Zecarayus only nodded at what apollo said, this vulcan was the enemy and they had too work to put it down or kill it...Really zecarayus had the idea of killing it since he did not see it very good to leave it alive. Whether apollo agreed or not to could have been argued afterwards. The huge beast charged apollo, in which zecarayus had to move, not to abandon his guild mate but to get a better angle in which he could strike the creature. Zecarayus watched as apollo launched the brute back with some kind of energy blast, and zecarayus took this chance to cast his own bolts at the ape.

Except when he swung out his arms, nothing came out. Zecarayus was startled by his failed attempt at the spell cast, and the vulcan now having time to recuperate, proceeded to grow two red barrels in its massive palms and launched the two barrels again, this time though the barrels would have exploded with napalm, setting fire to the jungle surroundings around the two mages upon explosion. Zecarayus could have only reacted by using spirit dash, suddenly disappearing from where he was before the napalm blew to only reappear behind the area of the vulcan. The vulcan with his injured leg, smiled at his revenge against the mages, and only watched to see if he caught movement in the blaze he caused. Zecarayus took this opportunity to figure out why his spell cast failed, he had been able to use his spirit dash but not his bolts. He thought for a moment for that was all he had, as the vulcan had picked up the necromancers scent and would have leaped at zecarayus, using the power in it's uninjured leg to launch itself forward.

Zecarayus seeing this, had to act or get smashed, and decided to try an alternative source for his bolts. He did the same way, swinging both arms and this time the bolts came out, hitting the vulcan straight on the chest. The only way the cast worked this time was because rather then using the energies of the spirits, he had used his own negative energy. In fact it had worked better because the vulcan fouled up its landing and tumbled passed where zecarayus was standing. It would have though broken a branch from a nearby tree and flung it at zecarayus. Zecarayus couldn't have jumped out of the way in time and instead had to cross his arms in front of him bracing for the impact and it would have floored zecarayus on impact. The vulcan would then had broken another branch off, determined to beat zecarayus with it or threw it with the same force if needed.

Apollo looked as Zecarayus tried to cast his spell but it failed to go off.  Apollo looked at him in shock as he then looked towards the Vulcan who had recovered by now.  He saw it make two barrels out of it's hands.  he then threw them around into the forest setting it ablaze.  As they exploded it made a rather loud sound.  Apollo shook his head That noise would surly attract attention from nearby crew members.  He looked at the Vulcan who leaped past him with great speed  how did it..." he though quickly as he aimed at the Vulcan.  He couldn't see it but it then got hit with a spell It would appear Zecarayus magic worked again.  Apollo had no idea why it didn't work airliner but it seemed to be working now but then Apollo saw the Vulcan grab on to two branches as it landed it threw one at Zecarayus an then proceeded to charge Zecarayus with the other one. Apollo saw Zecarayus brace himself in no position to dodge the incoming attack.  Apollo looked at him then the vulcan his thoughts flashing for a moment and a more protective instinct coming into effect as he  prepared himself.

He held out a had looking at Zecarayus not wanting his guildmates to get hurt after all if he allowed this what kind of shield mage would he be.  "Trinty shield Dome formation" he called out making a dome Appear around Zearayus blocking the branch that was fling at him with ease. then the Vulcan swung the branch into Apollo's shield but the branch shattered on impact Apollo then while the Vulcan was distracted aimed his gun at the Vulcans head "Promotion to knight!"  he called spinning the barrel he then fired two rounds hitting him in the head both times his bullets being blunt made it so it wouldn't kill him but it fell over defeated.  He ran over to Zecarayus.  "Hey are you ok..." he said looking at him and then the downed Vulcan.  He then looked at the fire grabbing his wrist he used his free forming shield to part the flames in front of him and pulled him out with him.  "Sorry not a fan of fire..." he chuckled then looked at him "come on we got treasure to find" he nodded.

'Monster Dice' :

Zecarayus had braced himself for the impact...and yet it did not come. Instead he heard the sound of the stick impacting what sounded like a wall. When he looked up he realized what it was, another barrier, in which he realized apollo set up in the nick of time. Zecarayus saw then the vulcan attack apollo, in which he successfully fended off the attack and retaliated by shooting the vulcan in the head. Zecarayus though was surprised that he did not see any blood or fleshy bits and was curious in why. Apollo ran over to make sure he was ok, but realized the fire was surrounding them. Zecarayus could have managed the flames easy enough, but he was not sure about apollo. However their was no need as apollo made barriers to navigate through the blaze, in which they left the fallen vulcan to an uncertain fate.

"Hey, its too hot anyways to be around a fire." he said to apollo after their were out of the fire. All though, he still wanted to know if the vulcan was truly dead or not. But perhaps it did not matter, if they didn't finish it, then the fires would. Speaking of the fire, it had filled the air above with smoke, making a clear sign for anyone to go to it. But for now the two would have left it behind as they followed the map to the treasure. Down the path, zecarayus had thought about what he did, using negative energy. It bothered him because he knew what negative energy was tied too, death or the degradation of life. It did help though, and by the looks of it he would have to use that since, for whatever reason, he could not gather enough spiritual energy for even the most basic of his spells. But he did remember a consequence to using it too much, and decided to try and not think about that.

Instead he tried to start conversation, perhaps that would be best to take his mind off of his magic, but their was no need too. The reason because as they had made their way through the jungle zecarayus would have been interrupted as he would have stumbled upon what appeared to be..a giant mushroom? And the giant mushroom would have rose a few feet up to the mages waists as it was revealed to be some sort of midget. "Hey whats the big idea tripping on me?!" the midget demanded, and had a spear as long as him in his arms ready to attack if the need arose. "Sorry! I didn't see you cause you were so short-" The mushroom man seemed to grow enraged at being called short. "WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!" "Oi whats the problem sho?" another mushroom man's voice called out, only a few feet away. "THESE TWO BASTARDS CALLED ME SHORT!" "THEY WHAT?! HEY SHUN AND TZA, WE GOT BASTARDS HERE CALLING US SHORT!" the other one yelled out. Sure enough, two more mushroom men came from the brush with spears and anger for being called short, even though zecarayus did not mean it. They all started to gather with their spears and would have began to assault the duo.

Zecarayus would have responded to the rallying cry of the mushroom men by pulling out a smoke bomb from his fanny pack, in which by the time the mushroom men came at them he threw it down in front of him and apollo. Instantly smoke filled up the area around them, and the mushroom men were stopped as they tried to deal with the sudden smoke. This included zecarayus, as he had no idea on what a smoke bomb was until now, and coughed as he himself tried to deal with the sudden smoke. Further away near a stream, two hammer brothers had enjoyed the water of the stream until they heard the commotion. Upon hearing it, they would have gathered their hammers and began to head to the area of it.

Apollo groaned as the mushroom men gathered around them he looked around "what a predicament they were in.  as the mushroom men surrounded them. Then he looked around him then look at Zecarayus "you just had to call him short didn't you.." he sighed. "NOW HE IS SAYING IT ARRRRGH!"  one of them yelled loudly. Apollo groaned these guy's were wound up tight and way to hot headed.  Apollo groaned at the situation.  The problem here was he could easily take them out but if he moved they would rush them.  He needed to wait and find a opening and then take a shot.  He then saw Zecarayus fiddling with his fanny pack but not making it obivouse.  He then started to memorize where they were standing thinking he had something planned. He then saw Zecarayus throw a smoke bomb to the ground surrounding the area in smoke creating a loud noise when he threw it.  As smoke canvased the area He then knew it was time to strike.  He then shot the ground calling out his ricochet bullet shot as he fired where on of the mushroom men were.  As the bullet flew and hit him it immediately bounced around hitting another one.  After he shot he made a shield and around Zecarayus face so he could breath comfortably.  the bullet then bounced to the third guy knocking them all out. Then as the smoke cleared after a while he looked at Zecarayus. "hey you alright?"  he asked looking at him then the knocked out men.  "good call on the smoke bomb by the way very cleaver" he nodded at him in approval.  He looked at Zecarayus he couldn't place but there was more to him that met the eye but for now they had to go get more treasure,  As he looked at Zecarayus he didn't know then but the men with the hammers were closing in and there next challenge was going to be something else.

Zecarayus continued to cough, Should have asked what it did before you bought it... You really think now's a good time to bring this up? he argued with himself, it was as much as he could do while coughing. He then noticed the air beginning to clear up, and noticed the shield around his face, filtering the air he was breathing in(cause magic protection/filtration). He started to focus again and realized that apollo set up the  shield for him, and he managed to take out the three mushroom men. But zecarayus was concerned as after the smoke cleared he noticed the mushroom men were still alive. His thoughts were interrupted by apollo who spoke to him, "Uh yeah, I think next time il ask though what a smokebomb does heheh.." he replied, finishing with a nervous laugh. He then caught the glimmer of metal in the direction coming from behind apollo. "Apollo!" zecarayus shouted as a warning, then  clenched his fist in the direction of the two hammer brothers, causing a soulplosion of dark energy to result, stopping the hammer brothers and causing the nearby greenery to wither and blacken. The hammer brothers, figuring they were too close, started to retreat further back. "Their not going anywhere." he said aloud as he held out his open hand, and quickly bones formed into a skeletal bird and sent if off after the retreating hammer brothers.

The hammer brothers after retreating some feet turned around ready to strike the duo. They were instead met with a undead bird flying at them. They then watched as it suddenly pulsed with energy, causing a explosion that delivered the same effects as the earlier one on a smaller but more devastating scale. After the spirit bomb exploded zecarayus went over to look at the two hammer brothers. It seemed he was able to knock them unconcsious, though the wounds they bore suggested they were not going to get up any time soon. Even with this knowledge though zecarayus rose a hand aimed at one of their heads, it looked like zecarayus wanted to kill them and in fact he did. However he started thinking, and it ruined whatever urge their was to kill them as he lowered his hand. Instead he looked ahead from where he was and noticed an opening, the sound of rushing water could be heard from it. "Hey apollo, I think their's a opening up ahead." he stated looking at him then back to the opening. He headed for it, assuming apollo would follow him through it, and would have arrived by a stream that further down it would lead them to a river. Zecarayus though went over to a pack that was left by it's side and began to rummage through it, pulling out various things while seeing if he or apollo could make use of any of it. This included; beef jerky, whiskey, hammer shine, a mushroom with a red white spotted cap with two black eyes that seemed to stare without blinking as if it was watching whatever it saw, and a scrolled up paper. Zecarayus stopped looking through the pack and looked over the paper as he unrolled it, revealing a different kind of map that zecarayus examined, seeing if the two could pull anything useful from it.

Apollo shook his head chuckling a little at him "Well it did exactly what I though a smoke bomb would do so I'm not to disappointed." He said looking at him curiously Then heard him shout his name which rang like bells as the two hammer bro's came out swinging at him. *damn off gaurd!*  he though to himself knowing his natural protection would soak some of it up but not all of it.  He was in a bad spot and it was only getting worse and worse.  Then he saw Zecarayus blast them with a magic attack of some sort.  As Apollo looked at the scenery around them he looked at the hammer bro's back up he then hear him cast a spell sending a skeleton bird thing at them which exploded and knocked them to the ground.  He then saw Zecarayus go over and hover above them.

Apollo could see it in Zecarayus eyes and his actions he wanted nothing more then to finish them off perminatly.  Apollo stood up watching him closely not saying a word,  this was a challenge and a decision he would have to make himself and he was determined not to get involved yet.  As he stared at him he then lowered his hand and Apollo gave a sigh and a nod.  No words needed to be said about this for his actions said more then anything.  Apollo then heard his say there was a clearing.  Apollo looked over then smiled nodding a little. "yeah good eye lets go see"  he said looking at him as they went through the brush to see a small river on the other side and all of there stuff.

As they went through the clearing he say there stuff by the river and then looked at Zecarayus.  "Let's see what we can Barrow form them,  Because stealing is wrong"  he said smiling a little making a jab at them being with a crew of pirates.  "but all jokes aside let's see what they have."  He said as they walked over and Zecarayus went through there pack.  A lot of it was junk he expected but then he pulled  a rolled up piece of paper he looked carefully at then he looked at him "looks like they have a different map let me see that" he said remembering reading a couple books.  he placed the maps side by side on the ground and started to compare them. "let see we cam from there and they docked there...crossed here that means got it. he then held out his hand in front of him making the tow maps appear as shields.  He then merged them into one map smiling pointing to a X he made  "we aren't far according to the maps and cross refraceing the location  it's there over that ridge"  He smiled letting Zecarayus see. "Lets get going" he nodded at him.

Zecarayus looked at apollo with a questioning look in response to his joke, uncertain if he was being serious or not. However after he admitted it was a joke zecarayus chuckled with a “yeah”, he was not always able to get humor. But still apollo wanted to look at the map and zecarayus handed it to him, and watched with curiosity when he put their map and the new one next to each other. He then saw apollo used his magic to created replicas of the maps, and then overlapped the replicas and created a new map of some kind. Zecarayus looked amazed at that, was his magic just making shields? Perhaps he would ask later as apollo pointed out where the treasure most likely was and wanted to head over to it. However zecarayus noticed something else, “Hold on for a moment apollo.” He requested of him as he looked at the newly formed map.

After inspecting marks on it, zecarayus sighed, “Well the ridge is not exactly desolate.” He started, then pointed at the marks that were more noticeable than before, depicting hammers. ”I think these are patrols...yeah because look here(points to red barrel icon). This is where they start and hammers go up from here, i’m willing to bet our barrel chugging friend was here.” He said referring to the large vulcan they fought in the fire earlier. “So if we try to go through the ridge, were either going to have to fight our way through or try to sneak past them.” He finished then thought to himself about what they could do. He finally made up his mind and put his hand over his heart, a shadowy aura appeared around zecarayus briefly as he grunted in pain, but it was done quickly and zecarayus looked at apollo. “I guess we should still make our way up to the ridge, but if we can find a way to avoid the patrols all together then that would be good.” He said, what he had just done was to give him more mana to work with in case they got caught in a bad spot again. He gathered up the items he pulled from the backpack and put them back in, not really trusting any of it to consume or use besides the map they already had a copy of. He then stood looking at the direction of the ridge, looking for something that might help them pass through the patrols or the patrols themselves, then back at apollo, "Let's go, i'm pretty sure the pirates won't be to keen on sharing if they find the treasure first." he said, willing to lead or follow apollo.

Apollo simply nodded as Zecarayus pointed out the patrols,  He was glad he noticed them before they went off and acted hastily. "yeah I agree that would be best" he said nodding his head in agreement.   Apollo was glad they were taking time to think regardless of the time restrictions they were under currently He then looked at the map then makes it small then smiles a little at the comment about the pirates not being to big on sharing the treasure with them. "yeah I suppose that they would be a little upset huh" he says back to Zecarayus "Let's get going" he says as he then looks down at the map one last time and then leads off with him and they start there search.As they walk he made sure to check the map frequently to make sure they were on track with there endevers collaborating with Zecarayus as they walked.  The sun beat down on them and Apollo sighed a little more.  The heat was absolutely murder on him since he was wearing a suit,  not that he regretted it of course.  Then as they got closer he looked at the ridge he stopped looking at the map. "Alright well here we are we either need to sneak around these guys or attack them if we attack them we should catch them off guard though it is your call I can do either, but regardless we are close." he said looking at them as they got to the ridge Apollo gestured to a tree line that they could hide in till they make a plan. As they got there he pulled the map up.  "Regardless of what we decide to  do we should stop and plan our moments carefully we don't want to end up in an ambush now."  he said looking at him wanting to see what his decision would be.

Zecarayus followed apollo through the jungle, while the heat did bother him something else did. He still could not sense other spirits around on the island. Sure he was able to still use his spells by tapping into his own negative emotions, but he knew too much of it would hurt later on...He continued to follow apollo until they come across a ridge in which two of those hammer brothers were below them, idling talking with each other not aware of the two above them. They took cover behind the tree and nodded at apollo's idea for making a plan. He went back and looked at the map, he looked at how spread apart the patrols were on it. He made a assumption about the distance, theoretically the patrols were far enough to where they were out of sight of each other. If that was the case, then if he and apollo were able to take out the two below quickly enough, then they could still sneak past the other patrols. Of course the question was how now...

Zecarayus while thinking laid on the tree they were hiding behind and felt it leaning back. Zecarayus got off quickly when he felt it and examined the base of the tree. It's base was loose and judging by how easily it was moved zecarayus assumed it would be easy to push off. He looked back below to where the two hammer brothers were, and realized if the tree fell then it would land on the both of them! Problem was they would most likely here the tree cracking and move out of the way, giving away himself and apollo. He thought some more and had a plan, "Apollo" he whispered to him, " Help me lean the tree over them." The two would have steadily leaned the tree over, careful not to make to much noise until it was at a angle to where one good shove would do it. Zecarayus then looked down to where they were at again, then threw out his hand, causing a spirit hazard to hit one of the brothers. The brother afflicted grabbed his head and began to murmur strange tongues while the other tried to ask what was wrong. With them so close zecarayus now pushed the tree over...except it did not. Quickly after his attempt he got back then charged the tree again, this time successfully sending the tree falling down...with zecarayus on it. In horror he watched as he fell with the tree, and gripped on the tree for dear life.

Their was a large crash, a sign the tree had landed. The good news was the plan had work and now the two had taken care of a patrol. Greater news was zecarayus merely flopped over from the top of the tree on the ground, alive, grinning, and giving apollo above a thumbs up. The bad news was the two did not know what they were originally standing on was a cave, which was inhabited with about four hammer brothers who were taking a break and playing cards. The tree landing had disrupted their game and caught their attention. And when they saw a hand came up, they got up with their hammers. From the top of the ridge to where the tree fell one could not have known there was a cave under them normally, and zecarayus did not either until he sat up and saw them in the cave. He ducked quickly as the barrage of flying hammers assaulted him and effectively pinned him down for the moment.

As they watched the pirates outside the cave patrol the front Apollo saw Zecarayus looking around then motion for him to help him.  As Apollo quietly went over he pointed at a loose tree in the ground.  He nodded going over to it getting ready to shove it over with him.  He waited for Zecarayus signal and then say him launch a spell.  At that poing Apollo shoved the tree with him.  what he failed to notice was that Zecarayus was near the top of the tree when it started to fall.  As he looked at him fall there was a crash and a very loud one at that.  As he raised his head to look over at him he saw him give him a thumbs up which  meant he wasn't dead which was a good thing all things considered.  As he got up he saw four hammer brothers Appered over the ridge.  Apollo simply then pulled out checkmate again sighing "Promotion to Queen"

As he promoted himself to queen he could feel his sense getting sharper as the magic flowed through his like a river of energy going through the air.  it was almost as if he was wearing glasses to make things look closer then they were.  At this point they were already throwing a lot hammers at Zecarayus and unless he acted he would hurt hurt a lot  As he then looked up he knew he had one shot he could make but then got a different Idea.  He say the ledge was about eight feet wide approximately.  He then fired a round in the air to distract them.  They briefly stopped to see Apollo standing there his gun pointed to the air as he looked at then then he put his hand out in a sweeping motion.  "Wave shield!" He called making his shield appear where they least expect it.  As they looked down expecting a shield to for his shied raised like a title wave to the right of them.  They all turned as the wave crashed into them sweeping them off there feet.  As it got to  the side of the cave entrance.  on they hit the side off the cave doing three ranks of B rank damage to them and knocking them out cold.

Apollo then got up running over to Zecarayus. "Hey are you alright?"  He asked looking down at him to make sure noting had happened to him while they threw there hammers.  It looked like the tree took the brunt of the damage from the hammers and there aim wasn't the best so it didn't matter to much in the long run.  They were defeated and Zecarayus looked ok for the most part.  He then offered Zecarayus a hand and gave a small nod.  "We aren't to much farther from the treasure so let's go get what we came for."  He said in a more uplifting tone.  It had been a while since he enjoyed a job this much.  this job tested him and it was a challenge he was happy to accept.

Wave Shield:

Zecarayus was not at all pleased at how he was pinned from the hammer brothers. Whats more he should have thought about what to do if caught in this situation. Now that he did think of it, he could disrupt then, and they were in a cave so maybe he could cause a cave in? However a shot rang out which caused the brothers to stop and come out of the cave, looking up at apollo. Zecarayus looked up to from his cover, though her then realized this was his time to strike while the brothers backs were turned. He cast out both of his arms, sending spirit bolts outward. But then zecarayus had to duck as they nearly were sent right back into his face. He was confused and looked at what may have caused it, then noticed the tidal wave that suddenly appeared between him and the brothers, sending the crashing waves into the brothers into the cave. Zecarayus was honestly confused, where did all that water come from? He then saw apollo rushing down to see if zecarayus was ok, in which he was most likely to luck. He took apollo's hand and asked him after he spoke with zecarayus, "Right but, did you create that wave just now? I mean-" but was cut off by a loud boom coming from farther right.

It caught zecarayus's attention and looked over to the source of the noise, "Apollo is that a cannonball?" he asked him, then another boom came from the left, closer then the last one but still away from them. Zecarayus then could hear something from where the cannonballs came from, shouting? He then realized, all that commotion did not go unnoticed, and that was more clear as hammer's started to land near the duo's feet, a sign that someone was running and throwing hammers toward them. Zecarayus then reacted rather then thought, something rare but his reactions felt sure and true. He grabbed apollo by the wrist and lead(or dragged) him to the mouth of the cave and into it as the hammers landed too close as they ran. Once in the cave the water left over from apollo's spell caused zecarayus to slip and slide down deeper into what looked like a  dark cavern, which at this point he would have let go of apollo. As zecarayus slid and tumbled into the depths the duo's pursuers were now in view. More of the hammer brothers and including the captain of the whole crew, captain blackstache. He smiled as he would have seen apollo and raised a hand into the air, glyphs formed in the air and spiraled until a giant cannon would have emerged from it, and captain blackstache would have lowered his arm at the cave entrance with a Italian accented yell "SUPREME CANNON FIRE!" The gigantic cannon ball would have been fired, burying itself into the top of the whole ridge. The impact however would have shook the whole cave, causing a cave in cutting out the light, leaving the duo in darkness.

Zecarayus had been dazed when he slid and fell down the sloped cavern, and was only shook awake by the cave shaking violently. He then saw as it quickly grew pitch black in the corridor, and started to feel around where he was. His hands felt something and zecarayus recognized it, bones. But then he felt up it and realized it was a hand...with a torch! He smiled in the dark and snapped his fingers near the opening of the torch, zecarayus was no pyromancer but he could still produce veil fire. And then it happened, the green flame lit from the torch. Zecarayus got up, sore from the tumble down, and looked up from where he had fallen. He could have seen now that he rolled down farther from the entrance, and looking forward of him he could see this went deeper. His mind however remembered apollo...did he make it? "Apollo? Apollo!" he called up to the entrance of the cave, from that distance the veil fire torch would have looked like a small lantern.

As Apollo fell he felt Zecarayus let go of his hand  as the cave shook more. he could tell how far he was falling or if Zecarayus was still with him or not everything was happening so fast he eventually make weak shields to start breaking his fall lessening the impact when he hit the bottom.  As he it what appeared to be he bottom for him he was in a dark daze an a pitch black area.  He took a deep breath feeling his back was in a lot of pain from the fall,  Right as he was about to call Zecarayus he saw a green light above him not to much farther up from a ledge ,  He then also heard someone calling his name,  it was defiantly Zecarayus which was a relief he was okay.  He then sat up and called back "Yeah i'm all right you okay?"  he called back looking up at him wondering how far they fell.  He could only assume the cave went father down.  he then took a rock and tossed it over a nearby ledge which he could see now from the dull light if the torch his guild mate has lit. He then listened for a few seconds eventually hearing it click against the bottom.  He then called back up to Zecarayus.  "Hey then bottom of the cave isn't to much further down I can help us get down using my shields also are you alright it's kinda hard to see you from down here"  He said with a tad voice of concern.  He didn't even know what was happening right now he simply made a ladder out of his shields and climbed up to check on him and regroup though he had to take it slow because of his back.

As he got up he looked at his guild mate and smiled seeing he was okay but they were surrounded by bones and skeletons.  Apollo sighed not wanting to be here he looked up hearing the cave vibrate and rumble still,  was Blackstache still firing his cannons.  As far as he could see the way out was blocked so there options were up and clear it or down and see whats down there could be a way out Apollo then looked at Zecarayus and looked him up and down. It looks like your okay for the most part are you hurt anywhere." He would as now that he was in a better position to help he then smiled a little.  "We got two options up which means we can go up and clear the blockage or i can use my shields and we can see if there is a back way out of this cave i'll follow you since i have to take it slow i hurt my back a little not enough to stop me it's just sore" he chuckled a little rubbing his neck he wanted to see what decision he would pick worst case senerio they couldn't go down and they cam back up.

Zecarayus nodded from apollo’s response and looked down into the new cavern the two were stuck in. He began to led the two down into it after deciding that to try to get through the front would be more trouble than it was worth. The veil fire torch lit the way as they traveled through the dark tunnels. The duo were met with gaps in the trail, and because of apollo’s shields the two were able to get past them. As the tunnels began to go upward zecarayus found out the reason why their were no spirits to be used on the island. This was because the two were met with a pile of bones big enough to cover the entire floor in front of them. With an ominous rattle, three skeletons reanimated and rose to meet them, wielding humongous and sharp bones as makeshift clubs and swords. Apollo drew his checkmate and zecarayus was ready with a spirit bolt in his free hand, and then the ground shook beneath them. The skeletons stood still themselves, then the ground beneath them erupted with a huged tusked creature, made up of black sludge and the bones of some monstourous creature. It ate the middle skeleton then with it’s jaws hooked on to the other two and dragged them as the thing burrowed upward to the roof of the cavern, revealing a serpent body made up of more bones. It must have been a minute before the thing was completely gone, leaving holes in the ground and ceiling of once where the skeletons were.

Apollo and zecarayus looked at each other, and hesitantly crossed over the hole on the ground, zecarayus keeping an eye below while apollo on the hole above. Fortunately the tusked serpant did not return for seconds, and the two made haste to get out of the caverns. A little time passed, zecarayus noticed something sticking out of the roof of the cavern. He stopped apollo and told him about it, and the two picked and cleaned at it before it began to look like the bottom of some sort of chest. The two grew excited, and they continued to excavate at it til one of the handles were exposed. Zecarayus grabbed at it and planned to pull the rest of the chest out. However something pulled at the chest upward and zecarayus was caught dragged upward to above ground after a few feet. He was hanging from the chest that the other end was attached to a makeshift crane in the middle of all the pirates! Who apparently just found the treasure. They were surprised at the hanging zecarayus, and the injured captain’s pet recognized him as the one who jumped him in the jungle earlier.

With this heard the pirates including their captain, blackstache, prepared to attack zecarayus while he was hanging in the air. Apollo hearing the great ape’s voice though thought fast and cast bonding armor on zecarayus, covering him in a knight like armor before he was hit with multiple attacks from all sides. The armor not only protected him from the flying hammers and spears, but sent them all back! Zecarayus had braced himself the whole time, and when he opened back his eyes he was amazed by how all the pirates were dazed. The armor though broke apart after that for it did take quite a beating from all those attacks, and zecarayus no longer caught by surprise cast a soulplosion into the crowd, creating an opening for him to swing and land. Once he did though, the ground above began to shake while below where apollo was at was shaking violently with something tunneling towards him underneath. Zecarayus felt a large presence of spirits and realized it was the skeletal tusked serpent the two encountered earlier. It was not exactly ideal since the pirates would be tough enough to face on their own, and with this it could not make the situation any better. However zecarayus thought of a plan, and putting both hands to the ground he focused hard on the arriving skeletal monstrosity. He then forced his influence over it, such a trait found in all necromancers that zecarayus was hesitant to use, though now it needed to happen. With his influence in it, he caused it to burrow upward on the ground into the pirates, in which they were not expecting such a monstrosity.

Underground apollo was wondering what the violent shaking was. Upon seeing the shine of bone apollo created barriers to climb upon to get out of the ground as quickly as possible. Upon getting halfway above the ground from the whole that was made by the pirates, apollo watched as the giant think went above ground and collided into the surprised pirates. He then saw the hanging treasure chest and realized this was their chance to get it and escape with it! He tugged on the chest causing it to fall from the strained crane on a platform he made, then dragged it to the ground. He called to zecarayus, who was still on the ground on his knees. Zecarayus was focused, listening to the spirits want to be free and wished to share their torment at the same time, and was brought out of it by apollo. He looked over and realized they had the chest in their hands! He rushed over and picked up one handle while apollo had the other and the two ran to a cliff to get a view of the ocean.

Zecarayus caught the sight of the ship, and pointed it out to apollo. Apollo saw it to and both started to wave with their free hands. Apollo then shot his flare spell upward as a makeshift flare to signal the ship. The ship caught the flare and turned, making its way toward the cliff. Relief went through the two, but then a large boom went off from behind them. Both looked, and saw that the captain used a very large cannon ball on the skeletal monstrosity, destroying it. The captain and what few crew remained then looked at the two and began running towards them, shouting they wanted their treasure back. The two had no where to run from where they were at except off, but apollo had a idea. He created a platform before them told zecarayus to move onto it, with which some hesitation zecrayus agreed to. With this the two began to move across the air slowly descending toward the arriving ship, apollo making platforms to help the two along the way. However it was slow moving as zecarayus was doing his best to control the rising fear in him, and a cannonball caused zecarayus to jump and slip, taking a fall of at least twenty feet before falling into the ocean.

Apollo saw zecarayus fall and dove in after, leaving the treasure chest on the makehift platform that the two were previously on. Zecarayus fell deep underwater, but recovered easily enough as he made his way up to the surface. Apollo dove under the water and resurfaced, swimming over to where zecarayus was to make sure he was ok. Zecarayus nodded, and turned to see the ship had arrived to where the two was. They climbed onto the ship using ropes and saw the captain, who zecarayus explained that the chest was still on the platform mid air. The captain nodded and moved his way to the front of the ship with a soaked zecarayus and apollo following him. The captain once at the front of the ship caused a glow from his hand, then a giant metal ramp shot out of it that came right under the platform, breaking it and causing the chest to slide down. However the captain nearly fell over before zecarayus caught him and helped support him. The chest landed with a heavy thunk on the deck of the ship, but the pirates were not done. Captain blackstache made a cannon gallery on the cliff and began to fire in the direction of the ship. Apollo used his barrier spells to block the cannon fire, buying time for the ship to get out of range and eventually escape from the pirates.

Once done, the ship and captain included were cheering about the success. Apollo and zecarayus looked at each other chuckling, both relieved that neither had holes or became food for some undead monstrosity. The captain himself opened the chest with a big swing of a hammer out of his sleeve, to reveal so much gold! There was however another item that gleemed with value, and the captain tossed it to apollo who caught it. Apollo held it up to examine it, which turned out to be a swimsuit! For a woman unfortunately, but the captain said it was a bonus for them. Apollo looked at zecarayus with it, but zecarayus didn’t want it, he really did not have a idea about what to do with it in the first place. So apollo kept it, thinking about a woman he knew who might look good in it. And with that the ship made it’s way back to port, and the two fairy tail mages looked out to the ocean on the side of the ship, talking at some points about what happened on the island while being silent as well.
