be bothered about her. However, she found herself unable to speak and her palms were sweating. What she saw was red and as she slowly reached for the item that caught her eyes along with the other items piled up there, Raven fell unconscious, her red eyes reflecting the red jewel she was trying to reach before they shut close.

“You were born to commit an unforgivable sin, child...You are to suffer for your entire life. You can never hold happiness in your hands. That is your fate”

Kiersa groaned slightly from the enormous headache she was suffering from right now, her vision returning to her slowly. What she had been expecting to see was all of the team together, a job well done and completed, ready to head back home... instead, what greeted her sight was Cirven fighting off a pair of gunmen with nothing but his sword and fire, Aayla and Raven descending into the vault, the latter looking far more perturbed than she should be, and Mary... Mary was handing her a single sheet of paper inside an envelope, which the nun slowly took and opened. Kiersa heard Cirven returning and making some quips, the sight of him burning himself to heal himself, slightly irking her but she couldn't fault him for trying to ease the burdens of healing the team.

She looked down at the scrawling on the slip, her eyes widening at the figure written on it. "M-Mary! I... I..." she stammered, at a loss for words at what was going on, what she was giving away to her, how she'd gotten this in the first place. The blonde nun immediately went to hug the older one, burying her face into her chest to stem back the tears of mixed emotions. "S-Stay s-safe S-Sister Mary..." Kiersa stammered out, hugging a little harder before slowly letting go.

There was still a job to do.

The nun slowly made her way down into the vault behind the other two, her eyes catching sight of a single item amidst the glittering piles. "Can't be..." she said in hushed awe, collecting the relic, studying it in detail to ensure that it was in fact the genuine holy article. "It is... oh by the Maker... It really is..." To most eyes it would resemble a simple necklace, but on the rim and back were a series of engravings that marked it out to those with the knowledge of its true identity.

The sight of the massive amount of gold items, treasure, jewels and gems would have made Aayla speechless, it would have even frozen her in place completely awe struck if her eyes weren't so fixated on Raven. Something was definitely wrong with the girl... she had a look in her eyes that she had only seen on herself and the thought of that worried her immensely. She gently placed her hand on Raven's shoulder, only to have the girl collapse into her arms.

    "H...hey! Raven!"
She cried out to the other girl, shaking her gently as she checked to make sure the girl was stll breathing. She barely had time to do that as her ears picked up the sudden sound of hurried footsteps, twitching before she heard the source yell "SNEAK ATTACK".

    sneak attack scene:

Aayla growled as she grit her teeth, looking up at the source which was a young boy, dressed much like the others but this one was incredibly scrawny, and judging by the arm raised above his head in a karate chop, not very good with magic. Her yes glowed for a brief moment before her eyes were covered in a blue tint. She glared at the oncoming male as her Serpents gaze tore into his soul, bringing forward his worst fears, causing the man to slowly come to a stop, looking ridiculous as his hand remained high up above his head.

Soon, the boy started picturing the girls in the treasure room as witched, their hair flowing like snakes on medusa's head and sharp fangs bared, ready to eat him alive. He promptly raised his other hand in the air and turned around before running away from the group at high speed, screaming as loudly as a 5 year old girl waking from a nightmare.

"Guys we need to get what we came for and leave, now! Something's wrong with Raven!"
She told her team as she hoisted the young girl as best she could, glancing at Kiersa and giving her a worried little smile before heaving Raven outside of the treasure room. She only went back in long enough to gather what she felt the team needed, along with what the magic council had asked them for before climbing back out of the treasure room, waiting for Kiersa before shutting the trap door.

They then quickly made their way back to the entrance where Zinnath was waiting for them. She placed Raven onto her back along with the loot they had gathered and finally took off, both to tend to Raven, and to complete thei job for the council.
