Post by Sol 8th June 2017, 11:02 am

Sol nodded to Famine as he quickly moved forward and sunk in fangs into her shoulder gently to immunize her from any poisons he used before he smirked and with a powerful beat of his wings he took off into the air and with a few flaps was right behind the basilisk queen but he was high enough and far enough behind her he wouldn’t catch the sight of its eyes. What he did see however was a large flaming hawk approaching the queen and himself and he readied himself for combat. However it seemed that the woman on the hawk wasent aiming for him but in fact the queen and once he heard something whistling he caught sight of the object the girl threw heading towards the basilisks eye.

Sol reacted almost instantly”Enkidu” he uttered as a portal opened beside him and suddenly a long chain blade shot out and struck the offending item before it reached the snakes eyes, hearing whistling again in the air the poison dragon quickly snapped his fingers and his chain disappeared from the spot it was at before it shot out of the portal again and connected to the other item in question before the dragon suddenly heard explosions where the items where, it had been distracting but Sol had managed to protected the queens eyes and he growled before he unleashed a powerful roar .”go forth and destroy as much as you wish leave none alive! “ he snarled as the queen suddenly hissed loudly as she moved deeper into the city with Sol staying close by to make sure she was ok though the slayer did see Famine starting to square off with a mage and Sol decided to stay close to the queen and also keep an eye on his guild master in case she needed him.

Do you feel it? The ghostly presence...behind you.
Time seemed to past at snails pace as the girl sat on the ledge of the altar in Hargeon. Artemis had been instructed to go to large town the day before and await group B's arrival at the port in which they would arrive with the ship stocked with said serpents. At first the girl was averse to doing so and explicitly told Famine that she didn't feel comfortably leaving her side and expressed that if something were to happen to Sol, even though she deeply looked up to him she was still cautious, the guildmaster would have to defend herself and Artemis preferred her to not waste her energy. But alas there was no point due to Famine already having everything set in motion, so accepting the role given she said goodbye to her family members and left for the warm town of Hargeon.

The sunlight shone brightly on the town the day she finally turned up, it's citizens were so kind and happy she began to feel bad for the destruction that was soon to come but she laughed it off heading deeper into town looking for a place to stay overnight. Arty hesitated as she made her way to an inn that looked somewhat deserted and for good reason too, the double doors had damp and mould growing across the sides and the brass handles had rusted beyond repair, turning to the left she noticed the windows were hazy and the sill unclean. Not so much of clean freak but still presentation said everything about you as well as where you come from and now seeing this she hoped the towns downfall would come sooner. The temperature seemingly dropped as well giving her some shivers forcing her to enter the atrocity in front, kicking the door in she bounded through the establishment asking for the owner and was shocked to find out that the place was desolate. Incredibly odd. "Arty, why...of all places in the beautiful Hargeon you took it upon yourself to delve into this hellhole" Angeline muttered with clear distaste in her voice and accompanying her was another familiar voice "For once I agree with Angeline, you could've done better. I...I'm disappointed" Azreal grunted causing the girl to roll her eyes. Storming upstairs she opened a door close to her and quickly made herself at home, the reason for her haste was that she needed to do something before she went off at the two voices in her head.

"You know if you two have such a problem with these unfortunate circumstances, come outside and do something worthwhile" She exclaimed tapping the side of her head twice making the voices yelp in annoyance. "Haha! I see you've regained your fangs Ms Basilisk. We'll be out sooner than you think Artemis don't you worry, but for now we're stuck in your head so all of us are getting use to it" Azreal chuckled bounding sound around the poor witch's head.

Birds chirped and the sound of chit chat below her bedroom window stirred the sleeping villainess. Rubbing away the yellowed crust in the corner of her eyes she sighed and was about to lay back down before realising that today was the day, buzzing with sudden energy she ran amok trying to get ready hoping that she wasn't going to be late for the big finale. Eventually Artemis was ready gear loaded and irritating voices in her head still talking, she headed down the stairs off the still barren inn and left into the land of the living. Speeding through alleys and groups of people she decided it best to gain a vantage point on the whole town for obvious reasons, resulting in her ending up on the very edge of the Altar in the middle of the area.

Back to the present Arty was grinning slightly at the crazed madness below her noticing the huge basilisk queen crushing building after building and freezing many of its victims in stone, to later crush them with her elongated tail. "Brilliant...just brilliant. I assume it's my cue now anyways" She muttered noticing that Sol was guarding the large queen via flying beside it. She clicked her fingers which subsequently caused the bonds to form around them, leaping off the edge in an eagle like style Arty began to fly through the air at amazing speeds and she decided on flying in close to where the ship was zipping past Sol giving him a smirk and swooping past Famine showing the same affection noticing that her master was otherwise occupied with an unusual looking man seeming to be the enemy. The girl was about to land on the ship before it exploded sending her a few feet away rupturing her flight path. Landing on the ground instead she dusted herself off and looked at the fiery remains of the vessel, Artemis silently hoped that her comrades had escaped in time should they have been in there. Something took her attention away from the busted remains, atop a post a female with an unusual mask sat looking very lax. She was of course from Lamia Scale as her attire gave it away to Arty, she was going to intervene but decided against it as she had a feeling that another Fang was occupying her.

As she stood to leave she locked eyes with a hooded figure who was attempting to guide some citizens away to safety. "Let's ruin some lives!" She chuckled alongside the voices in her head as she sped up towards the man, along this time Artemis utilised her 'Nullified' ability and held the curved poison tipped weapon in her hand with it's chain. When the gap between the two was approximately ten or so metres she threw it with incredible precision watching arc into the his direction at speeds of 7.5mph, should he be hit by it the man would feel his magical abilities slowly sap away as well as the feeling of paralysis due to the amazing properties of the poison.

Post by James Steel 8th June 2017, 7:44 pm

James was near the docks floating in the air, he was shouting as loudly as he could to get people to leave their homes before impending doom destroyed them. With as many snakes as there were, James couldn't see Lamia Scale coming out on top, but the pride inside him refused to give in. He would not allow his newly made family to be destroyed so easily. As people ran from their homes, James noticed a near by member of Basilisk Fang fly by toward the ship. It exploded a moment later, so James figured they may have died in it. They deserved such a fate for killing innocents, at least in James' opinion.

Just as he had though he was in the clear however, the member of the fang he saw fly by locked eyes with him. He knew a fight was about to go down, one he couldn't afford to lose. Just as he entered a combat stance a chain came flying through the air. James was pierced in the stomach by the hook at the end of the chain, unfortunately for him, it was some sort of poison spell...

The wound looked grim, James did the only thing he could think of. With his left hand he grabbed the chain attached to his stomach, and tore out the hood. His glowing blue blood then dripped from his wound. "You may have wounded me, but that will only hasten your defeat!". James then stuck out his right hand and pointed it at Arty. The glowing blue blood rose from the ground, and formed into a baseball size orb hovering in front of James' right hand. "Go to hell Basilisk scum!" he shouted angrily as the orb shot forth from his hand toward Arty.

The flashing red lights illuminated the sky in a dark crimson.  The Hull of the vessel turned in to a dark shadow looming over the Martial Artist from which an ominous and loud Hiss sounded.  A pair of Golden glowing eyes escaped the vessel and managed to slither around Shen.  The flashing red Lights illuminated portions of the beasts body, revealing red scales that slithered around and between debris and buildings, never fully coming in to view of the Martial Artist.  more hissing came from the wreck, drawing Shen's attention back towards the vessel and upon looking up towards the dark hull of the ship, a feminine silhouette moved through the crimson sky and leaped from the ship, landing gracefully before Shen.

The slender woman lowered her hood, revealing her Golden locks and cunning visage.  Shen's eyes narrowed as he looked upon her, feeling an ominous sensation from her presence.  It was the same feeling one would get when they knew they were being lied to.  An overwhelming anticipation that you were about to get stabbed in the back.  Shen could not accurately predict what she was thinking.  She wore her beautiful face like a mask, to hide the Snake behind it.  "Is that really all you have to say for yourself!?"  Shen shouted, replying to the woman's words, while the sounds of chaos and panic from the town's civilians filled the air as they were being attacked by a swarm of poisonous serpents.

"You will pay for bringing this terror upon my new home!"  Shen's focus was disrupted by his anger placed upon Famine, who without remorse kicked a corpse behind her in to the harbor.  Her devilish smirk and demeanor was a flawless representation of everything Shen hated, and in his anger he failed to notice the slithering presence of monsters circling him in the shadows.  A pair of Golden eyes and a massive set of fangs struck at him from behind and at the last second the Martial Artist reacted, leaping to the side landing on his hands just as a second massive serpent slithered in to view and struck at Shen, who leaped from his hands in to the air and landed even farther from the slender woman.

Two more gigantic serpents slithered unto the dock from the water, one with a corpse laying inside of its mouth, which it tossed in to the air with a flick of its head and opened its massive jaw and swallowed the dead sailor whole.  The 4 Basilisk sisters  slithered around their mother, and glared at Shen with Golden eyes.  Upon looking up in to the eyes of one of the Basilisk sisters, Shen felt tremendous pain and a tightening of his joints and muscles, as if his entire body were becoming a single solid piece.  Immediately shutting his eyes, Shen avoided being turned in to stone, but he felt short of breath and drained.  Had he continued to stare in to the beasts eyes, he might've actually been turned in to stone, but the powers that resided within him did not permit it this time...  "These things... They're dangerous..." Shen diverted his gaze and stared directly in to Famine's eyes.  This battle was going to be unlike any he'd fought before.

Challenging: Famine & The 4 Basilisk Sisters.

Out on the waters of the harbor, a happy whistle could be heard, carried along by the sea breeze. Paddle to salty water, a wooden hull just barely breaking the waves. A tall, slim man sat on a glorified pile of wood known as a dingy, facing away from the shore and pulling the handles of a pair of oars toward him before pushing them away in a circular motion, whistling the tune of a song he could not remember the lyrics too. The black hat on his green head of hair rustled a bit in the wind along with long black duster, a great deal of noise stirring up in the town behind him.

"Hmm, sounds like something big's going down..." He muttered to himself, a smile on his features as his eyes seemingly squinted against the sun, despite the fact that he was facing away from it. "Seems I picked a fine day to pull into the neighborhood." There was no sarcasm in his voice, suggesting that he was honestly delighted to be arriving at such a time. However, his joyous mood was interrupted when his vessel suddenly struck something, that something being the harbor wall. "Oh, looks like I made it. Uh, I mean..." He got up from his seat, and cleared his throat. "Land Ho!" The strange man shouted at the top of his lungs, cup his hands in front of his mouth to form a makeshift megaphone. After that, he scrambled up the wall with surprising efficiency, though it helped that said wall was no tall than he was from the surface of the water. Upon clambering over the edge of the dock, the outsider took a look about the place.

Magical battles, giant monsters, random bystanders trying to get out of the way; it had all the makings for the best of fun. As such the man was almost giddy at thought of getting caught up in whatever mess was afoot, quickly spotting to menacing looking types staring each other down. One was a man, from Midi by the look of him. The other seemed to be a Fioran woman, both likely around the same age. Unable to help himself, the newcomer nearly skipped his way over to trouble in all its obviousness.

"Hey there!" He said with an upbeat tone, as though he didn't pose the slightest threat. "Er, uh...Ahoy, um...mateys!" The would-be sailor for a day then looked at the man, then the woman. Then back to the man, then back to the woman.

    Back to the man.

    Back to the woman.

"You folks gonna have a starin' contest?" He finally asked, unperturbed by the hostility in the air. "Okay, I call ref!" The now referee of the staring contest that probably wasn't actually happening sprinted to a spot in between the too, yet out of their line of sight. "On your mark!" He held his had int the air. "Get set!" Then he swung it down in front of him as though it were a blade.

    "Go!"

The mysterious traveler then simply stood there with an excited grin, looking back and forth to see what would happen next.

Hargeon. My least favorite place that contained my favorite people. It had been a long while since I'd seen the castle that stretched high into the sky above the aquamarine seas that Hargeon lay beside. I walked down to the streets beneath my heels and landed, quiet as a mouse, before taking off again towards the castle. The wind itself smelled sour, like over-ripe foods coming back to haunt those that left them out. I landed on the tallest Scouting Tower that was connected to the Pallisades that sheltered our little castle. I took a peer out onto the scene, and to my oh so annoyed surprise, I chose the absolute worst time to come visiting, I swear I have terrible timing. I shrugged, and thought to myself eh, at least there's combat. Before running to where it seemed this carnage was coming from: An exploded ship, where several suspicious individuals were escaping onto the streets of Hargeon, with a small army's worth of what looked to be Basilisks, each larger and deadlier than the last. I sighed, and with a sense of combat decorum, I dropped from the height that I gathered, nigh on two hundred feet into the sky, and dropped, blade first, from the sky, dropping down into an area were some unruly snakes were going ahead from the group. With a whistling noise as I descended, and a flash of shadow, the cobblestones beneath the shattered city street erupted into a debris filled cacophony of showering, shattered stone, and now eviscerated snakes. I took my bade, and swung it visciously in a half circle's worth of distance, splattering the coagulated blood onto the street. I turned and laughed as three snakes, all about my size, even though signs of immaturity were spattered here, there, and everywhere with these large snakes. I sighed, and with the slightest of ringing noises, I offed their heads with the Hiken: Tsubame Gaeshi, trampling over their corpses with ease. I turned, and with the fading hair color, shifting to black that is, I licked the blood off of the Ebon Blade before taking off again, standing far up into the sky, hopefully far enough away from these unknown assailants, that they couldn't hit me, but they could hear me. I said, with a resounding voice: "Assailants of Hargeon! I command thee, Identify thyselves, and turn yourselves in! It is the only way to abstain thyselves from the sting of my blade. Those who don't wish to fight, throw down your weapons, and hide yourself away. If you do wish to fight me, you'll find no more eager an opponent than Lamia Scale, the Beast Hunters' Guild! As well as I, Aera Tylidae, Master of the Ebon Blade, and Twin Goddess of Memory!" With that, I dropped back down, and split the tide of serpents in two, moving them aside as I waited for my first challenger!
Challenged @Basilisk Fang, and aside from theatrics, the only special move used was the Hiken: Tsubame Gaeshi.
    Hiken: Tsubame Gaeshi: Cooldown started.

A pale, soft, hand came to slide up against the warm skin of one of her snakes she relished in the sensation of the muscles flexing and breathing gently beneath the pelt of scales. Softly, taunting sapphires flickered to look in his direction in a gesture of malevolence “And you will pay for your foolishness.” She spoke with that signature venomous and a crack of a smile at the left corner of her lip.

Famine suppressed a laugh, watching how he leapt and jumped around only to avoid the slashes and strikes of the preying serpents, Seeing the agile opponent only getting farther with every bounce, she took it upon herself now to begin patiently stepping down the dock after them opposed to The massive snakes which held a quick and steady chase. “Don’t tell me your done so soon. She cackled, still stepping forward to close more distance between them until he was only a few yards away. "You want to kill me, right? Take a look around you at everything I’ve already done to your quaint little home.” She taunted him with a palm gesturing to the horizon where she could already see smoke billowing across Hargeon.

Poking around nerves and sticking forks in opponents was something Famine often indulged in, Many grew irrational at the taunting, often this aped them to make the very first move which more often than not opened them up for the same counter attack that Famine used to end their life. However, she could tell the stranger standing ahead of her was not just any opponent, he succeeded her own power. She wouldn’t be able to dispose of them with one jab....

Though, Famine would rather die than grant him the satisfaction of backing down now, even if she could not see herself winning. She’d fight them, anyone that dared stand in her way.

Multiple members in the guild hall started to head outside while a lot of noise was coming from there. Zoey decided to go take a look too. After all, maybe it was nothing, but it could be something serious. Especially since so many members either didn't seem to be here or started to leave in a hurry. The young girl followed them towards the port and she couldn't believe what waited for them here.

"That's... not right? Snakes aren't that aggressive... and if they were certainly not that bold." She murmured as she saw the massive amount of snakes leave the ship and head towards the harbor. She didn't really want to do this, but if nothing was done the townsfolk would be in danger. Zoey could not let that happen, even if it meant offing these snakes.

Quickly the young woman wet her finger and put in the air. It didn't take long before Zoey knew which side the wind was coming from. Once she knew that she would position herself a little further away from the harbor upwind so she could let the wind carry her spores to the snakes. She grew some plants in line about 1 meter away from each other and the spores would start to come out of the plants. The wind carried them towards the approaching snakes. After the current people started fighting and the snakes didn't seem to have much attention she let her spores explode. Severely harming most of them and directly killing some of the weaker ones. While a new set of spores was already leaving her plants, she seemed to have earned the attention of the snakes that survived, which were charging straight at her.

Sol could only grin at the carnage that was being unleashed in the town of Hargeon and he decided to stop wasting time and really get bloody. He took a deep breath before he suddenly caught the scent of a slayer and it smelled artifical which made him sneer. He exhaled while blood red tribal markings appeared on his body, if any in the vicinity were familier with Eris then they would sense her power at work thru him before he took in another breath before unleashing a roar like no other. This roar despite coming from what looked to be a human was in actuality a dragon roar and with the dark magic in his body it caused a wave of dread to wash over the whole town causing everyone from the weakest to the strongest to feel intense dread though for any slayer in the area it would be magnified due to the presence of Acnologias blood inside Sols body.

Once he finished his roar the dark dragon spotted the source of the slayers smell and it was Famines opponent, Sol knew he had enough time to land a few strikes on the false slayer before returning to babysit the queen so he grinned widely as he suddenly collapsed his wings and he allowed himself to drop from the sky and thru the spores that were in the air luckily avoiding the explosions and not touching them the slayer hit the ground and shifted to shadows while moving alonge the ground like it was water towards the other slayer.

Sol waited for the right moment when the man was distracted before he lunged out of the shadows at the mans unguarded back and incased himself in his poison drive as he aimed for two powerful slashes at the mans back intent on drawing blood before he would try to impale the man thru the shoulder with his razor sharp claws, any blood that was spilled would absorb into the mans shadow and into Sols little shadow dimension for further use. As he landed on the ground after emerging the slayer grinned viciously.”You have something you don’t deserve you false dragon let me fix that by ripping it out” he cackled as he flexed his claws and knew that the man was in hot water now. He may have been stronger then Famine or Sol alone but together and with four
basilisk sisters it was a very bad spot to be in.

Feitan was surprised to see that his spell had been blocked, but he had another tool for him to use for him to get out. The shield was something he could recognize as anti-demon, but he had another idea in mind which allowed him to escape. As he was repelled away from the shield he reached into his back where his sword was still strapped to his back, this was because his blade stays right where it is on his body unless he changes his body into something completely inhuman. In the same motion of him drawing it he sent his magic flowing through it causing the blade to not only take on its true form as he saw it, but he also sent more magic flowing through the blade than was necessary. No sooner had he landed on his feet again a few feet away from the shield than he gripped the blade in both hands swinging it in a horizontal slash in front of him. The action sent 10 thick shards of a crystalline substance flying straight into the shield. As soon as they touched it the shield would shatter into pieces, and if the clone was still standing there then she would be pierced by at least two of the shards being they were flying so close together.

With the shield gone, her other clones and their shields would be behind Feitan and unable to box him in. His avenue of escape now open to him again he would take full advantage of the extra speed he gained from the transformation and burst through the hallway out onto the deck of the ship before launching himself off of it. His aim was for the docks, where he would roll with the impact and keep running to clear some distance between him and the boat. In his experience when someone tried so hard to keep you in a place then it was the last place that you wanted to stay. So, with blade now in hand and should his plan have succeeded then he would be safely out of the blast zone when the ship exploded. Whipping his gaze around frantically he would snarl and rage, the madness consuming his eyes and showing all that he was completely gone. He would slaughter the person who had tried to blow him up like that, but he would make an example of their corpse if he had his way.

Soon his eyes would lock on the sitting little creature and he would snarl angrily at her “You.” He snarled “You are going to die screaming!” he bellowed his feet becoming encased in glowing purple aura showing just how ready he was to keep that threat. Gripping the blade he would put himself in a ready stance waiting for his opponent to try and make another kind of strange move, but now out here with more room to maneuver he wouldn’t be such an easy target.

The magic users had begun deploying, and battles had begun taking place throughout the city. Kaori was the first to choose her opponents, and naturally, she had chosen a capable one. The other had yet to make his move, which would prove advantageous to Kaori since it meant she didn't need to divert her attention as much. One of them had used an attack of sorts to remind Kaori of the most important thing a warrior could never forget... Absolute fear. It was the feeling a weakling felt in their final moments, a woman felt has her man died, and a leader felt when her people went extinct. Kaori wasn't perfect, she wasn't without fear; but, she had already experienced the most terrifying thing in her life. She watched her people die. She heard them scream, saw them bleed, smelled their corpses burning, tasted pain, and felt more fear in that time than she'd ever felt in the decade afterwards. Sol's fear inducing attack couldn't compare to that which she'd already felt; it had no effect on her.

Kaori heard the rabid dog's words as it declared that it'd kill her. The action didn't shake Kaori's resolve, nor did it cause her to feel concern. The dog didn't get angry because Kaori was a threat, but she'd gone and attacked its petty pride and now it had a wound or two. It was waiting for Kaori to move, but the problem is that there was four Kaori's... which one would move? Surely only one of them was the real Kaori. It would be as though Kaori wasn't actually taking the fight seriously, or rather, she wasn't taking Feitan seriously. Feitan would hear a big of rumbling as he noticed all four of the slits in the four Kaori's masks would begin glowing violet. The rumbling sound was the debris from the ship rising off the ground, soon after they'd begin launching themselves at Feitan. Meanwhile, the four Kaori's remained in the same position they were in before; not even bothering to make a movement to indicate which one was the real one. Among the debris was several barrels with lantern oil inside. They wouldn't explode upon impact, or anything extreme like that; but it would certainly be a slippery situation if any got on Feitan.

Post by Shen Hakuhei 4th July 2017, 12:37 pm

Shen's acrobatics narrowly avoided him a swift death by the fangs of the Basilisks that struck like lightning from every angle.  He didn't even have time to notice the goofy figure that decided to referee this battle.  The sisters slithered around him and trapped him within a large circle in which it seemed impossible to perceive where one Serpent began and ended, only their heads that stared intently towards the Martial Artist could be made out, anxiously waiting for the human to make eye contact and become trapped in a petrified state long enough to be made a meal out of.  Shen tried desperately to keep his eyes away from theirs, a feat that proved extremely difficult as they began to strike at him from behind and from the sides, each time being narrowly avoided by a well timed hop, slide and twirl.  However Shen's combat instincts were difficult for him to control and his eyes wandered up just enough to catch a glimpse of the Piercing yellow orbs that sent a shock down his spine and caused every muscle in his body to instantly tense up and freeze and take the breath from his lungs.  Just then, a shadow among those of the serpents crept up behind Shen Hakuhei and in his moment of weakness another adversary leaped from the Darkness and managed to land a swift and painful slash upon his back.

Though painful, the strike forced Shen's eyes to shut and he let loose a painful cry of agony as poison crept in to his bloodstream.  Though the damage may have been severe, Shen probably owed the Poison Slayer his life as his attack had drawn his gaze away from the Basilisk's.  The Poison Slayer followed up with a swift jab toward's Shen's shoulder, a move that the Martial Artist with restored motor functions had no problem avoiding.  Shen leaned forward allowing Sol's Claw to pass over his back and then proceeded to gracefully slide around Sol and place himself behind the Poison Slayer.

Shen scoffed, realizing the position he placed himself in was now quite dire.  His body ached in pain as the poison from Sol's attack coursed through his veins, and one glance in to the eye of a Basilisk could leave him petrified long enough for any one of his enemies to land a fatal blow.  Shen exhaled slowly, calming his mind and steadying his heart.  The Martial Artist tore off a piece of his shredded blood stained shirt and tied the cloth around his head, blindfolding himself to protect against the Basilisk's gaze.  "Taunt me all you want, it will have no effect.  My town needs me, I don't have time to be angry anymore!"  Bleeding heavily from his wound, Shen positioned himself in to a fighting stance, reaching out with his palm facing towards Famine, the other he kept tucked by his side.  He breathed in deeply, absorbing the magical energy in the air, and when one of the Basilisk sisters finally raised its head above the slithering mass of intertwined serpent bodies and launched itself towards Shen, it's gaping maw opened revealing its enormous fangs that threatened to tear him asunder but the Martial Artist thrust his tucked palm forward and met the Serpent's strike with a deadly Buddha's Palm and stopped it in its tracks, sending a shockwave like gust of air out from the point of impact and seemingly crumpled the Snakes body, rippling its skin.  The serpent would slither sluggishly back in to the mass of serpents badly damaged by the strike, and the Martial Artist would remain standing strong, and ready.

For a moment, the newcomer in the black duster simply watched as the staring contest erupted into a full fledged fight, his expression never ceasing in the midst of the violence. In truth, he was deriving even more entertainment now then he would have before, a turn of events he would never be disappointed in. As the martial artist weaved and bobbed and through punch after kick after punch, Ben simply stood back and enjoyed the show.

"Hmm, smart money's probably on the vixen, what with her snake buddies and what not, but then again..." He mused aloud, not particularly concerned over how people might react to him talking to himself.  "...I do love a surprise victory from the underdog. Nothing says boring like a big win from the folks with numbers on their side." As the strange man spoke to nobody in particular, another wizard, most likely from the same guild that was invading this place, decided to enter the fray. Of course, this entrance equated to slashing the martial artist across the back, but all the same, he was adding another number to the mix. The man defending the city was already outnumbered, and it seemed as though the woman wasn't even truly fighting just yet. With the addition of poison, it seemed more and more likely that this man was not only going to lose, but was going to do so in a spectacularly quick fashion.

That was something the stranger simply could not abide.

A powerful sound erupted through the air, like thunder only less natural. In about a quarter of a second, a large revolver was produced from the green-haired man's belt before firing off a large caliber round that, if undisturbed, would pierce through the poison dragon slayer's right elbow just after the attack on the martial artist's back.

"Now, now..." He said in an overly casual manner, his expression mostly the same, save a single gold-colored orb, now fully exposed and peeking out from under the brim of his hat. "I find I was enjoying the show that pugilist was puttin' on. And while I can't say as a loss on his part would ruin that show, I also can't much have you killin' the sport of it either. So either you're gonna have to sit back and watch like the rest of the spectators or I'll have to be the one occupyin' you till their dance is finished."
