    Appearance:

Nothing irked her more than when a planned out day was ruined by a simple little mistake. For whatever reason it had been, there was a wrong time that she jotted down in her morning planner prepared just the day before. Instead of her normal 6:30 set out to the town, it was written to be as an 8, which had thrown her off even if she’d flown her way over. The Dem-dragon girl was rather livid with herself despite the bright and chipper normal attitude she had worn since she woke up. Despite her obstacles, there was always a way for her to find a light at the end of the tunnel and even in the worst of situations. Sure, she’d repented the sin of murder, though that in it of itself was purely in fear of her own life. In her mind and heart there was a big part that new she’d be forgiven due simply on the circumstances of the incident.

As she reached the port town that was in question, Madison took a look around the dock area and couldn’t find the rather ginormous ship that was told to her would be here. Even a blind person would be able to spot a ship like this, so if it weren’t in port than she possibly had missed it... unless she wrote down the wrong date too while she was at it. Letting out a small sigh, the small red haired girl looked around until she spotted someone that worked at the docks. Asking them about the ship in question, they had recently left, which worked in her favor once they were pointed out to her. There wouldn’t be any issue in her getting to them so long as she knew it wasn’t going to be an issue doing so.

Sprouting black wings from her back, a push off from the ground sent her flying off toward where she had been told this place flown off to. It took her a bit of time to make it, but she found herself landing in an alley to avoid others looking on at her. She was a little nervous around strangers with the type of lineage she had, but never ashamed to to admit it. Though now came the hard part... There had to be a building around here somewhere that she could find that was where she could go to join. Maybe if she did, there would be a small chance she would find Aiyana here. Not having her here wouldn’t deter her from the idea, but it surely wouldn’t hurt her deciding on joining either. As she walked out of the alley, the girl looked around in awe at how wondrous the place looked; a whole town inside of a ship.. or on top..? Who could really know for sure on first guess. ”Oh, flidoodle!” she yelled in surprise, though in a lighter tone despite the surprise as the hall stood right before her.

Taking in a deep breath and exhaling, Madison tapped on her body in the shape of a cross as thigh giving a quick prayer for courage. Opening the doors, the walked inside and begs to survey around, looking at everything around her and filing it away for later when she might need something, if anything. It felt a little more nerve wracking than she had first thought it would be, but she was willing to get out there again!

Luna figured a day of rest would be needed, between training and jobs she deserved a break. Walking through the streets without a purpose, she wondered what the day would hold for her. However she was spending the day fulfilling herself with enjoyment, starting with going to a sandwich shop, she was surprised that there was one that could order ahead so she would just have to pick up the order once it's ready. Walking into the shop, she walked to the counter, which was next to a display of premade subs and sandwiches, with a list of prices in the back. However she was almost embarrassed as she walked up to the counter to confirm her order. "He- hey, order 234?" The gruff man behind the counter sighed as he threw out the toothpick from within his mouth. "This is the eighteenth time you've ordered that and you've only been on Crystalli for little over a month. I think it's time you stop getting antsy about what you eat." Luna dropped the jewels on the counter, plus tipped a generous offer to the tips jar while the man went into the back. "Whatever, you're great for business anyways."

However as Luna was standing around waiting, she heard footsteps come from the doorway as she turned nervously to see what appeared to be a young girl with dragon wings folded up walk into the scene. Luna greeted to the redhead who appeared to be gazing about the room. Luna was almost overwhelmed by the cuteness, however she was unable to ascertain the age of the individual. Analyzing the curious behavior she had guessed the girl was not sure where she was, regardless friendly conversation never had hurt anyone. "Hey there, miss, are you alright?

Approaching the young girl, she couldn't help but admire the wings, as she never imagined meeting such a life form, but still constantly reminding herself that she was dealing with a child. Pulling out a notebook from the back pocket of her shorts, she took down notes on the dragonic features mixed with the humans before recalling she forgot to introduce herself. Putting the notebook away, she reached her hand out to meet the young girl's. "Forgive me for not introducing myself. I'm Luna, a member of the local guild Crystal Swan. I'm just picking up a light snack, but if you need help I'm around." However the gruff man returned holding a large sub wrapped up and put it down on the counter, looking at Luna. "Yo, Luna, you're 19th All-in with almost all the extra fixins is ready. Your next is gonna be half off, see you tomorrow I guess." Luna's face lit up red with embarrassment as she didn't want to seem like a pig to someone she just met, the shopkeeper was one thing but a complete stranger is a different story.

When the door opened, the bell at the top chimed and it had given her a slight jumped before she realized this... probably wasn't the guild. Not unless they ran it out of a store or something, but that concept seemed a little ridiculous. With a light sigh, she figured she would stay anyway and look into the type of store, maybe grab a bite to eat and drink then start fresh on a full belly. Her eyes gazed about the place, seeing the counter with a couple people behind it, a few deli slicers behind them, and several people about. None of them at the immediate moment of her entering took notice but one girl who had at what she would assume would be an equal length of hair that Madison had in a brighter pink color an eyes that could made a jade blush. It didn't take much to realize that she was getting the "first lookover" by her, which was fine. A strange young looking girl walking into a store all her lonesome was something anyone would have taken into account to worry about.

This stranger began to do something that the smaller demi-dragon was a little confused about. She started to take out a notebook and jotting something down, her eyes being watched as she looked over her head it seemed. Her head tilted to the side for a moment until she started to look behind her and realize what it was that caught her eye so easily. "Oh fudgesicle! I totally forgot about those!" She made no sudden movement, no bracing as though her next action would bring any pain or anything, but the wings slowly began to vanish behind her back, as if from the frontal view would make it look like they were being swallowed up. Once they were fully gone, the small red haired girl giggled and shrugged. "My apologies, Ms. Luna. I'm usually much more certain that my 'extra features' are hidden more often, however sometimes I simply forget. But never the less!" With a bright smile, Madison looked over to the counter as a man had placed a wrapped sandwich for the girl whom introduced herself before. "U-Um, excuse me, sir! If nobody else is waiting, may I order a simple ham and cheese Hoagie, please?" The man looked down and nodded, seeing that the other couple were being attended to already.

Being that they now had a couple minutes, the small red head looked back to the elder girl with the same prior smile on her face. "Oh, I'm Madison Richter! It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am! I was actually in uh.. town..? to find it, but if I might ask, could you help me get there?" The girl gave a curtsy and as she rose up, the girl fixed the Rosario on her neck, the cross hanging off of the choker. "If.. you'd like to talk for a bit, I think we have a moment before my food is ready." With a small giggle, Madison held her hands behind her back, one hand clasped in the other as she waited on the girls reply to her offer.

Luna was astounded by what she had just witnessed. She assumed that the girl was a hybrid but she never assumed that the being could control her physical being to the exent of inducing augmentation. Luna made a mental note as they shrunk that the young girl seemed to not react, as if it was a routine movement. "Astonishing.."

However she was glad to see someone had spent a great deal of time teaching manners to the girl when Madison introduced herself. However she had mixed feelings when the girl announced her intents on joining the guild. On one hand she was clearly more than just a average girlLuna was astounded by what she had just witnessed. She assumed that the girl was a hybrid but she never assumed that the being could control her physical being to the exent of inducing augmentation. Luna made a mental note as they shrunk that the young girl seemed to not react, as if it was a routine movement. "Astonishing.."

However she was glad to see someone had spent a great deal of time teaching manners to the girl as she introduced herself. Luna didn't guess at first she was looking to join however she connected the dots rather quickly and couldn't help but be worried about the fragile looking girl. Leading the girl to a table, Luna sat down as she prayed to be wrong. "Sure sure, no problem. I was considering visiting one of the guild libraries anyways. The guild hall is at the centre of town, I'll take you there later. Are you visiting someone in the guild? A parent perhaps?"

Luna tried to picture things that didn't click, she never heard of anyone with similar takeover magic but she wrote that off on the account of not know everyone, or the thought of a child doing jobs. True some are peaceful and don't require fighting someone, but even then there's always the possibility of a fight. "Sweet mother of Gaia please let this just be an innocent child.. "

As one in her shoes would have guessed, the small red heads wings having disappeared before her left the other girl in a bit of a shock. That was the least of her concerns really. She'd met boys her age that have wanted to touch them and asked for her to fly them around, but she always was in the vicinity of a nun whom she knew well, always turning down all the offers. She knew it didn't mean harm for them to at the very least touch the wings, but the respectful agreement that Madison made in return of her coming back to the church. Her abilities kept to herself in return for having a place to live. It was a small price to pay without a doubt, but she felt old enough to make her own decisions no matter what the subject may be. Still, she let out a sudden gasp and her jaw nearly dropped when she had mentioned a library. NO WAIT! "One of? You mean that Crystal Swan has multiple libraries!?" The sparkling look in her eyes was like she was just given the jackpot of gold for free.

That gleeful feeling quickly diminished when the topic of visiting came up. It wasn't so much that she was asked about it, but the idea of bringing up her parents were the real issue. Her father, a dragon that frankly nobody ever liked, and her mother a demoness who wreaked all kinds of havok in Fiore at one time. Neither of which she'd ever seen or heard from again had left her lost. Someone whom tried to piece her past together then getting what bits were brought to her ripped away, she needed something to help guide her choices. The one thing Madison knew would do that for her was to go back into the church. From there it could be in the hands of god as she always let guide her. Having had averted her eyes from Luna for the time she spent quiet on the topic, she tried to put on a smile, shrugging it off. "I... don't have parents, actually. I was raised in a church in Shirotsume, learning and training to go into the nunnery. But, the fact I'm also have magic makes me want to be part of a guild! And talking to other priests and nuns, I would be able to be both with no complications, so I know there's time!" A long winded explanation for sure, but she asked. It also solved another question in the same instance, so it wasn't all bad.

Luna was glad to see that someone besides her was excited by libraries, she could tell this girl was raised correct if she got excited by a library. "Thank Gaia for that at least." Luna answered the gleeful smile of the girl with a brief explanation."Yeah, there's the Crystalli public library open to all, there's another, smaller. less popular one on the other side of town. Mostly housing documents and scientific research. However technically not a library, I heard in the higher floor of the guildhall is a meeting room with books. Only high ranking guild members have access to it though."

Luna listened intently to the story of the young girl and tried her best to not shed any tears and cease a slight twitching in her left hand as she found the story of the child sad. However she too could sympathize with growing up without parents, but unlike the girl before her Luna had a small chance to get to know her own. "I nearly ended up in a nunnery myself, you see, I never really got to know my parents either. They died while I was young. It was just me, and my four brothers. My eldest brother worked hard, and got harsh criticism for years as he and my second eldest worked their arses off to support everyone."

However Luna didn't want to say anything about the girls plans to live both lives she wanted but she had to at least give the girl a chance to reflect on the implications before she took a step too far and couldn't have either. She was afraid that the girl was suffering the most classic of weaknesses, lack of a variety of wisdom from inexperience. While churches can offer great discipline, she knew that the uniformity could have negative consequences when someone tries to explore something like the mage life. "I see, but are you absolutely certain? Just because you have magic doesn't mean you need to use it. I don't mean to persuade you one way or the other, but just consider what this means. Even a legal mage has to get their hands dirty sometimes, and you might learn secrets that will shatter preconceived notions about organizations. Plus you are quite young, you don't need to rush things. I do think the guild would be lucky to have someone like yourself aboard though."

If Luna had seen how the girl had been watching her as she explained all about the towns own reading sources, it would be like a little kid being read a bed time story for the ages. Her attention was fully focused on the stranger as she explained and even at the mention of the higher tiered access of books inside of the guild. To her, that was a dream goal. Prove herself enough to get into there and be able to learn more than she probably could even have hoped for. Smiling lightly while she watched and listened to the whole explanation word for word until she had finished. ”Oh my gosh! That sounds so great! I’m sure I’ve read a decent bit if the main library here has an inventory similar to the one in Shirotsume! Excluding the adult section that I’m not allowed in, I think I’ve read nearly everything. But, I’ve made time to do other things so I haven’t had the time to dedicate that I wanted to again.” She gave a happy little smile once she finished, keeping her attention solely to the girl before her.

In the moment between their conversation, a voice from before had called out to them. Not knowing her name, he had simply called her shorty, but instead of some dirty look of annoyance or a pout of being nicknamed like a child, she skipped over and picked up the food, taking out a small pocket purse of sorts from the inside of her jacket and handed the jewels to him for the food. ”Please keep the change, sir.” She said, leaving quite a hefty sum to him. A bit shocked by it, he had just watched her walk over to Luna once again, holding her food in its wrapper. It was after that, that Luna began to reveal a bit of a similar experience she’d gone through in her life. It.. was rather comforting to know someone who could relate to where she came from. It was more motivation to join than a deterrent honestly, though from the sound of it she had more baggage with having family then Madi did.

Now came the act of guidance. She knew something like this was coming to her at some point. Whether it be from her or another older member, Madi felt a little insulted, but she kept it hidden under a small giggle and a nod. ”I’m quite certain I can do it, Miss Luna. This would not be my first time being a guild while also having been kept to my solemn religious beliefs and what not. Besides, I am well aware that my actions could prove fatal, but I know so long as I pray for forgiveness under god that he shall forgive me. And that’s all I need to keep myself going.” Giving her resolve, the small red head turned part way towards the door of the shop. ”So, if you’re convinced, may I please be escorted?”

Luna listened to the young girl's resolve, nodding as she acknowledged the girls resolve to try to live how she pleased. Most of all she didn't want the young girl to feel forced into anything, especially when she has options Luna sometimes wish she had as a child. Standing up, Luna started to walk out the door. "Sure, I never needed convincing. Just, a little jealous, you have opportunities that I wish I had at your age and I don't want you to feel forced. I'm a mage because I have no choice." No formal education, no support, not safe around those who knew her for her entire life, she really had no where else to go. She could've been a bartender, waitress, or cleaner, but that would not pay great for extensive work. Plus Luna couldn't have gotten far, before they, no, he would find her. A shiver went down her neck on the thought of being found, almost driving her to the fear of looking over her shouldering every time she walked.

However now was no time to let her own past cloud the present, she led Madison outside of the store and down the street to go turn on a specific one. "Getting to the guild hall is easy, it's the core of Crystalli, point 0,0. All you need to do is walk up to a street that runs to it's core. The trickier parts are trying to go shopping, or finding your residence." However that subject did start to dwell on Luna very heavily. This girl was raised right, she was a polite young lady and from what Luna could infer, quite responsible. However she was still a child, and Luna was not entirely comfortable about letting such a minor live on her own. "Which reminds me, as a Crystal Swan member, you get free residence in almost any place, which, have you, given though to that?"

Luna knew that she couldn't tell the girl what she could and couldn't do, but even then, she was looking at what she could believe as the purest of children. She was worried that the pressures and experience of the various jobs will give the girl nightmares, and even for a few years having someone nearby would be a great comfort. Unwrapping part of her sandwich wrap, she decided to sneak in a few bites before arriving at the guild hall. As she unwrapped, it seemed like the sandwich tried to burst out but failed, and between the bread seemed like a cornucopia of all possible ingredients: marinated chicken, bits of steak, bacon, lettuce, red onions, caramelized onions, pickles sliced vertically, mustard, ranch, and both cheddar and Swiss cheese as well as what appeared to be tater tots just barely bigger then the bacon bits that were stuffed with garlic.

A few minutes later, the duo arrived at the center of the city, and in front of a bridge facing the front door of the guild hall. "See, it's real easy to find. After you, you don't want me blocking the way, it gets better on the inside."

Giving little thought to how Luna seemed to feel about having Madison joining the guild, she had seemed to give a standard looking child's curious look. The look they give when they are listening and trying to understand or figure out what it is they're talking about. However, in Madi's case it was a bit different as far as what her curiosity was geared towards. Why did she have to be jealous? Why did she feel as though having magic was more of a punishment than a gift? She couldn't sit by and let it go. "You shouldn't feel that way at all, Ms. Luna. Having magic is a gift in it of itself, no matter how one receives it. It's my understanding that everyone has this gift from god to pursue a purpose, but that purpose is for us to go after. Some choose to let greed take over and want the power of it for sinful ways. I myself believe mine-- despite all there is about me, would end up to help people. I'm sure in their own way a number of people believe the same, though their levels of belief may not be nearly as high or higher as my own. Everyone's given a chance to use their gift wisely, it's just all about how you use it that matters!" With a cheerful smile and a small giggle to boot, the smaller girl hoped she could cheer her up some.

Joining in the fact that Luna was going to eat, the demi-dragon had decided to do the same. Unwrapping the upper half of her hoagie, she looked over for a moment at the monumental looking meal that Luna had. Her eyes widened a little in surprise watching her eat, but it only felt like a mirror, really. Not so much in having a thick sandwich but... well she'd make the point. Her mouth opened up, almost unhinging as she began to swallow part of the long breaded meal before chomping off some, taking nearly a quarter of the size and chewing it up. The strangest part was the casual bit of how happy she felt eating it even in such a large amount. Giving one large gulp, she exhaled a breath and blinked. "Wow! That's soo good! I'm famished too, so this works out so well!~" She took in another large bite, showing off a bit of the more feral traits that she still bore inside of her at this point.

As she swallowed the next chunk of her food, her attention still retained 100% to the pink haired girl by her side as they headed in. Having mentioned that the guild was at the very center of the town ship, she shrugged at the idea of having to walk around to find it. "I could just fly over too, but that wouldn't help getting to know some of the places around and finding good places. But one day at a time~" Coming to a stop in front of the doors to the hall, Madison looked up and around in awe of the look of the guild hall simply from the outside. Giving a heave to the doors to open them, she stepped inside of the hall with an audible squeal. The place was huge and it looked so pretty from the inside. Though she came from a place where aesthetics were nothing but unnecessary, this was something in an entirely new realm for her. "Woooow! It's so pretty!~"

As the two entered, Luna couldn't help but notice the the excited reaction of the child as she took in the scenery of the guild hall. However Luna figured better to get the basic stuff out of the way first as she grabbed the girl by the shoulder and led her across the first floor. "You can explore later. First off young lady you need to get the official registration out of the way." Luna hoped she could get her in fast and out before someone started happy hour. Approaching the bar, she noticed that it seemed almost empty, however the bartender seemed to be busy. Checking over her shoulder, she checked for any incoming parties to be wary of. Grabbing the bar she hopped over it getting to the other side, before knelling down to pick up the magic emblem stamper before placing it down on the bar, before climbing over again.

Leaning against the bar, she held the magic stamper as she looked at the child, hoping to Gaia that she would place the emblem on her shoulder or hand, given that the emblem might need to be checked various times. "So, if you're ready, tell me where you want your guild emblem tattooed on your body..." Luna briefly looked over the girls shoulder, looking out for any incoming parties before returning her focus to the young girl. "Also be a bit quick in deciding. Don't want you hanging around here too long, this is a spawning grounds for chaos."

The parental tone of voice had made Madison flinch from her little joyful sight seeing within the guild hall. She wasn't very fond of being spoken that way by anyone, let alone someone whom she'd just met, but here she was. Still, with the kindness she was shown with being brought here, there was an easy time with her being able to cast it aside for the time being. "Wait, you mean right now? I don't have to sit down and meet the guild master or any of the guild aces?" The smaller red head asked as she made her way towards the bar hopping girl. She was admittedly more surprised than anything, caught off guard by the girl so quickly pushing her toward entering so much so to do it herself.

She had become a little impatient about her wanting to get stamped and move along. She had claimed it to be that chaos ensued and the idea that it might drive her away made her giggle. "If you're worried about me dealing with others, Miss Luna, please feel free to think otherwise. I've dealt with a plethora of things in my days both through the orphanage and in my shorter time in my first guild. There's nothing too bad- short of murder in any form aside from the dire situation for your own life in danger, could keep me out of joining a guild." She stepped closer and then looked down, pulling up the left side of her shirt just in front of her leg in location just enough to give her room to stamp without any issues. "If I may have it here, then whenever you're ready~" The spot was bare, but it was clear there were prior marks there. Something she'd never share concerning the backstory behind why it existed, but it was up to Luna if she cared to bring up the reason for it.
