Deniel's eyes widened in response to Nidhogg. It was the perfect idea. He was already using his Crown of the Black Devil, and Shout of the Devil was perhaps his strongest spell that he had. He didn't see any risks involved in it, so he went for it. He jabbed Nidhogg and pretended to extend it. In response, the mage foolishly used his wall to block it. What Deniel knew is that the mage couldn't see what was going on beyond the wall, so the element of surprise was key. He lowered Niddhog and ran straight for the wall, taking a deep breath. "SHOUT OF THE DEVIL!" Those were the only words that the Earth mage heard behind his defensive wall before it came crumbling right in front of him, and he was met with a barrage of the most unfamiliar thing he had ever seen before. It was Deniel's Unholy Energy, and it couldn't have hurt him anymore.

The barrage of Unholy Energy hit him like a train, causing pain and agony to be felt everywhere that it was touching, which was most of his upper body. His partners weren't going to sit idly about this, but Deniel was too fast for them to react. He canceled his spell and jumped straight through the hole inside of the wall. Using Armageddon, he slashed the mage once, twice, and then gave him one big stab in the chest. Armageddon cut through his flesh and nearly reached his bones in the first two cuts, and the last one was the one that ended his life. Armageddon split his heart right in half, ending his life in just one moment. He dug the blade out of the corpse and turned his head to the other two mages. One down, two to go. The next target was going to be the other mage that had the whole lot of tricks up his sleeve. He wasn't going to be able to pull of the same strategy as he killed this one with, but without his partner to pull off combinations with, it was going to be a lot easier.

Deniel found himself being challenged by the one that made weapons using his Earth Magic instead of the one whose partner just died. It was a surprise, but Deniel didn't have much time to think about it. The two met in a sword duel, with each of them parrying each others' attacks and no one taking a hit. This was mainly because Deniel was hardly trying. He had broken the weapons before, and could do it again. All he was trying to do now was get just a tad bit of fun out of it, but he didn't really see any. His attacks were powerful, but they were easy to predict and very slow. In fact, Deniel wasn't even trying to land any hits, but he could still see tons of openings. He parried every attack with ease, blocking that cut, knocking away that jab, shoving away that hammer...it was quite boring to him. What he was more concerned about was the other mage...why wasn't he doing anything. Deniel gave a quick glance over at his position.

The mage was sitting on the ground in a meditating position. He had both of his hands at the same level and apart, and he looked like he was charging something. Deniel suddenly got the suspicion that the one in front of him was just a distraction for the one that was charging....whatever he was doing. This means I gotta' get this guy out of the way first, huh? Well, I'll be glad! And it'll be easy!" Deniel decided to just end this sword fight once and for all. The next attack he sent his way, instead of parrying it, Deniel cut straight through and shattered his weapons with Armageddon's force. Then, he gave a devastating cut across his whole body before running to the other mage. He didn't know if the one he just cut was dead or not, but he didn't care. The mage that was channeling the spell didn't notice Deniel's approach, so was completely caught off-guard when he felt a blade cut straight through his flesh several times before entering his chest.

"Rest in peace." Deniel bluntly told him as his lifeless body hit the ground with a "Thud!" Deniel turned around to see that the last mage was trying to get up on his feet again. Deniel's last blow didn't kill him. However, that didn't matter. He, just like everyone else, was just one stab in the chest away from dying. Deniel gave a glance to his left to see that a horn that was normally there wasn't. This must have meant his Crown of the Black Devil was no longer in use. It didn't matter to him that much. Not like I needed it anymore, anyway. Deniel started to make his way over to the mage that was trying to get on his feet. That's when a question started to hit Deniel: Why in the world were these guys not making a single sound? Save for the ones at the entrance and in the house, these guys weren't making any noises at all. Either if it was casting a spell or even getting cut up by Deniel, they were wordless.

With his suspicion growing about this, Deniel made his way over to the wounded mage faster. He grabbed the mage by his neck and slammed him against the wall of the building. Still, not a sound or trace of words. Deniel grabbed him a second him, but this time, he pulled his hood over his head. What Deniel saw was a very blank face. There was no color in the eyes, no emotion, and very pale skin. "What the Hell is this!?" He threw the mage against the wall once again. He simply got back on his feet and looked like he was about to get ready to do another spell. Deniel, not having much of a choice, stabbed Armageddon straight inside of his chest to kill him off before he could try anything funny. The blade cut his heart right in half and ended his life completely. Deniel pulled the blade out of the corpse, letting it fall down to the ground. "Now then...time to take a closer look."

Deniel stabbed Armageddon in the ground beside him and dropped to his knees right next to the corpse. The man landed face-down, so Deniel had to roll him over so he could check out his face once again. The hole in his chest was bleeding immensely, but that wasn't Deniel's concerns. What he was mainly interested in was how faceless the face truly was. It had no hair, not even for the eyebrows. The eyes had no color to them at all. And finally...there weren't that many complexions, either. Deniel was taking further interest into all of this, considering the fact that the ones inside had hair and eye color. Deniel stood up and then tried checking the corpses of the other mages. He flipped them over and cast their hoods off of their faces. Sure enough, they looked exactly the same. It was like looking at triplets. Despite not having anything to distinguish themselves, the structure of the face were exact replicas. They were completely hairless and eyeless.

"That's very interesting..." Deniel gave a frown as his eyes scanned the place about him. All of the Earth their magic molded was in the exact place it was before, it looked like nothing happened here. Nothing...except the killings of three people. "What do you make of it, Nidhogg?" Deniel asked his blade as he walked over to it and took it out of the ground that he stabbed it in. Nidhogg was no longer Armageddon when he picked it up again, it went back to being it's neutral state. A simple black katana, with a scabbard that hung at Deniel's belt hole. "It's very interesting, Deniel. Maybe they're under control...or what if they're already dead?" The first one seemed to be the most likely, but the second one is what intrigued Deniel the most. He walked back inside of the house and picked up the sack that contained the items he needed for this mission. "Perhaps...Perhaps..." He sheathed Nidhogg back inside of its scabbard and slung the sack over his shoulder so he had at least one free hand. The gold was somewhat heavy, but it was nothing Deniel couldn't handle. "Alright, let's return these to Miss Zoe."

Deniel made his way from the scene of about seven dead bodies back into the streets of Clover Town. People looked at him in a bit of suspicion, since not everyone walked around with a giant burlap bag slung around their shoulders. Still, in his opinion, it was much better than people staring at him because of how he looked. He did have several people actually approach him about it, but all Deniel told them was it was for Miss Zoe. Her tea set getting stolen must have been really famous around the place because people always dismissed him with a "Thank you" and a sign of respect. "Huhhh...you know, Nidhogg, it feels kind of nice to be the good guy for once." Deniel was also trying to recall where exactly Miss Zoe's house was. He stopped in his tracks and closed his eyes, trying to remember and visualize where exactly it was. The only thing that kept coming to his mind was the lifeless faces of the ones that he just killed. For some reason, for some odd reason...he couldn't let those go.

Deniel frowned and shook his head while his eyes were closed to try and visualize something else. All he could think about was the death of others, which in turn...came to the joy of himself. His frown grew much more harsh, and he shook his head several more times. Come on, Deniel! Focus! Where could her house be!? While his mind was focusing on death...the death of the thief from earlier came to his mind. The one that tried to stab him in the back. From there, his thoughts trailed on to the alleyway. That was his best bet, the alleyway! If he could find that place, then he could find Miss Zoe's house. In just a few short moments, Deniel went from walking to running across Clover Town, trying to find that exact alleyway that he was in before. This was both easy and hard: it was easy because there weren't a lot of alleys in the place, so he could find the right one. It was hard because he didn't know where to look: little alleyways meant not that many likely spots.

"Nope....nope...nope...nope!" Deniel searched several alleys by now, and he still couldn't find the exact one. He shifted his shoulders a bit, as they were becoming just a tad bit tired from carrying gold around so much. He grunted and went on to see if he could find another alley. "This is getting annoying." He handed the bag to his other hand so he could give his right shoulder a rest and have his left shoulder carry the burden. Not only was he getting annoyed, but he was also getting desperate. He just wanted to get this mission over with so he could move on, get some more, and get further to the power that he desired. Eventually, Deniel was finally able to find the one that he was searching for. He could recognize the area in its entrance, as well as the alley inside of it. He saw familiar things: the different trash cans, trash bags, and the corpse of the thief that he had hit earlier.

Around the corpse was what looked like two men, and from what they were doing...they were searching his body and pockets for anything valuable. Even though Deniel was the one that killed him, it made him sick to see them trying to take advantage of the dead. Deniel walked to into the alley and drew Nidhogg with his free hand. The thieves were too busy pick-pocketing the corpse to notice him. He approached the one that was closest to him and held Nidhogg's tip right into the back of his neck. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Both of the thieves took their hands out of the corpse's pockets and stood up with their hands in the air. One of them was looking at Deniel, the other one didn't move a muscle. "Just tryin' to live our lives." Deniel wasn't too happy about his answer, "Live your life by taking advantage of the dead? That's insulting." Deniel lowered Nidhogg's hilt to the thief's back so Nidhogg was pressing into a spot that would stab his chest should it go through. "I don't want to kill anyone, so I'll make both of you a deal: Get the Hell out of here and I won't kill you."

It was a no-brainer, even for the thieves. Deniel had them at a disadvantage in weaponry, and he also already had one of them on the verge of death. It would just take one strike. "Deal. We be takin' our leave. Lower your weapon." Deniel pressed the weapon inside of him almost the point of stabbing him, "I'm not lowering anything! Just run away!" The thief gritted his teeth, but still acknowledged and followed through Deniel's command. Both of them ran the opposite direction out of the alleyway, and Deniel had Nidhogg ready just in case. Once they were gone, then he finally lowered them. "Whew..."

After taking care of the thieves, Deniel was hoping that would be the last obstacle in this whole job. He sheathed Nidhogg inside of its scabbard and proceeded down the alleyway to the back of Miss Zoe's house. It wasn't his plan to enter from the back, he just only remembered the alley as part of it, so he was just going to circle around and find the front. When Deniel found the door to her house, he discovered that he didn't need to go out to the front. Miss Zoe was there at the door, waiting for him to return. When she saw him, her face lit up with joy and happiness. "Oh! Deniel! It's good to see your back! Did you get the tea set?" Deniel couldn't help but offer her a smile back as he approached her and the door. "Let's find out."

The two walked inside of her house once more, at sat down at the same table Deniel first took this job on. Deniel took the burlap bag off of his shoulder and put it down on the table, happy to be rid of the burden. He opened it up, and one at a time, started to take out the tea set. First with the four cups with their tiny plates, and then the tea pot. Miss Zoe couldn't have been more overjoyed with seeing her tea set finally back where it belonged: in her hands. "Oh my! When I saw this missing, I never thought I'd get it back! Now I can put it back where it belongs in my shop. Thank you so much, Deniel." Deniel shrugged and scratched the back of his head, "It was no biggie...I mean...I do what I can." Miss Zoe gave him a smile and reached inside of her purse, pulling out his reward and handing it to him. "It's all I can offer you now. I know this tea set is worth more, but please, take it."

Deniel took his reward without hesitation, shoving the jewels in his pocket. He stood up and took a small bow to her. "It was my pleasure, Miss Zoe. Take care of yourself." He turned away and headed to the door, giving her a small wave over his shoulder. "Good-bye! And thank you again, Deniel!" Deniel smiled to himself as he walked outside of her house. He gave a huge yawn and held his hands up to the sky in triumph. "Mission complete!"
