    It seems like this is all that the family did, much to Kyra's chagrin. The family had more than enough funds to afford hosting these big events every single major event, and the summer festivities were no different. This time, however, a weird request had come in.

    A request given in person.

    It certainly was an odd thing when one of the maids that worked around the castle that held Errings Rising said Kyra had a visitor, and it was even more surprising when that visitor ended up being the eldest sibling of hers, Rio, stood in the doorway. Perhaps even more shocking than that, though, was the icy-white wyvern slung over his shoulder.

    "I knew my baby sis would be around! That queen of yours somewhere? Figured I'd drop off a little present for my arrival. Paying tribute to the royalty and whatnot." He gently set down the beast, the creature around fifteen feet in length. "Anyways, Val, Pops is running yet another festival thing - tourism money or some crap like that - so we thought you should come and join us. Don't feel obligated to or anything. Just thought it would be nice of you to pop on by. Plus, we still have your birthday presents to hand out to you! Tegan was gonna deliver them back on your birthday, but then we had a bit kerfuffle with a demon wandering around Dongxia, whole big mess. Anyways, you wanna come with?"

    Kyra was baffled by her older brother's arrival, watching the other maids and butlers shuffle away the wyvern's corpse as she stepped further down the grand staircase. "U-um... w-well, i-if that's what you want, I guess I could-"

    Rio raised a hand. "Mind telling me who you are?" he asked, seemingly into the air, until Kyra noticed Addre.

    "O-oh! That's Addre! He's a guild member here as well!"

    Rio's face lightened up, the concern shifting. "Ah, lovely! He can come with, too! Something about him tells me he wants to come along as well!"

    And, so, that was how Kyra and Addre had gotten dragged back along to Reinford, with Rio's energy magic launching them easily back through the skies, arriving safely at town around an hour after they had left. Rio had rushed off to do more work, telling Kyra she can look around everything as much as she wanted. A few awkward minutes passed before Kyra sighed. "S-sorry about this, Addre..."

    A stranger was approaching Kyra. Male. Acted very nonchalant in her presence… danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Dang-

    Addre’s life within the cozy, wide and regal walls of Errings Rising were, to say the least, enigmatic. It was clear to see that he hadn’t truly gotten as used to walking around with maids in row as he’d wanted to, or that he’d gotten used to not being asked for help in every minor occasion like he used to be back in the days of… reminiscent boredom. Errings Rising had granted him secluse from such things that caused him pain and low self-worth… but the singular greatest gift from this guild that prided itself above all others was the introduction to Kyra Velkhomme.

    He wanted to spend more time with her, but her shyness was a double-edged sword – it increased her attractive traits hundredfold, but at times, her shyness would actively try to expand the distance between the two. Even from behind the corner of the wall, glancing at her made him feel so close and yet so far… that was, until the blonde man addressed him.

    Addre didn’t say a word… but Kyra did. Hearing her utter his name was ticklish. It reddened his face and caused his blood to boil, and courage rose up in him once more. Especially when the blonde revealed to be her brother – oh, good riddance.

    Perking up like a bird, Addre approached them in his usual garments before getting taken to another city, far far away…

    …

    And due to work that the brother had to do, Addre was left in such an ideal situation – looking around the festivities with Kyra… like a date! He was on a date! Oh dear! It was as if clouds of steam pushed out of his ears, accompanied by his pupils shaping up as hearts when he entertained the idea… but he had to calm down! Calm down, Addre! Don’t scare her or anything!

    Upon hearing her apologize to him- how dare she apologize to him for granting him this privilege?! Nah, he wouldn’t have any of that – instead, he simply took her hand and held on tight to it. His curiosity got the better of him, and he began examining her delicate, petite hand – it looked fragile like porcelain, pale as snow, but with such a serene texture. This was the hand of his love, and his reddened smiling face expressed so as clearly as he could.

    Without further ado, he pulled up a piece of paper that he’d pre-written prior to ever going out on a date with Kyra. As today brought him the opportunity, he showed the paper to her, and its contents:

    Let’s play some games and have fun! I like you a lot!

    Kyra gave a little nod when she read the paper. "R-right. Games. I-I'm not entirely sure what there all is for games. I swear, m-my family always shuffles around what sorts of festival activities they have, and there's a lot of parties and festivals that we hold here." She gave a smile, trying to be happy and calm. "A-anyways, I'm sure one of my other siblings is somewhere here and we can ask them what we all have at the games."

    After a bit of an awkward pause, she started walking forwards, making her way through the wide streets of her hometown. Why am I taking the lead? she thought to herself. I'm not good at this, I'm not good at leading, I'm not good with people, I'm not good at being a good person... She closed her eyes, contemplating thoughts for a moment. And Rio said that Addre likes me, or at least that was the 'vibes he was getting', whatever that means. She turned over her shoulder, taking a look at the mute. But... it's not like I'm someone that people would actually like. He's probably just likes me for the fact that I'm rich. Well, that my family is. That's the only reason anyone would.

    As she mulled over in her thoughts, she was too focused on looking at the ground to see where she was going, only to bump into someone, getting their drink spilled all around her feet. "S-sorry! I-I should've been watching where I was going and n-now you're down a drink and I'm sure that-"

    The large, six-and-a-half-foot by the looks of it man stared down at Kyra for a moment, making her feel even smaller.

    A FOOLISH MEAL

    Before Kyra could even prep to hold back the horrible beast, the man gave a laugh before his surprisingly high-pitched voice spoke. "It's no worries, lady! The drink's free, courtesy of the Fizzy Martini! They've been super generous with the free drinks and food lately! Here!" he rifled through his pocket, handing her a bag of chips. "One of my friends put this in my pocket, but I'm not particularly interested in it. I've got a potato allergy. Anyways, have a lovely day, ma'am!"

    With that, he doubled back on himself, walking out towards the Fizzy Martini. Kyra was unsurprised that they would offer free drinks. The Martini was always generous. But now Kyra was left holding a bag of chips. A pang somewhat rumbled in her stomach, a symptom of forgetting lunch. So, she offered it to Addre. "Um, I'm not hungry. Do you want these?"
