Star Breakfast with a Blonde [Open to Guildmates]

    Post by Haru-senpai 11th July 2016, 8:36 am

Hera sat across from her Exceed, Rose.

Two plates of steaming hot breakfast in front of them. Amongst the new Guild Hall, built in a mini-town amongst 3 gigantic trees with the "Fairy Tail" sign hanging in front of the town, there were seemingly thousands of Will-O-Wisps floating around the town, and even some floating around the hall itself.

As the two sat; Rose already was digging in but stopped; as she noticed Hera just spinning her fork on her plate, blanking out.

"What's wrong this time?" Rose said, one of her ears twitching in annoyance.

"Oh it's....nothing, I just haven't really gotten to go out an explore this place yet...."

"All that pouting is cause you haven't gotten to take a damn walk?" Rose literally made "-____-" this face at Hera as the blonde Dragon Slayer huffed her cheeks up and looked to the side pouting instead of responding.

Finally Julius made it... *sigh* Julius said. Oi Julius-kun! Cheer up a bit! You still have get used to the change of scenery! Squable said trying to cheer Julius up. *sigh* You're right Squable... Julius just has to get used to it that's all... It has been a while since Fairy Tail got changed into dark guild by the magic council. Fairy Tail and it's members got shooed away by the residents of Magnolia and they were forced to move their guild hall.

Julius noticed a blond girl talking to Rose, a exceed of their former guild master Heero. It was his daughter Hera she looked a bit bored. Julius collected all his energy and changed from a downer to his usual more happy self. Hi Hera-chan! How are you doing?

It had been awhile since he'd been to the Guild Hall. Too long actually. Blue had gotten into a funk a few months back and decided he needed to get out of town. Never told anyone what he was doing. Didn't even say goodbye. He just...left. Lucky came along of course, but even he didn't know what his companion had in mind. For awhile it was just the two of them. Exactly how it was before he joined Fairy Tail...

But eventually the youth made his way back to Magnolia Town, like he always did. A sour look gripped his face as he marched back home. Either he didn't find what he was looking for, or he did, and wasn't very happy about it. But there would be time to reflect on that later. For now they had to get home. It was time to head back to the Guild Hall and- "...?!" an audible gasp escaped the boys mouth as he stared at the space where Fairy Tail used to stand. His Exceed partner was just as shocked, and looked to the stunned Mage with a worried look on his face and tears welling up in his eyes. "Blue..." They couldn't believe it. It was like their worst nightmare had come true. Was the Guild really gone?

    A week later...

Here they were. It had been a grueling journey...but they finally made it. Conveniently, a resident of Magnolia who was still holding out hope for Fairy Tail and its Mages caught Blue and Lucky, and told him where his Guildmates had gone. There wasn't enough time to explain what had happened though, and apparently it was dangerous for him to hang around town. So after pointing him in the right direction, the man sent the duo on their way. To Tetsukazu.

As you can imagine, it was not easy getting there. But once Blue set his mind to something, there was no stopping him. Lucky too! The land was not forgiving, and the duo braved countless dangers on their way to the new Guild Hall. Battling creatures, defeating some, fleeing from others. But it had all been worth it. Because now they here, battered and weary...but here. They might've been among the treetops this time, but it was almost like a mirror to the day he first came to Magnolia in search of the infamous Fairy Tail Guild. They stood before the large doors to the Hall. No matter how different they looked they still seemed larger than life. A hand reached out and pressed against one of the doors, pushing it open slowly...

    They were home.

But it wasn't exactly a happy reunion. Blue was covered from head-to-toe in scratches and bruises, and his shirt and shorts were ripped. Apparently he lost his sandals on the way here too because his feet were bare, and looked to be bleeding. Lucky's fur was shaggy and he too seemed to have suffered some damage. But they weren't nursing their wounds. They didn't even look like they noticed them. Not because they didn't...but because they had more important things to worry about than their health. The duo entered the Hall, looking around in search of familiar faces. Luckily? They found one. Julius, a friend of theirs, was talking to a blonde-haired girl who also had an Exceed. They approached, but Lucky didn't have his usual smile and Blue didn't seem his normal over-confident self. They both looked...somber. And if you knew these two at all, that meant something was seriously wrong. "Julius..." Blue began, his words even and almost sad in their tone. "...what happened?" Lucky didn't even speak, just stood next to his partner with a sad look on his face and waited for an explanation. What had they missed?

As Julius joined her for breakfast in the Guild, one of the waitresses brought him a plate of pancakes and eggs, complete with bacon and steak as well. Leaning and twirling her fork, she just stared at her plate rather than look at Mura or Rose who bothed asked her what was up.

"Oh it's nothing....I just...grew up in Magnolia, and now no matter how much I wander around this place....I'll never see it." Hera complained as she spun her fork. Rose would raise an eyebrow as her tail went stiff.

"Hm, the Hera I know would never back down at the chance to experience wonders from a star in the sky......I mean, that's what Tetsukazu was all the while we were on Earthland if you think about it." Rose said looking down at her plate. Which had only a single muffin on it. "Look if anyone misses the memories we all shared in Magnolia...it's me." Rose saw an image of Heero with an orange cat, Garfield before they would disappear as she blinked herself back to the present. "Your father would have loved this place..." as Rose said this, Hera's fork stopped spinning as she looked up, taken abcack at the mention of Heero but then leaning back and thinking about it, putting a hand on her chin.

Before anything else could happen, a guy around her age, eighteen came in. He looked, reaaaalllly busted up, enough so that Hera would be concerned. As he walked right up to the table with an Exceed in towe, Rose would swish her tail and immediately see Lucky, recalling him from the days when Heero was around, hopping down she would run up to Lucky and hug him. Asking where they'd been, and a hundred questions Exceed to Exceed.

Hera would merely stare at Blues, she'd seen him before. When she was just a small child, as Heero and Alyia's daughter she knew all of the guildmembers in the back of her mind. Before Heero had sent her through the Wakusei Portals with Eris, she was only a 7 year old girl. But she remembered this guy's Ice Magic well. Since time flowed differently through the portals, she'd aged rapidly, but she'd take her time with the guy since he seemed super worn down.

Looking from the side at the breakfast table with a sweatdrop over her head, she'd talk eventually.

"Well if you knew my father...Heero, he went and got himself killed...or hurt beyond repair in a battle with Acnologia. Shuhei tried to help him, but he ended up just being stuck in Dragon Form like Acnologia himself....he flew off as a white Dragon they say after that battle." Hera would look up at the young man, inspecting him for a second, and then talking to her guildmate once more. "You've been gone awhile.....my Father is Lumen Histoire now, frozen forever in a crystal room. Or so they say." Hera shrugged, leaning back and sipping her coffee in silence for another five minutes.

Mostly for now, she'd remain awkwardy quiet, after bringing Blues up to speed. The Council had branded them a Dark Guild, so he could do plenty of figuring out for himself. After her Dad's passing, the world pretty much spiraled into chaos on Earthland, there wasn't much more to say about it.

"Well...where have you and Blues been huh?" Rose would swish her tail, smiling at the two of them as she took a bite of her muffin. "Make sure to eat something Lucky...you're home...take a deep breath." she would wink and flirt with the other Exceed. "YOU TOO JULIUS! Even pirates need to eat you know...." Rose said, smacking Julius on the head with a spoon playfully as Hera grinned.

As the Mage/cat duo waited for a response from Julius the blonde-haired woman seated beside him chimed in, explaining some (but not all) of the recent events that had affected Fairy Tail. It was grim news indeed...and after hearing her speak, all he could do was stand there. Shocked. "Heero's...dead?" the boy muttered to himself, more thinking aloud than anything. That wasn't possible! Heero was probably the strongest Mage he knew...there was no way he'd just run off and die. He had no clue who this 'Acnologia' was...but if he gleamed anything from her explanation it was that that he was extremely dangerous. And he'd only met Shuhei once, but from that single meeting the young Ice-Make Mage could tell he was immensely powerful. So if this thing killed Heero and fought Shuhei to a stalemate...

...then Acnologia must've been just about the most fearsome beast that's ever lived.

Lucky appreciated Rose's embrace, and weakly hugged the female Exceed back. But before he could tell her anything he heard the blonde-haired woman's story. He looked to his partner, tears once again welling up in his eyes. The black Exceed had always been fond of Heero...and he knew that Blue secretly was too. They might've bickered and fought...and Blue would certainly never admit that he liked the older Mage...but Lucky knew. He always knew. Ever since he joined Fairy Tail Blue had admired and looked up to the Dragon Slayer. It had been awhile since Blue lost his own Dragon Slayer Magic...but he never stopped searching for Glacieyth. And he'd even thought about asking Heero to help him find him...but it looked like now that was never going to happ- "No." Blue said, looking to the blonde-haired woman. "Blue?" his Exceed asked, but was ignored as the boy brought his fist down on the table, rattling the plates of food and any drinks that were resting on it. "There's no way that bastard got himself killed!" Not exactly uh...the most sensitive way to talk about the subject..but then again it was Blue talking. But if they were paying attention, they'd notice he wasn't trying to be an ass. He sincerely believed it. "He's too hardheaded to die." A faint smirk had formed on the kid's face, signifying that at least some of that fire inside of him had come back. He slid his hand off the table, letting it fall back down to his side as he stood upright once again. "Heero'll be back some day..." he spoke, looking around to Lucky, Rose, and Julius.

    "...I know it."

It was a nice speech, but only time would tell if his instincts were right. In the meantime though, something else clicked in his head. The woman's explanation. She kept referring to Heero in a manner that baffled him. The ladies were always going on about Heero and how "handsome" and "tall" he was...but surely this woman wasn't so infatuated with him that she was calling him fathe- "....wait." Blue began, his voice trailing off as he hunched over and stared at the woman seated before him. He blinked once. Then twice. Then three times (for good measure). Surely this couldn't be... "HERA?!?!" The little girl he'd seen around the Guild Hall from time-to-time?! WAS HEERO'S DAUGHTER? Blue was visibly taken aback, his left eye twitching as the revelation hit him like a freight train. He quickly snapped out of it however, giving a small cough and shaking his head in a vain attempt to "keep his cool". His eyes drifted to her forehead and a sweatdrop formed on the back of his head as he did some mental math. "You got...bigger." Smooth right? Sure she was sitting right now...but if she stood up? She'd be taller than him.

"WHY IS EVERYONE AND THEIR DAUGHTER TALLER THAN ME?!" Blue thought to himself as he facepalmed and sighed in frustration. He'd grown a few inches since he joined Fairy Tail...but only a FEW. At his full height he stood at a whopping 5'2". Impressive, I know. But now wasn't the time for self pity! There'd be plenty of that later. Blue (mostly) regained his composure and thought back to what Hera had just said. As studious as he'd become after he taught himself Ice-Make Magic, there was still a lot of things he didn't know about. Acnologia. The existence of portals like the one that took him to Tetsukazu. And that last thing she mentioned..."Lumen Histoire...what exactly is it?" She said it WAS Heero...but the young Ice-Make Mage didn't quite understand. There had to be more to it than that. As for Lucky, Rose was still grilling him for their whereabouts. The shaggy Exceed gestured towards Blue as he began explaining. "Well me and Blue left to look for-..." he started to explain, but stopped shortly after. Their search was a personal one...and if Blue didn't want them to know, he wouldn't just blurt it out. Lucky looked to his partner, who met his gaze and nodded towards him. "It's okay, Luck. You can tell them." The Exceed nodded before turning back to Rose. "Glacieyth. Blue's dad." The young Mage might've lost his Dragon Slayer Magic, but that didn't change the fact that he'd been raised by a Dragon. And that his father was still out there. Somewhere.

A slight frown developed on Blue's face at the mention of Glacieyth. See, the boy wasn't out searching for his dad in hopes of a happy reunion. No. He'd decided a long time ago that when he found him he was gonna punch him right in his stupid, scaly face for abandoning him all those years ago. The subject of his adoptive father was a sore one...and one he didn't talk about often. Lucky was surprised he let him tell anyone about it all. But after refusing to talk about it for so long...part of him was kinda glad Blue had let someone else know, even if it was just these guys. There was time to brood over that later though, because as soon as Rose mentioned food, both Blue and Lucky's stomachs growled loudly, seemingly in unison. They hadn't eaten since they'd left Magnolia...

...so a mountain of food sounded REALLY good right about now!
