- Job Info:
Artemis was strutting along to footpath, a confident air in his step. What a perfect job for him. He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw it. A Date. A little kitty needed a cuddle. How perfect. Art was well aware that the physique of this woman might not be to his... standards. But if it got to that, he could just take her to a bar and drink until she looked like his standards. Or he could fake it. Either way he was definitely getting paid for this. He found the prospect of being a one night escort very amusing. He looked around the garden, it was quite a cheesy date spot. Not his idea of fun, he would prefer somewhere much more lively. A rose garden, how cliché. He thought. He did not care from pretty flowers and gazing at scenery. It was dull.
He spotted a girl sitting on a blanket in the middle of a garden. She was wearing a white rose in her hair indicating she was the one of the day. She kept turned her head back and forth, her expression frantic. Clearly she thought she was going to be stood up. He smirked at the sight of her. She wasn't exactly a beauty to behold, but she wasn't hideous. She was just average, a plain jane at best. Muddy brown hair and thin lips, a little to much make up around the eyes. What had the letter said, she was suicidal, and needed to feel like a woman. That he could do.
He made his way over to the woman, as she searched for him. Her wide eyes landed on him, his smirk transferred what he believed was a polite smile. Her eyes raked over him as he approached, the corners of her lips rose, she was pleased. And of course she would be, he was a handsome specimen afterall. He would even go as far as to say out of her league, unless he was drunk or bored. The latter suited the situation, so he just justify his needs, and there was the money.
"Hey there beautiful," He said smoothly, before flicking his hair out of his eyes. She stared at him, mesmerized for a moment.
"Hi...Ummm I'm Esme." He kneeled down on the blanket next to her, closing the proximity beween them,
"Emma, that's a beautiful name." He told her, she flushed a little.
"Oh no, I hate it, it's awful, it's my grandmothers name." He titled his head at her, she seemed almost irritated when she said it.
"So Esme, tell me about yourself." He said, the woman stared into his face for a moment. Before she opened her mouth to release a tangent of the longest list of compliants he had ever listen to.
"Well I'm thirty two, and I've pretty much lived here my entire life. As had my family, my childhood was pretty rough as far as I would say. My parents were always busy doing whatever, and weren't there to support. I had friends but they pretty much all ditched me as we got older, although that may have had something to do with me confessing to their boyfriends. But why should I hold back my feelings right? So yeah anyway that sucked, I currently work in the fields, which is just so dull. Her hands are always so far and my back hurts-"
Art sat their, unable to get a word in edgewise as Esme went on and on about her problems. She didn't not how to shut up. Art stared into space as she droned on and on, this had not been what he expected. Not to mentioned, this girl was the exact type of person he hated. Did nothing but complain about their own problems when everything was their fault anyway. Never doing anything to better their situation, just seeking the attention of others in order to fill the void that was their own pathetic lives.
The woman talked so much, Art thought he blacked out for a bit. He had been passing her the occasional 'mhmm' and 'that must be so hard on you.' This was a job afterall, he couldn't very well tell her what he truly thought of her. No matter how much he wanted to. As the sun began to set, he sighed, it was getting to the end of their date. Had she been better company he might of invited her to a bar to continue, but he couldn't deal with this creature any longer than he had to.
The two of them stood up, walking back through the gardens. "Thank you for listening to me all afternoon, turns out I really just needed someone to vent to. You're an amazing listener, and easy on the eye too." She said flirtatiously, it was little too late, no amount of seducation could rid the last few hours of her moaning.
"It's been a pleasure," He lied through gritted teeth. She didn't seem to pick up on his lack of energy at all, thats just how self absorbed she was.
"Maybe we could meet again some time," He smirked, No way in hell.
"If fate wishes it, it'll be so, until then my lady." He leaned down, taknig her hand, he planted a kiss on it. Before turning away into the night, looking for the closest in that he could drown his memories in.
