Thief King! [Quest ; Zenshin and Hikari]

Hikari gasped when she saw Zenshin being attacked by fireballs. Smokes covered her sight as she squinted her eyes and searched for Zenshin. There, she caught sight of him, on top of a ..... a .... a dragon?!  Her eyes widened and her mouth hanged open. She had never seen a dragon before. Well, it's not a real dragon but it was close to it and was made of ice. She watched the dragon picked up its tail and banged it on the wizards. Then, the dragon slashed its claws on the enemies, greatly injuring them. Hikari blinked several times when she heard the dragon's roar. It almost made her go deaf. Hikari was awestruck. She didn't know that Zenshin was this powerful. As expected of a Sabertooth mage...

She extended one of her hands again and whispered, "Pillars." Hikari summoned four pillars again but was blocked. "Goddamnit! My attacks are failing," Hikari cursed under her breath and ran her fingers through her hair. "Geezus," She rolled her eyes. Quickly, she blocked the incoming attack from the wizards by extending her hand once again and summoned one more pillar as fast as she can. She doesn't want to be dependent on others, neither does she wants to be protected. That'd make her seem so weak and useless. She stole a glance at Zenshin and made a vow that she'd try her best to become as strong as him and the other higher-ranked mages in her guild.

Zenshin was taking in more air than normal, as he was fatigued from so much magic use at one time, but he didn't noticed, he was just focused on 'round 2'. After Hikari seemed to be at a safe distance, he snapped his finger once more, prompting his dragon to spin again its tail just barely able to reach the three mages it slammed earlier. Though they were able to block it, there was no way they would be able to get back up after not one, but TWO slams of a huge, scaly tail made from dense, dark infused ice. The other two men tried to escape, but his dragon was too close for them to do such a thing, so it blew out its wings to their full length and flapped them, accelerating it quickly into the two smugglers. Its wings slammed into the thick armor on their backs, but just like the other two, it was the second slam of a body part of his dragon into them, they were definitely out for the count.

Not only that, they took boulders and pillars from his partner mage, Hikari, there was only so much they could block before they went down. Getting down on his stomach, he patted his dragon while telling it aloud, "nice job". With a final finger snap, his dragon disappeared from under him in a black cloud of sublimation, with him landing on his bare feet. "Good job. Now that that's done, we should go get that crate of lacrima before their leader shows up" he said, rushing her to go and help him with the crate.

Zenshin finished the attack with 2 huge slams on the wizards. YES! YES! YESSSSS! Her inner-self yelling in happiness. She threw a fist into the air and jumped around as if she had ruled the world. She was feeling so happy she could die. Hikari clapped her hands for Zenshin whilst grinning like an idiot. "Yay! We succeeded!" Hikari exclaimed, throwing both of her hands in the air in victory.

"Good job. Now that that's done, we should go get that crate of lacrima before their leader shows up"

Hikari nodded as she skipped along together with Zenshin, deeper into the ruins to obtain the Lacrima. She scanned around the place quickly so as to avoid meeting with the boss. She'd be killed instantly with his extraordinary skills in one attack. She wasn't that much of a help for Zenshin but at least she did her best. Glancing around, she caught sight of the lacrima, at last. She gasped and pointed at it, ”OH! We’ve found it!” She ran up towards it and knocked lightly on the lacrima. Hikari was in very high spirits, unusually. It must be because they had won over their enemies. She turned back to look at Zenshin and beamed at him. ”Okay, so, how do we carry this thing?” Hikari raised an eyebrow and stared at him, with a hand on her waist.

"Yay! We succeeded!"he heard her exclaim after his dragon defeated the criminals. I guess a C rank job means a lot more when you aren't high above that... especially when you're below. I wonder... but his thoughts were interrupted by a question from his partner. ”Okay, so, how do we carry this thing?" she said, glaring at him with eyes that penetrated his own, as if staring into his very soul. "Oh, well that's the easy part. Ice make, peregrine falcon!" he exclaimed with his arms raised behind him. In that very instant, a magical circle appeared behind him and an enormous falcon shot of it with a loud caw out of pure instinct.

Zenshin's 'dynamic' creations, though he preferred the term animate, had a sort of 'mind of their own'. If a lesser maker tried the same thing, their creations would most likely be 'disobedient', but he had built up a kind of relationship with his creations that they would gladly follow his commands until he was content. Looking at his creation that now stood many feet above his own height, looking down at him, he made certain gestures and asked if it was willing to carry the lacrima back to the train platform. It simply nodded at him and began to flap its wings, hovering a bit in the air while sending the surrounding sand flying. Zen jumped up his creation and created two small handles made of ice at the base of its neck to hold on to.

Then, he created two handles a bit farther on the back for his partner to grip before helping her up onto his creation. Finally, once both the mages were on, it picked up the crate with its two large feet and flew away, goes to show that you shouldn't leave 'merchandise' unattended, or at least, unattended by yourself he thought while his creation breezed through the air, the crate secure in the icy claws of the falcon.

"Oh, well that's the easy part. Ice make, peregrine falcon!" Zenshin bellowed as he created a huge falcon, requesting it to help him carry the lacrima. The falcon flapped its wings hard, billowing her hair and making the sand around to spread further. Hikari struggled to get on the falcon but was helped by Zenshin. She gripped on the icey handles, which was created by Zen so as not to fall off. The falcon bent down slightly, trying to get more energy for the take off. It grabbed the lacrima with its claws and with a swift, they departed the ruins.

The sight from above was breathtaking though the bright sun was blazing down at them. She wiped the sweat off her forehead with her sleeves and smiled. She gazed down and realized that they were really high up in the air. The objects underneath just looked like ants scurrying around. Hikari laughed at the thought of it. This was her first mission and she was able to complete it without any injury. She was glad enough that Zenshin was there for her. A smile crept up on her face as she stared at his back. She glanced up at the sky, looking forward to the days in Sabertooth.
