    job information:

It wasn’t long until the job request board got yet another high urgency request. She went over as soon as the job was posted and looked the poster over… it didn’t seem to be too difficult to solve as it was ranked as a D class mission, meaning any new guild member could take on the request. However, something about the job was nagging her… something wasn’t letting her pass up the job to one of the new guys… She took the request off of the board and looked it over more thoroughly. It didn’t give much information other than the crops were growing thorns, glowing and withering.

“Well… better see exactly what is going on… I just hope no one’s been hurt…”
The young girl stated as she walked out of the guild hall, job request in hand before walking over to the main platform where the Teleportation lacrima stood. However, instead of touching the lacrima, she bought her fingers up to her lips and whistled loudly for her companion. It only took a few seconds for Zinnath to come soaring down from another distant platform, landing right next to her. Aayla wasted no time leaping onto the Sea Serpents back, and ushering her to take off, holding her breath as the serpent soared off the edge of the platform and down towards the ground before taking off towards beanstock village.

The Serpent and the dragon slayer flew at an easy pace, not deeming this mission as a true emergency as it hadn’t been reported that anyone’s life was in danger. However, as they flew above beanstock village, Aayla glared down at the decimated crops… there seemed to be a purple mist, or energy of some sort radiating from the plant life that was withering away, the very thorns that had grown seeming to have sucked up all the life form the plants around them.

    “This looks horrible…”
The young girl muttered as Zinnath began her descent to the center of town, where an elderly man was found waiting with a few of the farmers in hopes that a mage had taken the job. The serpent landed and Aayla jumped off of her back, walking towards the old man, stopping only whenever the purple mist seemed to grow thicker all of a sudden. All around them, little demonic crops began popping out of the ground the moment that Aayla’s maic was felt by the little demons.

“Oh… oh my! What are those things??”
The elder man asked as he took a step back, instantly two of the farmers stepped forward, their pitchforks at the ready for an attack.

“By the feel of their aura… those are demons…  that’s why your crops been so messed up…”
Aayla said gently as she reached to her back and retreived her trident. She was glad that her magic was water based… this would mean that she wouldn’t have to worry about seriously damaging the crop. The worst she could do was over water them, and truth be told with this mess, it wouldn’t be a bad thing.

“D…Demons!? P…Please miss wizard.. you have to help us… get rid of them before they destroy our crops for good..! We’re no good at trading… we need these crops to survive.”
The old man pleaded, tears welling up in his old wrinkly eyes. Aayla simply smiled and nodded towards the old man.

“Don’t worry mr chief, I’ll have these demon’s gone and your crops nice and happy.”
She assured him as she stepped forward, drawing the trident from her back as she did. She looked over to Hydrianna and raised her hand high before whispering so that the plant demons didn’t hear her, though she knew the Serpent would.

“Take to the sky. I want an aerial assault on that group of tomatos. Get them concentrated on you while I start on the corn. We’ll try to bring them together so we can hit them all together.”
She ordered as the Serpent took the the skies, preparing for the onslought that was going to come.

Once Aayla had given the order for the Serpent to take into the air, she waited only for the large Serpent to take off before darting forward towards the giant corn demons. They weren't the prettiest bunch, though the smug looks on their corny faces said that they thought otherwise. When she got close enough, she activated her Serpents claws and sliced into one of the corn demons that immediately fell to the ground with a thud. The other demons gasped before circling the dragon slayer and inhaling deeply, telling her that something was about to happen, before exhaling and releasing a volley of seeds that would no doubt beat her body senseless if she didn't have the sense to slip into her water body to avoid damage from them.

She didn't stay still however, moving out of the attack and sprinting until she was right next to a second demon, stabbing into the corn demon's body and then swinging her arm so that it came soaring off of her claws and into a third corn demon. A mischievous grin grew on the dragon slayers face as the sheer pleasure of annihilating these weak little demons kicked in.

Normally, Aayla would at leave feel somewhat bad for hurting these creatures... however any time she performed a takeover, full or partial, she could feel that compassion slip away as a more brutal way of thinking embraced her mind.
