A new life, a new home (Introduction post, Open to FT Members)

The sun was beginning to rise over the spiraling buildings of Magnolia Town, the place that Mitsuo Takahashi had told himself without any shadow of a doubt that he would be accepted. He was a little bit nervous about where he was going, as it was a guild that had a bit of a reputation, and that reputation made Wizards from across the continent flock towards it. He had heard stories of the great heroes who once served under the Fairy Tail flag and sported their symbol and he was excited and nervous thinking about the possibilities that would be ahead of him. As he eagerly made his way towards the center of town his heart began to race, not entirely sure he was ready to face the people in this strange and wonderful new place. Wind began to rip through his messy blonde hair and his orange and black coat, which was whipping behind him as he broke into a run up the hill for the last stretch of the walk, the iron gates to the compound now in his view. There was sweat glistening down his face and lean body, visible under the black mesh shirt he wore beneath his coat, and as he ran he felt wind rush past his whiskers on either side of his face. His heart began to feel like it was going to tear through his chest at this point, his anxiety beginning to kick in as he did his absolute best to push that down and not let it get the better of him. He gripped the necklace that he wore around his neck, an heirloom from his mother that always calmed him a little, and made his way through the gates towards the large doors into the compound.

The building was a massive structure unlike anything he had seen before, having grown up in a small village where there were no truly impressive structures. The stone work looked new, as though it had been constantly changed or perhaps repaired, and the brasswork elsewhere was quite impressive. As he steeled himself for what was to come he took one look back at the town, specifically to the entrance, and smiled softly, knowing that he would be leaving his old life behind and starting anew with Fairy Tail. He hoped that he would make new friends in the days to come and wanted nothing more than to be a boon to the guild. He looked towards the large Fairy Tail symbol once more high on the building before taking one last deep breath and taking the plunge, opening the door towards the guild hall and taking his first steps into the place that would become a home for him for a long time. He walked into the doorway a few steps and said in a soft voice, which he had to project over the regular guild noise; “H-hello.. I’ve come to t-try to join Fairy Tail…”

Oh no I hope they’re not judging me right now.. I must have sounded so weak..

Julius was sitting the guild hall as usual wearing his blue pirate coat with the Fairy Tail crest printed on it's back and looked through the guild. For some reason it's more peaceful here why is it? Maybe it's because Squable isn't here. Julius didn't know where Squable was. *Sqauck* Oi Julius-kun there you are! I was just flying over Magnolia it's a really pretty town! The lady birds aren't as bad as I thought they would be I saw this very cute bird with some feathers you had to see it for yourself Julius-kun! As Squable kept talking about the birds off Magnolia Julius couldn't help but to facepalm. Oh lord...

As Julius kept his hand on his face and listened to Squable's stories about the birds off Magnolia he heard the guild doors creek open. Julius looked a bit up and saw a blond boy walking inside. Julius noticed he was very nervous since he was holding a necklace off some sorts. Julius saw that his mouth was moving but couldn't hear anything coming out off it. A new member! Julius thought. Julius stood up and ran towards the newcomer. Oi Julius-kun! Where are you going?! I'm not finished talking! As Julius was at the guild's entrance he grabbed the newcomers hands and shook them up and down very fast. Hi my name is Julius Seas! What is your name?! Where do you come from?! What kind off magic do you use?! Julius uses water magic! Squable finally caught up to Julius and landed on his right shoulder *sigh* I thought he would have learned his lesson after what happend when he introduced himself to Aliya and Magnus... Anyway I'm Squable nice to meet ya!

It didn't take long after he had walked through the doors of the Fairy Tail guild for Mitsuo to be greeted, quite emphatically, by a young water wizard named Julius. As he took Mitsuo's hand and shook it up and down Mitsuo could do very little to stop him and decided to simply go with it. He chuckled softly as the parrot named Squable introduced himself to Mitsuo as well, causing him to give a slightly surprised look, but only for a second. He took a second to look around and saw the people inside of the hall as he began to answer, stuttering slightly as he tried. "O-oh uh...My name is..." He didn't get far through his sentance, which to be fair he wasn't too upset about as he was having trouble forming words at that point, when a red exceed flew towards him with a stamp, causing Mitsuo to recoil slightly but not to jump back. The exceed stamped the back of his right hand, causing it to glow with a bright light, something that Mitsuo knew was a test. If the mark took to him it meant that he would become a Fairy Tail wizard, and he was extremely worried that it wouldn't take.

As the light shimmered a man who Mitsuo knew in reputation, if nothing else, walked up to him. He was around the same height and build as Mitsuo, his eyes and hair a matching sky blue and his presance unmistakable. Mitsuo knew instantly that this was the guildmaster of Fairy Tail, the Gold Salamander Heero Reyold. He had heard stories of this man, and he was of the main reasons that Mitsuo had decided to seek out Fairy Tail instead of Lamia Scale or Blue Pegasus, both of which were near his home. As the light disappeared Mitsuo's anxieties about the guild would disappear with it, seeing the cyan colored guild mark on the top of his hand. He nearly gasped as it finished, smiling deeply as the guildmaster took his hand and introduced himself, Mitsuo returning the shake confidently and responding to the guild master in turn.

"My name is Mitsuo, Mitsuo Takahashi." He turned towards Julius, whom had addressed him first and responded to one of his questions. "And I use maker magic." He smiled and winked before turning back to the guildmaster. "I was born and grew up in Hargeon Town with my family. I miss them... but I know they'd be proud of me if they knew where I was right now." As Heero continued to speak with him, Mitsuo's smile didn't leave his face, hearing the words that he had wanted to hear as he was told that Fairy Tail, the guild he dreamed of joining one day, were his new family. When he was asked to walk with Heero, he did so without hesitation, making his way through the crowd of people, which made him much less uneasy than he was used too, though he was still nervous around crowds. As he listened to Heero's words he took each of them to heart. He listened to a father talk lovingly about his baby, a sculptor speak of his creations, a leader speak of his flock.

"I am absolutely up to it. I will proudly wear this guild mark, and I will represent Fairy Tail as well as I can." He was beaming again, not able to hide his emotion as they spoke. "I will do my best.." He looked down at the guild mark on his hand once more and continued to smile, his face actually getting sore as he wasn't used to this kind of reaction.
