    Baird Yuzill

Another boring day, another boring night. The green haired, aqua eyed man had grown rather bored within the guild hall. He wanted to go out and do something... but something different. Something that at least sounded like it was new for him to do. Or even something that provided to be a challenge for him, like having to assassinate someone a specific way or something like that. Doing the same thing over and over again got a smidge boring after on occasion to the aspiring musician. The song he had been composing before, wasn't really working for him anymore... Or it could of been the instruments he was using currently. He just couldn't get his hands on the right instruments he envisioned for it. With his ocean themed lute in his hands once again, he slowly strummed the song he wanted to play at a slow rhythm. It sounded okay on it, but it wasn't the right instrument still. He was picky with his music, and this piece needed to be perfect. "Maybe... Something with a shake to it? Or a longer, sleeker, deeper thwoom to it! Oooh! I know! A drum! I need a new one! Or a fancy new guitar looking thing!" He seemed liked he was starting to drool over the instruments he was thinking of, and could barely contain his excitement for just those ones. He then stopped dead in his tracks. "I could do a thing right now... but what thing...?" He was bored without someone to tease. It's been a bit since he played around with someone, or at least someone he felt would make his playing fun.

He then felt like he had an idea and quickly raced through the guild hall. "Lets see if there's something on the job board again!" He sings happily to himself as he goes to the board. Baird reaches the board, and grabs the first job he saw. Something about hunting at Mount Hakobe. Hunting a person? Sure! Sounds fun! A hunt sounds grand to him! He went to the first populated area within the guild, and was grinning as he strummed what one would typically suspect a bard to play on a lute. "Who wants to go on a hunt?!" He didn't even attempt to let his words match with his music. He just wanted to be loud as he cackles a little to himself. It was obvious the musician was all too excited for this little adventure he was wanting to go on, and only hoped others would as well. He did have some fun on his last job he went on with a group. But it wasn't a concert, so it wasn't too much fun.

Of course he still hasn't really looked at his job he had torn off. Or if exactly Mount Hakobe was even the exact place that they had to go hunting in, he hoped though! But, he figured he could fully figure that out after he sucker- erm, recruited... someone to join him in his endeavors once again. He eagerly looks around the room, hoping to spy a victim or two to drag along with him for the fun of it.

Post by Godlike Frederik 19th October 2018, 2:29 am

Life was utterly boring. Since he had joined up with the dark guild Nightmare Dahau had nothing to do. Or to be more accurate, he had lost the will to do basically anything. Back in Savage Skull he was at his prime, the apex mage among a horde of ruffians, murderers and any other kind of criminal you could imagine. He ordered them, his will was law. But now, now he had no cause anymore and he spent most of his days in the main hall of his new guild.
It was one of the most densely populated places in the guild and was, in fact, brimming with activity. Groups gathered here, plans were being forged and there was even a mage who was playing on his lute while singing words that didn't match the melody. Actually he wasn't even singing, instead, he'd called out to the mages in the hall asking for participants in a hunt. If Dahau was correct, then this green haired young man went by the name of Baird. He had seen him around the Guildhall from time to time, and actually heard some promising things about him. Apparently, the lad had a unique kind of magic that came in rather handy during their raid on Black Rose.
The hunt sounded quite interesting, if it was as infamous as the hunts of Savage Skull then this might just be the very thing that he needed. Some pastime activity to get back into the game. And he got to learn about this new mage, or rather his magic which harnassed just right could be of use.

With a scraping sound Dahau pushed back his chair and stood up from the table in the back, and as he stepped out of the shadows that shrouded him in mystery until now he declared loudly 'I'll join your hunt!' Dahau appeared as a man of stature, tall with broad shoulders he easily towered above most of the mages. But it wasn't his physique alone. His entire demeanor had a certain hint of elitism about it, this was a man born to rule, to conquer and dominate by all means. His attire was the finishing touch, clad in high-grade armor and with a long cloak dragging behind him as he approached the musician. The heel of his boot clacked harshly against the cold pavement of the guild.

'So what are we hunting?' he inquired the moment he stood before Baird. 'Beasts? Monsters? Or a far more interesting prey?' Back at his old guild, hunting was a frequent activity. Surrounded by marshes and woodlands there was more than enough interesting creatures to hunt. From feral boars with sharp tusks to enormous leeches that could swallow a horse whole. However, nothing was more thrilling then hunting human. Or any humanoid for that matter. Their intelligence and ability to adapt to most situations always made sure those hunts were a pleasure.

Yuii wasn't in her armchair reading for a change, in fact she was in one of the many training halls practising her dancing, much of her magic required very precise movements or motions to work effectively. Well there was that and she was developing more spells to add to her arsenal but given how many clowns, jesters and fools there where around the place it made such things near impossible due to constant distractions and yelling. She had still made some headway she thought and for now moved around with a graceful elegance one would expect for someone like her as she continued to practice her dancing. Light crystals started to form around her as did a few magic circles but just as she was starting to almost get the hang of it she heard yelling from the main hall of the guild. making her trip over her own foot and land hard on the ground. She couldn't help mutter how she was ready to kill the moron who would do such a thing, but she had a funny feeling she knew who it was given the first job she done since joining the guild a short while a go. "Please gods, anyone but him... at least if you want to have mercy on his body cause I doubt he has a soul." she growled standing dusting off her baby green and pink hanbok she was wearing before checking her pins and combs were how they should have been.

Wish a frustrated sigh she moved towards the training hall doors pushing them forward and there he was, the one that he truly wished that it wasn't. Bringing her foot back she allowed it to slip out of her baby green and pink silk slipper shoe before picking it up and throwing it directly at Baird's head where she watched it connect hard before falling to the ground. Not only was she holding the bottom of her hanbok up but had her unshoed foot a quarter inch off the floor glaring directly at Baird. "Moron, there are other ways to ask for help than shouting!" she scolded, it was clear she was agitated by the green haired male, after annoyed sigh she pointed to her shoe "The least you can do is give me back my shoe and if it's damaged because of your thick head you're paying for a replacement pair." she complained waiting for him to bring back her shoe before she was going to do anything because if she had to walk to it there was going to be blood being spilt namely Baird's. If and when it was returned to her wither he placed it on her foot or she done it herself she would sigh quietly before rubbing her temple a little knowing there was no backing out of this task now.

Placing her foot down she looked to the elder mage whom seemed to have agreed to go on this task for a long moment before her milky blue jade eyes moved back to Baird. "You said or well yelled that you wanted to go on a hunt and are looking for others to join you..." she put out her hand for the job flyer from him so she could read it, when given to her her eyes narrowed seeing where it was located she didn't care about what was hunting she wanted to take that mountain down and so grabbed the musical mage by the back of his top dragging him out of the hall knowing that the elder mage had already agreed. What none would know due to Yuii's androgynous look was that she had turned into a he due to now being more aggressive in their wants. "I don't care what we're hunting, I want that mountain to burn." he growled making his intentions known, the four elements of his magic now seen in his eyes showing that his insanity and aggression had taken hold over the normal calm and gentle Yuiisai.

    Baird Yuzill

Baird looks up as he hears the chair scraping a bit, and grins rather widely. He cheered to himself as he was approached by the older mage, and was already excited. "Yes! The hunting is apparently at Mount Hakobe! I got not a clue about what we're hunting though! But it seems like fun~!" He had pulled out the paper just as his head was smacked with a shoe. He was about to lash out at whomever it was who threw the blasted thing, when he heard Yuiisai's voice and begun to grin. Of course it was her. Who else would deliberately do that to him? He rubs his head a little as he smirks over to her. "If I don't shout, it won't be fun! I do enjoy to play around too you know." He cries out and chuckles over to Yuiisai. He had picked up her shoe and grins as he makes his way over to her now. "You shouldn't throw things like shoes, they're not as exciting, and they look too pretty on you to be thrown... unless you want to just take it all off." He snickers at her as he helped her put it back on. He had absolutely no doubt he'd be smacked for that comment, but he couldn't help himself. "Why not join us?! Bet it will be fun now if you come along!" He chuckles as he gives her the paper when she puts her hand out to be given it. "We're just hunting in Mount Hakobe, it sounds like it'll be a blast." He muses before Yuiisai started to grab his shirt from behind, and pull him along. He let up an 'ack!' before he lost his footing due to her dragging him, and quickly scrambles to follow Yuiisai while she held onto his shirt. As Yuiisai spoke, Baird couldn't help but blush a bit, before a grin splits his face basically as the words fully sunk in. Her words excited him a bit more. Now this job really would be fun if they were going to burn the mountain. "Woo! So hunting, plus some!" He cackles, raising an arm in a cheer. "I can help with burning." He cackles a bit.

He didn't know what happened to Yuii to have her change like so, but he couldn't say he didn't enjoy this side of her either. He still hadn't looked at the paper as he was dragged along. Once they made it to Mount Hakobe, Baird finally looked at the paper and begun to groan. "All this is, is a job to stop a creature from attacking homes?! This was posted up at our guild?! Why couldn't it be kill a person?! Ugh! This is lame already!" He moans while slumping his shoulders and leaning his head back. "I wanna go home." He grumbles as this seemed boring to him already without him doing anything yet... and he was the one who picked out this job! He hands Dahau the paper so he can properly see what they're doing. He pauses though as he starts to hear a few things making noise out in the distance, and they made him feel a bit giddy again. "Can I destroy a house or two when we're done? So we can say it was a curse set on the town rather than that stupid shrine in the paper?" He cackles quietly. He holds out his hands to the side, and clears his throat. "Drum of the Dragons." He says as he smiles to himself. A red drum plopped onto his right hand, while a pair of drum sticks fell in his left. He instantly closed his left hand and moved to put the strap to the drum over his neck. "It's already quiet... and it's boring..." He grumbles to himself before he looks over to Yuiisai again. As he did so, his expression changed quickly and was now rather excited. "How do you want to burn the mountain?!" He begins to just randomly titter on his drum with the sticks, not enough to activate either of the drums abilities. "You plan to earn some jewel and play around with the 'beasties' at the same time, sweetheart?" He cackles a little while skipping. His adrenaline was starting to quicken from the excitement of destroying the mountain somehow.

Post by Godlike Frederik 6th January 2019, 12:24 pm

oh my, the bard wasn't a man of a few words. His voice went from normal to excite to normal again and in-between, he even sang some lyrics. If Daha had to describe this man in a friendly manner he, then eccentric was the right choice of words. Not that the other collected members of their small party could be considered normal. Dahau himself was a warmongering monster, prideful and with a wicked take on the world. He considered mages to be the ruling class of the world. And if it was up to him, most of the normal humans would be eradicated from the face of the earth, with the exception of the cannon fodder and the occasional sow for breeding purposes. The other one to join their little band was none other Yuissai, oriental in appearance and always appeared to be at odds with Baird. Not that Dahau could blame her, the green haired mage did seem to have a knack for getting under your skin.

'Anyway...' interrupted Dahau with an overtone that suggested he was annoyed by the current flow of the conversation 'Mountain or not, we will have to deal with this beast.' Honestly he didn't care for any personal grudges, especially against a landmark such as the Phoenix Mountain. Right now he only wanted to pummel something into a bloody pulp and if it wasn't going to be this beast then some of his fellow guild mates would help him relief some of his wrath. 'Honestly I don't really care if any of you blow up the mountain in the progress, nor don't I mind if a home or two gets destroyed during our quest, as long as I can get appeased by this beast... if not then the neighboring villages have to suffice. So shall we get going?'
    The moment Dahau finishe
d his sentence a rift appeared behing him, like a crack in reality itself which slowly spread until you could see an entirely different landscape in it. It was a tad vague, but you could easily see that is was a rather rocky landscape, with small islands of forests and towering peaks. The Phoenix Mountains. Without any further words, Dahau had turned around and stepped through the gate he himself created, assuming that the other two would follow naturally.
It was but a mere moment and Dahau could feel the heat of the sun on his bare skin, the fresh mountain air as it blew through his hair and made his cloak flutter. He stepped forwards, near the edge of a cliff and gazed upon nature's beauty that stretched out before him. Mountains with white tops, green forests between in the valleys and rock formations that separated them.

'Well then... shall we begin'' he said as he turned his head towards his comrades.

Hunt a Thing or Ten (job with Yuiisai and Frederik) Empty Re: Hunt a Thing or Ten (job with Yuiisai and Frederik)

Post by Oykai 9th February 2019, 12:50 pm

Yuiisai listened to both men as they spoke, he really couldn't give a damn at the end of the day. There was history between the finely dressed person and the guild that once stood atop the mountain they would be scaling. "It's not fun when you are practising and some noisy brat yells at the top of his lungs about wanting job partners!" she scolded him, it was clear as crystal that they weren't in the best of moods and would have just down right killed the other if it would have made their life easier. That of course came with it's own issues such as getting rid of the body, coming up with an alibi and of course an excuse why they weren't around anymore. Someone was bound to notice someone that noisy just disappearing all of a sudden. "How about being a grown up once in a while and using your indoor voice." she groaned, how he had survived to be as old as he was, was beyond her she was pretty sure nature would have taken its course and he would have put a fork into a plug socket by now just because he thought it was 'fun'. To be honest she was starting to wonder just how many times he was dropped on his head as a newborn and by how many floors was he dropped as a child, because that would explain so many things.

Hearing his next words she stood there shocked for a moment, she was beyond caught off guard when he said that her shoes remain on her unless she intended to take it all off. "I do take it all off..." she eventually said regaining her composure "Every time I bathe or change clothing" she said in a matter of fact way but then she leaned in placing her finger under his chin bringing his gaze up to meet hers as he placed her shoe on "but a little boy like you will never see such a thing, because I have more refined tastes" she whispered leaning into his ear "and even if I didn't I would still want a man not a noisy little boy." a sweet smile in her face but her eyes showed something darker within them, something more sinister. She read over the flyer once more taking in the information and still there was anger in her eyes seeing the location, she hated the guild that had once betrayed her after making her believe that they were the only ones who cared for her. That bad things happened if she wandered to far from them, she had later found out that the thing that had affected the village she had met Ahote in once more wasn't her fault; in fact she had eaten the magic and it had made her sick. She still have no idea this what had caused her amnesia however.

She turned her milky jade eyes towards the musician who seemed to be enjoying this a little to much in her opinion "I don't think you'll make it to the mountain at this rate." she said coldly as she continued to walk dragging him but stopped seeing a portal appearing, this was something new she didn't think such a thing could be used but here it was. Her eyes turning to the elder male "Your doing I presume since if it was music for brains it be as loud and annoying as he and his hair are." she said dropping her grip on Baird not caring if he hit the floor or not. She did however attempt to slap him so hard that an echo could be heard around the guild hall should it connect "That's for calling me sweetheart, I'd rather be with a bum than you." she said before walking through the portal and reemerging on the mountain shivering, she had forgotten just how cold it was here. Her eyes going over the untouched snow until she seen smoke in the distance and so pointed towards it "I would say we should start there, if nothing else we can get the information on were we should be going." she said starting to head towards the direction of the smoke without another word.

    Baird Yuzill

Baird had let up a chuckle to Yuiisai as she scolded him, debating on sticking his tongue out at her. "Why be a grown up and be serious all the damned time? It's more fun to play around and be free." He chuckles to her. When he went to put her shoe back on her and commented about her taking off all her clothes, he blinked. For once he was stunned. He then shook his head and pointed to them. "I'll have you know, I am no little boy!" He couldn't help himself from commenting aloud to her, feeling rather defensive about himself before he was dragged off. He looked over to the elder mage as he started to speak to them, grinning from ear to ear. He was excited to go do this with him and take care of the beast. And if the beast apparently didn't help him, maybe he could see about tagging along to take care of a village with him. Or give music to the chase. When Dahau opened the portal, Baird seemed excited again. "Fast travel!" He cackles some. He was jolted when he was dropped, and blinks as he was slapped. It wasn't the first time he's been slapped, wouldn't be the last. A chuckle escaped his lips as he got himself off the ground. "Aw! C'mon! It's just a nickname!"

Without another word, Baird had gone through the portal though. After looking at the paper and complaining, he takes a deep breath and looks to Mount Hakobe before to Dahau and Yuiisai. Having been raised in Iceberg, Baird didn't really mind the cold too much. He just wasn't too used to it anymore. He followed Yuiisai's hand as she pointed to some smoke, and grinned. "I hope we can come across some scary beasties!" He chuckles while tittering on his drum some more while following after the black haired beauty before him. He was keeping a steady beat as he walked, wondering what they'd see around here. He whistled along with his drumming, glancing towards the forest a bit as he noticed a few things in there.

A grin slightly forms on his lips. "I think we're being watched." He says. He didn't know what he saw in the forest while they walked to where the smoke was coming from, but he felt the eyes on him. He looks back and pauses in his music, tilting his head a bit while having a grin on his face. He then started actually playing the drum a bit louder in what sounded like he was drumming in circles. While he played, the two dragons that rested on the head of the drum started to shimmer before they came up off of the drum and we're floating around Baird in opposite directions. He stood where he was and looks ahead of himself, watching the woods for a moment before a screaming spirit came out after him. He continues to play his drums before the two dragons start twisting around one another as they shoot after the spirit, looking like they're tangled around each other. The next moment, when the spirit was nearly upon the dragons, they opened their maws and let a burst of ice shoot at the spirit. It screeched as it was shot back from the ice and the dragons disappeared. Baird begun whistling as he turned on his heel and walked right back to the other two, grinning to them a bit. "Is that smoke from a beastie? Or an actual home?" He hoped it was a home, if anything, just so they could destroy it. He taps his chin as he was wondering what instrument to call out next. Had to be something that could make a loud bang! for them.
