    Job Information:

Janna sat stood in the shadows near the train station. Trembling. Trains. I hate trains. Please, someone get me an exceed., she thought. Naturally, motion sickness was her main problem, the main reason why she hated trains and all means of transport. She wished she was the Lightning Dragon Slayer, just that she could fly over to the place she wanted to go.

She sat on the ground, her black cloak spreading around her, her hoodie falling, revealing her blond hair. She quickly pulled it up again, anf sighed. She looked back down at the paper she had been holding for the past two hours, a paper that had initially made her grin.

It was a small challenge, as she called it. Actually, it was a legal mage job that had reached her dark hands. It consisted of finding the treasure that the Ten Wizard Saints supposedly hid in the ancient ruins before more than a milennia. Apparently, there was this other person and his group of Hunters, Harper Goldshine, who were willing to get their hands on this treasure too. But Janna was not going to allow that, not if they were going to make a bad use of this treasure. And she wouldn't allow that.

The only person capable of making a bad use of Wizard Saint treasures is her, and only her.

She roes from her position, summoning a dagger just in case, and walked to the train that had just arrived. She had to take it, she needed to go to the Ancient Ruins...

But damn, she didn't want to suffer Nauseas. Nope, at all.

She turned around to walk away, but a group of people that were attempting to get on the train pushed her to it. '' HEY! WATCH IT!'' She shouted, as she managed ot break through the crowd and catch a glimpse of another cloak. She turned around, as she had just felt something really weird, and tried to look for the origion of the feeling she had just had.

A young voice shouted against the oblivious crowd of people that as always massed together to board the train. It was a common and mundane occurrence that happened all over Fiore at every train station, yet something that Frederick dearly despised. He hated the fact that people would squeeze them selfs in a confined space, just like cattle would do when the farmer opened the sty doors at dusk.
However despite the fact the mundanity of life itself annoyed Frederick he did saw the value in traveling like this. For some reason traveling by public transit was somehow one of the fastest methods to travel around the country while keeping your own anonymity. The reason for this was easy, people simply didn't care. In fact they wouldn't even bat an eye to the cloaked stranger in their midst. To them he was nothing more then just another traveler just going on with his own mundane life.

Without even batting an eye to the voice himself, Frederick stepped aboard the train. And once aboard he walked through the train booth until he found a seat were no one else had sat down already. 'now if no one would sit here for the remainder of this trip..' he thought.
However he quickly responded to that thought with a huge sigh, knowing that it probably wouldn't go his way anyway. No the only thing he could do was sit here until he reached the destination of his job.

With a loud 'tch' sound, he showed that he despised the fact that he had to go out on a job. Not that anyone would've noticed that. 'Public transit.. ridiculous.. going on a job, why I used to rule. I had power once, and now I've stooped so low that I have to ride the train like every other peasant'

Janna had finally decided to get on the train and go on her job. It was ridiculous, and she was going to suffer, but hey. She needed to get to an empty cabin without a lot of people that could withness her motion sickness.

She got on the train, doubtfully, but then she began walking around it with more determination than before. Tre train wasn't moving yet, so she was still okay. But she had to find a cabin with the least amount of people possible.

Bless hre luck, most of the cabins were almost full. And some of them contained mages. A growl escpaed her lips as reached over a cabin. She opened the door, just to see two people talking about something. They were some sort of cemrciants or something similar, it seemed, since they were wearing elegant clothes, and appeared to be incredibly wealthy. She closed the door and walked to the cabin next to the one she had been just at. She noticed a man sitting alone in it. She straigthened up and entered the cabin, making sure her hoodie is on.

The man emanated a strange sort of air around him, quite indeed. He appeared to be a quite mysterious man, dark, and, to say it somehow, not the exactly social type of person. She put her pale hands on the doorframe and looked at the man.

'' May I?'' She asked, politely, yet with a cold note in her voice. '' Every other cabin is pretty much full.''

She could feel a weird feeling coming from the person in the cabin. It was as if he was dark... but not exactly dark. Even she couldn't explain it. Maybe he was a dark mage before, however now he wasn't. Or it was otherwise. She certainly did not know, but she was interested in knowing more.

During the moments of peace, that wouldn't take to long. Frederick started to overthink the job he was on. A job request that was actually put out by officials of the Magic Council. Something that didn't happened very often, and when it did were mostly popularity stunts. Easy jobs provided by the council to increase their stature with mage population of Fiore.

However this time there was something fishy, the job description told about an old wizard saint relic somewhere hidden deep inside some old ruins. What it was, or what it can do was still a mystery. But it seems like a big deal of some sorts. Enough so that attracts some notorious band of treasure hunters to this location. So the only thing that didn't add up was why the council would ask the help of the guilds. Especially when it concerned treasure that belonged to a former famed wizard saint.

Frederick's chain of thoughts got disrupted when a soft voice spoke directly at him. '' May I?''
In the opening of Frederick's booth stood a young woman, at least for so far Frederick could tell. Most of her body and face was covered up by a cloak just like his. However just right under the edge of the hood he could see what appeared to be long blond bangs that fell down the side of her face.
''Every other cabin is pretty much full.''

Without even saying a word Frederick slightly nodded his head, showing her that he didn't mind to much if someone else would be taking a seat with him. At least not this person, she seemed that she planned to keep to herself. Just like Frederick.
But when the girl enter the booth, Frederick couldn't help then to follow her with his eyes. Carefully glaring at her from under his own hood. There was something about this girl, something familiar.

Janna silently watched the other man nod. He was wearing a cloak, just like her, so she could not see any possible facial expression on his face. She sat opposite him, not saying a word, as it seemed that the person she was sharing a cabin with was not exactly the talkative type of person, and she was glad. She didn't want to talk to people.

Soon, Janna felt horrible. It was as if her stomach had turned around at a high, painful speed, causing her to double over slightly. The train began moving, and Janna began feeling the usual nauseas, to which she should be used by this point. It was not as if she traveled a lot in vehicles, that was simply pure suicide, in her oppinion.

She sincerely hoped the other person wouldn't begin asking any questions, since the only answer she would give, if she gave any, that is, would be a growl or a hiss. She was incapable of bringing together words, not to think of sentences, while in this state.

She painfully moved and leaned against the window and tried her best not to look outside. If she saw the moving environtment, she woudl surely feel even worse than she already was. And she certainly did not want that.

As time flew away, Janna had the feeling that this train was going slowly on purpose, just to torture her, and, that this would never come to an end. It wasn't one the ocassion in which she wished that she had an exceed so it could take her to her job quickly and without causing her motion sickness, or some big pet capable of taking her whenever she wanted without hestiating.

What surprised her, though, was the aura of the person across her. There was something familiar in it, but she could not determine what. And certainly, she was not in the actual condition to do that.

The girl would take a seat in front of Frederick, and just as he expected she didn't plan to share any words with him. Just as he wanted it, because nothing was more redundant then someone that felt the need to share their entire life's story with one another.

However when time moved on and the clanking sounds of the train that moved over it's tracks become nothing more then a vague background noise Frederick started to notice something. The girl in front of him appeared as if she felt a bit uncomfortable. In fact she didn't look like she was doing well at all. She was painfully moving around on her seat, as if sitting slightly different would fix her problem. And her leaning against the train's window seemed somehow restless.

When Frederick observed the girl, he'd once again got the feeling of familiarity. And he got only ask himself why, he'd never met her. He was certain of that. So why was it that she'd felt so.. so similar. Then it hit him, the reason she felt so similar. It was because she was similar to him, in her resided a same darkness that he housed inside of him himself.

'Wait... how big is the change that I encounter a kindred soul on the road. Someone from the same darkness as me' his thoughts run wild, who was this girl. And why did he felt a darkness inside of her. Was she one of his enemies? Did his old guild send someone after him to finish the job. Or was this one of the other dark guild's assassins. Ordered to pull out any information from Frederick.

Slowly the light in the cabin started to fade away, only to make place for a growing darkness. That appeared to originate from Frederick himself. And with his cold and monotone voice he started to pierce through the silence that he and the girl had gladly welcomed before.
'For a girl your age, you seem to walk among some dangerous people...'

'For a girl your age, you seem to walk among some dangerous people...'

Janna lifted her head to look at the man across her. She noticed the growing darkness around, and gladly acccepted it, blessing her luck. This guy was a Shadow Mage, and all she wanted now was shadows. She reached her hand up and closed it around a fair amount of shadows. She slowly took it to her mouth and ate the shadows.

She rose her head to look at the man, her green eyes suspicious. '' It seems our vision on the term "dangerous people" is quite different.'' She said. The politeness present in her voice earlier was gone, just to reveal a deadly low, cold voice. '' However, you seem to be quite dark yourself. It appears that you come from the place I am at now.'' She said, grinnig.

It was pretty obvious the guy had discovered that she was from a Dark Guild, so why hiding it? She leaned against her seat, a smile placed on her lips, a smile that her cloak did not hide. She remained still and silent for a moment, analyzing the whole situation, until she decided to speak again. '' So it appears that you have switched sides. Which guild were you at, before? I'm really interested in knowing which guild let a member of theirs traverse the limit between good and bad.'' She said, quite enjoying the situation.

She remained still in her seat, her motion sickness still present, but slightly better than before. She was interested in knowing more about this, why did this person change sides? Did he not enjoy the pleasure of being free, of being capable of doing whatever one likes? It appeared that he had chosen to be a dog in chains, to be left without the freedom every mage wanted. He had chained himself, it appeared.

'They don't..' replied Frederick with a harsh tone 'And be sure to remember that girl for we both know what Savage Skull does do those who leave their ranks'

Without a second thought Frederick would shatter both mages suspicions on each other and uttered the name of the guild. Savage Skull, a powerful dark guild that had accommodated Frederick in the past as it did now with this girl in front of him. A place that despite his year of madness had stayed vivid in his memories. The feeling of the suffocating darkness that shrouded all around him when he would walk in silence through the spacious empty halls. The dark corners that seemed to promise void and nothing.
And above anything else the Catacombs, with it's endless tunnels filled with cold damped air. A maze like construction were the undead roamed. It was an entrapment for tortured souls and for Savage Skull it's most sacred place. However, how bit it truly was is something that no one knew.

Frederick started to observe the girl once again by glaring at her from under his hood. She seemed to be quite a proud person if she so openly showed her own powers in front of him. Powers that only one type of mage could posses.
'Anyway miss slayer, the fact why I switched sides is rather obsolete and of no importance. Because what you want to know is who I am... I am the former master of Savage Skull, the man behind the shadows. I am Lord Frederick Corbyn.'

Post by Janneline Ariel 11th June 2014, 10:26 am

Janna was quite amazed, although she would never show it. He was a previous master of Savage Skull? Quite interesting, alas he had switched sides. He was in a legal guild, apparently, he had switched sides, he had left Savage Skull to join people who fought agains Savage Skull. Her green eyes shined perillously as she silently stood there, watching this person. So he was ''Lord''? A growl escaped her lips. She would never forget what the noble people, who claimed to be lords, to be the top of the society, had done to her. Never.

'''You say that your switch of sides has no importance? Dear Lord Frederik Corbyn, does this mean that you, despite being in a legal guild, remain on our side, though not openly? Because, if you switch sides and are no longer dark, it is of quite an importance.'' She said, her voice low and slow, putting an emphasis on every word pronounced. '' Ah, I guess that, since you presented yourself to me, I might do about the same thing.'' She said, a smile creeping on her face. '' I am Janneline. Janneline Ariel Sombras. Member of Savage Skull.'' She said.

At first, she would have thought that it was quite stupid to tell her name and the guild she's in to a legal mage. Alas, it appeared Frederik had already discovered the guild she was in. Even though, her triumph card, her appearance, was still hidden. Why triumph card? Because whoever saw her, would always think she is a cute, innocent girl, not a dark, cruel, killer. If she was in danger, of being caught by someone, she could attempt to use it...

The train stopped, and Janna instantly felt better. She got up and walked to the exit of the cabin, but layed her hand on the doorframe and turned slightly around. '' Did you ever care about the guild?'' She asked, her voice cold, stoic, serious. She had to know. It was important for her.

'No I did not' replied Frederick with a similar cold tone in his voice 'in matter of fact the guild was nothing more then a means to an end for me.'

Frederick found her question rather strange, especially from someone that came from a guild like Savage Skull. Never during his entire reign of Savage Skull and even before that, did he ever thought of the concept of caring for it's members.
It made him wonder, did the guild change a bit under it's new management, or was the girl just some naive youth that was to blind to see what Savage Skull really was.

In the meantime the scenery outside the window fell down to a slow pace as the train started to close in onto it's destination. And before Frederick knew it the landscape was traded in for civilization, well if you could call it that. The destination was a small mundane town, which mostly slumbered in daily life. Only to be waken up every now again by the visitors that came to check out the nearby ruins.
Eventually the train came to an halt, and the conductors whistle was to be heard as the doors opened.

Frederick stood up with a sigh and started to walk out of the cabin, however before he entire left he stopped himself. Just right where the door opening was. There he glared over his should at Janneline.
'Girl, I've seen your type come through the Savage Halls often enough to know what happens to them. Eventually their ambition, their lust for power became their downfall. So let me give you this one advice, if you want to survive in Savage Skull don't step in the footstep of your predecessors. Don't follow your own greed. No just give yourself to the darkness, become empty and nothing more then that.'

With that as his last words Frederick walked out of the cabin and off the train. Unknowingly that he and the girl had the same destination.

Janna laughed out loud. Had this guy actually thought she cared about something?!?! This was so naive of him. Did he not know Savage Skull and its member well enough? It appeared not. She sighed and walked out of the train, glad it had ended.

As Janna walked towards the destination where the job was, she remained thinking of the guy from the train. Why had he left Savage Skull? Why did she care? It's not like she actually wanted to know anything about this guy. She shook her head slightly, so she could remind herself that she is here to get the job location and finish it up.

After quite a lot of time of walking, she reached the Ancient Ruins. Her mood instantly worsened, as the place was too sunny for its own good. The weather was hot. Was there anything worse than that? The heat was so horrible she growled in annoyment, and, thinking that nobody who could recognise her was around, took off her cloak and threw it away. It revealed her combed blonde hair, her petite stature and the fact she was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. She quite appeared to be a normal teen, not a teenage dark guild assassin.

As she walked around, hands in her pockets, inspecting the place, she noticed another figure near her. And her mood got even worse when she saw a cloaked guy. Not you again...., she thought. Hopefully, he wouldn't recognise her, as she no longer wore her cloak, but, knowing her luck, he would surely recognise her.

She turned around, just hoping that he would walk away and leave her be.

Just then, she sensed another presence near her. It was not the cloak guy, she was quite sure. His scent was familiar to her, because of the time spent in the train. But this, this was not familiar... And perillous. She took out her dagger instantly and prepared to face whatever was coming at her.
