Cat on the loose!

After their last mission, they had decided to move on straight to their next job in Bean Stalk Village. With Zinnath at their side, travl time seemed like nothing at all to worry about! The Serpent could fly high above any obstacles and was twice as fast as any magic vehicle. It made getting around a cinch!

When they walked into beanstalk village, Aayla retrieved the flyer and handed it over to her brother, a picture of the missing cat and her owner clearly printed on the front of the flyer.

"Where do you think we should start looking? I really don't like cats... so I don't know where we should start... Maybe in the trees? or that hug beanstalk..?"
Aayla asked her brother curiously as they walked into the main plaza of beanstalk village. She looked around them, trying to use her nose and her hearing to track down the cat.

They didn't waste much time in finding another job together at all after helping the children at the hospital. It was a constant grind for money and to get known better it seemed. He didn't have an issue with it as long as he somehow got stronger from his experiences.

He followed his sister into the village after getting off Zinnath. She handed him a flyer with a picture of the cat. It would help but the issue was where they could start looking. It was a cat too so the odds of it staying in one area were kind of low.

"I don't know. It will be hard to find a cat that ran away like this. Maybe if your nose could pick up on anything we would have a lead to go on. If not this is going to be a long job." He looked around their area as he spoke.

Aayla continued to sniff at the air, looking for any signs of the cat, referencing the scent to that of Hiarai's exceed companion. Although the scents differed, they were very similar. She began to walk around the village, avoiding stares as she would subtly try to sniff out the feline.

They ran around the village, letting her get a good grip on the area before she stopped just at the base of the large beanstalk.

"I was right... it's on here somewhere..."
She stated, pointing up the beanstalk with a light huff. She wasn't about to go and climb that thing... it was way too high.

"I uh... I really don't want to go up there..."
She said shyly, glancing back to Cirven with a slightly guilty look.

"I'm uh... afraid of heights..."
She continued to mumble, now looking down at the ground as her cheeks flushed.

He followed his sister around the village as she sniffed around the area. It took a bit because she wanted to get a good scent of the area before really catching the scent of the cat. Her nose lead them to the beanstalk she spoke of checking earlier ironically.

"Scared of heights?" He laughed at her. "This beanstalk is nothing, Aalya. I'll show you that fears are something you are supposed to overcome." He grabbed the large tree-like object and placed his hands on the branches in order to climb up.

He moved his hand to another branch as he moved up and felt something crawling on his hand. "AHHH!" He let out a high pitched scream and shook his hand out like crazy to get whatever was on it off. He then continued climbing and tried to act like he didn't just have a panic attack over a bug.

He climbed higher until he heard the sound of a cat getting closer. "Think I might of found it up here!" He yelled back down to her.

Aayla couldn't help but laugh as Cirven suddenly freaked out when something crawled onto his hand, or when he grabbed something... she wasn't sure what made him freak out, but it really made her laugh that after his little speech... he did little in the face of his own fears.

"Grab the cat and bring him down~! make sure he doesn't run away!"
She called up to the blue haired man, a smirk still on her face.

The cat meowed away from it's perch high up on the beanstalk. It just meowed and meowed as if having a conversation with itself. When it stopped, it was to get back onto his feet, eat a little bit of the beanstalk and continue on his way. He stepped out onto the ledge of the beanstalk, attempting to climb up to the next loop before he slipped and began to slide back down the beanstalk, meowing pitifully for help.

Cirven noticed the cat was starting to fall down and used his strength to jump up quickly and catch him before he fell any further. "Got you, you little runt!" The cat wasn't too pleased with being touched by a unfamiliar person and scratched and clawed at the arms that were placed around it.

"Stop it you dumbass! Before we both.. Mhmhmhmm!" Cirven was cut off by the cat jumping onto his face. The feline then scratched and clawed at his face and caused him to lose his grip on the beanstalk and fall off with the cat still on his face. He managed to pull the cat off of his face while they were falling down from the beanstalk. "You crazy idiot cat! Aalya! Do something! Rather you not be down a brother!" He yelled out as he held the cat away from his face in their free fall.

"Cirven! Are you alright!?"
she called out when she first noted the cat scratch at his arm. She really didn't like cats, and that was one of the reasons why. She didn't like them, and they didn't like her. 

The cat hissed at cirven as he was grabbed, scratching his arm and jumping onto his face to try and jump back onto the beanstalk when he was grabbed again and suddenly, they were both falling.

"Cirven! Watch out-!"
Too late, down they went, plummeting to the earth causing Aayla to run forward and bring her arms in front of her.

"Water Lock!"
She called out, relying on the only spell she believed could help in a situation like this. The spell caught the bodies of the falling man and feeling, stopping their descent until Aayla brought the bubble down on the ground and released them.

The cat did not look happy, it's tail was twitching angrily, now soaked from the water as it glared at Aayla the entire way back to his owners. Whenever Aayla would get close, it would start to hiss angrily and swipe at her.

The cat:

He somehow manged to keep his grip on the cat as they fell and keep it from cutting him up much more. He figured it was from how scared the cat was as they fell from so high. The cat's face changed into pure shock as the water wrapped around them from Aalya's magic. The water lock softened their blow to the ground and saved them.

"Thanks, sis. I think the cat isn't so impressed though." He laughed as he held the wet cat up to her.

They returned the drenched cat to its owner while Cirven was also soaked. The cat attacked Cirven's face again before jumping into the arms of its owner's. The woman looked on confused at first but happily took her returned cat and rewarded them. The cat seemed to calm down in his owner's arms somehow.

"Cage that thing, lady..." He spoke out and then left with his sister.
