    Spoiler:

’I can’t believe they forced me to dress up.’

A vague sense of déjà vu struck her, the venue familiar as she recalled another wedding hazily, some odd little red man performing some odd feats and an even stranger speech…but like various other memories she could tell they’d been altered. She pushed aside those thoughts however, eager to not dwell on things she’d someday hopefully fix and cast her gaze about, taking in all the finely dressed strangers as they mingled. ’I suppose I should’ve come here with them,’ she regretted in hindsight, ’but it would’ve been odd to double back. I wish I could’ve at least brought Nocshanks…but I guess if they want us to be undercover having a horse-sized dog does make one stick out like a sore thumb…’

Mao chose to ignore her unique traits, knowing that a few of the guests’ lingering glances weren’t because of the nice dress the wedding party forced her into, the sparkling black dress just reaching her knees before it gave way to black tights and heeled ankle boots. Her shoulders and arms would’ve been barren if not for a shawl and a pink rose corsage. No matter how nicely she dressed however people would always stare at those long, dark ears and the stranger tail that split into three tips. If not for the need to occasionally change locations she might’ve tried to hide it beneath one of the tables with their floor-length cloths – though then she’d worry about people stepping on the thing unwittingly.

Fiddling with the shawl she opted to leave the corner, a nearby group of men constantly looking over and she could just imagine them making some bet about approaching her about a dance. ’Perhaps a snack and then I’ll try to see if I can spy them…but it’s so hard when everyone’s basically dressed in similar suits. If they stuffed me into a dress then surely they forced them into suits…but if they’re just as coifed as the rest of these guests this could take a while…’ Worst came to worst the crystal user would just wait until some of the ex-boyfriend’s posse showed up as she figured the most likely people to sock it to them would be one of her guildmates. While the woman didn’t want to presume anything one of them was a fire user, and she’d found a lot of those associated with fire magic to be rather passionate type people. ’Or I guess he who casts the first or second stone could be Mashyuu…’

    " “

"Hey lady, I'm similarly uncomfortable to be here but if you want to avoid those pretty perverted gazes coming from that riled up possé of men over there, I suggest you take my hand and we try our best at dancing.“

This was Ibara's way of trying to help the girl he'd almost instantly spotted upon his arrival. It was obvious enough that this was the woman whom was meant to be assigned as his partner. Purple hair, a dress that stood out like a sore thumb but was beautiful nonetheless and not to mention the cat ears and tail to match. Ibara couldn't actually reference a stranger thought but he decided to leave it be. There was no point in questioning himself at this point, it would only get in the way, as he'd found out through various bad experiences in jobs.

"To think I had to borrow Klein's tux again.. I hate these things!“

The outfits simply brought bad memories back to the surface again. Having to pretend to be someone's boyfriend, that was a whole different level of awkward not only because Ibara had absolutely no experience in matters concerning girls, but he found the two women utterly revolting when they decided to put their attitude on display for the first time. Ibara shook his head while his hand remained outstretched to Mao. He clearly had no idea what he was doing as his ungentlemanly hand showed very little sign of etiquette. In fact it could've have been more mistaken for an enclosed fist rather than a delicate hand of invitation. Ibara looked unnaturally uncomfortable in this situation, these events clearly weren't his forté.

Despite his uncomfortability with it all sidetracking him to a degree, this didn't deter his gaze from being trained on almost everyone at the party at once. He'd duly noted the men in the corner which had prompted him to inviting Mao to dance in the first place, but what he was really looking for pertained to the job much more specifically. He couldn't wait for these supposed wedding crashers to invite themselves in to a whole world of pain.

The young Earth Slayer stepped into the room, his light blue eyes ran along the scene in front of him while he ran a hand through his seemingly perfect and spiked brown hair. His free left hand smoothed out any crease in his midnight blue tux with his white button down shirt popping against the blue neck tie he wore. A half grin spread over his face while his nostrils flared for a moment, taking in the various scents of the room. He looked down at his left, where his Familiar, Rocky would have normally been. Sadly the creature had been left at the Sabertooth Guild Hall along with Mashyuu's familiar jacket.

While he would never admit it Mashyuu was a hopeless romantic and even during his time traveling the world alone he kept a tux pressed and clean at all times for such an occasion as this. Casually he walked through the mess of people and took in their scents, taking note of anyone who smelled alike before he spotted a strange thing... A beautiful woman in a dark dress with a young man that he had seen around the Sabertooth guild hall from time to time. The man had been apparently trying to ask the woman to dance and Mashyuu couldn't help but cut in.

Mashyuu effortlessly strode up to the beauty, his hand gently but firmly took hers and he slipped a hand around her waist, slipping between the other slayer Mashyuu effortlessly attempted to steal the dance. "You two must be the other Sabertooth Members sent for the job? The guys in the corner over there all have the same scent, likely the gang we should be watching. I'd like to get closer to the bride in case something happens. Can you keep an eye on the gang sir?" Mashyuu asked as his feet drifted over towards the dance floor.

    Post by Cr1tikal 25th December 2015, 10:35 pm

It would almost be like old times! Well, if Aiyana managed to find her mate once she arrived! After finding out that the young woman had gone to protect a wedding from angry crashers, Aiyana had left to catch up so she could try out some of the stuff there that involved pairs, and maybe even catch that bouquet! As she grew closer to the crowd she could feel a certain mage's magical energy; Mao's. A smile would come across her face as the dress wearing woman made her way over to where she felt her second half at.

The green dress clad woman was surprisingly well-covered, unless they started to do acrobatics during their time here; there was nothing underneath it. That was the opposite of the usual. Normally she wore the revealing clothing and wore her standard undergarments underneath it. Now she wore a full dress with nothing under it! As she drew near to the center of the party she could see Mao, a bunch of men around her, and looking like she could use someone that understood her. Not wanting to wait any longer, and to get to Mao like she wanted to, the young woman made her way quickly through the crowd to get to the one she loved.

The faint scent that one could sense after the rain reached her nose as she got closer to Mao, the woman's natural scent a most divine one if you asked for the celestial spirit's opinion on it. It did not take long for Aiyana to reach her intended target, walking up to her just as a man put an arm around her waist. "Mao! There you are! I heard you went to a wedding to protect it, just like we did before quite a while back! Thought I'd come along, may I ask for you by my side while we make sure this wedding isn't ruined?" Arms opened up for a hug, allowing Mao the chance to meet the warmth of her body in an embrace after finding each other.

Post by Chesha 25th December 2015, 11:33 pm

A voice poked through her thoughts, a hand being held out before her. Eyes roamed up into golden ones, the taller man intimidating alongside his general demeanor at first look. Yet he was offering to help her in sorts, no doubt capable of scaring off the group with but a glare if he so chose…and then his mutterings after brought a small wave of sympathy even as a part of her wanted to laugh. Dressing up certainly wasn’t the crystal user’s cup of tea either, but what could one do? Noticing how his gaze roamed the party as if searching for something…’He must be one of my assigned partners.’

About to accept the offer – and possibly use the dance as a way to strategize with the man – any such notions flew out the window when some strange fellow waltzed right up and stole her hand away, forcing her away from the red head as a hand locked around her waist. A small, ”Eep!” slipped out at the brash fellow’s actions, the long tail tri-tipped tail twisting in a mixture of surprise and increasing anxiety at the suddenness of the action. Never mind having so much attention just being touched like a piece of furniture or a dish laid about for anyone to grab was enough to unnerve any woman as far as Mao cared!

Down she ducked, Mao pulling her hand free from the odd man’s grip as she spun away, placing the thick tail between her and the gent. Mouth open to rebuke his offer she only belatedly registered his words and confusion stopped her before yet another stimuli presented itself and the animalistic woman could pick out an all too familiar scent. Then there she was, offering comfort and apparently help to the odd – and perhaps somewhat mismatched group (she’d definitely meet her team before going to the location next time) – group. Happily she hugged the other woman, the hair on her tail settling back down even as the large limb lowered, no longer partially brandished.

Relaxing after a few seconds she pulled away, a little concerned now though pleased they at least had more even numbers now. ”Err…if we’re all here to help the couple then perhaps we should pair off,” she kept her tone down at a conversational level, though peering between the two men the shorter woman hesitated at suggesting they perhaps patrol together…and appear as friends. It wasn’t that it was an impossibility, and perhaps the gruff one could turn out to be the type who barely wanted to harm a hair on even the most aggressive of animals but…at the same time the brunette had pulled off a move she’d read in books that often lead to the partner spy being a bit…miffed at the other one. She’d love to walk around the party with Aiyana, but at the same time this was more for business than pleasure. ”I would love to…if you two are fine working together? If not then it might be better to appear as their wedding dates.”

Quickly looking back at the corner Mao noted that the group there earlier had dispersed, probably during the minor kafuffle just now. ’They did it so smoothly and seamlessly too…’

    magical status:

    a true son of a

    " “

Ibara was agitated at his initial proposal to a girl whom he'd hardly met nor had he much evidence to go on that this was the mage he was intended to rendezvous with. By now he was incessantly shaking from knuckle to fingertip as an overwhelming sense of awkwardness seemed to befall the entire situation. For some reason, Ibara wished he had something to be angry about, at least that'd turn this demeanour of the conversation up a notch.

Like most detrimental things that Ibara consistently wishes for, this was one of them. He didn't know how to describe the overwhelming sense of resentfulness that he now felt to the man whom had somewhat 'swished' infront of him with a slight demeanour full to the brim with bravado and self-confidence. Without a doubt in the world, Ibara instantly disliked the guy. Not only had he ruined Ibara's efforts, confronting his own personal fears with talking to anyone upfront in that manner, but he'd also been foiled purposely or not by a man whom considered himself as the young dragon's better, superior or master. It was obvious by the way he acted. To make matters worse, the brown haired magisterial began steering Ibara in a different direction through pompous orders that he soon began to belt out.

    "You're asking for it..~“

Luckily Ibara was cut off as the other young man whisked the pretty girl away, off her feet and into the dance floor for the rest of the crowd to admire instead. Ibara sighed and considered this notion for the best as he watched them unfurl amidst the crowds of guests whom were also attendants to the wedding.

The young dragon took his time to glance over his shoulder only to note the rabble of young gentleman whom had originally crowded the corner were now walking in an opposite direction. Strangely not taking turns that revolve around them either going to the toilet, getting a snack or a drink, or simply to socialise with the guests. No their direction seemed much more concise, an area behind the stage where the toast in regards to the wedding was soon to be made.

"Oh Igneel.. What am I getting myself into andd... I'm talking to myself again.“

Ibara slapped a hand firmly onto his face to solidify his own stupidity before turning to the direction that the men were now gesturing towards. He'd figured that if he were to leave the two women alone with the grandiose, they could handle themselves just fine while he brought the problem down at it's course. Wait.. did he say that correctly? Two woman?! He glanced again to confirm his beliefs and it proved to be true. Another woman, similar in odd features to that of the mage he'd initially met, though with more abundance in number of tails. She seemed to be handling the job of dealing with the young man in a much more manageable fashion than Ibara ever could.

Ibara walked off only to find himself in a similar position to where the rabble of gentleman were originally. From that vantage point, he found himself looking directly backstage only to find a group of nine men exactly by his count (there could have been more, counting was never Ibara's strong suit). Each of them looked as if they were setting up some sort've magical-related trap, releasing magical circles underneath the stage, summoning pets from god knows where. There was only one thing Ibara could resort to at this point.

"At least be a little more subtle next times, dumbasses.“

He paused for breath before a monster-like grim, befitting of the most traumatizing of scenes soon spread wide on his face.

"Pops always taught me.. you either go hard or go home. So, which one will it be?“

He didn't waste much on words while the group of nine supposed henchmen merely sidled themselves to face Ibara head on. They clearly weren't phased as they gave the young dragon mixed responses of utter disdain. A few of them spat while the others reinforced that by laughing at his threats.

    "Guess we're going hard.“

Ibara was so fast that none of them even had time to move. His hands had already moved up to his mouth and there, a bullet-sized globule of flame was launched at high velocity to the nearest henchmen, the one whom had most notably spat the largest and longest which had scraped the top of Ibara's shoe. A big mistake on his account as the spell bounced off the floor, a direction Ibara had intentionally aimed at, only to fire upwards into the man's chin. It had no piercing edge to it and, as such, only struck the henchman like a boxer would land an uppercut, although in this case, the spell would send him sky-high, flying high above the wedding stage to noticed by a few as a mere firework (some even applauded the spectacle) before landing back down at his original position.

    "Who's next?“

Ibara's red eyes now blazed with a reinforced vigour, he was clearly ready for a challenge, regardless of whether he would win or not.

Another truly beautiful woman had came up and stolen Mao right from Mashyuu, while normally he would have said something the two women seemed to know each other and Mashyuu was sure that this was the team that was supposed to be keeping the bride safe from an ex boyfriend and the man's friends. Mashyuu let his eyes bounce between the two women for a moment and he relented. "I don't really care how we go about this. But some names would be nice right? I'm Mashyuu" The Earth Wizard waited to get the names of the others then glanced over to where the men had been standing, only to see fire shoot up from behind the stage that the wedding party was supposed to be sitting on. While others clapped at the display Mashyuu wasn't so stupid. "That guy's already fighting? Must be the fire dragon slayer...."

Instead of rushing to the man's aid Mashyuu first checked the room. Plants rested in each corner of the room, that would be good to know, the dirt in the plants could be used to cast Mashyuu's spells. But until he got close enough to use that dirt the Earth Slayer was forced to rely on his basic strikes and dragon augmentation magic. He wanted to roll his eyes but instead glanced back at the ladies. "Tell ya what, you two save me a dance and I'll pull our friend there out of the trouble he is going to get himself into." Mashyuu winked at the ladies with tails then headed off around the opposite end of the stage to see what was happening. As he went Mashyuu made sure to walk past a plant and pull enough dirt out of one to compress it into a hard mound to act as a rock bullet. It hang just a half inch in front of his finger as he came up behind the group of men and the fire Wizard.

Her hug was happily accepted as Mao held it with her for a good few seconds before the two released their hold on each other. It helped calm the other woman down, something that had needed doing with what seemed like a random person latching on to her. Mao mentioned pairing off, but it didn't take long for one of them to run off and begin fighting with people behind the stage; most likely the party crashers involved with the jealous one trying to ruin the wedding. Then the other mentioned introductions, giving away the name of Mashyuu at the same time. "The name's Aiyana, nice to meet you finally!" There wasn't much else to say, though, as that man also went off to join into the fray.

"Well Mao, I think they can handle that group. We should stick together and keep an eye out for any more that try to sneak in while that fight is going on." The words were spoken as she looked into the other's eyes, and as she finished she looked back at her own shadow. "All right Memory, let's get that lovable Tom Ato out here and let him do his thing. He's really good at beating up these guys now." With that said the trash talking tomato demon would be brought to life, ready and willing to use his precious puns on their opponents.

"Oh! Another wedding? That's grape! I'll just make sure to loaf around until we get a real challenge!" With that said the demon plant began wandering around, chatting up ladies while Mao and Aiyana kept the lookout part going.

At some point the red head had toddled off, Mao feeling a little bad for leaving him so suddenly like that even if it hadn’t been entirely her fault. She’d noticed too late though for her suggestion not to sound at least a little silly at first. Hesitating just a moment – if only to try and spy the red head she surmised to be a part of their party – Mao bowed her head a little, ”I’m Mao, it’s a pleasure.” Following his gaze as something sparkled in the fellow’s eyes, the tailed woman caught the tail end of the sparks, Mashyuu voicing her suspicions. His last comment left her a little puzzled, the crystal user ultimately letting it roll off as it seemed the pairs for protection detail were decided – though again she held a few worries on how the two gents would get on with their opponents.

    And each other.

’I hope they don’t devolve into bickering…competition would be fine as long as they don’t fight each other.’ Then again maybe she was getting ahead of herself and assuming things and then dropped those thoughts completely as her mate summoned the oddest thing…and it spoke in wordplay! She was fascinated with the thing as it toddled off to mingle with other partygoers right up until the poor thing had to dodge some guy’s attempt at punting him.

Anger rolled off him in palpable waves, face stuck in an odd contortion between wrath and cockiness – the smirk and gritted teeth combo a bit alarming as if he bared his fangs at everyone nearby. Then again given the demeanor perhaps that worked just fine for him as those sharp eyes dashed everywhere to find the source of his raging emotions. As they narrowed on the happy couple some yards away the smirk curled impossibly more as he touched a nearby table with an array of silverware. The lot of them began glowing, cutlery shivering as they became charged…

Mao threw the first thing that came to hand.

Which is how the man came to have lettuce glued to him by dressing, slices of tomatoes and cucumbers slowly racing until gravity forced them to the ground and croutons crunched beneath his recently shined shoes. A bowl performed a few twirls on his head before settling like a lopsided hat as a purely rage-filled face now stared the two women down – primarily a certain rabbit-eared one, and he screamed, ”YOU BITCH!”

’Well….he’s half right.’ She paid little mind to the three creeping up behind them, more worried about the mad bull in front of her over the extra cronies that hadn't gotten caught up in the earthbound fireworks happening behind the stage.

Post by redheadedstepchild 29th December 2015, 10:06 pm

"Ya know Fire Slayer.... I don't think there are enough of these guys. We should let one run to go get some friends. In fact we should all step outside. I wouldn't want to ruin such a nice wedding. What do you think?" Mashyuu asked while shrugging his head to the left towards the door. Slowly he walked over towards the door and pushed it open while a man ran out of the hall. Mashyuu let the thug run then allowed the rest of the party to exit. Weather the Fire Slayer came with him or not Mashyuu stepped outside and cracked his knuckles with excitement for the upcoming fight.

Light blue eyes looked around the grass back yard at the nine thugs standing around Mashyuu. The Earth Dragon Slayer grinned from ear to ear while dropping into a low stance, ready to fight whoever came at him first. Mashyuu felt the muscles under his suit jacket ripple before one of the men rushed the Earth Slayer.

As the man came at Mashyuu, the slayer held his palm out and a staff of pure rock shot up out of the ground and into Mashyuu's palm. Swiftly he used half the staff to push the thugs fist away, then spun the staff around his body and smacked it into the the thugs face. It cracked loudly while the man fell backwards in pain. Another man came at Mashyuu and the Slayer swang the staff out and pulled the man's legs out from under him, cracking the man's head on the hard dirt ground.

Ibara wasn't exactly sure what he was doing with one foot firmly wedged up another man's arse.

"You assholes really don't know when to quit.“

As controversial as this was, with the men outnumbering him eight to one (formally nine to one), they all gazed upon him with mixed looks of both fear and bravado. They encouraged themselves to stand up to a boy whom was considerably their lesser in both age and experience which probably acted as their only fuel to actually continue fighting. That was until flames erupted from Ibara's foot, the foot task with occupying another man's anus by the way.

Like all things that blast flame from an exterior point, the man went flying into the air, another firework spectacle for the rest of the wedding to witness. Little did they know that this heated fight ensued behind the bridal stage of the event.

The young dragon was enjoying himself to the point where he actually began to laugh while fists of fury rained down at him from every angle. The thugs were deceived by drunkenness though and their blows betrayed them, missing the fire slayer at every possible oppurtunity. Naturally this opened Ibara to all kinds of openings as he returned with heavier blows of his own, single-handedly knocking them five of them to the floor. It was a shame they weren't down for the count for long. A shame for them that is.

His enjoyment was slowly reduced to a half-assed grimace while he repelled yet another man back with a pitch-perfect kick to the crown jewels of another embarrassed assailant. By the time the earth slayer pitched up to the scene, the men now crowding Ibara looked ashamed of themselves with exhausted trickles of sweat running down their long and rather grotesque looking features, typical of a thug, Ibara thought to himself.

    "Not the Casanova again..“

He'd noticed him out of the corner of his eye, and while his attention was solely focused on a solemn grimace in an attempt to ward his fellow partner off from this particular battle, Ibara was dealt a heavily weighted, drunken fist of steel right into his jawline. His cheek vibrated at the force of the blow and he promptly somersaulted forwards, landing on his face with arse-up to the breeze.

"You cheap-shotted me..? You.. cheap-shotted me?! Why you little punk, c'mere!“

Ibara's attention was now lost on the earth slayer as he promptly decided it'd be best to gather up his dignity while he still had the chance. Though Ibara's definition of "gathering his dignity" turned out to mean beating the man whom had struck him earlier to a mere speck of his former self. In retrospect it wasn't much but Ibara diminished the thug's dignity to the size of a pea by the time he was finished.

In fact, it was after he dealt with the man, brushing both hands to allow billowing dust clouds (partially mixed with the occasional speck of blood) to hear what the earth slayer had to say.

"Finally we can agree on something. Although embarrassing their sorry behinds in front of everyone would be a grand spectacle for a wedding, I guess you're right.“

With that, Ibara simply shrugged his shoulders and cracked his neck simultaneously. He watched as the earth slayer successfully herded the thugs out of the swinging doors using what looked like an earth-made cane to his disposal. His attempts at warding off the assailants were successful but Ibara couldn't help but thinking that his blows were too slow, these men were weak, far-from what the two could potentially face.

"Thanks for the opportunity~ FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR!“

Ibara smirked as his tongue clicked and out-emerged the verbal pronunciation to one of his spells as he so often did. An aurora of absolute power radiating a strong orange, gold and red erupted through the now-open doors onto the horde of men that crowded his compatriot. Although this was far from his intention, if Mashyuu weren't to move, he too would be met with a wave of flame.

Considering the efficient blows of Mashyuu's earth cane combined with Ibara's trading of punches with the thugs from earlier, the dragon's breath that carried so much power behind it was more than enough to see the now-remaining seven thugs off to a land of absolute unconsciousness. Upon the flames' clearance, it was evident that the thugs now laid there, piled on top of eachother in an unexpected heap after Ibara's handiwork. He clasped his hands together and dusted them in a similar manner to before.

"We all have different types of people we interact best with. Yours is with women, mine? With violence-seeking thugs.“

Ibara revealed a very occasional grin in Mashyuu's direction before turning on his heels to walk back to the wedding. He'd dusted himself off previously and looked presentable, now seeking the company of Mao and Aiyana, the two wizard partners he'd acquainted himself with from earlier.

    Post by Cr1tikal 6th January 2016, 3:15 am

The two woman and the talking tomato did not have to wait long for something interesting to happen to the trio. The angriest of men attempted to kick poor Tom Ato, the demon dodging swiftly before speaking up. "Hey! Pick on someone your own size, or you'll find your foot between your buns like a hot dog!" The comment went unnoticed, however, as he seemed to use his magic to make cutlery start glowing. It was obvious what was going to happen, and before Aiyana could do anything the woman next to her reacted first; a salad bowl and the entire contents flying at him.

"Ha! Looks like someone got their salad tossed! And this guy got the dressing all over his face!" The little demon was busy rolling around on the ground, legs kicking through the air, as a rage fille word hit Aiyana's ears; this man calling Mao a bitch. "Oh no! You do NOT get to call her that! Only I can call her that!" The words were followed by a blast of ice that made the shape of a web before striking him in the face. The true ice froze the muscles in his jaw, keeping him from doing any more talking. Following behind this web of ice was the woman sprinting at the anger filled man, a woman intent on letting Tom Ato have his way in just a few short minutes. Upon getting close enough, Aiyana would let loose a half ring of frost, being mindful not to use the full spell to keep the wedding intact, that bound the ex-boyfriend's feet to the ground. "Tom! Do your wurst!"

"Haha! Good one! Now it's time to get him right in the cherries!" The insane tomato did the strangest, screaming, war cry as he charged at the man locked in place. He had heard the talking demon, and tried his best to defend his prized package as the monster charged him. Knees tried to cross in vain as the small demon, though a lot stronger than he looked, did a great flying kick towards the man's crotch. "Fruit Fly Breadbasket kick!" The sound made with the kick followed by a scream louder than any she'd heard before pierced through the crowd as the man collapsed to the ground; Tom Ato doing his customary river dance over the guy as people turned and began laughing at the insane scene.

Turning to Mao, Aiyana asked a good question. "You think the lackeys are going to stick around with him out of the picture? Maybe we can get on with the wedding and actually get that dance in!"

Post by Chesha 6th January 2016, 4:05 am

’Oh…okay….’ For some reason Aiyana seemed to take great exception to the man’s chosen word. Inherently Mao knew it to be an insult for this culture, but…it was hard to take it as one when she was aware of her canine heritage. ’Must be the fact he tried to insult then.’ Only lightly blushing at the latter half of the statement, Mao had faith that between Aiyana and the odd little tomato demon they could handle the angry fellow. If they required aid she’d certainly come. ’But first things first: to squash a few flies.’

Turning about, her skirt swished as the woman leveled a small glare at the three men, eyes glittering with a dangerous determination to see to it…they fared little better than their boss would (though she had little inclination as to what would happen to the man within seconds). They luckily didn’t look like much, each man merely raising their fists as if ready to duke it out with the classily dressed mage. Any bravado they once held slowly ebbed away with the crackling sound of encroaching diamond armor. High heels gained spikey protrusions even as one could hazily see black through the lighter coating over tights that disappeared beneath her dress, arms receiving a similar form before they blossomed into a pair of claws with more jagged spikes lining her arm to the elbow. Ears curved from the crown that formed over her head, the armor transforming their appearance more into a pair of horns than the usually soft appendages, the normally cuddly tail becoming a third, giant claw to match the almost draconic appearance.

In the light of the room she glittered softly, the black of her clothes adding to the almost icy look of the gemstone, eliciting some jealous sighs from some high society women: she sported more diamonds than they could ever hope to wear at one time (and not appear gaudy). Behind her a loud scream sounded, acting like a gunshot to start a race as the diamond encrusted woman charged at the now nervous trio.

    They went down pityingly fast.

The middle man became her pivot point, his wavering eyes locked onto her as those hefty claws landed on his shoulders and she kicked upwards, landing a hard blow to the jaw of the man on his left. That bloke flew backwards, skidding across the floor before his legs flopped down and he went lax. As she came about in her swing the long, tri-tipped tail furthered her momentum as it arched to solidly slam into the man on the right and knocking the air out of him as the hardened thing struck mid-back. Anything remaining in his lungs evacuated once he too hit the floor – and not with any groovy moves aside for a second or two of wiggling that could barely pass for The Worm. Only two wiggles of wobbling and he was done though, barely getting even a one from any judges that might’ve been in attendance.

As the circle came to a near completion and Mao regained her footing with the help of her tail pressing against the floor she came to knee the useful middle fellow in the gut. At least that’d been the plan, but the heel slipped a bit and forced a stumble that found her diamond-grade knee meeting the man’s family jewels. Sound attempted to come out, but it mostly came out as a breathy utterance of air mixed with a hint of pain – more visible in the man’s wide eyes tearing up before rolling into the back of his head. Only now did she register Aiyana’s question, turning to the other woman with a diamond-covered hand raised to her mouth in a show of worry as eyebrows knit, ”Oh…err…I suppose I didn’t have to do that, did I? Although…I didn’t mean to get him there…I swear…” High heels truly weren’t a part of her everyday wardrobe, never mind any combat oriented one. They were hard to account for in the heat of the moment. She felt so bad as she cast a pitying glance down at the unfortunate man that she forgot to dissolve the armor for a few more seconds, leaving partygoers to keep their distance from her slowly waving tail out of fear of getting hit – or at least snagged on the jagged bits.

Post by redheadedstepchild 6th January 2016, 5:33 pm

Mashyuu had made a fairly large opening in the group of wedding crashers who were outside the hall and Ibara took a deep breath of air, the tell-tell sign of a Dragon's Roar spell. Mashyuu swiftly glanced over his shoulder and shot an elbow up just at the fire jutted from his allies mouth. A stone wall shot up behind the Earth Dragon Slayer, just barely keeping the fire from burning Mashyuu to a crisp. His blue eyes glanced over to see two of the men standing behind the wall with the Earth Slayer. Mashyuu raised a brow and grinned wide. "This isn't for you...." He muttered while pointing to the wall behind him...

Dropping his staff Mashyuu pulled up a set of gauntlets over his arms and rushed forward. The flames started to die down and the two men took a step back but not fast enough. Mashyuu's fists came up, right into the jaws of the men. They fell back and hit the ground hard, passing out on impact. Mashyuu's wall crumbled behind him as did his stone gauntlets. A wide grin spread over his face as he turned to join the Fire Dragon Slayer back at the wedding. "Hey, good moves back there. I think the ladies have things wrapped up though..."213 Mashyuu walked back inside while straightening his tie and dusting bits of dirt off his arms. He lifted his hand at the sight of the women cleaning house and patted the fire slayer on the back. "See, they are doing just fine. By the way... I'm Mashyuu.

    " “

The young dragon breathed a heavy sigh of relief as the smoke from the fire breath cleared. After seeing the supposed casanova free from harm and dispatching several of the thugs on his own, Ibara turned, realising that concerning the safety of another wasn't really necessary; especially someone who was so competent in the field of battle. Instead he let a 'pssh' sound escape his lips and began to walk out from behind the stage, after straightening his tuxedo of course. However his decisive walk was interrupted after Mashyuu finally decided to introduce himself on much more equal terms than before. Ibara smiled and shook his head for a few moments.

"Yeah, they probably are. Let's go.“

Ibara didn't feel comfortable dropping a first-name basis so nonchalantly so instead he persisted with his walk and exited the stage. Although he felt slightly discomforted at disregarding Mashyuu's hospitality so easily, he knew he'd get a later opportunity to do so and even if he didn't; he'd create one for himself.

The images Ibara saw as he finally looked upon the wedding again would probably scar him for the rest of his life. He couldn't even put into words what exactly what he was seeing but he did try his best.

"Is that a talking tomato? Or did I have too much champagne?“ Ibara's eyes furrowed themselves while he watched Aiyana pass his view, dispatching several more of the thugs that'd he'd been similarly dealing with from behind the stage. He guessed the ones behind the stage weren't the only ones deciding to cause trouble at this wedding. In fact, the most prominent of the wedding crashers, the crazy-ex boyfriend they were designated to look out for had already gone down at the hands of that same talking tomato. The rest of the thugs seemed to follow suit, each individual one of them laying sprawled out along different parts of the venue. Ibara stepped forwards and announced pretty succinctly.

"What are you fools looking at? Don't you have a wedding to enjoy?“

He pretty much shouted at them and his aggressive attitude seemed to connect with each guest. They all turned away from him after visibly acknowledging his words. The band started up again, the drinking continued and the food was now being distributed. All was well. This didn't deter Ibara from being severely creeped out by the talking tomato as he passed it with a bewildered stare to his seat. He glanced to Aiyana and spoke up before finally relaxing back at his table.

    "Is he one of yours?“

    Post by Cr1tikal 17th January 2016, 12:40 am

Poetry in motion was the best words to describe Mao's battle with the lackey's that came at her. Her dance with the group ended with a high heel strike to the final man's crotch; the pained sound leaving his lips making it obvious just how painful that hit could be. The diamond covered woman began her apologies, even though Aiyana wasn't upset, as one of the other Sabertooth members walked up and asked if Tom Ato was with her. "Yeah, he's one of my summons. He's kind of eccentric, so be careful." The words would barely leave her mouth as people attempted to focus back on the event they were here to enjoy; the wedding.

The wedding wasn't too long from that point on, the bride and groom not wanting to take the chance of more people trying to interrupt or ruin it. Vows were made, the kiss was complete, and the cheers and applause of those gathered for the joyous occasion were heard across the entirety of Rose Garden for the newly wed couple. After that there was only one more thing to do before it devolved into an even bigger party; the throwing of the bouquet! Women from all over grouped into the middle of the dance floor; pushing and pulling to get an advantage in the catching of the bunched up flowers. Aiyana had no intention of bringing herself into the mess of people; her tails would be stepped on withing moments of trying to. Instead she would move off to the side, to watch the hilarity ensue.

Post by Chesha 17th January 2016, 2:03 am

Luckily for the quartet nothing else threatened the wedding thereafter, the group able to merely enjoy the festivities and free food. Sure they had to sit through a quick ceremony – Mao surmised they spoke a little faster than most might normally, but for good reasons – and then things were starting to get into the swing of dancing and snacking when the announcement for the bouquet toss went out. Intrigued Mao watched as a gaggle of women converged onto the dance floor, huddled together in a way that made the short woman anxious just imagining being in the thick of things. It didn’t surprise her in the least when her mate opted out of this odd little tradition as her tails would no doubt suffer alike.

Though in Mao’s case she merely didn’t want them jostling and unnecessarily squishing her, the large tail capable of shoving someone away if necessary. ’Judging by their eagerness perhaps that’s part of this tradition?’ Regardless it was interesting to watch them bustle as the bride made a show of turning around and winding her arm up a few times, taunting the women with the promise of an incoming bushel of flowers. ’Why are they doing it? What does it mean?’ She crept a little closer, hoping to hear something other than murmurings of “It’s gonna be mine!” “No, mine!” yet nobody seemed keen on spilling the beans unwittingly. All too soon she flinched as shrieks rang out, the mob moving in tandem and swaying in their attempts to catch the now flying flora.

For reasons born of competition they swatted it away from each other, causing the thing to bounce atop the group as they fought and shoved – some of the outer ring forced to the ground – in their attempts to catch the flowers. All for naught…

…as it landed in calmly in Mao’s hands.

After the rough treatment it was a little haggard from its original visage of perfection, but the flowers smelled sweet all the same as she gave them a small whiff. Walking away from the melting glob of women – caused by their increasing disappointment at not being “the one” – she walked back to her mate, questioning aloud, ”But why were they getting so excited? What does it even mean?” Well she’d get Aiyana or someone to explain it to her later, surely someone understood this odd ritual.
