Rise into a New World {Intro || Open}

Althea stood silently outside a simple rectangular building, gazing at it with eyes brimming with excitement.  It was Fairy Tail's guild hall she was staring so intently at, and Althea wanted to burn everything about that moment into her head - the one when she finally became a proper wizard.  The young girl lingered at the entrance for a while longer, a wide grin slowly etching across her face.  She then realized that she'd only drive herself insane from the building tension and decided to finally pushed open the oak doors that laid between her and her future, excited to see what she would find on the other side.

The Guild Hall was even more exceptional than what Althea had imagined - which is an impressive feat in itself seeing her expectations were rather sizable before laying eyes on the it.  Althea had heard from an elderly couple that helped her travel to Magnolia that Fairy Tail was quaint compared to other guilds, but Althea found that the building seemed much larger than anything she had seen before.  She couldn't help but wonder how other places in the world were like, and at this query Althea was dosed by a wave of anticipation for her first job.  She would choose the best job on the board - exhilarating sights, heart-throbbing battles, everything a good adventure needs!

Without a hint of hesitation, Althea gazed frivolously around the first floor, wondering what it was she was supposed to do next.  Do I just...get a job?  No, that can't be right, I've just gotten here. I'm not even part of the guild yet.  Anyways, how do I join...?  Her excitement slowly faded to confusion, feeling like she was a small speck in a very large world.  Althea hated to think about it, but could she really be apart of a guild?  It wasn't as if Althea was a particularly powerful wizard, and her magic wasn't all too special.  But almost as soon they appeared in her conscious, Althea immediately hushed the second-guessed.  She would become a wizard whether the world wanted it or not - and a great too!  With renewed confidence, Althea sought someone who could possibly aid her in joining Fairy Tail.

Althea had nearly begun approaching the bar when the circular samurai thing appeared in front of her face, obstructing her path.  It seemed to be sentient, but where was the rest of it?  Did it do some sort of unfolding to become a whole being, or was this form it’s only one?  It was obviously magical, but where was it coming from?  She was fascinated along with speechless, having only really experienced various forms of snow, ice, or wind magic.  They were the only things Althea actually needed knowledge of to cast Blizzard magic, but seeing new kinds wouldn’t hurt.
Absorbed in her own thoughts, Althea wasn’t really listening to what the being was saying since she was marveling over the fact it was speaking at all.  But she managed to catch one phrase, ‘you look adorable’.  It prompted Althea too gaze behind her her back, not 100% sure the being was speaking to her.  But, no one was there besides a few other mages preoccupied in their own conversations.  Turning her attention back to misguided samurai thing.  But before Althea spoke, someone only about a half of a foot taller than her approached.
She simply stared blankly at him as he began talking to her, too busy sizing him up.  But as it turned out, Althea discovered the mage was way out of her league that is was fairly ridiculous.  Realizing her lack of a response at first, Althea scrambled to say something.  “I’m here to join Fairy Tail!  Could you tell me how?”  she exclaimed plainly, Althea’s eyes lighting up as she realized she was most likely speaking to a member of that very guild.  Wow!  So cool~!

Althea turned her head sharply towards the new voice coming into the exchange.  It was a young boy, although his features were a bit cutsey in Althea’s opinion.  I guess Fairy Tail wouldn’t have a problem with accepting kids.  After all, they’re known for being a mercenary guild.  It probably doesn’t phase them to have people on the younger side part of it.  Her eyes widened slightly as she detected his impressive amount of magical power.  It was close to what she expected for an adult doing pretty serious stuff, but Althea never thought she would get those kinds of readings from a kid.  Although surprised, the young wizard was only motivated by the revelation.  Under the reasoning that someone else under the age of 18 could get that strong, so could she.
Althea met Haru’s fist with her own, performing more of a ‘pound’ than a ‘bump’.  “Hi!  I’m Althea, but Thea’s fine too.”  she chirped.  Her visage revealed a wide smile as the general excitement of the situation began getting to her.  New place, new people, it was all part of the beginnings of a brand new adventure.  The anticipation to begin performing jobs returned to her from when she faced the front doors, bubbling precariously.  It wasn’t like she hadn’t liked the mountains, it was where she grew up, but sometimes ‘new’ is just more fun than the usual.  On the contrary, Althea loved those peaks and thought of them as the best place on Earthland.  It was just that there were places that she wants to visit, and has to leave home in order to reach them.  It was getting kind of lonely there anyway.
Althea was rather pleased with the term ‘snack buddy’, not quite understanding what if meant, but was able to convince herself otherwise.  And with the talk of snacks, she began fantasizing about food for a solid 30 seconds, completely missing Haru’s next comment entirely.  Snapping back into reality after realizing where exactly she was, Althea focused on her current main objective.  “So...how do I join?”  She gazed around, ready to guess if she needed to, “Someone at the bar?  Do I just take a job?”  In fact, she actually spun around, apparently wanting to check for something in the direction she just came from.  After all, you never knew in a magical building like this.

Althea’s expression turned to one of wonder and excitement at the word ‘mark’ was uttered.  A guild mark was the ultimate embodiment of your dedication, your morals, and your status.  You receive one in order to display your loyalty to a guild, something practically sacred to Althea.  Someone should only ask for one if they’re ready to devote their entire being to their new guild.  But, the young wizard was obviously willing to live for the purpose of magic, and enthusiastically so.  It was something she always wanted to do, and the intense emotions enveloping Althea were nothing like she had felt before.  Watching wide eyed as Mura simply disappeared only to reappear mere moments latter with a box.  Her eyes shone brightly as he opened the box, not wanting to wait one more moment to properly join Fairy Tail.
Rolling up her left sleeve, Althea displayed her shoulder energetically.  “Shoulder please!”  A blue mark was soon painted onto the prefered area, the young girl’s eyes widening in amazement as it began shining.  She felt her magic intermingling with the paint, an indescribable sensation briefly flowing through her entire body.  After it settled, Althea wasted no time poking and prodding the mark to make sure it was going to stay put.  Satisfied with the results, she decided not to roll down her sleeve for a while.  She was a Fairy Tail wizard now, and was willing to let the whole world know about it.  Althea grinned at Mura and Haru before taking off towards the job board.
