While he didn't hide his disappointment well after the joining up with Hika, he couldn't help but smile when he heard her greeting and saying it was good to see him again. Upon her mentioning it, Kite couldn't recall the last time he had the pleasure of being in the company of the guild ace, matter of fact this was probably the most interaction he ever had with her and it was really great how things were going. Kite had answered her very simple question with a short version of his journey which had brought him into the battle field where they stood. He felt a pat on his back and kind words come the Rose haired Mage "Unfortunately luck didn't make me faster otherwise Zoe would not have gotten nabbed. “ he said selling his arrival short a bit, he didn't like the thought of Zoe on her own out there with those lions.

Before Kite engaged his small group of lions, Hika declared that she would not go after Zoe but instead would stand by with Kite and dispatch these lions after optimistically reassured Kite and possibly herself that Zoe could take care of herself. Kite shrugged at her comment and then proceeded in taking out the smaller lions upon Hika’s claim on taking out the abnormally large Lion. "Good luck! “ he said as he proceeded to perform his fancy moves taking out two more of the young lions. He began to dust his hands signalling he was done and after the flames surrounding the lion he had dropped he looked up to see that was surrounded by four more lions. This fact caused an exasperated sigh to escape his mouth and he began to slouch, "Damn, looks like they got me here. “  he said as the four of them all pounced at him at the same time. Kite didn’t have much time to act, even less time to evade the incoming attack so his next move had to be a good one. Kite clipped his large sword back onto his back and ducked down as the lions came down on him. From anyone watching it would appear that he was getting mauled by the four lions while in reality they couldn’t quite get to anything vital. He had crouched down and positioned the large sword just right so the lions, while they were on top of his back couldn’t reach his neck or anything vital. "Wooo, close one, but it’s time to charbroil me some lions. “ he said as a swirl of White flames began to form around his body and the lions who paid them no mind and continued to try to dig through the sword to get to Kite underneath it. "Not today, Flame Demon’s commandment! “ he shouted as the swirl of flames erupted into a pillar like sprout of flames that fired straight into the air carrying the lions into the air like a geyser. They plummeted down to the earth, thudding upon contact, their fur was scorched from the attack and they didn’t move much at all.

Kite then stood up straight looking at the carnage that he had caused with his attack and with a smirk he dusted off the front of his pants and gave them a couple of pats before his attention were forced to  locked onto Hika after a large explosion occurred, she was fighting an abnormally large Lion, most likely this was the king that the village had mentioned. However by the the time he managed to actually lock onto her he saw her pinned down by the abnormally large beast who attempted to maul her to death. Kite’s red eyes widened and he began to channel his breath attack, "Hika! Raise it a little higher! “ he said as the white flames channeled into his mouth and he then craned his neck forward "Flame Demon’s RAGE! “ he shouted and fired a stream of white flames and aimed them at the large Lion who was too busy with Hika to react in time to his attack and his flames crashed into the lion and pushed it into a tree with great force. Kite quickly ran over to Hika and offered her his hand to help her up "Wow, that was close you alright? “ he asked her while waiting to help her up "Why don’t we take out this bastard together? “ he suggested to her.

"that’s what you get ugly. “ he had said right after his breath like attack crashed into the lion after Hika pushed it up just high enough for his attack to only hit the lion and not Hika by accident. The lion was howling in pain from the burns that it had received from Kite’s flames but it would have enough time to lick its wounds and keep fighting, Hika wasn’t about to allow it any room to breathe. Kite watched as his guild’s ace took a hold of her weapon, a rocket launcher designed after a shark which she had placed on her shoulder and took aim at the burning lion, the mouth of the shark looking rocket launcher was open and what happened was almost surprising. Hika pulled the trigger and fired a gigantic rocket from it and Kite just watched as it crashed into the Lion, exploding on contact, the force of which hit Kite pretty hard making him shift his stance in order to not get knocked on his butt and covered his eyes with his arm, protecting them from the incoming cloud of dust that blew into him, "Wow, good know that she likes things that go boom. “ he uncovered his eyes after making this statement in order to see the destruction that was left in the wake of her missile launcher only to see a lion on the forest ground surrounded by flames. A smirk grew on his face as he began to inhale deeply, sucking in the flames like strings of pasta until they were all gone. As he did this, Hika managed to make it back to her feet and dusted off her clothes and gave the Demon Slayer, her thanks for watching  her back with that lion that had jumped her by surprise. Kite gave a shrug and chuckled as well "Don’t even have to mention it. “ he said to her as he rested his hands on his hips and gave his usual friendly smile. "I’m sure that you would have done the same for me.“ he said to her right before she asked him if they should go and try to find Zoe. Kite let out a small hum and nodded "Yeah, Zoe is tough but there might be some more lions out and about even though big and ugly has been done in.“ he said.

Kite was about to get walking with Hika but he stopped in his tracks when, he had noticed something in the corner of his eye. Behind Hika the king Lion started to move, Kite didn’t see this, he only noticed when he saw The King approaching her, stalking her and was in mid pounce. "Hika! Watch your back! “ he said as he started to sprint towards her, after he drew his sword he felt an all too familiar aura flood from his body as he felt a spike of energy almost like an adrenaline rush and his speed boosted, his hand reached for her pulling her towards him it was possible she had gotten knocked on the ground which he would apologize later for and in the meantime he took a position behind her and jammed his massive sword into the massive jaws of the lion forcing it to chomp down on the incredibly dense metal of his sword instead of the soft flesh of Hika. "Sorry big guy, she isn’t on the menu “ he said as he pushed and pulled with his sword trying to dig it deeper or pull it free so he could do a combo like attack but it was stuck. From his flank, a massive paw slammed into Kite, sending him crashing into the ground, the force was almost enough to break some bone if it were any ordinary human but it hurt like hell. Kite used the momentum and backrolled so he was back on his feet and was looking at the lion who’s head was weighed down by Kite’s sword that was stuck in the roof of it’s mouth. "Hika it’s head is down! Let’s thrash him! Flame Demon’s Inferno Burst“ he held out his hand and focused his flames into a heat like lense which soon unleashed twelve pools of fire and shot them all at the lion who was stuck in place thanks to Shamash. Not wasting time before the attacks hit the King, Kite ran over towards the lion and behind the bright flash of his first spell hitting it’s mark he launched himself towards the beast with two streams of white fire trailing behind him, stemming from his hands which in a short time took the shape of two blades shaped and crafted from his Demon Slaying flames "Flame Demon’s Flambergs “ he shouted as he flew at the lion. The King lifted it’s paw trying to hit Kite again but Kite began rotating in mid air catching the lion’s par with one of his swords but that wasn’t the only one, he followed it up by using the motion of the spin to drive his other sword deep into it’s right hand side and searing it deep like a cut. As Kite flew past the lion he broke from his spin so he was facing the lion as he skidded for a stop but used this stop to springboard back in Hika’s direction but was on the left hand side of the beast, slashing it with both blades at once and drove the cut or the sear up to it’s neck and stopped several feet from the lion.
