- Job Info:
Nessa hadn't actually spoken directly to Marcus since their little encounter in the woods, but she had spent an awful lot of time thinking about it. About the way Marcus spoke, and how he'd behaved towards her. The words he'd said and the little interactions they had shared. She had felt pretty embarrassed about it when she got home, having been so forward with a complete stranger. But overall felt better, than what she would normally had on that day. She also figured that whatever it was that had driven him to leave, wasn't down to her. She decided it was probably something he was dealing with and leaving was his only option, even if he hadn't said goodbye. So she wouldn't bring it up or pressure him about it today.
Because today, as it turns out the two were to do a job together, having both accepted the job sheet at the guild. She arrived on the train to Lavender Port City train station at around eight am, stepping off the train to into the shining sunny weather. She made her way over to the stations bench, having sent notice to the guild, informing Markus that she would be at the station. She took a seat, pulling her bag onto her lap. She unclasped it, and reached in, pulling out a bottle of water for herself. She drank from it, the cool water gliding down her throat, quenching her thirst. It was kind of hot today. It was for this reason she was wearing her usual violet and white dress. With white knees highs socks and plimsoles. She had purposely not worn shorts and a tank top as she remembered clearly that it had been what she had worn last time they'd met. Not that Markus would care, it was just something she was self-conscious about.
The job they were taking was a little bit of a curious one, there had been an odd increase in the sale of fairy-related products. Particularly fairy wings, it was their job to investigate and make sure things weren't being manufactured illegally. Nessa was particularly disturbed by the nature of the job because she had considered the sellers means of obtaining such things. Were these people capturing and butchering fairies? If so that would be barbaric, and Nessa would definitely not hold back on this. It was one thing to collect them from fallen fairies, but to take them from live one. Nessa wouldn't stand for it, and she sincerely hoped that wouldn't be their discovery later on. Although, with her ongoing experience as a mage, she was beginning to learn to expect the worse from these things.
She put the bottle back in her satchel, wiping her lips with her hand of any excess residue, kicking her legs back and forth in anticipation. She looked up, waiting for Marcus's approach eagerly. Whilst working out in her head what she was going to say to him. She was glad of at least one thing, today he would be finding her in her normal perky state, much happier than the embarrassing way he had discovered her before.
