    Magic Name: Sword Arts
    Magic Type: Holder
    Description: This magic is a project created by Katsumi in conjunction with a few other LAO survivors. It pulls the ‘magic’ arts from LAO and produces them in the world through a device called the Henkan. While currently limited, the device replicates a weapon someone might have used in LAO then allows them to use the Sword Arts that were associated with that weapon. In essence, ‘spells’ are coded into the Henkan for use. The LAO survivors are currently trying to expand their repertoire into other weapons that weren’t originally in LAO itself. There have been more failures than successes in this case but they are making steady progress. The hope is Sword Arts will spread across Fiore bringing something positive from that death game.

    Katsumi struggles when using this magic. Not because it is difficult to use or she’s magically inept. Rather the memories associated with the Sword Arts from LAO can paralyze her in the midst of a fight. She struggles to overcome this deficiency as best she can. Otherwise, Katsumi tends to use this magic with a skill few others from the game can manage. She has one of the few ‘custom’ Henkan that has been successfully programmed with new Sword Arts. To be expected of the Black Swordswoman. Katsumi uses the Sword Arts most effectively when she is defending others. Her thoughts seem to take a step back in those moments and her body simply moves, using weapon and magic alike with great skill.
    Benefit: Solitary (Weapon: +30% magical damage)
    Unique Abilities:
    ~Black Swordswoman: Katsumi’s skill within the LAO game has translated into the world with great practice. She is 20% faster and deals 20% more physical damage when fighting with a sword.
    ~For Those I Protect: (Locked) When protecting another person, Katsumi darts around the battlefield with 50% more speed.

    Feeling Empty
    Description: A thousand years or two ago, a small little village was struck with a horrible curse by a power-hungry demon, each inhabitant losing half of their soul to the demon. No one saved them. The Magic Council, the freelance mages, the guilds and even the dark guilds did not dare to go near them, for with their half of their souls gone, the forbidden Container of magic power known as the Second Origin within each of them was left wide open like a black hole and whenever they got close to magic, magic was drawn towards them, absorbed by the empty half of their soul. As a result, ostracized by the magic-dominated world, they were cordoned off from the world like a disease, left in their shell of a village to rot. However, they strove to live despite this predicament and they did. Eventually, history forgot their 'crimes' and the descendants of these villagers were let out into the world, still holding the diluted version of the curse within them.

    Ability: The user in missing half of their soul has resulted in the opening of their Second Origin, the secret container of magic that very few mages get the chance to access. However, unlike its original purpose, having being opened since the user's birth, the Second Origin is empty, and hungry. It is like a black hole for magic energy, though not as potent as its original, but still useful in your fights, for if your opponent manages to smack you with a spell, don't worry about the injuries, you can catch some of their magic energy away for your own usage. The user gains MP equal to half the spell used to attack them that they were get hit by.
    Usage: 3 posts with a 8 post cooldown. The user can only absorb MP from one spell they are hit by per post and they can only absorb the MP from a spell of their rank or lower(Max S-rank).

    Description: The caster turns to blade their body. Digging their back foot in activates the spell. With a twist of their hips, the caster teleports to the range of the spell. As they reappear, they can twist to face the direction they wish to.

    Description: The caster raises their weapon to a parallel in front of their face and close their eyes. Their body begins to glow, granting them an 85% speed buff. When they move afterwards, the caster creates after images that copy their movements. They can create up to 5 after image clones and make it appear as if the clones are making the clones. The clones only exist within the range of the spell. If the caster is to strike anyone within range with their weapon, they deal spell damage. All the clones vanish at that point. The speed buff lasts 2 posts.


    B Rank Spells

    Specular Cross (Locked):

    Description: The caster crosses their swords, activating a glowing blue white shield in front of themselves. The shield has B rank durability and if struck allows the caster to retaliate. If the enemy strikes physically, the caster’s glowing swords make a cross that does spell damage. If the shield is struck magically, if the caster is within range, a glowing cross arc flies to spell range in an attempt to hit them. If it hits, it does spell damage. If not, the glowing shield stays in place unless the spell used up all of its durability.
    Flashing Penetrator (Locked):

    Description: The caster’s rapier glows white as they pull it back. They thrust forward, darting with the sword to spell range, a sonic boom echoing out behind them. If the rapier strikes its target, it does 50% B rank Burst damage. A glowing red wound appears on the opponent that will do 50% B rank Burst damage until the end of spell duration. The opponent also has a 60% speed debuff for 4 posts.

As the caster releases, the projectiles race after various targets within range. If they strike, they deal spell damage and impose a 65% debuff upon speed for 3 posts.

While attacking, the caster takes on the visage of something that terrified the opponent. It is something only they can see.
    Blackhowling Assault (Locked):

    Description: The caster holds their swords at their side, the points horizontal above the ground. The swords begin to glow black. They leave two black wounds upon the opponent that together do 50% A rank burst damage for 3 more posts after this. The opponent is then paralyzed for a single post.
    Twilight Resurrection (Locked):

    Description: The caster’s rapier begins to glow a soft orange color. The caster stabs forward, creating a large spear of orange energy that is 10 meters at its widest. The energy spear races toward spell range. If the spear strikes an opponent, it deals spell damage before enveloping the person in an orange ball. This ball has 2x A rank durability and keeps the person enclosed until it is destroyed or spell duration is up. This does not immobilize the target. If they move, the bubble simply moves with them. Spells pass through the orange membrane dealing 50% damage to the bubble and 50% to whoever the intended target was.

    Mother’s Rosario (Locked):

    Name: Mother’s Rosario
    Rank: A+
    Type: Burst
    Damage: 75 HP
    Range: 110 meter
    Speed: 110 MPS

    Downside:
    Description: The caster teleports to an opponent in range. They strike five times horizontally. If they hit, the strikes as a whole do 50% A+ burst damage and paralyze the opponent for one post. The caster, on the second post, if they hit, deals five more strikes vertically on the opponent for 50% A+ burst damage and imposing a 100% speed debuff for one post. On the third post, if they hit, the caster strikes through the center of the cross they made on the other two posts dealing 50% A+ burst damage. This cross glows for a final post doing one last 50% A+ burst damage before it fades.
    The Eclipse (Locked):

    Description: The caster blades their body, one sword before them, one behind. The swords begin to glow, one a black color, one yellow. The caster teleports to a person within range and begins a flurry of attacks. When they finish, the opponent takes spell damage, is paralyzed for 1 post and is blinded for 3 posts afterward.

To be expected of the Black Swordswoman. Katsumi uses the Sword Arts most effectively when she is defending others. Her thoughts seem to take a step back in those moments and her body simply moves, using weapon and magic alike with great skill.

    ~Black Swordswoman: Katsumi’s skill within the LAO game has translated into the world with great practice. She is 20% faster and deals 20% more physical damage when fighting with a sword.
    ~For Those I Protect: (Locked) When protecting another person, Katsumi darts around the battlefield with 50% more speed.

    Description: A thousand years or two ago, a small little village was struck with a horrible curse by a power-hungry demon, each inhabitant losing half of their soul to the demon. No one saved them. The Magic Council, the freelance mages, the guilds and even the dark guilds did not dare to go near them, for with their half of their souls gone, the forbidden Container of magic power known as the Second Origin within each of them was left wide open like a black hole and whenever they got close to magic, magic was drawn towards them, absorbed by the empty half of their soul. As a result, ostracized by the magic-dominated world, they were cordoned off from the world like a disease, left in their shell of a village to rot. However, they strove to live despite this predicament and they did. Eventually, history forgot their 'crimes' and the descendants of these villagers were let out into the world, still holding the diluted version of the curse within them.

    Ability: The user in missing half of their soul has resulted in the opening of their Second Origin, the secret container of magic that very few mages get the chance to access. However, unlike its original purpose, having being opened since the user's birth, the Second Origin is empty, and hungry. It is like a black hole for magic energy, though not as potent as its original, but still useful in your fights, for if your opponent manages to smack you with a spell, don't worry about the injuries, you can catch some of their magic energy away for your own usage. The user gains MP equal to half the spell used to attack them that they were get hit by.
    Usage: 3 posts with a 8 post cooldown. The user can only absorb MP from one spell they are hit by per post and they can only absorb the MP from a spell of their rank or lower(Max S-rank).

The clones only exist within the range of the spell. If the caster is to strike anyone within range with their weapon, they deal spell damage. All the clones vanish at that point. The speed buff lasts 2 posts.

If the shield is struck magically, if the caster is within range, a glowing cross arc flies to spell range in an attempt to hit them. If it hits, it does spell damage. If not, the glowing shield stays in place unless the spell used up all of its durability.
    Flashing Penetrator (Locked):

The opponent also has a 60% speed debuff for 4 posts.

This ball has 2x A rank durability and keeps the person enclosed until it is destroyed or spell duration is up. This does not immobilize the target.
