Personality:
Roku is someone who in most ways defines what it is to have lead a rough and tumble sort of lifestyle. He is tough, intelligent, and more often than not, stubborn as a flock of goats. As with most things though, a good deal of what is shown in public is nothing more than a front in order to maintain the tough guy persona that he has kept as a defensive measure since his early days on the streets. Behind the bristly demeanor, Roku is an amazingly kindhearted person who will gladly step in front of bullet for those that he cares about and almost always carries around a pocket full of candy on the off chance he encounters a child who needs a little something extra in order to bring a smile to their face.

Combat is something that Roku happens to relish, probably in large part to the fact that he happens to be very good at it. Despite his relatively few years, Roku has been in a truly gargantuan amount of street fights and due to the nature of Fiore as a whole, many of those have involved the cut throat use of spells from the less than savory folks he had found himself at odds with. Despite his lack of a formal education in the matter, he is a grounded and thorough tactician who has experienced more life or death struggles than most people ever have the misfortune of going through in their lifetime. That being said, he is far from perfect and if grouped together with someone who obviously knows more about what is transpiring or who has proven themselves to be trustworthy with such things then he is more than happy to step aside and let the better person take the lead to get the outcome he is looking for.

Likes:

-Gambling: Roku is, and most likely always will be, something of a compulsive gambler.
-Bar Fights: There is just something glorious about seating your fist in the face of someone who either just spilled a drink on you or happened to mouth off about how your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.
-Children: As much as he would like to seem like some sort of tough guy, Roku has a soft spot for kids and those who were forced to grow up in bad situations.

Dislikes:
-High Class Restaurants/Bars: Roku is firm in his belief that expensive does not always mean good.
-Hangovers: While not the biggest drinker, he does tend to enjoy the sauce until the next day when his debt to his liver is called in.
-Exploitation: People who use others without any thought to how it affects their lives tends to stick in his craw, and more often than not, has Roku try to step in and put a stop to it.

Motivations:
-Provide Strength: Helping those who came from slums and other downtrodden areas is his main reason for joining up with the Rune Knights in the first place.
-Voice of Reason: Despite his sometimes reckless nature when off the job, Roku would like to gain enough rank to see to it that those in charge of things have a grounded point of view to hear when it is needed.
-A Noble End: Roku has seen too many people meet their end in back alleys and side streets and vowed to himself that when he dies it will be because whatever he is fighting for is worth it.

-Debt Collecters: Any longtime gambler quickly comes to fear a losing streak and a knock at the door.
-Eels: Not something he would open up to anyone about but the idea of being stuck in the water with these slimy little monsters gives Roku the shivers.
-Lack of Love: Getting to the end of his life and finding himself completely alone has been the theme of plenty of his nightmares.
