Well I got an Idea. We could have a admin/mod of the month. So that way the admin/mod that works the hardest gets more recognition. We should also have a Owner of the site of the month. :boogiepanda:

I appreciate the gesture, but unfortunately I disapprove of a ranking/month system for the staff members. Each of them works hard enough in their own way for the site. May it be silently reviewing applications, jewels transfers or just maintaining general order. And there for giving one the recognition for their hard work, based on a popularity vote, means to me that the others haven't worked hard at all. Which actually is a bit condescending and unfair to those in my eyes.

Also, the staff took upon their jobs full knowing, that getting recognition wasn't part of it's description. They are here to serve the community and guide it. And not for their personal glory.

I have to agree with our lord and savior from the once broken chat, Lord Frederik. While it seems like a fun and good idea, keep in mind us site members only see the work of those who grade our apps and such. We do not know all of the work that admins tend to do that don't involve grading applications, the brainstorming and attempts at making the site runs so that everyone can enjoy themselves. In addition, there is no real way to weigh the value of one staff's work with that of another. If members were the ones to be voting on this, than the staff of the week would come down to which staff member did the most application work, and which one made the person the happiest with the grading.

Allow me to spread my infinite wisdom unto everyone.

Obviously Fred makes the biggest point of all, however that doesn't mean the staff shouldn't be acknowledged. He is simply stating that a competition between them is doomed to failure. If we would like to spread love to the staff, than do so. Just don't make a post going "Fred is more awesome than Towa" type of thing, as opposed to "Fred and Towa are awesome". Doesn't really help or serve any purpose to uplift one, by bringing another down. Even if the intentions were not to bring another staff member down. Its a competition, and in order for one to win, some one has to lose. However, there is never anything wrong with celebrating how much we appreciate each and every staff member equally, as their compiled efforts are to further FTRP.

That being said, id like to give a heart warming thanks to all staff members equally.......but even more so to Fred, Hika, Aedre, Zack, Indar, and Izzy for being sexy members of Savage Skull lol
