Description & Appearance:
A young crafter had fallen in love with a noblewoman of his own age but due to their social standings he knew he had no chance to be with her, her parents would never allow it. Day after day he sat and watched her at the edge of a year by the pond, just watching as the lotus blossoms made their way through the mud and to the top of the water where they would bloom. He finally found the courage to ask “Why do you come here every day and watch the lotus?”, and was told, “One day I wish I can be free from the darkness and blossom like the lotus does”. This made the young man think hard on the words that were spoken to him, but he couldn't understand as much as he tried.

A few weeks later however he had heard that the woman that he loved was going to be betrothed to another at the end of the year, to a wealthy man from another province. The young man was heartbroken but hoped he could at least give the young woman something to hold onto from her home and so went about making a beautiful silver chain and lotus pendant. A month before the betrothal was supposed to be made official he had seen the young woman once more and presented her the masterfully crafted necklace. She had asked “Why have you done such a thing for me?”, to which he replied, “Because my love for you is as pure as the lotus you watch”. The young woman couldn't help but be caught off guard and blush to his honest response.

Over the next month, the two had started courting in secret, they knew it was something that would never be allowed, yet they were drawn to each other like moths to flames. On the final week before her betrothal they were meant to say their final farewells to one another, but instead, they came up with a plan to elope on the eve of the betrothal. The young woman had gotten to the arranged meeting place even dressing down so she could blend in with what her new life would be, she waited for thirty minutes and started to panic believing he wouldn't turn up. That is when she had seen him smile, seeing he had sold everything he had to ensure their safe passage and new beginning together.



Abilities:

Light's Guidance:
The lotus spends its time in darkness as it grows, this is until it blooms at the top of the pond or lake that it had been in. As a symbol of purity, it can, through touch, remove up to three negative effects per thread without cost before this ability goes dormant.

Unusual Defence:
The lotus is a beautiful flower when in bloom and stands as a symbol of hope and peace. This ability increases the MP an enemy requires to cast a spell by 50% as long as they are within the users rank advanced burst range (Up to S+) and they have taken damage from the user within the same round. The debuff wears off after two rounds and cannot stack.
