-There are people that really live by doing the right thing, but I don't know what that is, I'm really curious about that. I'm really curious about what people think they're doing when they're doing something evil, casually. I think it's really interesting, that we benefit from suffering so much; we excuse ourselves from it.

Greetings, the name's James though; most call me Xenji. I won't lie I'm a little new to the Fairy Tail world, though don't get me wrong; I've forum role-played for numerous years now and get the gist of System's and Guidelines. Please bare with any ignorance I may have when it comes to the knowledge of the Anime itself, I'll pick up the concept quickly I'm sure. Until then, I'm ecstatic to meet the player-base within this community!

On a short note, I rolled "Caine's Descent" in Lineage Roll; let me know if you think I should stick it out or try something else later on! I'm either choosing that or "Ariel's Descent."

Welcome to FTRP, James! I really like that Louis C.K quote you used there, it just happens to be one of my favourites. ;D

Feel free to ask questions in the Chatbox, and I'm sure you'll get helped because we have a pretty friendly community onboard. Besides, it's not too important to be some veteran of the Fairy Tail world to enjoy RPing here. I don't watch the anime, but I've been here for some four years - you'll do just fine!

The key to choosing lineages is to pick the one whose backstory goes best with the character history you have in mind, IMHO, so I'm gonna avoid picking favorites.

Lastly, your avatar is slightly spilling into your post, so you should fix that. The ideal width is somewhere around 180px, you can experiment with the height, and you'll have the perfect avatar in your hands. :]

Welcome! And as Fel said, go with the lineage that matches your characters background, if none match your background, choose one that matches your magic and so on.

Hi there and welcome to the site! Izo and Felicity already mentioned picking the lineage that matches your character the best, which is what I normally do as well. Sometimes none match the character you are going for though and as such I recommend just flipping a coin if you really like both of them. In the end they are just extra little abilities or passives that you don't have to use. Some people even go without choosing one at all. You can also create your own custom lineage later on if you like, but that does require buying an item from the vip shop.
