Annual Monster Fighting Tournament(Invite Only)

It was an important day in the neutral grounds. A giant stadium that was normally used for sports had been emptied. Over several weeks large crates had been brought in and placed beneath the ground of the stadium. What was in these crates no-one exept the stadium owners knew. However, what everyone knew was that the crates contained large beasts for today began one of the Neutral Grounds biggest tourist events: The Annual Monster Fighting Tournament. People from all over the world would come to the stadium to test their might against the beasts the stadium owners had provided. It was one hell of an event. Teams were random so it was never known who you would fight with and if they would be any good, but it was always a thrill and that was why Zack was here.

He was a thrill seeker and was often called the Thrill Seeker. It was going to be an interesting tournament because he, like everyone else who came to the neutral grounds, could not use magic. It was a test of strength and skill. All he had to aid him were his favoured weapons. A pair of swords known as the Bravery of Boreas and the Nobility of Notus. There was the ring of a bell and that was the signal to start. He headed towards the gate his swords strapped to his back. Today he was wearing his usual black jacket with the silver and white embroidery with matching pants. It was his usual style and one he was famed for seeing. He wondered what he would be facing and who he'd be partnered with. It was going to be interesting either way.

As he stepped into the sunlight cheers sprung up. Some even calling his name. It seemed even in the neutral grounds he had some fame.He raised a fist skyward brushing the side of his red hair and grinned.  Oh this was going to be so much fun. It was truly going to be a fun day.

" Before we introduce them and unleash the first of our beasts let us activate the energy shield. We don't want anyone getting hurt now do we?" the announcer said and there was laughter throughout the audience as a barrier of pure energy surrounded the stadium basically trapping Zack, his teammaters and their opponents inside. "Now let's introduce our first team of challengers. First up we have Zack Rose."  Zack thrust his hand up into the sky again to the cheers.

With a slight groan a cloaked figure began to stir from his sleep while on the back of his large Dire wolf companion As The wolf grumbled and practically threw him off his back. As soon as the figure felt himself get launched of lunos's back he  woke up and preformed an epic back flip landing in a crouching stance as his cloak floated gently onto the ground behind him. The figure turned out to be a surprisingly young male with short slightly spikey black hair and piercing crimson eyes.

"Mm Lunos why are we here agai... Ow " The male's sentence is cut short as lunos bit his arm enough to turn him around to see the others. With a gentle smile the young male waved with his non bitten arm. "Good morning everyone how did everyone sleep ? "  He asked kindly as lunos let go of his arm. " Lets move one to the next member of the team  the holy man from the dark abyss  DAEMON "  As the announcer said the man name nearly every women in the stands squealed and  men shouted for him to go die.

Lance stood in the arena with a big smile of his face and his golden eyes gleaming in the sunlight. He looked at the crowd of people cheering and made the smile even more charming than it already was. He was wearing his usual black coat and shirt with ripped up jeans. "Next up we have Lance Knighthunter!" When Lance heard his name he held up his right hand which was made into a fist and bunch of screams that were obviously fan girls could be heard through the crowd Lance was impressed at how many there were. He took off his shirt and got ready for the first monster after the announcer announced the rest of the team.

"Zack, Kayra, Lance and Daemon. They are the four man team that has been randomnly chosen to be the first to face the six fearsome beasts we have in store today. How many will they defeat?" the announced shouted. "But before we find that out we need to find out what our first monster is." There was a drum roll and a large part of the floor in front of the four mages slid open and a platform began to raise up. A large column of smoke was created as it did so obscuring the mighty beast within though its roars were truly fearsome. As the smoke cleared a large tiger with a fish-like tail was revealed. It was massive, at least 12ft tall and about twice that in length. However, its size wasn't what caught the eyes of everyone there. What caught their attention was that it appeared to be entirely made of water. "And our first challenge for our contestants is all the way from the far east, a beast composed entirely of water and with complete control over it able to solidify and manipulate it at will like the famous water make mages of Fiore. How will our contenders deal with this?"

Zack had to admit he was quite impressed by the opponent. It was entirely made of liquid and had a large size. It was probably faster than it looked too. He was also impressed by the announcers speech. It was quite good. His team mates were all mages by the looks of them though none he recognized. They were probably just starting out aiming to get a bit of fame here. Though the crowd seemed to go wild for them all.

"I'm not normally a team player, but without magic we don't have a lot of choice." he said with a grin drawing the two blades. "I don't know what any of you are capable of so just try your best fighting seperately for now. We need to know eachother's strengths." With that he dashed forward keeping his body close to the ground. He was a slayer and even without his magic he still had the near superhuman physicality of a slayer. He leapt at the beast and swept both his blades sideways aiming to cut it in the eyes and blind it. However, the body merely rippled as he struck and then a surge of water hit him sending him flying backwards and downwards into the ground. He quickly leapt to his feet and assumed a fighting stance. "So a direct attack won't work...it has to have a weakness though." He said to himself as he shook his hair spraying some water all over the place. It had caused some minor grazes, but the power of his bloodline healed them almost instantly so it looked like he hadn't been hurt at all.

"And it seems Zack's sword attacks are not even causing the watiger to flinch." the announcer said causing the audience to cheer. "Yet the powerful blast of water that would of destroyed lesser fighters barely seems to have affected him at all. What will he do next? What will the others do?"


(Let the games begin and remember we have no magic. Purely our physical skills. Let's show the members of the sight what we are made of.

'Normal Dice' :

As The watiger fended off Zack's attacks Daemon quickly reveled a blade he had barrowed from the stadium locker room   and quickly rushed in to help Zack  tearing up the battlefield  with lunos charging behind him. As the duo reached the beast they both jumped high into the air as a dark aura surrounded them both. "Take this you vile beast "  He said as he held the sword over his head and began to spin forward targeting the beasts eye, while lunos spun sideways preparing to claw at the beasts nose . with the beast distracted by hitting Zack against the wall Daemon  straightened out from his spin and stabs his blade into the beasts right eye then sliced in a diagonal arc  splitting the right eye into three pieces, unfortunately the amount of pressure placed on the blade caused the poorer grade sword to shatter leaving the pieces in the in the beasts eyes. " I don't believe it folks the blade shattered in his hand what does this guy eat in the morning ? " As the announcer finished his sentence Lunos  sprang into action using his claws and fangs to dig into the watiger's nose  biting and clawing its sensitive flesh  before getting slammed into the arena wall by the beasts paw . "I guess in this fight the cat beats the dog "

Lance laughed a little when remembering that he had forgotten to bring a weapon. He sighed as he saw Kayra hit the tiger in the tooth and crack it and he lunged forward and jumped into the air getting caught by Draco who went and flew and fast speeds over to the tigers stomach and punched it. The tiger seemed to get a little hurt from the punch but it still had the strength to swipe Lance away making him hit one of the walls in the arena "God damn it..." Lance said getting up and wincing.

Zack who had been launched back watched the others attack with interest. It seemed at the moment of attacking that parts of its body became temporarily solid thus when it had struck at him its face had become solid enveough for Daemon to strike and succeed where he had failed. The strike of the teeth surprised him though. It hadn't used them so why were they solid enough to break? He charged in thinking this through. He wasn't that forward a thinker, but it seemed that whilst the tiger appeared to be entirely made of water and had enough control to changed its size certain parts of it constantly remained solid. These parts, like the teeth, if destroyed or damaged didn't heal. The parts weren't exactly the most obvious though, but the teeth were one of them. How had Kayra differentiated them? He focused his eyes and saw it. A slight differentiation. That had to be it.

"Let's see how fast you are kitty cat." he said and charged in. This time rather than leaping into the air and striking he launched a flurry of rapid strikes. His strikes were so fast that they were almost invisible to the naked eye. "Gotta go faster, faster....FASTER!" he roared. With each statement of the word faster his strikes seemed to increase in speed. The beast was trying to reform its body to dodge or strike back, but his speed was too intense and he managed to carve off a few of its claws and took out another tooth.

"Wow this guy is fast folks. I can barely see his swords. But is it enough?" The watiger let out a roar and launched a jet of water. However, the tooth Zack had sliced was purposely removed and sent flying in the stream. "Oooooh that's gotta hurt." The announcer shouted as the tooth shard hit Zack in the shoulder and the blast sent him flying into one of the energy walls. He dropped down onto one knee and spat out a small amount of blood. He threw a sword into the air and tore out the tooth fragment and caught the sword again. That promoted a cheer from the audience.

"Is that all you've got cat?" he said loud enough for the audience to hear causing them to cheer even louder. The burns from hitting the energy wall healed quite quickly, but the shoulder wound didn't. It seemed it would take a little while even with his immortal blood. He wished he had his healing ability, but no matter. He took a step forward and stumbled a little. The energy barrier had messed with his nervous system slightly. That would take a little while to heal too.

"Wow this is amazing folks. Our energy barriers are enough to take down strong monsters, but it barely even effected this warrior." the announcer shouted. "And he took out that shard without even flinching. What a warrior. I've never seen anything like this team." Zack grinned. They hadn't seen nothing yet. Wait till he was fighting a monster he could actually hit normally. Then they'd see what he was capable of.

Daemon ran over to lunos jumping over the watiger's paw and kneeled beside him noticing several small burns on his back, As the crowd began to cheer for Zack Daemon turned his head to see the same burn patterns on Zack' back then listened to how he was able to survive against a barrier that could take down something the size of the watiger.

The gears in Daemon head started turning at Mach 4 As he quickly stood up and walked in front of the semi blind beast as it slowly got up trembling every few seconds. "OY! YOUR OVER GROWN PUDDLE OVER HERE!!" He shouted at the wounded beast hoping to spark a rise out of it making it charge at him. The watiger growled as huge droplets of blood stained the battlefield from its eye and mouth. The beast began to charge at the young mage hoping to end his life with a single charge .

Daemon smiled as he ran to the side as the watiger skidded slightly and continued to increase it's speed with each turn it's skidding moved closer and closer to the burning wall's on the fifth charge the beast's watery flesh touched the wall causing his body to turn into steam. Daemon noticed the slight evaporation of the beast as he grabbed a small stone and through it with all his might at the injured beast's eye causing it to roar in uncontrollable anger. As the beast began to charge once more Daemon continued to lead the beast in the blazing walls hoping that his team mates would join in so they can evaporate this feline.

It seemed Lance was saving his strength as when Daemon and Kayra began to take down the watiger using the field's barrier to their advantage he did nothing. Zack grinned as he heard the announcer call out.

"Well folks this is something we haven't seen before. The combatant's are using the very arena against the beast. A truly clever idea." he shouted excitedly. The crowd were going wild. It was definite that Daemon and Kayra would of picked up a few fans from this display. Zack too, but that was inevitable due to his high level of skill. These other two though had truly shown ingenuity and intelligence. They would long be remembered here. "And here come's Zack walking towards the beast a sword at each side. What is he planning to do now?" As Zack drew closer to the might beast he held his swords ready. He was not walking quickly at all. However, once he got in range a smirk came to his face.

"Death by thrusting." Zack whispered and then lunged in and began stabbing at the beast going faster and faster with each slice. Fortunately, his cross guards were insulated or this would cause him damage from the electricity of the field. What Daemon had done was send an electric current through the beast via the barrier which seemed to have altered its structure making it a lot more solid. It was now like trying to puncture jelly rather than water. With each strike it roared out in agony, but eventually Zack's blade managed to strike at its brain killing it instantly.

"AND THE FIRST BEAST IS DOWN FOLKS!" the announcer shouted. "The four combatants used skill to bring it down. The watiger is dead. And its meat is solidifying and now fit for consumption." Indeed the body of the watiger now became solid. "Our contestants will now take a twenty minute break whilst the arena is cleared. Stay tuned folks because there are five more monsters to come."

"Good going guys." Zack said as he thrust his swords into his belt. "Excellent idea to use the arena Daemon. Now let's go rest up and then we can kick even more butt." That seemed to be it, but as he exited the arena floor he shouted out to the men now coming in to take away the watiger corpse.

"Hey, I expect some of that meat for me and the team. Its quite a rare delicacy. I recommend using it for a curry"

Daemon slowly walked over to Lunos who was standing near the entrance off the locker room area getting check on by a medic, as the medic moved away Daemon was instantly tackled by the massive dire wolf who proceeded to lick his face covering it with thick slobber. "I figured that if the walls were able to damage your armor against a weakling like that watiger hed evaporate like a puddle in the desert. " Daemon said calmly after pushing Lunos off of him and getting back to his feet. Daemon walked over to Zack with lunos in toe  and offered him a handshake. I can't wait to try that watiger meat it's one of the reasons I actually joined this arena in the first place." The other reason Daemon knew he had to keep secret  but as he thought about it he looked up at the announcers booth as one of them was wearing his obsidian necklace .

Lance got back up after being knocked out by the tiger only to see that it was already beat. He nodded and put his thumb up to the group as he weakly limped over to the resting area between fights. When he was in the resting area he lied down on the ground and closed his eyes "I am to weak......" Lance said in a mix between a sad and mad voice "I don't think I can really support the group..." Lance said as he got back up and put his head up against the wall with his eyes still closed.
