Bring back the cbox

Now I know not everybody on this site is capable of using discord, or for certain reasons simply cannot join the site discord. I’m suggesting bringing back the chatbox, simply so those of us who can’t use the discord can interact without having to write up a PM every single time. It’d be nice to be able to chat with members without having to necessarily join discord, at any rate. Does anybody else have any thoughts on this?

I feel rather indifferent, but am leaning together to the side that disagrees.

For more shallow reasoning, I think it clashes with the overall visual appeal and aesthetic of the main forum and isn't really justified for such a small number of people who are not in the FTRP Discord server. Unless it was actively used (which I doubt, since everyone uses Discord), I don't really see a need for it beyond the inconvenience members without Discord will simply have to go through to contact members for threads and questions.

Then again, if it is added, it's no trouble to me and therefore I am pretty indifferent, lul.

As someone that is currently not in the main Discord and has not been for several months, I do not think this is needed. It honestly is not that big of a hassle to write an old fashioned PM and chances are, for most people, the person they are wanting to contact is on Discord in some way anyway. Also, the chatbox was rarely even used when I joined in 2017 besides for shits and giggles every now and then. There's no point in bringing something like that back unless it's going to get more use than it did before its removal and I just do not see that happening.

Yeah, pretty much agree with the above. Chatbox fizzled out and was never used towards the end either, so I don't think it's entirely necessary to change the layout and functionality of the site to appeal and cater specifically to a very small group of people. I can understand the sentiment, but as it stands now, Chatbox ain't gonna make a comeback. The suggestion will be locked and moved to denied as a result.
