Meteor [Job: Sir Leonard and Mura Kensho] Empty Meteor [Job: Sir Leonard and Mura Kensho]

Post by Sir Leonard 15th August 2019, 6:16 am

In this particular afternoon on the peaceful city of Magnolia, most of the civilians looked up to the sky in wonder and curiosity, pointing and murmuring among themselves why it looks somewhat beautiful that it normally does. For at this particular day, the sky had a different shade of blue. It displayed a darker shade of blue, akin to that of blue flame. Though beautiful and seemingly harmless, there was one within the crowd who knew of what this entails, that this world is in danger of total annihilation. This is none other than Leo who partook in the daring mission to stop the danger from the sky.

Dressed in his old brown cloak, once again with his hood on, and this time his head down, he hurries to the guild hall of his home, Fairy Tail coming from his old shack to gather supplies for the journey to Era that are in a knapsack on his back that he carries by a rope that goes over his shoulder. He hurriedly passes through the crowd, paying no attention to them, his mind clearly focused on ending the threat as quickly as he could, along with the help of one of his children and current Guild Master, Mura Kensho whom he suspects is at the hall without any assurance, which is why he hurries there, afraid that he might miss him.

Leo has made it to the front of the hall's oaken doors, thunder rumbling in the distance, his daughter, Lina waiting for him as she holds on the reins of the horse they used to ride to ride on their way back to Fairy Tail named Lenny. As Leo approached Lina, he knelt down to be almost at the same eye level as her. He could clearly see the worry in her eyes, and the sadness that wells up inside her that in any moment could manifest themselves as tears. They looked deep into each other's eyes as if having a mental conversation with Leo trying to calm his daughter down. A smiled curled up in his face as he slowly places his strong gentle hands on her little head, caressing her hair. This made Lina tear up a little though she did not notice this at first, only when the drop had reached her lips that she felt it. In response to this feeling, she closed her eyes and proceeded to wipe her tears off with the back of her hand, dragging it across up until her arm. "Please be safe ok, dad? she said, her voice cracking up, evidently trying to hold off more tears and show strength to which Leo simply nodded with pride to reply to his daughter's words.

With a final soft tap to the head of his offspring, Leo stood up and stretched his hand out, while Lina tied Lenny's reins to a post and took Leo's hand as they went in to the guild at the same time, hand in hand, through the oaken doors.

The interior of the guild was particularly laid back and quiet as the thunder continue to rumble outside. Similar to the day he came back, there was little noise and few people present, and the few who are there can clearly deduce that something is wrong. That something bad is going to happen if nothing is done about it. But who were they to take on this tremendous task? They do not have the power to deal with it, and simply looked at Leo's general direction as soon as they heard the doors open. To them, Leo is but a stranger, a hooded figure who is apparently a member of Fairy Tail  since only a few days ago. And though they have not seen him in action, they feel as if Leo was qualified to take on this threat. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. He doesn't know for it has been years since Leo last drew upon his magic.

Leo let go of Lina's hand and placed his on her back as if prompting her to go somewhere "Stay in the library for a little while, ok? Go on. I'll be back." he said to her softly and as calmly as he could, surprisingly, not masking anything. Leo was indeed calm for this particular situation for he knows this job though important and dangerous that it could potentially  end all that exists,  that it wasn't about him. It was about seeing how powerful one of his children has grown. After all, this is their time, this is more their world than it is his.

As Lina was making her way towards the stairs to head on up to the library at the second floor, Leo was looking around for the same person he had asked to fetch Mura on his first day back to the guild. And after two minutes of scanning through the hall, he had found the specific individual taking his break, eating a sandwich and drinking juice near the bar of Fairy Tail.

Leo approached the employee and simply placed a hand on his shoulder as he was about to eat a piece of his sandwich he had on his hand while his eyes were closed. The employee suddenly opened his and turned his head towards Leo. He had only given the man a simple nod and the employee had only nodded back for they both knew what this is about. After all, he was the same man Leo has asked to hand him the job request. "Tell him to meet me outside." Leo said to him quietly.

With the sandwich placed back on the unfurled wrapper, the employee got up his stool and fetched Leo's partner for this dangerous mission. And on the other hand, Leo turned around and headed back outside, the oaken doors opening as soon as he got near them. It was here that Leo starred at the same blue sky from earlier, the thunder rumbling the distance. A great battle will soon begin and the stage is being set for the heroes that shall save this world. And Leo... Leo continued to stare with narrowed eyes, anxious of the dangers ahead.

Curiosity would certainly envelop those who witnessed the strange nuance of the sky outside. A deepish blue despite not even being evening yet, and yet then the evening sky would prefer an amber-like glow. This glow resembled the one during dawn when the sun just barely rose up from the horizon in the east. The issue was that it wasn’t even that late of an afternoon, and the sky’s color resembled deep-bluish embers. Most paid little attention to it, for in a world of magic at the very town that housed one of the pillars of the magic world - a guild as solidified as Fairy Tail - any alteration of reality could be explained as the work of someone’s magic power. It was a necessity to harbor this ignorance, for it wasn’t their fault. The danger was still far away, but it closed onto this planet with every second that passed. People did not know, nor had they any chance of knowing, that an asteroid somehow escaped its orbit found in the space between realms known as Wakusei, and that the asteroid was now labelled a meteor as it definitely had its aim for Earth and Earthland specifically. Whoever was behind this was yet to no one’s knowledge in carefree Magnolia…

Mura was found in the laboratory of one of the previous Guildmasters, Kiku, that bore the name Sykedalr Vylcuno. He was rather baffled by all the treasures found deep inside these rooms, for Kiku sure had been on his bout to collect material from all around Earthland and beyond. Some faculties were locked off, however, and Mura didn’t want to find out if his magic could bypass the magical seals that Kiku had put there personally. If it was locked away, then better stay that way for now. And shockingly, the crystalline cell wasn’t locked off… and it harbored quite a strange collection of bodies sealed inside lavender crystals. The same material that Heero was locked inside in back at his statue further below. Was it to experiment on them, originally? What did Kiku have in mind when inventing this practice?

His focus changed when a heavy sensation travelled through his bones. He could feel the change in atmosphere from deep down here thanks to his magical sensory. At first, he just thought that it was th works of one of his many respective guildmates - many from their guild harbored power enough to level cities and alter maps - so he kept looking around the crystal bodies in this chamber. Some of them were from Savage Skull, but they were unknown to the shaman. He had, simply, never met these people before, and it put a token on the passage of time between the decade of Kiku and the one that Mura lived in. A few flashbacks to his younger days passed by, and he could almost see them manifest right in front of him; his journey to Midi and the vampiric raid alongside Heero, and the tower with the priest of the sun. The latter was a memorable quest, for it was the one where he got to work alongside Sorano, his fellow Guildmaster and undoubtedly best little sister material (and also the one who brought him into her team). Gladly, she was still with him and Fairy Tail… they had gone through quite a lot.

“By the Shinto, how many bodies did Kiku collect?”
“How about too many… and for what end? Was he trying some wicked experiment on them in vain?”
“I-I don’t think so. This was back at Fairy Tail’s earlier, Council-favored days… although, me and Mura never got to meet this Kiku, I believe.”
“Hmh… these all look like beaten-up pedestrians to me. Maybe previous enemies that Kiku wanted some more freedom with?”
“The rest of the guild should get to know about this place, since it’s not closed down like many other cells. Maybe they already know, maybe Kiku made it official, maybe he just forgot to close it; t-this place is just weird, Mura, let’s just go to another room… I don’t get the best vibes from these dead bodies. Their souls escaped a long time ago, and yet their flesh is still preserved as if they died yesterday…”

“… They do store something else, though,” Mura explained. He should teach Kyuken and Zirconis how to sense magic - or maybe Zirconis already knew - but these stored bodies slowly absorbed Ethernano into themselves, somehow. It was a very slow phase, however, but they had built up *A LOT*. That was crazy… and just the same thing that the Heero statue did. What had Kiku created?

Mura didn’t get to lay a hand on the crystals before the guild’s bartender had escaped the elevator and called his name: “Master! You’re needed outside of the guild hall,” he informed the shaman who had turned around to meet the bartender’s look. With a quick nod, Mura decided to postpone his exploration down here and rushed up through the elevator alongside the bartender.

“Did L- I mean, did the tall, old swordsman ask you to-“
“I know that it’s Sir Dragonbane, Master. Your exclamation was quite loud, actually…”
    “… Oh-“
“D-Don’t worry, I haven’t told anyone. He must’ve had a good reason to show up in his own guild hooded and nameless.”
“… Okay, please continue with that.”

When Mura finally arrived at the guild hall, he lowered himself a little and reached the door in one, quick leap. It was almost completely linear, the jump that was, and he effortlessly phased through the gate and arrived outside where old man Leonard waited for him. It was a good idea for Mura to wear his set of equipment at all times; his Onmyōji Gaitō above his Toad Sage Gi with magical properties, his WristLac, and his favorite weapons - Harusame and Futsu no Mitama no Tsurugi. Once when he was outside, he noticed the change in the sky above him and felt a pressure press him down. The thunderbolts almost grabbed his attention from the sky’s unusual nuance, and it was as if gravity was a bit strange today…

Leo was also out here, seemingly waiting for Mura to show up. Mura leapt up slowly, almost soaring upwards, and patted Leonard’s shoulder to announce his presence. “It’s me. Uh… I don’t know if you can see it, but I can feel it. There’s something very large coming down. Is this about it?”

Meteor [Job: Sir Leonard and Mura Kensho] Empty Re: Meteor [Job: Sir Leonard and Mura Kensho]

Leo simply stood still as he waited for Mura to arrive outside of the Guild Hall as he instructed the employee to tell him to do so. His head down and his eyes closed as he breathes deeply. Inhale... Exhale... The air the goes through him enlarges and relaxes his lungs as if in meditation while the weather grows slowly worse with each passing second. Could his current actions be a reflection of what is to come? Can he sense, or even imagine, the meteor headed down to Earthland at this very instant? The answer is yes. Yes, he could imagine the raging, flaming, massive boulder that is about to exterminate that is good in this world, and he simply will not have it. Not when he has confronted his evils and is trying to set things right, especially his daughter. Yes. This threat must be eliminated quickly and with extreme prejudice, and though his thoughts are raging with anger for whomever is behind this, Leo appears calm and he must be. For he cannot afford to loose himself to anger or they will never be able to get this job done properly, basically, there can be... consequences.

He continues to stand perfectly still as his robe is being brought to life by swinging with the wind as it blows through the area giving a chilling breeze as the sky's color becomes more unnatural and at the same time, streams of black energy, with hints of violet, escape his body, flowing with the wind, dispersing a few seconds after leaving his body. That is the color of his power now, completely different from the calm white and light blue streaks from his younger days. How it came to this, only Leo knows how this came to be while on his journey wandering Earthland for another thing that only Leo knows.  This time, his thoughts are filled with different things. In his mind, there is nothing he can see, only a sound. The sound a blade makes when it is grinding against whetstone. This is his way of preparing mentally, physically, and magically for the coming storm, as the grinding sounds signify the sharpening of his spells weapons within his pocket space, the sharpening of his wit, and the sharpening of his determination to end the culprit's life without drawing from his emotion.

He opened his eyes as soon as he felt a tap on his left shoulder that was followed by the sounds of Mura's voice, announcing, telling Leo that he was already there, and asking if the reason for him to call out the Guild Master outside. Leo turned his head to left and placed his hands behind him, holding each other. Letting out a soft, slow, gentle sigh before replying Yes, Mura this is indeed about the giant meteor that is about to kill us all." Turning his head back to the front and looking up to the sky's unnatural state, he gave the heavens a fierce a look as he continued to speak "Primarily.... It's going to kill Fairy Tail...." the hands behind him held each other tighter and the mere thought of Fairy Tail ending. He can see flashes of past events in his mind. Kardia Cathedral falling from the sky as it burns, mages of his family lay on the ground bloody and lifeless, blood desecrating the sacred mark that is his guild's crest. No he will not have it. For now, there are more reasons to defend his family. ".... No... Fairy Tail must stand. The legacy must live on. Because now..." he looks down as his thoughts changed. Now it is filled with the memories of his children who were heroes and heroines in their own right that came from Fairy Tail. And the face of his own daughter smiling radiantly like the light bringer she decided she wanted to be. "... I have returned, swearing to defend my family. Because my daughter wants to have a Fairy Tail to live in."

A quick and loud sigh brings Leo out of his thoughts and into reality, he raised his head up and began to notice more changes to the atmosphere as the phenomenon which was actually their own death nears its completion with its arrival, and the composition of their requiem. Yes, back to the reality of imminent doom as thunder continues to rumble in the distance. Clouds began to appear dark as if a storm is brewing, this is no doubt another consequence of the further tampering with the natural order of space, making Leo even more determined to destroy them all. "Now then, it's a long ride to Era and a wagon will simply slow us down. So here's what we're gonna do." he remarked as took a few steps forward and began to whistle to the wind. A soft tune as if coming from a flute escaped his lips as he used it to call out Lenny's friend, Patchy.

Patchy came running towards them as his galloping can be heard in the distance coming from behind them. Patchy is a wonderful horse a grey horse with a black mane and tail. Like Lenny, Patchy is also a Thoroughbred breed of horse, one of the fastest there is, and Leo was glad that he was able to find them.

Once Patchy has reached the front of the guild near them, Leo approached the gentle steed and placed his palm and head upon the animal's head, there is clearly a bond between the two living beings for the horse to be ok with what Leo had just done and not move. Afterwards, Leo turned around and approached the post where Lenny's reins were tied to. On the post's base was another saddle which Leo picked up and fastened it tightly on Patchy. "We better get a move on. And in this set up, we'll be able to reach Era in no time. You do know how to ride right?" Leo asked Mura while he was mounting Lenny. And when he was securely on Lenny, the horse raised its two front legs to the air flailing them about and neighing stopping only a few seconds after.
