♢ Fiddling at the ultraviolet array of nearly twenty large screens that spanned in front of her body, the girl of cryptocurrency would sigh as she would seem to stare at the screen in the center, which would appear to consist of stars shooting across a bright blue sky in the colors of azure, violet, and golden- consistently wishing to unlock a new five-star character on a gacha game she had downloaded months prior to this sunny day, it was proving to be quite the challenge to hit pity. It made her eyes droop behind the ultraviolet crimson mask that concealed her face, all she wanted was the new dendro character that shot floral lasers out of her eyes! But her luck was proving to be inefficient; swinging her legs over the side of a stone bridge that sat near the edge of the Fishy Fish Sea as she would wish over and over again hoping for that bright gold shine, various statistics would ping and fluctuate on the other smaller projections of her redcube that she would be able to sight while absorbed in her virtual gaming endeavors. Mainly charts and data relating to the stock market and the rise and fall of the value of various forms of cryptocurrency, it was not uncommon to witness the concealed sixteen-year-old monitor her success in her investments- it was the best way she could secure the success of both her personal gains and the livelihood of those that she cared about the most, which would remain tucked away in the shadows of one of Fiore’s largest cities.

“I wonder when they will be here, it’s too beautiful of a day not to spend it at the beach,” the ginger-haired girl would speak to the hex bug that would sit upon the top of her head, it’s small legs holding onto the roots of her hair as it would look at the screens that floated in front of the two, “I know how much you hate the water, Bugby, but don’t you worry! I heard there are plenty of events at this party that doesn’t involve swimming, it’ll all be okay.” Patting the surface of the bug’s back, which would appear to resemble a large roly-poly of black color, its eyes would blink rapidly as a bit of a chaotic purr-like sound would produce from the speaker that resided where a normal creature’s mouth would be. It really didn’t like the ocean as most robots- it was if anything its biggest fear, especially due to its inability to swim. Though it felt as though it was slowly getting over the sensation of terror it would feel when sighting the endless expanse of the world’s rough waters, Bugby was still not used to the dangers that would come with taking on the life of a pirate. This was the opposite for the hexbug’s commandress, however- tapping away at her screens, a certain level of financial success came from the decision she made to join a guild, which she was able to witness upon one of the many charts that would pulsate her signature red ultraviolet.

This is what led the cryptocurrent girl to make her way to one of the islands that surrounded the sea of the fishiest of fishies- she was planning to meet one if not both of her Admirals at this destination to spend the day at a beach party, something that sounded quite soothing to the Vesta. It was about time that she deserved a small break to enjoy herself, taking to the coastline to give herself a small reward for the many nights she stayed awake taking on jobs developed in darkness to put her gains at an edge against her rivals. Though the beach party had already seemingly begun, as there were loads of mages and non-mages alike dotting the beach, she had found herself sticking to the edge of the crowded beach while she awaited the arrival of her new acquaintances. Delicately swinging her feet as she would continue to whale for the new character, her eyes would light up as the manifestation of gold would appear on the screen. “Oh my god!” she would burst up from her previous stance to stand and stare at the screen in anticipation, only for it to show the character she had previously rolled once more, “…oh my god.”

Sinking back down to sit upon the surface of the stone bridge, she would dig in the large pockets of the oversized red windbreaker that covered up her one-piece swimsuit of white and red colors to pull out a pack of cigarettes and a silver lighter. Having to roll another one-hundred sounded like agony to the girl with the black eyepatch- she felt like she deserved a cigarette, even if she was a youngster. However, upon removing a silver lighter that sat within her other pocket and sparking up the smoke that sat in between her lips, Vesta would notice that a new ping would appear on one of the more central screens of her tech- it would be a notice from one of her other guildmates of Abyssal Fleet, signaling to her that the masters would, unfortunately, be unavailable to attend the beach party. Letting out a deep sigh as she would continue to roll for the five star that she wished for, the tech-ridden girl would look down at her hexbug that now sat in her lap whilst rapidly moving her optics from screen to screen. "Damn, they flaked on us, Bugby," she would say within a low pitch, her hair fluttering behind the ultraviolet mask that spanned across her face, "I'm sure it's important, but.. this really sucks, damn." Having been excited to spend time with some of her new acquaintances, something she did not do much of other than with her siblings, the feeling of a bit of a pit in her stomach would manifest. Vesta had never been flaked on before, even with working alongside such shady people in the black markets of Talonia and the alleyways of all the major cities of Ishgar- the feeling of this was new, and it sucked.

Swiping away some of the smaller tabs she had open in the form of magical screens, the girl of the lacrimanet would quickly stand up from the bridge she was waiting upon and would seemingly slip into the shadows in a dark flash of crimson electricity. A spell to allow for her to quickly relocate to where she had parked her motorcycle, she would quickly maneuver into a small groove in-between trees and would sit upon the soft cushion of her vehicle. Sighing to herself, she would make her way back home, screens still twinkling within her gaze as she would drive.
