Giants of the North! (Deniel and Kyll)

Kyll clasped her hands together. "Hey, respect the dead," Kyll said looking at Deniel. "No need in making sure something's life has been drained when they sit there... Lifeless." Kyll said, bowing to the trees in mid air. She looked out to the giants and smirked. "It's about time." Kyll said. She cracked her knuckles. Then her neck. Kyll loved serving her purpose as the tank in her guild. Especially in front of her guild mates. She could hear the giants roaring, trying to scare all of those around the two. Kyll flew forward at max speed and bashed into a giant. She left a crater in the ground as she punched his face in. Kyll looked at the other two giants with a smile. "You come to harm humans. I regret bringing down your comrade." Kyll said. She stood up from the giant. His face was completely smashed in.

One of the giants slammed his club down on the snow right on top of Kyll. She held her hand up and stopped the club mid swing. "So you would go after me and disgrace your comrade's dead body at the same time." Kyll opened her eyes revealing the deep green glow in them. She swiftly grabbed onto the blunt object by the handle, then gracefully moved her free hand to the giant's wrist. It seemed like she lightly touched his wrist, but one could hear the loud SNAP! she caused when she broke it. She had a hold of the club. She put her free hand on the club and swung at the giant hitting him straight in the chest, breaking a few bones and sending the giant flying back a good 50 or so meters. "Hmm... I'm still holding back." Kyll said. She looked at the last giant.

The snow where the giant stood began to turn yellow from urination caused by fear. Kyll's thinly opened eyes looked towards the giant. She then held the club so that it was over her shoulder. "You wanna fight?"

"Woah..." Deniel had never seen an S rank mage fight, and he was quite surprised at it. It was like watching his master Vergil, but he was actually trying Vergil never put even close to some of his full effort against him. At least against him on the job he did a while ago he felt some of his full fury. Deniel's head followed Kyll move and kick the giants' asses with ease. "That's very interesting..." Deniel turned his head to the one that she wasn't focusing. She hadn't attacked it yet. He grabbed Nidhogg's hilt and drew the black blade. "Don't want her to take all of the credit...now then." Deniel, standing quite the distance from the giant, started to aimlessly slash the air in front of him. Many horizontal and diagonal cuts, along with spinning himself around to increase the momentum of his cuts. After about fifteen of them, Deniel started to stab the air in front of him instead of cutting. All of his stabs were aimed in one particular spot, and this spot was the one that he aimed for the most. The giant might have noticed, if he wasn't paying too much attention to Kyll. However, there was another reason: he felt absolutely nothing.



"You wanna fight?" Deniel smirked and started to sheathe his sword inside of its scabbard slowly just like he did earlier. "Sorry, Kyll...but he won't." Deniel clicked the sword inside of the scabbard completely. Just like last time, every wound he created on the giant was instantly thrown on to him. There were multiple cuts deep inside of his body, but the biggest area of harm was straight in the chest: piercing right through all the way and splitting its heart right in half. Although there were a lot of cuts created, the giant wouldn't have felt a thing. With so many of them at once, its life was cut from the world of the living. The giant's huge corpse fell right backwards and Deniel couldn't help but give off another smirk. "That wraps things up here, Kyll!" He called out to her and put Nidhogg back inside of his belt slot where it belonged. "By the way, is there any kind of snowy or icy region in the world? I can't help but feel as if this frozen wasteland is...familiar. I don't know."

Kyll sighed as she closed her eyes. Her yellow aura expanded about six inches from her. She took in a deep breath as she began to calm her emotions down. The magic she used was powered by the fiery anger of the sun and the pride of the solar system. A few seconds passed by as she concentrated to calm her emotions. The aura then exploded off of her, causing a pressure of wind strong enough to move Deniel's footing. She made a small two foot crater in the ground as she disabled the spell, stopping it early. She then walked up to Deniel and bowed to the dead bodies of giants. "Rest in peace." She said aloud. She then heard Deniel's question about far away places covered in ice. "I haven't been there, but we have books on Iceberg. A country covered in snow." Kyll said with a smile. She then looked out to the distance. "This is your last lower ranked mission." She opened her green eyes. The glow seemed to almost come out of her eyes. They were mesmerizing, as if green stars were in her eyes. "Well... I will meet you later." Kyll sneezed. She rubbed her nose. "I may need a couple days to recover from this."

Kyll smiled as she began to walk away from the unburied graves. "Let these giants rot into the ground. They deserve it for attacking humans." Kyll sneezed again and rubbed her shoulders. I should have came out here with a jacket or something warm. Her feet crunched in the snow. Kyll could feel the cold taking advantage of her body. Her skin seemed like it was losing its color. Kyll still could stand. She knew that she would last the ride back to Eclipse Soul in the Phoenix Mountains. "Sorry I just feel a cold coming on from my stupidity." Kyll giggled to herself and then coughed into her hand. "Yeah, I'm getting a little under the weather because I tend to be a bit sensitive to the cold." She sniffled and shivered. Kyll awaited for a carriage to make its appearance and the two would go back. Kyll could get the little rest and relaxation that she needed.

"Iceberg..." Deniel closed his eyes as he whispered the name. That country, there was something familiar about it, but why? He was born in Bellum, and traveled to Fiore. He had never been to that country before, and yet he could still vividly see it. He could see a frozen wasteland, he could see a fluid right in front of him, and he could hear voices. They were faint, but he could tell one was a male and the other was a female. He could hear the female's voice more than the male, but couldn't make out her words. Except for one. "Diabolos." He heard the woman's voice in his very, very faint memory say. It was a soft voice, and a very sweet one at that. In fact, it had to have been the sweetest voice Deniel had ever heard in his entire life. And somehow, he recognized it. That's when he opened his eyes and went back to what was reality. "Iceberg..." he said yet again and thought about his memory. "What connection does that place have to me?" He saw and realized Kyll was on her way back to the ride home, so that meant everything was done.

He ran after her, but stopped at the corpses of one of the giants. Deniel didn't know why, but an instinct came over him. He raised his hand to his head and then lowered it to his waist while bowing his head and closing his eyes, and then moving his hand from shoulder to shoulder. He created a cross shape in the air on his body, and then kissed his hand. "Rest in peace. And may good fortune await you even in death." Deniel opened his eyes and realized he had done this before. It was always unintentional "What...am I doing? No matter." He ran after Kyll and caught up with her again. It was only going to be a few hours or so until the two were going to be back at Phoenix Mountains. "Mission complete." He concluded to himself.
