Sephiria sighed silently as she maneuvered her way through the streets of Era towards the Magic Council building. One thing that sucked about being a rising star in the eyes of the Magic Council was that they would keep an eye on her like hawks. And that also meant she was obligated to complete jobs for them when they asked her for assistance. It didn’t matter much to Sephiria if they needed her help or not, but she did question why she was being called all the way out to Era to meet her partner for the job. The 3rd generation poison slayer liked getting straight to the mission, not dilly dally and meet with her teammate miles away from the actual mission location.

Sephiria scratched her wrist, just above where the limiter bracelet she wore sat. That was the actual only reason she hadn’t gone on ahead with the mission without her partner. The poison dragon slayer was told by her adopted father Reiki that using it would be a great way to increase her skills without relying too much on her magic. The limiter would make it impossible for her to use some of her more powerful spells, but it would garner a bit more experience with being under pressure. She just hoped her partner could handle themselves without much help from her, because was going to be useful in close range situations only.

Sephiria sighed once more as she arrived at the Magic Council building. She stood outside, waiting for her partner to meet her instead of actively searching for him or her. While she would abide by the council and follow their rules, it didn’t mean she actively liked any of them nor meet with them unless it was absolutely necessary. Sighing deeply one last time, the 3rd generation poison dragon slayer shifted her cloak so that her outfit was showing a bit. It was a white, long-sleeved, button-down shirt with a black ribbon on the shirt collar; to be worn under a black shoulder cape, a matching button-down corset and a magenta skirt with white accents. Sephiria had began to wear this outfit a lot more often, and she had also noticed she was a bit happier each time she went out. In fact, right now she was humming a soft tune to herself as she waited for her partner. The poison dragon slayer mentally noted this, in case anything weird started to happen. Of course she doubted it, but it was rather odd she was so happy.

Maybe life was truly starting to go her way?

“Were you called for an “urgent” job by the council?” Sephiria was knocked out of her musings and internal dialogue when she heard a quiet yet masculine voice next to her. Turning her head slightly, the red-headed poison slayer noticed a blue haired male that stood next to her. He didn’t look overly imposing, but there were two things that immediately put Sephiria’s mind at ease about the job. First, he was putting out a huge amount of magical power, way more than Sephiria. He was obviously strong enough to take care of himself. Secondly, from the way he smelled to the poison dragon slayer he was a slayer himself. Oddly, she figured he might be a dragon slayer. His smell was closer to Reiki’s and Aedre’s than a different slayer like Alye. If he was another dragon slayer, then the only other question Sephiria could come up with would be exactly which slayer he was.

But his magical power led to a quick question that formed within Sephiria’s mind; Why was she needed if this man could obviously take the job on his own and complete it? An obvious answer might be that she was going to be tested, but if that was the case then they were wasting time. A second answer might be that she was just going as backup, but again that seemed like they were just wasting time. Shaking the thoughts out of her head, Sephiria stuck her right hand out for a handshake in a friendly gesture to the man. Her left hand pulled her hood down and showed off her long flowing red hair

“Yes. I am here for that job. I assume you are as well?” She stated the obvious, but wanted to hear his answer anyways. It was better safe than sorry, and if he shook her hand then she would smile broadly. If not, she would softly smile and place her hand back at her side. “I am Sephiria. From Eclipse Soul. And you may be?” She properly introduced herself, as she would to anyone she had met. She hoped he was a kind gentleman, and not some brutish fellow who was focused on fighting and getting stronger. Although She thought with a small blush appearing on her cheeks. He isn’t bad looking at all. In the back of her mind, Sephiria could have sworn she heard cheering going on. She shook it off and tried to focus back on the man in front of her.

“We should probably meet the council members now to fully understand and find out what we are doing, shall we not?” The young man, or now known to the 3rd generation slayer as Ayeseru, questioned, to which the poison slayer nodded firmly. Sephiria knew that the council would not wait for them forever, and as much as she doesn’t like being ordered around by them, she had to get this job done quick. Sephiria turned towards the magic council building and started walking, hoping Ayeseru would follow soon afterwards. She turned either way and gave him about as bright as smile as she ever gave.

“Well, this should be no problem for us right?”
    -------------------------------------------
    Job Information:
    --------------------------------------------
Sephiria walked out of the magic council building with a small frown on her face. The poison dragon slayer had learned a few interesting things while in the meeting with the magic council. First, the job was about defeating lycans, or wolves if one would prefer to call them that. Sephiria was okay with not killing them, but it might get harder with the tougher lycans to simply defeat them. Second, her partner Ayeseru was a wizard saint. That came as almost a complete shock, she had heard about the wizard saints but never actually met one. Now she was going to be the partner to one of maybe Fiore’s strongest, and not to mention better looking, mages. That made her lips curl up into a smile, it seemed some of Gisen had indeed rubbed off on her. She was going to try to see how much he was interested in her by flirting with him. She had already began on that by taking most of her cloak off and wearing it like a cape, showing off her body to him and acting very friendly. Sephiria was quite confident about her body, and thus was assured that she was getting all of the wizard saint’s attention. Even so, she took the time to walk closer to him and brush up against him ever so slightly.

Sephiria turned to her partner and gave him the warmest smile she could. “So Ayeseru, shall we be off to this village?”

The 3rd generation dragon slayer was a bit irritated at how dense Ayeseru appeared to be. It was quite obvious that she was showing interesting in him, but he appeared to not understand any of it. Sephiria had rarely dealt with people who were as dense as the wizard saint was, so she did not know how to approach this situation. The poison dragon slayer was adamant though, and would continue to try to flirt with him until he got the message. Sephiria walked a bit closer to him again and walked with more sway in each of her steps. She had some success, as the poison slayer caught the wizard saint checking her out a couple times, but other than that he was quite oblivious to her advances. Sephiria smiled at his question before answering.

“Well walking there seems like the best option for both of us. As we are both slayers and transportation seems to be the least desirable thing to us.” Sephiria grimaced slightly as she thought about it. Even as a 3rd generation slayer, it was impossible for her to be on most forms of transportation without feeling sick to her stomach. Sephiria flipped her hair over her shoulder, and continued talking. “Whatever we decide, I would not mind spending more time with you. Maybe walking would be the best choice for that.” The poison dragon slayer spoke with some seductiveness in her voice. It wasn’t as subtle as other gestures, but she wouldn’t go too far with it until she knew he was interested in return. The wizard saint would need to be flirted with carefully, and not rushed into it.

Sephiria adjusted her swords on her back, as Gisen and Charles were quiet. If this was anytime before she first activated Dragon Force, she would be very worried about what was going on. But seeing as how the swords would most likely be currently trying to figure out a way to keep her Dragon Force under control whenever she activated it. Sophie would probably be doing the exact same thing, so she didn’t bother with bugging them on how to try and gain Ayerseru’s attention. It would only serve to embarrass herself further, and probably would screw with her chances with the wizard saint.

She’d rather do this on her own if that was the case.

Sephiria pretended to think over the proposition that Ayerseru had given her. She rarely liked being carried by anyone, even when she was bleeding out and in need of immediate assistance. But in this case, it would probably be nice and somewhat comfortable in the arms of a big strong handsome man like the wizard saint. Maybe they could ignore the mission and he would take her to a secluded area. Then he would take her and ravish her until she-

Wait Sephiria never thought about things like that.

The 3rd generation poison dragon slayer heard a maniacal giggle from the back of her mind, and she had to stifle the sigh that would normally come out. Gisen was still at her usual tricks, which meant that the swords had been paying attention in fact. She hoped that the red blush that rose on her cheeks didn’t offend Ayerseru as she turned to him.

“I would think that…..since you’re stronger and faster……..it would be wise to allow you to carry me.” Sephiria mentally kicked herself for being so embarrassed about things like that. It had been some time since she had actively searched for a relationship, but she had felt more confident about this than that. She would have to calm herself somewhat, and try to keep her cool around Ayeseru. It would do no good for her to screw up any chances at a relationship. Sephiria took her blades off her back and strapped them to her hip. This would make it so that she could pull them out as necessary, instead of having to reach around her back. While that did make it look cooler, it was too much movement needed. Sephiria thought of a quick question while she moved her weapons.

“Ayeseru…..you are a slayer correct?” Sephiria asked, although she was certain enough of the fact he smelled completely like one. “If so, which one are you?” She wished that she had done more homework on the wizard saints beforehand, as the council only gave her his title before they left. Sephiria felt stupid asking this question, but it was better to keep the conversation going in order to learn a lot more about him than to let it come out gradually.

Because no matter how cute he was, Ayeseru didn’t seem to be the brightest tool in the shed when it came to these matters.

Sephiria let out a loud ‘eep’ noise when the shadow slayer had whisked her off her feet in an instant. She blinked and noticed that her arms had already locked themselves around Ayeseru’s neck. Her face went completely red from the experience, and she had to do everything in her power to immediately go into her shy state and pull her hands off his neck. Instead, she wrapped herself closer to him if possible. The wizard saint was even more handsome up close, Sephiria noted, as despite the flaws one might normally would be turned off by it only made him look that much more handsome in her opinion. Although, the poison dragon slayer quietly mused inside her head, eventually I must ask what happened to his face and arm. It does not seem like he wants to talk about it now though, so I shall wait. So entrapped was Sephiria in her own thoughts she almost didn’t hear what Ayeseru had said to her.

“Wait, what was that about a bumpy ri-AHHHHH” Sephiria tried to ask, but was cut off by her own voice screaming as the wizard saint shot off. Sephiria clutched onto him tighter as her screams turned into laughter. The poison slayer had never gone this fast in her life without passing out or throwing up, as most machines that went this fast had caused her to. It felt amazing to feel the wind going through her hair, and to see all the people going by at a very fast rate. Sephiria stopped laughing and just looked towards everything they were passing, a small smiled plastered on her face.

“Eh?” She blinked as she heard Ayeseru’s question. It was something she was used to by now,  but she had been caught off guard by the abruptness of it. “Well I’m good at using it, but i'm certainly no ruler of my element.” Sephiria humbly said as she moves her arms off of his neck in order to create a few senbon. She twirled them in her fingers, noting silently to herself that they seemed to be a bit more red than purple. “I am the poison dragon slayer. Nothing as cool as your shadows, or father’s ice.” She spoke with a sigh, as she felt her poison was inadequate compared to other slayers who had more explosive or destructive magic. All her poison could do was slowly injure or disorient people. Her eyes closed briefly before she opened them again, however to anyone who looked even remotely at her they could tell that her left eye had changed colors from their normal blue to red. It shifted back when she blinked again, and Sephiria was none the wiser.

Post by Samus Aran 1st April 2014, 7:32 am

Sephiria sighed when Ayeseru complimented her magic. It was sweet of him to do that, really, but it was just unnecessary. She was proud of her magic yes, but it really wasn’t the most fun magic that she could have thought of using. The 3rd generation dragon slayer fiddled with the hilt of her blades, not wanting to put herself down any further than she already had. It was bad enough that she had a maniacal twisted version of herself inside her mind that was attempting to overtake her consciousness and destroy everything she loved putting her down, she didn’t need to be doing that herself. The poison slayer twiddled around with the sword, looking at the wizard saint holding her now and again before….

“Eep!” She was startled again when she felt herself start to bounce in the shadow slayer’s grip. Sephiria continued to blink rapidly each time she went up and down, confused as to why she was bouncing. Well, he did say that it would be a bumpy ride. The young slayer just didn’t figure he meant it would literally be a bumpy ride. Sephiria kept her thoughts to herself while he adjusted her so she would stop bouncing around. Once Ayeseru did, she turned her head towards him and flashed another smile. “Well, that was indeed bumpy. I am curious however, did you do that on purpose so that you could see me and my assets ‘bounce’?” Sephiria joked with a giggle. The poison slayer didn’t usually act like this, but being influenced by an ancient blade that has slight psychological problems and a knack for seducing anyone who got in its way would change even the prudest of people.

An offended “Hey!” coming from inside her mind told Sephiria that the blade was still at least half aware of what was going on.

Sephiria looked towards where they were running and noticed an outline of a river coming up fast. They were moving very quickly, and thus her time in the wizard saint’s arms would be coming to a close soon. Sephiria at least wanted to continue conversation, as it would seem rude to just stay quiet. “Ayeseru…..You’re from Blue Pegasus right? I’ve heard some things about the guild but I must ask….” Her face hardens a bit, this question never came easy despite how mundane it might seem to others. “How close are you to your guildmaster?”

Post by Samus Aran 2nd April 2014, 2:24 pm

When Ayeseru stopped Sephiria had been in the middle of a yawn. She looked up to notice it was about mid-afternoon and that the two slayers had made it to the lake. The poison slayer was busy mulling over the answer the wizard saint had given her. It was quite obvious that, yet again, she had been disappointed when it came to figuring out more about a famous Dragon Slayer. First it was the events in Magnolia that caused her to gain her memory back, and then it was the events that had occurred in Era that stopped her from traveling there to try and meet a famous Slayer. It was fine though, since she personally knew three other slayers and now had met a fourth one. Ayeseru set her down and, immediately, Sephiria began to stretch in order to keep her blood circulating. It had been a long trip already, and she didn’t want all of her limbs failing on her when it most counted. She was certain the shadow slayer would want her to fight something at least, and despite the limiter she would most definitely fight with all of her strength.

When Ayeseru started to speak to her, Sephiria continued to stretch but turned her body and attention towards the wizard saint. She smiled softly when he struggled to ask her if she wanted to spend more time with him, and continued to stretch and show off her body towards him. Of course she would easily take him up on his offer, as she liked being around him a lot. From his kind personality, to the way she felt safe and secure in his arms, everything about Ayeseru Suzumoto made her feel warm inside. Sephiria embraced this warm feeling with open arms, staring deeply into his eyes and getting lost in them during the ride over and over. Sephiria knew how this type of thing went, as she had experienced it before, and she was extremely confident that this mutual attraction of theirs would bud into a romance if they kept at it enough. The poison slayer was assured of this, despite only being in one relationship. Which was with an admittedly airheaded girl that had some of the most basic romance tips told to her by a doll.

Maybe not the greatest love guru, but hell it worked for Sephiria.

The poison dragon slayer smiled as she finished stretching when Ayeseru finished his question, and placed her hands on her hips. “Well that was a very long wording of ‘would you like to spend more time with me’. But in any case, yes. I would love to spend more time with you.” Sephiria smiled as she accepted his invitation. Inside her mind, she was whooping for joy along with the other members of her psyche.

Post by Samus Aran 4th April 2014, 1:32 pm

Sephiria had started to continue stretching after she accepted Ayeseru’s offer to spend time with him. She felt that they might only sit around and talk or something, so she wouldn’t let her muscles relax too much so that she would feel awkward in battle. It was something new she incorporated into her daily lifestyle so that she was always ready to fight if the situation needed it. Sephiria had learned from her mistakes, so she was not going to be caught off guard anymore.

Which is why, the 3rd generation slayer was completely caught off guard when Ayeseru swept her off her feet again. The proud warrior, for what felt like about the 90th time that day, eeped and blushed furiously. It appeared that the redhead's face would out brighten her hair, which seemed to brighten more in response. She turned to the shadow slayer, but before Sephiria could say anything he jumped into the lake with her. The poison slayer wasn’t the greatest swimmer, but she began to swim her way up to the top of the lake when she felt Ayeseru grab her hand. Sephiria swam along with him until they broke the surface. The wizard saint began to laugh, and Sephiria giggled along with him. The poison slayer did feel refreshed, and it honestly felt good to just relax instead of worrying about things. How long has it been since I could do this? It feels……..great.

"You know... I don't actually know much about you. Why don't you let me in a little?"

Sephiria cocked her head at Ayeseru’s question about herself. She didn’t really know what to say, there wasn’t much of anything interesting that she did. “Well….” Sephiria began nervously. “I am a swordsman…...I um like to read….” The poison slayer looked down, ashamed that there wasn’t much that she did. “I….know I’m not all that interesting. There really isn’t much else to state. I do have an adopted father and mother. They’re also slayers.” Sephiria smiled softly remembering her two parents. They had done so much for her in such a little time, and she could only repay them back so much. Maybe something was in order for her to do in return?

At any rate, she shook her head. “I don’t have much else to say. I mean, what exactly could you want to know about me?” Sephiria asked, cocking her head to the side cutely with a questionable look on her face.

Sephiria blushed when Ayeseru called her interesting. The poison dragon slayer really didn’t think she was all that interesting when it came down to it, and to be not considered boring was an accomplishment in her books. Sephiria felt like the two slayers were making progress, they obviously interested each other and the mutual attraction was still plainly visible to see to anyone. Just give it enough time and they would probably be all over each other. Well, she might be all over him but what do specifics matter? None at all in her case.

This is why when Ayeseru’s attitude changed slightly she was caught completely off guard. He seemed very interested one moment, then the next he seemed to be sad. He released her hands and went on shore, with Sephiria looking on concerned the entire time. He sat on the shore, Sephiria slowly floating over behind him wondering what had gotten him upset. Ayeseru turned back to the poison dragon slayer and gave her a smile, although through her years of doing the same thing Sephiria could quite easily tell that it was sort of forced. It only served to make her frown a little instead of the reassurance that he probably assumed she would take from it.

"I'm terribly sorry about that...  We can still talk, if you desire, though I would prefer not to be in the water any longer.  You may do as you please, and we shall advance once you feel prepared to do so."

When he sighed, Sephiria frowned further while she was getting on land. It felt like the progress they had made was going in the opposite direction now, he was withdrawing into a shell that she might not get him out of even if she tried as hard as she could. The redhead shook her hair free of all the water that got in it and walked over to the shadow slayer and placed a hand on his shoulder with a soft smile on her face.

“Do not worry about it Ayeseru. We can talk outside of the water if you prefer. We can even stop talking if you prefer that.” Sephiria looked towards the sky briefly before her eyes turned back to Ayeseru. “We can leave at any time you prefer. My clothing would need a good wind dry anyways.” The poison slayer joked with another giggle. She would push for a chance to gain his affection, but she wouldn’t push too far. That could only serve to drive him off and ruin the entire thing.

And she didn’t want that now, did she.

Sephiria did not make a single sound as Ayeseru lifted her off the ground and back into his arms. After hearing him thank her, she simply giggled and shook her head. “No need to thank me. It is what I would do for anyone, at anytime.” The poison dragon slayer gave what she hoped was a generally reassuring smile to the wizard saint and looked forward to where he was running. Sephiria wouldn’t talk unless he wanted to talk first, so she kept her mouth shut and just enjoyed the breeze as they rushed past the scenery. Closing her eyes, she went into her mind to check on her occupants.

Her mind was calm at the moment, as she was thinking of nothing at all while allowing her body to be carried as easily as possible by the wizard saint. That didn’t mean her occupants weren’t busy themselves, as they usually were. The blades were trying to, as per their usual recently, figure out how Sephiria could control her dragon force without losing herself completely in the power. Obviously, Sophie was trying to help out as best as she could, but the spirit was best doing nothing but cheering them on. They were too occupied to notice anything going on in the outside world at the moment.

Sephiria cracked open a eye when Ayeseru began to talk to her, and kept it open even after he told her what he originally wanted to ask wasn’t important at the moment. She wanted him to understand that she was in fact listening, even if it didn’t seem like it at the time. Sephiria was very much interested in anything that Ayeseru had to say, so she was going to pay as much attention to him as possible.

As long as she didn’t fall asleep.

Sephiria giggled and waved off Ayeseru’s second thanking of her. “Again, it is no problem.” the 3rd generation poison slayer said with a smile on her face. “It is what I would do for anyone.” Sephiria smiled softly and looked forward again, noticing how the sun was starting to set.

Meaning the time for their arrival was approaching.

Sephiria felt her face heat up from the compliment that Ayeseru had given her. It wasn’t new for the 3rd generation dragon slayer to receive praise; a job well done or managing to accomplish something impressive in the eyes of people will normally get one praise and words of thanks. But for her to get a compliment from such a handsome gentleman like Ayeseru, it was almost too much for her poor brain to handle. She tried to turn her face away and hide the blush that was very much obvious on her face. Her heart was hammering a bit in her chest, so she tried to calm it without him noticing by gently placing her hand over her chest.

Sephiria ‘eeped’ once again as Ayeseru nearly ran into a tree for the second time. It didn’t scare her that much as the first time, but it was still a surprise. His apology was met with a small smile and shake of her head. “It is no problem. Just be more careful with your cargo. You don’t want to damage these ‘goods’ do you?” The poison dragon slayer joked while using one of her arms to push her chest up slightly. Sephiria burst into a small fit of giggles afterwards, waving her hand in a joking like manner. “I’m sorry, but I had to.” Sephiria hoped that Ayeseru didn’t feel offended or anything with her joke. It seemed that she was getting more flirty than usual, and to the dragon slayer’s defense it wasn’t her fault. The time was getting closer, and thus she was starting to use more and more traits of her occupants instead of her own.

………..That was a morbid thought if she actually thought on it, so Sephiria wouldn’t anymore. Besides, they still had time. As long as they had time, she was fine with what was going to happen.

Shaking her head to clear her mind, Sephiria looked towards the outline of the village with a bit of a fanged grin on her face. “Well. I hope that this job is as interesting as my last ones.” The poison dragon slayer stated with hope in her voice. She didn’t know how this would turn out, but she had to hope it would be a memorable time all the same.

As her left eye once again flashed red for a brief moment, Sephiria could only think about now and not the future.

Sephiria’s attention once again immediately went to Ayeseru, as the shadow slayer had spoken to her once more, turning her head towards him. When she did, a smile formed on her face once more. He seemed to struggle with what he wanted to say, before taking it back again and holding it in. Sephiria was very much disappointed, but she didn’t show it at all. Instead, the small smile that had formed on her face just softened as her gaze stayed on Ayeseru for a bit longer. The poison dragon slayer was confident now that the wizard saint indeed wanted to ask her out, but he didn’t have the total confidence in himself just yet. That’s alright, Sephiria thought as she noticed they were approaching the entrance to the village rapidly, I’ll just give him the extra time he needs. Pushing him would only make things get harder, and he might retreat into his shy shell again.

Sephiria stretched out her arms and back when Ayeseru placed her back on the ground. She almost fell backwards at first, but managed to keep her balance. Being carried for a long time sure feels weird, the poison dragon slayer thought with a slight grimace. I hope this doesn’t happen often. It would be very awkward to do this more than once in a while. Sephiria’s attention was once again brought to Ayeseru when he began speaking. The 3rd gen slayer had to smile again when he showed concern for her on this mission, obviously knowing that it was slightly above her level in terms of needed skill. She took a peek at her limiter, knowing that she would have more of a chance if it wasn’t on her arm at the moment. But she had it on so she could grow a bit more without relying on her magic completely. Sephiria was budding into a very skilled swordswoman, and this would help immensely.

Whether or not she would be walking away from this job on her feet was definitely up for question, however.

Sephiria smirked deviously, as Ayeseru landed a challenge for them to complete and a goal for the poison slayer to accomplish. This was obviously her chance to get him on a date with her, so she couldn’t fail at this. She pushed her katana up, the blade glinting slightly in the moonlight as she prepared herself for the job. “I’ll take this as a challenge. We shall accomplish it.” Sephiria spoke with confidence radiating out of her voice. It wasn't her being cocky, but it was just her confidence with how they could do this job. The two would obviously get this done fast enough.

But there was also this slight feeling she had. The feeling like something was going to end after this job. Sephiria normally didn’t think much about the omens she got, but this one was different than anything else. It felt like her world would change soon.

    Like…..she would change soon.
