Aayla's Secondary Magic Training [Private]

“Thank you… for finally finding me… for helping me face this past that has haunted me for so long… However. Aayla. I won't let you have me that easily. I have the soul of a proud Sea Serpent, one of the Ocean’s most feared hunters. If you want my soul…you will have to earn in.”
The little girl turned Serpent began to change before her very eyes, her small form growing and growing until the Sea Serpents body seemed to match her own (with a lot more bulk of course). The creatures earlier scrawny features filled out,  her scales becoming much more prominent, her tail got much much longer, her arms and legs looked much more muscular now, looking as if this creature had trained them her whole life. Her wings grew as well, and as she snapped them open to flex them, you could see the beautiful, water like detail on them. The thing that caught her attention the most however, was the hunters eyes… They remained slid as they had been when young Aayla had grown angry… they were animalistic… primal, and terrifying. However, Aayla couldn’t help but smile at the creature and extend her hand to the Serpent Hunter.

“Alright. If I have to earn it, I’ll show you everything I can do, and I wont hold back.”
She stated calmly, the Serpent smirking and taking Aayla’s hand as she shook it before stepping backwards away from the girl.  The scene around them changed once more, the white quickly turning to blues and greens, the sun re-appearing in the sky high above. Soon, Aayla felt herself become weightless as the two found themselves in her memory of the ocean. A fitting battleground between  the Sea Serpent Hunter, and the Water Dragon Slayer.

Neither waited for the scene to fill out before attacking the other, Aayla bringing her hands forward and casting her Water Dragon’s Roar,  and The Serpent bringing her own hands forward, launching scales from her own body at the girl. Both attacks met one another between the two combatants, the scales so small and agile that they sailed straight through the Dragon’s roar. Likewise, the roar was so big and powerful, it wasn’t stopped by such a small attack and sailed straight into the Hunter, while the scales shot straight into Aayla’s chest.

They both winced as they reeled from the attack, Aayla struggling to pick the scales out of her body as the Hunter didn’t waste time before charging towards the young girl much in the same way she had charged the memory of the dark Wizard.

Having only managed to remove one of the scales, Aayla had to leave the other two be as she noted her opponent charging at her. Once more, she put her hands before her before calling onto her next Spell.

“Water Lock!”
Against a Sea Serpent, this spell wouldn’t do half the damage it normally would, but it would immobilize the Serpent long enough for Aayla to begin changing the Temperature of the water within the bubble. The hunter was a Reptile, and therefore loved the heat, and hated the cold… and so, Aayla quickly put her hands on the water lock and began to drop the temperature of the contained water.  Quickly cooling down the water lock. She could visibly see the Serpent slow down, but it didn’t look like the Hunter was about to let herself be beaten there. The Hunter curled into herself, a green tinted water forming about her body. When she finally opened up her body, spreading her arms and legs wide, the green water shot forward at the bubble containing her, shattering the cage and releasing the freezing water into the ocean, where the sun began to regulate the Temperature back to normal.

“Water Dragon’s claws”
Aayla intoned as the water created claws and talons of her own. She charged forward at the Sea Serpent, and began to use her new found claws to hack and slash at the Hunter. The Hunter only smirked, and she followed in kind, using her own claws and talons to turn this into a fist fight. Aayla was easily at a disadvantage however, as the Hunter had protective scales to keep her from feeling the full damage of the claws… and therefore, with every strike Aayla attempted to find weak spots in the Sea Serpents scaled armor.

The blue water around them quickly started to turn red as their claws scraped into each others skin, Aayla starting to strike upwards to get under the Serpents scales, while the Serpent didn’t have to try so hard to make her opponent bleed.

Aayla finally landed another hit to the Hunters chest, bringing her feet up and kicking off against her stomach to push herself away from her opponent before extending her arms to either side of her body.

“Water Dragon’s Typhoon”
She intoned next, water began to swirl around her hands, gathering into two glowing bubbles of water that she brought up above her head. The Hunter however didn’t plan on giving her enough time to cast her spell. She burst forward at an incredible speed towards Aayla, her claws at the ready to strike into the girls chest.  The Hunters claws sank deeply into Aayla’s chest, moments before Aayla could bring down her arms and cast her spell.

Aayla gasped, swallowing hard as her eyes locked onto the Hunters. It felt absolutely awful to have someone’s hand in your body, however, she didn’t stop. She brought her hands forward directly into the hunters face and released the Typhoon of water at close range. The pressure pushed Aayla backwards away from the Hunter, while the wave and sharp blades of the Typhoon tore into the Serpents face, knocking her far away from Aayla.

Aayla brought her hand up to her chest, placing her hand over the wound with a groan. She had exhausted most of her magic energy in that attack, and now felt even worse with such a critical injury. She gulped before opening her mouth as she began to eat the ocean’s water around her, bit by bit restoring her magic energy until she once more had enough energy to feel better. 

As her magic restored, she kept her eyes on the hunter who had completely stopped moving. She was floating on her back, her arms and legs limp as she slowly began to sink deeper and deeper into the Ocean.

With a pained groan, Aayla swam forward as best she could, catching the Serpents falling body and holding her so that she didn’t continue to sink. Those blue slit eyes slowly turned to look at the girl that had caught her, a small laugh escaping her lips as she remained motionless.

“You…win…”
The Serpent groaned softly, closing her wild blue eyes as once more, everything around them began to fade.

As the world around Aayla began to fade, both her and Deniel were slowly drawn back into reality. The entire time he had to make sure that his hand stayed on her forehead so she would stay within her own world and defeat her inner beast. The only thing he could do was hope she was successful. The fact that he could now open his eyes and see her sitting there before him meant that he was right. He was still in his black scaled demon form, since her training still wasn't over yet. With a growl, he removed his hand from her forehead. "Wake up, Aayla!" His voice was much more fierce and and full of rage while he was in the form. "The next part of your training begins now. Now, let me explain the next part and a bit of background behind it. Watch." He dropped down to his knees and used the claws on his hand to draw some pictures in the sand. One picture was a stick figure, and then there were two lines coming from it going in the same direction. Then, the two lines spit off to go separate ways, there they ended in circles. In one circle, Deniel labeled it, "Magic." "I'm sure your aware that all mages have a limited power of magic that takes time to be restored. If they use it up too quickly, their bodies will suffer for it. However, when it comes to Take Over, we use a separate energy source than our magic power."

His finger drew the words "Take Over Energy" in the second circle that came off of the person's body. And then, he connected the two circles with one line. "This is the energy we use to transform our bodies into the creatures that lie within us. However, it is our Magic Power that lets use harness the magic in these creatures. The next part of the training is to awaken that Take Over Energy within you. However, since you probably didn't know it existed, it will be hard to track it down. That is why I ask you to do this," he quickly erased the circle of magic power in the drawing of the sand and then stood up. He took several paces away from her, and then held both of his arms out wide. "Drain every last drop of your Magic Power on me. Don't be afraid to hold back, I'll be fine. This form can take a lot of punishment. Make sure you have absolutely not magic power left. Then, I'll explain everything else from there. Now do it!"

She felt a sudden jolt course through her body as Decayuss removed his hand from her forehead. Her yes snapped open and she  she gasped slightly at the sensation. She blinked quickly several times to get her bearings, the sound of the ocean rocking against the shore slowly started bringing her thoughts back to what was happening here and now.

Aayla looked up to Decayuss in his new form and had to admit she was caught off guard. The scales she had felt, the claws... they didn't lead her to imagine this. For a moment, she grew slightly afraid of what she saw, but then shook her head and leaned forward to watch what he was drawing in the sand. She couldn't be afraid of him, she was aiming to be a little bit more like him after-all.

She listened intently to his explanation, nodding every now and then as he pointed out the difference between magic, and this secondary magic. It wasn't totally strange to her, as Hydrianna had attempt to teach her a similar concept to attain dragon force.

"I think I get it... wait... y...you want me to attack you..."
She paused as she looked up to him questioningly, watching as he stepped a fair distance away from her and readied himself for her onslaught. She gulped nervously before pushing herself up to her feet and taking a few steps back. She knew of one quick, sure fire way to deplete her magic energy... this spell always really took it out of her until she could find a source of water to replenish herself... that was going to be another issue, with such a huge body of water nearby, how could the young dragon slayer not subconsciously try to bring her magic power back.

"Alright... here I go..."
She took a deep breath to keep her thoughts focused on the here and now. Trying not to think of all the what ifs, or things she could do to bring her magic power back up... she had to let it deplete on it's own.

She spread her arms to both sides of her body, closing her eyes just as water began to form around her hands.  The water spun and crashed around her hands in a circle, creating two bubbles that looked like raging rapids. She kept her eyes closed as she focused more and more energy into the swirling balls of water. She had to put as much magic energy into it as she could, bring her magic energy to the barest minimum. She concentrated, and pushed more and more magic energy into the attack before bringing boh hands up above her head.

The water bubbles connected, the raging water crashing against itself angrily as they merged, creating one large, menacing looking torrent of water.

"Water Dragon's Typhoon!"
She cried out finally as she threw her hands down in front of her. Even on the way down, the water continued to grow more and more until it reached the size of a 2m wave. The wave went crashing towards her teacher, breaking off into 3 large blades of water, each reaching 3m in length.

After fuelling that attack with so much energy, Aayla felt completely exhausted, however, she could still stand, she could still feel her magic energy slowly returning to her thanks to her guild crest. She took another deep breath, and immediately pushed into another, final attack, putting as much pwoer as she could into her most classic spell.

"Water Dragon's ROAR"
Her hands moved up in front of her mouth now, a magic circle appearing there as she released a large, powerful jet of water that would go crashing towards the Nephalem from behind her earlier spell.

At this point, she was panting very heavily, having to crouch down onto one knee and resting her arm against it as she attempted to catch her breath.

"Heheheheheheh." His sharp fangs created a smile, but much more of an evil smirk across his face. He held his head low, and kept both of his arms out. With his head down, he still looked up from the very top of his eyes to see what she was doing. Upon seeing her charge up a spell, the wings on his back reacted with their natural reflex. The strip of scales over them lifted itself up, and the beetle-like wings started to rattle and flap themselves. Every time his body was in danger of harm, they would always do that. "I hate bugs-." Right when he finished his statement, he was hit with a torrent and wave of water. He could feel it stinging the scales on himself, but it wasn't nearly enough to make him flinch, or even move from his spot. He stood absolutely still where he was standing, not budging an inch. Not even the blades were enough to make him give away. While he was in his demon form, he had a huge tolerance to pain. And this, was nothing. Not only that, but pain also fueled him and gave him strength. "COME ON! MORE!" Shortly after the first spell, he got exactly what he was asking for. More water came at him, this time in a very powerful jet that covered up his hole body. Even then, it still didn't have enough strength to move him.

Once her two spells were over, he was still standing strong. His body stung and hurt in certain places. He could still sense some magic energy within her. It wasn't enough, she had to drain it all. "Keep going!" He lowered his arms and spoke much harsher and demanding than he did before. It wasn't just his demon form affecting his emotions, he really meant it. "You're not done yet! You still have some magic in you. DRAIN! EVERY! LAST! DROP! HIT ME AGAIN!" He raised his arms out once again and looked straight at her this time. He no longer had the amused smirk on his face, it was now more like he was completely pissed off at her.

She listened to him yell at her, wincing as he did so, her eyes quickly darting to the ground in front of her. How could sh muster up any more magic energy to attack him? The water Dragon Typhoon alone took a lot of magic energy out of he, then followed by a water dragon's roar was more than strenuous. She continued to pant heavily, licking her lips lightly as she forced herself to look away from the water splashing up against the shore and looking up to the man standing before her. How strong was he really..? He could take those two attacks without even flinching, the only thing that seemed to move were his wings, and that was even before she attacked.

From her kneeling position, Aayla clenched her small hand into a fist while the other pushed up against her knee, forcing the girl shakily back up to her feet. One deep breath after another to steady herself, Aayla could once more hear the wave splashing against the shore, and the sound did give her an idea...

She did have a spell she could use with such limited magic power available... She extended her hands to both sides of her body once more.  Deep Breaths.... and began to channel her remaining magic energy into the spell. She closed her eyes as she did channel the attack, listening to the sounds of the ocean waves beat against the sandy beach, and listening to the memory of her mothers voice instruct her in the ways of the dragon slayer. She would go against most of her mothers teaching by pushing herself this far, by not eating the water that was so abundantly available.

"Water Dragon's..."
Her right hand swiped over in front of her, seeming to drag a very large wave out of the ocean itself to come crashing into her teacher.

"WAVE"
She finished chanting as her left hand then followed her right, creating a secondary wave that came slamming into the opposit side of the Nephalem standing before her.

Deep breath

Both hands went to the side of her body, and with a determined cry, she cast the spell a second time, barraging the demonic looking figure with wave after wave of the water dragon's wave. Casting it another two times before Aayla sank down into the sand once more. This time, she fell down on both knees, panting heavily as her arms hung limply at her side. She had to push herself up and do it one more time... he wanted everthing, he wanted her left with nothing...

She tried to stand up once more, only to end up landing face first in the sand.

She was taking a long time to get up, but he wasn't surprised at all about it. His wings, no longer sensing danger to his body, stopped rattling themselves and stood still just like they were before. The pieces of his scales had also lowered themselves along with the wings. All he was doing was holding his arms out to her, awaiting her next move. He watched her stand, slowly but surely. His clawed fingers clenched themselves and moved in regular patterns. He wanted to keep his arms out open to her to show he was capable of taking whatever she threw at him. Moments after she got to her feet, he could tell by the way her body moved and the rise in her magical energy she was channeling something. The smirk showing his fangs appeared on his face once again. His body was ready for her next attack, no matter what it was. And judging by her condition, it probably wasn't going to be that strong anyway. In a few moments, he judgment was proven to be correct. One after another, several waves had come crashing straight into him from both directions. He was built for durability, made to tolerate pain, and this didn't even make him close to breaking.

He got a hunch that this was the most she could do. It wasn't bad, in fact he was somewhat impressed she was still able to go by his request and do more spells. Upon seeing the last wave, he lowered his arms, and walked straight through it. He walked through it as if it weren't even there, to show just how much it didn't faze him. I pray for your safety, Aalya. If you don't pass this part, you'll die. Of course he didn't say that aloud to her. She needed to figure this last part out, her life depended on it. He approached her, laying face-down in the ground. With a sudden movement, he grabbed on to her by the hair and lifted her up at eye-level view. Everything that came out his mouth next was a lie, but it was for the best: "You should know better to trust a stranger. You trusted your whole life in my hands, and that will be the last mistake you will make. Without your magic, you can't even move. And now you pay the ultimate price: Death!"

He tensed up his fingers to sharpen up his claws a bit, and then started to smack her face repeatedly with his hands. Not only was he smacking her, but every time he did, his claws would scratch a portion of her face.

Aayla was trying to breathe properly without inhaling the sand in which she lay in now. It was difficult, even just to move her head in such a way to get her face out of the sand. She had never felt so exhausted in her life… even during her encounter with the king of black dragons,  Zargan. Aayla had never ever felt so drained… helpless yes… but never this physically and mentally tired.

It wasn’t until her teacher grabbed a fist full of her long, beautiful blue hair that her thoughts returned to what was happening and shifted her thoughts away from her exhaustion. What was he doing? Surely there was a better way to get her attention than to be so rough with her. It wasn’t until her head was pulled up enough to see his face, did fear cross her heart and her face.


She had made a huge mistake… one that he was gracious enough to point out. She had trusted a complete stranger, someone who easily could have been out to kill her, much like the dark mages that hunted her. As he spoke, she quickly began to assume he was one of them, the demonic look of his smile, his teeth and even just his body, caused her to grit her teeth and attempt to shift away from him.

Small tears began to form in her eyes as she opened her mouth to speak, only for her face to be greeted by a clawed hand slashing across her face. Only a single claw managed to pass through her water body, the rest clawing at her flesh, and easily drawing blood.
 
She had no magical energy to maintain her own water body… he would seriously be able to tear her apart! Another slash of his claws came swiping across her face, causing the young girl to cry out in pain, closing her eyes as she reached up weakly to the hair he was holding onto.  She attempted to struggle against him, to try and pull his hand off of her but it did little more than weakly press against his scales, her knees barely able to get any traction in the sand to push herself away.
 
Why had she been so stupid… why had she trusted him! She had absolutely no reason to believe anything he said other than the simple fact that she wanted to believe him… she wanted to believe what he told her… wanted to believe that someone could show her enough kindness to help her become strong and that not everyone outside her own guild was cruel and filled with hate…
 

She finally opened her panicked eyes again, gritting her teeth as she glared up at Deniel. She even growled as she continued to will strength into her weak little hands to pull him hands away from her.

“H…How c…could you… I tr…trusted you… you…”
Another swipe came down onto her face, causing another cy of pain to escape her lips as blood poured down from every wound, dripping down onto the beautiful white sand in between them.  The blood even began to pour down into her eyes, blurring her vision until all she could see was red.
 
She continued to panic as she struggled, her thoughts far away from what the two had done together to find the spirit of the Sea Serpent inside her.  She was frightened out of her mind, she was absolutely helpless without magic… It seemed even Zinnath would do nothing to help her.

The large Sea Serpent seemed to be hissing angrily at Deniel, however she didn’t move to oppose him… She spread out her large wings to either side of her body, rearing her head back only preparing herself to scoop up her friend and fly off if this training exercise turned out to really be bad…
 
“Z…Zinn…inny…”
Aayla said through blood and tears as she tried to escape. As she called to her friend however, she began to pause. Her faint struggles again Deniel slowly came to a stop as a sudden realization crossed her mind. Zinnath! The Sea Serpent! What would her hunters spirit do in this situation? For the moment she wasn’t the hunter, she was the hunted… and a sudden burning desire to have that change rose inside of her.
 

She didn't really realize what she was doing at this point, as she continued to will strength into her hands to free herself, that will, the channeling of strength soon seemed to start working! Scales began to appear on her arms, covering them up to her elbows, her hands and fingers began to shift and change, elongating into scaly claws. She was quick to try and sig those claws into her attackers hands, attempting to pierce his own scales and cause just enough pain to get herself free from his grip.

After the first blow struck to her face, Deniel only raised his hand to strike her again. He watched the blood pour from her face, only to strike her again. He wasn't putting too much effort into his attacks, since if he put all of his effort in, he would most likely severely damage her. What he was doing was enough.

“H…How c…could you… I tr…trusted you… you…”

The words struck him like lightning, and he felt a rush of guilt come through him. What he was doing was cruel, and anyone who would have done it would be hated by him. He didn't want to do this, but it was the only way to get her Take Over to awaken. It never just happened, it had to be triggered by danger and emotion, just like his was. So instead of stopping, he kept his act up. "Because you're nothing more than a foolish little girl, who won't live long enough to learn what true wisdom and power are."

He raised his claw and struck her face once again. He was really starting to hope she would actually do something about this. Just a few more blows, and he could do something that would scar her for life, or even worse, kill her. After he raised his claw to strike her once again, he felt something around his arm. He looked down to see that his plan was actually working! Her arms were turning into scales, similar to one that would resemble a sea serpent. Still, it was only her arms. She needed to active more. She needed to do a Full Body Take Over. And in order to do that, he was going to need to put her into even more danger.

As a last resort, he lowered his claw hand and put her in the most danger possible. He placed his hand right on her chest, and slowly made his claws dig into her flesh: I'l rip your heart from your chest!"

Spoiler:

She felt the resistance of his scales hit her claws and was surprised to find that the pressure was much different than if she had been pressing down with her bare fingers. She glanced up just in time to see the scales running up her arms before a sudden pain in her chest distracted her, causing her to focus once more on Deniel. She looked at him with anger in her blood stained eyes as she gripped onto his hands tighter, using the sudden strength she had to use him as a steady support point. 

She was suddenly able to plant her knees firmly into the sand, giving her a decent sense of balance before letting go of the hand holding her hair, and attempting to dig her claws into the hand attempting to tear out her heart.

“No… I…w…won’t… won’t lose… I’m a… a Dragon slayer… with the heart... o...of a Serpent H...Hunter..."
She grit her teeth tightly  as she attempted to pull him away from her, at least long enough to stop, whatever was happening to her, to finish up. The outfit she had been wearing seemed to suddenly vanish in a brilliant blue light, leaving behind scaled armor to cover up her more sensitive areas. Jagged armor seemed to expand fron her elbows, shoulders and legs, quickly changing her young human body, to that of an angry, full grown Sea Serpent. Her transformation didn't stop with that however, as her life was still faced with a dangerous end. From her tail bone, a long scailed tail appeared in a secondary flash of light, and a third flash revealed two long, bony wings spread out widely behind her.

With her eyes still narrowed angrily on Deniel, she attempted to move the new masses she could feel and flung her tail towards his head, aiming to cut right into his neck with the pointed talons that adorned the end of it.

"Maybe... maybe this was a ... a trick... but you... you helped me... helped me see who and what I was..."
She cried out, hoping that her sudden strike would have enough power to get her away from him.

Spoiler:

Deniel stopped the movement of his claws and glanced up at what was taking place before him. He saw that Aayla's transformation was now well underway, which meant her training was slowly coming to an end. His job was nearly over. Just to make it seem like it wasn't being done on purpose, he dug his claw into her more, finally starting to pierce through her sternum. That's when her transformation was finally complete, and her training nearly over. Her tail was being flung to his neck, which he could have simply let go of her and dodged easily. Instead he let it go straight at him, but due to the massive durability of this form, it had barely cut through his skin. "Pathetic! Now watch and learn the true power of a Take Over!" He pulled his claw right out of her chest and then threw her back on the ground. He jumped back away from her and held one hand over the other. An orb of blood-red energy began to form on it. "Finishing Move!" He tilted his body to the side so his arms were to the right. "Hell's Wrath...!" The orb in his arms suddenly grew then times bigger, with his hands not even visible anymore. "HEAVEN'S DEMIIIIIISE!" He pointed his arms outwards and then fired a beam of the energy. However, it was not aimed at her. Instead, he shot it straight into the sky, having it tear straight through the crowds and continue its way to high up.

The whole point of what he just did was to demonstrate the true power a Take Over can attain. After firing his spell, Deniel's scales turned back into skin and clothes, his hair turned to his normal style, his eyes gained pupils and white once again, and the wings on his back were no more. He walked right up to Aayla while she was most likely distracted by the spell he just did. "Congratulations! Your training is over!"

Aayla heared the faint *ping* of her talons hitting his scales and gliding off of them, doing nothing more than scratching at them, and no doubt making him think even less of her. She literally growled at him when her attack missed and gasped when his claws began to draw blood, digging deeper into the still exposed flesh. He was still a lot stronger than she was... with or without all of her magic power she wouldn't be able to beat him... and she knew it... Maybe... if she could get into dragon force while in this state...

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by his speech, calling her pathetic and moving away from her to prove just how powerful his take over was. She stumbled to her feet the instant he had pulled away from her, her knees shaking slightly as she held herself up.

"Why..."

She began when he began to call out his finishing move... something called Heaven's demise couldn't mean anything good, not at all! She had no where to go, even trying to fly away seemed out of the question... she had to barricade herself... protect herself from the attack, and so, she brought her wings around in front of her, encircling her in a protective barrier that would hopefully be enough to survive his blast.

However... she felt the magic energy go off, but nothing ever hit her... she pulled her wings apart slightly to look at Deniel... his hands pointed up into the air while his spell soared up with an angry fury. She felt her heart rise into her chest as she watched it, then her eyes darting back to Deniel as if demanding an explanation for why it hadn't hit her... that move... she never would have been able to block it...Congratulatedulated her, she looked absolutely confused, however her eyebrows stayed furrowed as she remained on edge.


"I... I don't... get it you...I thought... I thought you were really trying... to kill me.."
She looked back over to Zinnath who had finally furled her wings back against her body, and was now lying down lazily on the sand. She then glanced back to Deniel in bewilderment befor she placed her hand on her aching chest. When her own claws touched her, she glanced down, and began examining herself, not having fully realized what she had just done..

Deniel thought about what she said, but didn't really take too long. He just scratched his chin and shrugged. "I was, in a way. I was hoping I wouldn't, but if you failed to assume a Take Over, you would have died." Deniel's business here was pretty much done, and he could have chosen any time to leave. However, he decided to stay a few moments to explain his reasoning. "Let's go through what happened to you." He got down on his knees and once again began to draw a picture for her in the sand. He drew a stick figure, two circles, and then a line that connected to the word "Beast". Then he connected that word to both the stick figure, and the second circle. "You had Magic Power, Take Over Energy, and a beast. However, you have relied on your Magic Power so much in your life, that the other two seem to be invisible and non-existant." He crossed out the first circle so that only the second circle, the word, and the person remained. "So by getting rid of your Magic Power, those two were the only ones left. However, you also needed to be exposed to the beast within you so that both you and it knew you share the same mind, body, and soul."
