Mythica stood her ground as the woman before her told her that she would see her there. Not knowing exactly how this was going to work out, she raised her eyebrow curiously as Nyx seemingly vanished right before the time wizard's eyes. But she did leave the being known only as Lux behind. She stared at it for a moment before it quickly wrapped itself around Mythica's arm. She did not fight it, sensing it had no hostile intentions. Instead she let do its thing, and felt the magic begin to circulate. It may have been an uncomfortable feeling, having this odd tentacle snaking around her arm, but Mythica had been in worse situations before. Something that she had gotten more used to overtime when meeting strange people among her travels. THey never ceased to surprise Mythica, even if she could see their immediate future.
The lamp lit up brilliantly for a moment, causing Mythica to squint slightly before the world around her changed rapidly. One moment she had been standing alone in the empty forest path, and the next she appeared to be in some sort of research lab? Mythica could only assume this lab was used by whoever owned what they had been looking for. She appeared a few feet behind Nyx, and watched the woman quickly cut a bloody swath through the poor souls who had simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was interesting to see her fight. She was sloppy, yet efficient at the same time. She obviously did not care about making a mess, as blood splattered the floor and walls, and even onto Mythica's dress. The entire time she just stood perfectly still in the shadows, admiring the scene as the yells and screams of Nyx's victims filled the room. Her eye pulsing slowly in the darkness, lighting the area around her. Nyx continued to surprise her when she chose to apparently not use any magic in this battle. Interesting. Mythica herself rarely fought anyone without her magic, because frankly, her body was quite frail and somewhat weak without it. She was only human after all. At least that's what she wanted to believe. Despite her Inugami lineage, she chose to believe she was nothing special without her magic. It made using it easier. That, and she actively avoided using anything about her lineage. She had no idea if it gave her faster reflexes or enhanced strength. All she knew is that when she tasted blood, her memories vanished and she'd wake up some time later half naked and covered in the remains of anyone who got in her way. While that would normally sound like something Mythica didn't have much of a problem with, her mind felt twisted and scattered, and she would have immense headaches afterwards. Not something she was keen on reliving.
As Nyx finished off the last of the scientists in the room, Mythica simply chuckled. "Nice work. I've seen few wizards capable of killing as many men as you did without the use of magic. In that amount of time, anyways." She said honestly as she stepped out of the shadows. The surprises kept coming, and it was quite exciting. Now Mythica had her suspicions beforehand, but this display Nyx pulled off confirmed them. While it was obvious Nyx wasn't exactly human, Mythica suspected she hadn't been in life either. (This was of course assuming Nyx's ghostly appearance was in fact because she had died.) Mythica had encountered the ghosts of humans before, but almost none were capable of feats that Nyx pulled off. Of course, this was just speculation, and before she delved too deep into the mystery that was this other woman, Mythica wanted to observe her more, and find out for herself what exactly she was.
Before anything else could be said, there was a loud banging at the door. Behind it were several muffled yells. Security no doubt. They hadn't exactly entered the grounds secretly after all. Mythica turned lazily to the door and then looked back at Nyx, winking with a chuckle before her two weapons had flashed into her palms. The flintlock pistol Nyx had seen before, and the musket that came with the set. Mythica's precognition kicked in and she foresaw several armed men behind the door, about 7, preparing to burst inside. She'd beat them to it. With one deep breath, Mythica closed her eyes. After a moment, she instantly opened both, her golden clock eye shining brilliantly and suddenly a yellow magic seal appeared in the air behind her! It depicted a clock face, and essence of its magic spread across the room! And with one burst of yellow magic, Mythica shot forwards at insanely fast speeds! It didn't appear as though she was a fast runner though. The flash was mere instant and it seemed as if she had jumped through time itself! Just as the men were about to break down the door, Mythica destroyed it first! The impact caused the large metal door to break off its hinges and instantly crush a poor soul who stood too close. The others were blown back several feet, all rolling and falling to the ground. Mythica stood atop the broken door, blood pooling out from underneath it staring at all of them with a wide grin. They quickly got to their feet and one gave the order to open fire. They did as instructed, all releasing a flurry of bullets at Mythica... But before a single one got near her, she vanished. The girl appeared again instantly behind one of the guards, the flintlock at the back of his neck. One push of the trigger and a magical projectile tore straight through his flesh and out the other side! He choked on his own blood as he tried to hold his neck. Before he could even fall to the ground, Mythica delivered a hard kick in the back, making him flying on the ground as she spun around to greet the other men. Still confused as to how she had gotten to their position so quickly, they hesitated... Their mistake. A bright light began to glow behind two of them. As they turned to see the source two long black metal clock hands spun around them! The light was a floating clock face which had extended its hands into long, terrifying tendrils! The two were pulled back instantly as the clock incapacitated them! Finally one man charged straight for her with the back of his weapon, attempting to hit her with it! Mythica sidestepped, and forced the weapon on the ground before kneeing him hard in the face! He stumbled backwards screaming as she had broken his nose, and Mythica simply held out her pistol and shot at his chest. However, her bullet did no damage. He looked at her with a confused expression to see her still smiling, and then he noticed a light. He looked downwards to see a magic seal on him that looked like a the signature clock face Mythica's magic tended to use often. Although this one was moving... It was counting down? Before he even had another chance to react, One of the clock hands darted towards the guard and slammed into his side, causing him to go flailing through the air straight into the crowd of his buddies. They stared at him in confusion as they looked at his chest. And when the second hand on the seal struck 12, it flashed, and then exploded. Instantly all 4 of them cried out and then went silent...
The entire room went silent for that matter. Mythica stood still, hoisting her musket over her shoulder and gave a cocky grin towards the scene. Behind her the clock tendrils quickly squeezed. With muffled yells, the two guards struggled quickly, but then went still. The clock face then vanished into the air and the two slumped to the ground, their bodies twisted and contorted as blood trickled from the cracks of their armor. "We must be in the right spot. They really don't want us to be here." She chuckled towards her ghostly companion.
