Revered as one of the most stubborn when it came to justice, and often willing to break the most rules for the sake of justice, Izou was always been one of the more aggressive gods. His banishment to the human world didn't take place until a hunt for a particularly elusive demon resulted in the great destruction of several villages. The hunt for the demon had been kept low-key, and thus with the mass destruction, Izou was framed as a god gone rogue. Without a trial, the Autumn Leaf Battle God was banished from the Heavenly Court, sending him down to the human world as an exiled celestial.

Despite his rather strict appearance and supposedly polite bearing, Izou has an uncanny ability to make others angry or frustrated with his straightforward nature. Three centuries of interaction have failed to change him in any way, being quite blunt when he speaks with someone and gets to the point of being extremely sarcastic. Personality:
Hailing from the Eiko province of Midi, Izou was brought up as a warrior. Rather secluded from the rest of Midi in terms of governance and yet openly progressive, the governance of Eiko is led by an alliance of ten clans. Every year, a new leader and supporting council would be selected from the clans, through an organized combat tournament. Despite the crudeness of the method, there has never been any abuse of power as all of the clans were rather evenly matched in terms of strength and keeps each other in check.

Izou belonged to the Kayo clan, one of the strongest members in the clan in terms of combat strength as well as tactical ability. For years, he had led the battles for Kayo clan and eventually granted the title "Autumn Leaf Battle God" for his most momentous battle against another warrior from the Domo clan called Kazari who was awarded the title "Desert Dust King".

However, Izou was a very stubborn person and unless it was related to combat, would always go against the wishes of his clan leader. This led to the eventual removal of Izou from the Kayo clan's combat team when a newer fighter rose from their ranks, a younger and more ferocious fighter who could match Izou's strength. Knowing that he had been discarded, Izou chose to leave Eiko, and Midi entirely, promising that he would one day return for revenge.
