Feral screams filled the air as Harrigan and several black armored knights stood at the edge of what seems to be a dark and endless pit. From it came the screams and roars of brutal creatures that roamed beneath. This was Reynold's Monster Pit, a deep and large roughly cut hole in the ground that held a variety of some of the most deadly monsters known to Fiore. Creatures that had been gathered be some legendary wizard saint.
In some way it was almost like a garden zoo, but instead of watching the creatures from the other side of the bars you had the chance to look at them up close. That was off course if you survived the entire ordeal.

Next to Harrigan stood an old wood construction, an elevator of some sorts that was only maintainable from the top. It was a crooked sight, especially because of the ropes that seemed to hold the entire thing together somehow. The near sight of it would make most people second guess themselves of even thinking of stepping onto the platform.

'She is going down there?' uttered one of the knights 'With that?!'

'Yes' replied Harrigan 'she has to if she ever dreams of gaining more power'

Several of the knights started to give each other looks, asking themselves of their master had gone crazy by sending a young girl down there. For them it looked like a suicide mission, a certain death wish. And Harrigan couldn't blame them, after all this place wasn't known for it's survivors. And yet he was about to send someone into that dark abyss, only so that she could prove her worth and power to him.

It had been quite a few days since Janna had returned back to Fiore, and yet again there she was, back to Savage Skull as well. Her eyes roamed around the place that was, apparently, some sort of monster pit, with the guildmaster waiting for her near it. She was wondering what she was doing there, and if she had to actually fight something. Surely, she'd have to. Considering how Harrigan was, he wouldn't call her to a place like this just for fun. She'd have to fight something. And, she was guessing, It'd have to be something big.

Led by an impuls, she reached over her shoulder and touched Aetherion, her beloved katana. Without this weapon, she was so lost. It was about as strong as many of her other weapons, yet it was the only weapon she... what was the word again? Cared. It had remained so many time with her, she had won so much fights. This weapon was certainly her biggest ally.

And so, she reached Harrigan, with a blank expression on her face. She bowed slightly and looked at the knights, then at the pit. The weird elevator didn't escape her gaze either. There was something here, that she was wondering what it was. She looked back at Harrigan, her eyes shining curiously. '' Hello, master. You called me.'' She said, her voice respectful, yet cold. Formal, like always.

'Ah miss Ariel, you've arrived.' he replied a bit melodramatic 'it's good that you are here'

before he continued he nodded towards his mean, who scurried off so that they could prepare the wooded construction what was the excuse for an elevator. After they were our of hearing distance Harrigan focussed his attention back onto Janna again. The young beautiful girl who was known for her cold demeanor and for her position in the guild. During the time that she had been there she had easily climbed among the ranks of the guild to earn herself the title of Pillar. A position that showed power and might, a position that demanded respect and loyalty from others.
And now was the time for to climb even higher.

'You've served me well, miss Ariel. But now the time has come for you to prove your worth once more. To become more powerful and once and for all show me your dedication and loyalty. And for that I have a special task for you, something that I wouldn't entrust anyone else...'

Harrigan waited a few moments before he continued, so that he could check her up and see if she followed what he was saying. But as always she stared at him with a cold and somehow bit of an empty look. There was no change in her attitude or her expression at all. She just stood there and listened to what he had say. With a huge sigh he continued his conversation.

'This pit... in this pit roam a variety of creatures, beasts and other monsters. Among them are the creatures that carry to most vile and disturbing infections of all. Namely lycantrophy.. you've probably heard of it. The savage men whose minds have been taken over completely by an wolf like entity.. the werewolves.'

As if it was clockwork an howl was to beard from the deep fissure that expanded behind the Savage Skull guild master. A strong howl, that was to be heard above all the other feral screams.

'Janna... these werewolves are viscous and probably on of the least of your worries down there. But I need one of them alive, or at best one of their heads. Why I need it is none of your concern for now, but know this. If you are successful I grant you more rights in the guild. Meaning you are able to command more troops and amass more wealth... so can you do this for me miss Ariel?'

    OOC:
Allright, your exam will start from here. What I need from you is a story on how you venture into the pit and traverse it's cave system in hunt for a life specimen of a werewolf. Or it's head, what ever suits you the best. However during this you will encounter several other creatures. How strong they are, or what they are is up to you. However I want to see how you deal with them, through combat, clever tactics or a more sneaky approach.
Be realistic, don't one hit K.O some creatures that stands 5 meters tall or something xD and overall give me a good read.

How you do this is up to you, you can put it all in one post or divide it over several. There are no dice needed, not even monster dice. So the encounters are all up to you. The word count is at least 2500 words.

good luck, and I'll see you at the end of the tunnel.

Janna looked at the pit, then at the elevator. Was Harrigan trully willing for her to get down to the pit with this thing? She could easily fly down using Hypnos' armor, but then again, she didn't want to disobey Harrigan on what appeared to be a rank-up exam. More power, ceratainly, it was that. Janna bowed slightly at Harrigan once again and then walked towards the elevator. She certainly did not like this elevator, as it might be a trap, but she doubter seriously that Harrigan was willing to lose one of his pillars... In any case, he would take away her pillar status and make her a regular member, but he wouldn't get rid of her on purpose.... or at least that was what she thought.

The interior of the elevator wasn't much more encouraging than the exterior. The same crooked, old-looking structure that was held by ropes. The same feeling of being at the point of falling. Janna had her nails stuck into the elevator's walls the whole time, as if it would save her if she began falling. It certainly wouldn't, but then again, she did it unconsciously. When the elevator finally hit the ground, she let go the wall with a deep sigh, and began walking out of it. The quietness of the place surprised her a lot, considering how loud it was before, when Janna and Harrigan were at the top of the hill, plain, whatever that was. But now that she was at this monster pit, all by herself, nothing was coming at her. Not a single devil. It's like everything had dissapeared while she was travelling down with the elevator. It's like they had sensed her and had dissapeared somewhere, ready to attack her, using the element of surprise. She reached her hand up, above her shoulder, and took out Aetherion, her body adjusting to the situation: instead of her normal, perfect position, now she was in a position that was clearly the position a predator took when he was about to attack his prey. She could hear footsteps near her, and this was enough to make her body tense and her bright red eyes take a glimpse of any visible point of the cave, making sure there was nothing hidden even in the darkest of corners.

Soon after that, she heard voices. Voices nearing her. Obviously, the creatures were trying to whisper, but instead of whispering, instead of being able of hiding their voices, their voices resonated through the entire cave. Janna found it funny, that creatures could be so stupid. But they certainly weren't a small amount. There were definetly more than one. And this was what worried her. So she placed her katana back in place, and silently recovered her elegant position, making a golden magic circle appear below her feet. It was no ordinary magic seal, it shined despite the darkness, and, instead of drawings, as her previous magic seal, it had a big Omega in the middle. Without a hestiate, Janna's body was engulfed by light, and around her a divine feeling, a divine aura was spread. Soon after that, the Robe of Yuen dissapeared, only to let a beautiful, dress-like metallic red and silver armor appear. The armor that held the name and abilities of Hemera, the light goddess. When Janna opened her eyes, she saw ten red devil-like creatures with big horns and large scimitars and shields launch themselves at her. She growled, as one of them tried to slice through her head with the scimitar and jumped backwards, almost recieving the fatal hit. '' Damn, she thought, those creatures are truly no joke. Without doubting for a second, she summoned all twelve swords she had, and remained in her place, waiting for the creatures to make a move, so she could attack them too.

At the sight of the swords, two held manually, and the others controlled telepathically, the creatures seemed to doubt weather attacking her or not. She was not doubting, though. With a quick spin, she rose her swords, putting them around her, making what seemed to be a circular attack, while controlling her swords telepathically. 4 of the creatures got hit, while the other 6 blocked her attack with their shields. Those that blocked it, immediately launched at her after that, not letting her time to breathe, and tried to steal her swords. With a kick, however, she managed to disperse one of them, while the resting five she managed to throw away with her swords. Meanwhile, the creatures that had gotten hit the first time had already recovered, meaning that they were ready to attack again. Janna managed to block them, using her swords as a shield, and then threw them backwards, stabbing all monsters around, using all ten sword of hers. She exhaled deeply, as the fight had occured so quickly, that she didn't even have time to breathe. She had killed 10 monsters already, this was off to a good start. ''I shouldn't get distracted. My pray here is a werewolf, nothing else. I must kill whatever is on my way, not try to kill everything in this place, because, well, it's most likely for me to find my death like this.'' She said to herself, taking her hand up to her temple, as if to stick this objective with a sticky note on it.

Without losing any more time, she continued venturing deeper in what appeared to be a cave-like system. So this monster pit was a cave? How interesting. Janna was certainly going to have fun doing this. She walked until she saw a pit that seemed to lead further down the cave. She looked at the pitch black pit hestiantly, then sighed and jumped in it, not even knowing what awaited for her at the bottom. She landed with a short thud, noticing that, somehow, she had landed on a piece of wood, and her metal boots had immediately made enough noise to attract a horde of monsters at her. She sweatdropped at her stupidity as to not checking whatever was at the bottom. But, could she? Having on the armor of the goddess of day and light didn't mean unlimited control over light magic. That would be ridiculous, yet awesome. But it was not happening. She wished it could, but it was not. With a sigh, she readied herself to attack whatever was going to come at her any second now, but an attack didn't arrive, no matter how many time she waited for it. Utterly surprised, Janna began moving towards what she could see was dim light. She should have known, that dim lights are problems, but then again, she was seeking problems, since she was seeking a werewolf. And besides, let's not mention the fact that she actually had to lead herself with something through this pitch black hole, so she continued walking, her twelve swords ready to attack.

Whatever it was that held the light, it was in another gallery, that was just around the corner. Janna stood next to the wall, trying to hear whatever the creatures around the corner were talking about. ''Quite indeed, misstress Andariel, there is an intruder in the pit.'' Janna could hear a male voice, apparently not human. It was some sorts of distorsioned voice, like, broken by some sorts of sound waves. She rose all her swords, ready to attack whatever it was, but suddenly, all voices lowered, until the point in which she was unable to hear whatever that Andariel and the distorisioned voice guy were talking about. She slightly showed her head around the corner, to see what was happening, and noticed there was a group of 5 monsters gathered around something. She couldn't quite see the apperance of the lot of them, but it was quite clear that they were no weaklings. One of them, an apparently gigantic woman whose appaearance she had caught a glimpse of. She was tall, terribly tall, possibly 7 feet, with pale body, anti-gravitatory red hair, and, the worst of all, she had scorpion-like large, black claw-like limbs coming out of her back. In a few words, she was hideous. Janna hid quickly behind the corner and took a deep breath. As from what she saw, this scorpion lady was the leader. Andariel, if she was not mistaken. The resting four, her minions. She had to find a way to distract them, separate them, and fight the living hell out of the minions, before actually getting onto Andariel. Because facing these things all together was pure suicide.

And with that, she rose two of her swords, using telepathy, and concentrated. A blinding, bright light originated around her swords, making them glow in a divine, golden glow. '' Light Strike.'' Janna muttered. The two swords she selected earlier rose, the golden glow around them never ceasing, and flew towards Andariel at the speed of 10 meters/sec. Janna heard the yells of the distorsioned voices, a surprised scream, then an enraged one. Peeking from the corner, Janna saw that the minions were fighting the swords she had been controlling blindly, while Andariel held her left hand, growling. She had striked her, and she had been terribly lucky. A smile spread on her face as she made the swords come back towards her, all while she awaited for the minions with her resting 10 swords prepared to stike. The four minions arrived in no time, giving Janna the ability to finally take a glimpse of them. Tall, carbon man-like creatures, that seemed to have lava, rather than blood, and held swords made out of pure, liquid lava. She stepped back. This was not good. If this was, truly liquid lava, they could easily destroy her swords or armor. She was going to have a serious problem with those guys. The worst thing? They saw her. The golden glow showed her enough clear. A mocking laughter escaped one of the minion's mouths. He seemed to be the leader of the group. Janna rose her hands and caught her swords, as she felt more secure with a weapon in her hand. Although she knew this weapon could be easily destroyed.

'' It seems that somebody has sent a little girl on a suicide mission. Isn't this interesting?'' The leader mocked Janna. Her eyes darkened instantly. She despised people or monsters calling her a little girl. She simply did. But compared to those creatures, she was a little girl. Their 7 feet massive muscular body structures definetly beat her 5,2 feet tall slim pale figure. The only response to the mock the leader recieved from Janna was, however, simply a growl. Without wasting any of her precious time, she rose her swords and threw them all towards the leader, deciding he was her first enemy. The other three figures reacted immediately and ran to Janna, attacking her directly, while she attacked their leader. While the ten swords flew at a majestic speed towards the leader, Janna tried her best to block the three other minions, that had cornered her, leaving her without any possible escape. With glowing swords, she sliced through the middle enemy, trying to get a better glimpse at the leader, who was beating off her swords like they were flies. Annoying, little flies. Meanwhile, the other three monsters had already taken out their lava weapons, and were blocking Janna's constant and ferocious attacks with ease, grins on their face. Janna rose her foot and tried to kick them all down, but failed horribly, as, not only they were terribly tall, but also were they terribly strong, and not to mention their wegiht, and the fact that even a muscle magic user would have had problems with moving them. Not to mention the problem that, after attempting to kick them all, her metal boots began glowing and dissapearing, corrosioned by the heat. Her face darkened, as she saw that all three of the enemies had taken bull-like positions, and were preparing to attack her with their demonic horns. Then, at that second, it was the only time when Janna was actually thankful for her size. Thanks to her small stature and agility, she managed to dodge the beasts' horns, making them get stuck in the wall, and escaped appearing behind them. Her face showed unhid fury, while she turned to the leader, with glowing eyes, and began attacking him more and more ferociously with her swords. This time, he began having problems with the light-powered swords, that were, not to mention the amount of them, but also terribly fast, not leaving him time or space to block all of them. But he was trying to keep up. Her mind centered on the telepathically-controlled swords, she remained attacking the leader, getting closer and closer to him each time. Finally, when she arrived to him, she began attacking him with the two swords she had in hand, making it even more difficult for the enemy to keep up with her, making him drop his sword. This was a good sign for Janna. With a determined look in her eyes, she used all ten swords to stab him in the neck, cutting his head off after a lot of fighting. With an exhausted sigh, she looked at the three resting minions, that had mystically freed themselves from the wall, and were coming at her, furious that she had destroyed their leader. The three of them inhaled, obviously using a technique they had decided they'd use only in extreme cases, and it appeared this one was one of those cases. After a few seconds, they released a powerful lava beam at Janna, making her armor dissapear, and burning her bare skin. Without being able to stop herself, Janna let out a painful scream and fell to the ground, some parts of her body badly burnt. But she wasn't going down as easily. No. After a few seconds of remaining laying on the ground, she jumped up and then immediately made a backflip, avoiding the next wave of lava beam sent at her. Breathing heavily, she rose the 6 swords she had left, all telepathically, while exquipping the Robe of Yuen, as she would have much more movement with it, yet much less protection. Without doubting, she took out Aetherion, and with a battle yell, she launched herself at the enemies, controlling the swords with much more power and determination, although it could be clearly seen that she was quite damaged. Her attacks were fast, determined, but the spark from before had dissapeared once her armor was broken. She had figured it out, then, that when she wore her armor she felt secure, ready to attack. That was her biggest weakness. She hid behind metal clothing, pretending to be strong while wearing it.

Without hestiating for a second, she stabbed the three enemies in the eyes, after a long time giving them numerous cuts in their limbs, waist and neck. They screamed in pain and fell to the ground curling up while holding their eyes. Janna looked at them from above, deciding that they didn't deserve to die quickly, but slowly and painfully, feeling the pain every minute, every second, until their very death. She fixed the Robe of Yuen a bit, making the six left swords dissapear, and taking her breath, as she looked at the burns all around her body. With a deep breath, she prepared for her encounter with Andariel, asking herself what was this woman capable of, seeing what her minions were capable of. With fast pace, she crossed the corner and saw the demoness already waiting for her, sitting on a big bunch of dead demons, the demons that Janna had defeated when she entered. She was drinking something that suspiciously reminded Janna of blood, which was quite not good. She sipped the drink calmly and got up from the bunch, letting Janna see that she was too quite taller than her, no less than 7,5'' feet. An annoyed expression spread on Janna's face as the demoness laughed at her size.

'' So you are the mage that has managed to take down 14 of my sub-ordinates? Interesting. I was quite expecting someone ot beat the Kurenai, but the Lava Demons? This was quite a surprise for me. This is why I shall fight you myself, rather than sending more demons to end with your life. I'd rather end it myself, then I'd be able to tell everyone that I'm not as useless as everyone thought, that I defeated an apparently strong yet, hm, small mage.'' Andariel talked. Her voice, similar to the Lava Demons' voice was distorisioned, although one could clearly appreciate the female tone in it, though the demoness lacked of the female beauty. More than beautiful she was utterly engrossing. Something not even Rekka would near.

Janna avoided answering her, as she wasn't in the mood to deal with mad demons that have decided she is an easy pray. Certainly not. Instead of that, she launched herself at Andariel. She was using only Aetherion and the Robe of Yuen, which was not encouraging. So she used the fact that she landed just in Andariel's hand as to stab her, and use the force with which Andariel threw her away as an impuslive force, with which she achieved speed. The same golden magic seal appeared on the wall as she landed against it, on purpose, of course, and covered Aetherion in golden glow, making it dissapear, all while Janna took out one of her strongest weapons. Themis's blade. Janna immediately felt a cut open in her leg, as the Themis blade dealt its usual damage to her, due to the fact she was a criminal whielding the blade of Ultimate Justice. But this didn't stop her, not even for a second. She used the fact she was against the wall in order to take an impulse and launch at the enemy at high speed, the Robe of Yuen permitting her much more free movement. She landed near Andariel's extra limbs on the back, and used the opportunity to rise Themis' Blade and cut it off. A painful scream escaped Andariel's mouth, as she took her hand up and sent Janna against the wall, making her hit her head. An ''Ow'' escaped her mouth as she took her hand to her head. Themis's blade had fallen quite near her, so she quickly reincorporated on her feet and took the blade in her hands, once again, ready to attack Andariel. She had found her weakness, her weak spot. If she hit Andariel enough hard in the extra limbs she had on the back, or cut them off, she could weaken her and then maybe place a fatal attack on her that'd leave her K.O. She wouldn't be able to kill her, certainly, because she was no Demon Slayer, and Andariel was a Demon, although an apparently lower demon, not of such importance as Astaroth or others. But she'd still be able to knock her out. Charging at Andariel once again, she dodged a poisonous breath attack that the demoness was trying to throw at her, and made a big cut on her leg, making Andariel fall on one knee, which was a perfect moment for her to attack. She jumped, high enough to be able to cut the other extra limb out of the three left, and slashed with her sword, causing Andariel to get even more enraged, apart from damaged, decided to throw another posionous breath at Janna, which she dodged once again. It was apparently some sort of spell that Andariel could activate at will, but it was draining her. The extra limbs on her back were not only offensive utils for her, but also some sort of life or magic source. After seeing that she couldn't cast anything else, Andariel moved onto a new technique: manual fight. With the engrossing claws she had instead of hands, she slashed towards Janna, managing to strike her in the waist. The Requipper fell to the ground, already enough damaged, but got up quick enough to be able to cast a spell: Divine Law. It blocked Andariel's next claw attack and made her back away in pain, as the shield dealt damage to thy who are unholy. She quickly got up and walked towards Andariel, breathing hard, charging at her and cutting off her other resting two tentacle/limbs, whatever they were. Andariel let out a final scream of pain, and, after a few seconds, passed out. Janna watched her from above once again, breathing hard, almost incapable of catching her breath. Harrigan must have truly tried to kill her in this place.

What she saw later, though, was what surprised her most. A werewolf, with gray, long fur, yellow glowing eyes and long claws. He was staring into Janna with a satisfied look, with a bunch of 30 of the red demons behind him. Janna was terribly tired, but she was capable of fighting. She would be capable of fighting even if she was at her death ward. Light glowed once again around her, making her change from the already broken Robe of Yuen into Heaven's Wheel, twelve swords appearing in her hands once again. Trying to catch her breath, she made the werewolf a sign to come at her. He was her objective. She had to knock him out, and bring him ot Harrigan. Even though he was suspicious that he had sent her on a suicide mission, she was still going to serve him. Because that's where her loyalty lies. The werewolf looked back at the thirty demons, clearly telling them to attack her. But Janna was already in action. Without waiting for the first wave of monsters to come at her, she rose her swords and slashed through ten of them exactly five times, two of which were blocked, but the rest were succesful and managed to eliminate ten of the creatures. Twenty left. In front of the awed look of the werewolf and the scared look of the demons, she slashed once again among ten of them, all while attacking the werewolf with the two swords she held in her hand. The werewolf fought back valliantly, which surprised her a lot, but then again, werewolves were valliant creatures. She had no idea why she had thought that this would be a coward pup. Meanwhile, she would constantly throw a look towards her other 10 swords, managing to control them and eliminate yet another line of 10 monsters. 10 left. She continued using both telepathy and her hands to fight, all while almost recieving a few fatal blows from the werewolf. Her attacks were quick, coordinated, brave, calculated, but there could be clearly seen the exhaustion in them, as her attacks used to be twice the fatal and precise. When she had finished off the resting ten enemies, leaving her only with the werewolf, she had still yet to deal some damage on the werewolf. He had managed to block out every single attack of hers. When she finally managed to deal damage to him with her ten swords, causing him to back away, she was also left open for attack, recieving a blow from the werewolf right in the waist wound. She fell against the wall, hitting her head again, and Heaven's Wheel dissapeared. She was left with the Robe of Yuen yet again. Her breathing increased, as she was just too tired for her own good, but she got up, and placed a hand on the wall. Her golden magic seal appeared yet again, and she took out from there a ruby bow and a quiver with 15 arrows: Artemis' Arsenal. She could activate the ability of the Hunter's Mark, and make the Werewolf turn into a deer, but she was first willing to deal some damage to him, since she could activate Hunter's Mark only twice. She put an arrow on her bow and pointed at the werewolf. Her focus rose up to the sky, and when she opened her eyes, without even knowing it, she had managed to get the werewolf in the knee. A happy yell escaped her mouth, and so she placed her bow on her back, taking out Aetherion, moving to the werewolf, and cutting his arm. The werewolf tried to slice at her with his claws, but Janna dodged it. She made a quick backflip, and put on another arrow, this time aiming for the wewrewolf's other arm, but it landed on his leg. Oh well. It landed on him, at least. She took out yet another arrow and aimed at him, this time for the chest, a golden glow appearing around the arrow. She released it and hit the werewilf right below the heart. It was enough close. Soon, the werewolf was engulfed in golden glow, and, when the glow dissapeared, in his place stood a beautiful deer. Janna caught the deer and began leading it to what appeared to be a possible exit, an end of the cave. She was running, worsening her wounds, but she didn't care. Finally, she arrived in front of what appeared to be a human figure, still dragging the deer that tried to free itself. '' Stop it. What you're making is worsening my mood, which would mean immediate death for you. You're terribly weak in this form, you know?'' Janna growled at the deer as she finally reached the figure that appeared to be Harrigan. With a slight bow and glowing eyes, she grinned at her guildmaster. '' Task finished, Master Harrigan.'' She said when the werewolf finally recovered his normal werewolf figure, not the deer one, but then again, he couldn't even think of attacking, as Janna had 20 swords up his throat.

For once, she could not keep her cold demeanor, as she was actually proud with herself for what she did. She hoped, that at least she had done what the master wanted.
