Getting to know someone (Lance/Chloe)

Chloe eventually stopped with her motion sickness and was able to regain control and sat down calmly on the couch. She blushed as she was extremely embarrassed that Lance saw Chloe like that and looked her head down and said, "Sorry you had to see me like that..." Chloe said depressed that she was sad. Gwen eventually flew onto Chloe's lap as she stroked her fur. "Um, I don't know. You can choose." Chloe said looking up at Lance.

Lance shrugged his shoulder "I dont really know to be honest..." he said as Lea skipped over to Lance and Laid her head on his shoulder "I got an idea! You two get to know each other better! Become friends while me and Gwen go over here and play!" she said as she ran over to Gwen, Picked her up and ran to the other side of the room.

Lea sat down and hugged Gwen tightly as she let out a cute giggle "Your so cute!" she exclaimed as she kept hugging Gwen and pet her.

"So uh... I can make use some food..." Chloe said saying something at she is comfortable with. And then she started talking about another thing, "I have a pool in here?" Chloe said as she smiled, hoping she could swim today. Gwen was very happy when she was pet by Lea. Normally she didn't like being smothered and pet, but Lea was way too cute. "You are too!" Gwen said as she flew onto her head and said, "Chloe has some old toys in her room, we can use them if you want?"

Lance blushed when she mentioned a pool and he nodded "Y-Yah lets go swimming..." he said with a small smile. If he took off his shirt then Chloe would see his scar. He stood up and silently looked at Chloe for a few seconds before helping her up and smiling "So take me to the pool and we can go swimming!" he said with a small laugh.

Lea on the other hand smiled at Gwen "I- I would love to play with toys!" she said blushing a bit. Although she was still a kid she felt weird whenever her childish side showed.

Chloe looked away as Lance took off his shirt and instantly became embarrassed. She blushed as she walked into her room and came back out in a light blue two piece swimsuit. "Okay follow me...." Chloe said as she led Lance to her bathroom which contained the enlarged swimming pool. She instantly went into the pool and started making fountains in the pool's water. She was now in water, this was her element, and she was much more confident. Meanwhile Gwen smiled and flew as she led Lea upstairs into Chloe's room with a toybox in the closet. "All right you pick out what you want to play" Gwen said to Lea as she brought the box into the center of the room.

Lance smiled when he saw Chloe in her light blue two piece and then blushed a bit. They would be going swimming alone.... just the two of them. He took a deep breath and followed Chloe to the pool. He watched as Chloe got in and smiled as he slowly got in himself. The water was cold but not to cold as to were he would freeze... it was perfect temperature. He ducked his head under water and swam up to Chloe from behind. He smirked as he silently peeked out from under the water and laid a hand on Chloe's shoulder "This is impressive." he said with a small laugh as he backed away.

Lea was brought into Chloes room and smiled as a Toy box was pulled out. She looked at all the toys and brought out a small doll "Its so cute!" she said happily as she hugged it.

Chloe had been surprisingly confident in the water, but definitely not enough to for that. Chloe had no idea what Lance was doing and got extremely paranoid. Was he trying to get a look from below her? She was too scared to think and shot two spouts of pressurized water from her hands which launched her into the air, barely not hitting the ceiling, before she landed on the other side of the pool as she screamed the entire time. Meanwhile, Gwen smiled and Lea's talking as it reminded of her of when Chloe was younger. She took a doll like Lea's and began playing just like her and Chloe used to do.

Lance stared at Chloe as she shot across the pool with a smile. He swam over to her and laughed "That was cool Chloe!" he said happily as looked down at Chloes bathing suit "You look really cute in your bathing suit Chloe." he said with a warm smile and immediately blushed "I- I mean!" he said as he panicked and ducked under the water where he swam to the other side of the pool to calm down a bit. He always got those outbursts that made it seem like he was flirting with them when he was around girls.

Lea played peacefully with Gwen until she sort of looked up and smiled "I have never played with anyone like this... I always train in fighting with dad..." she muttered softly as she shook her head with a smile and continued to play.

Chloe had been calming down when Lance had started talking to her again, glad that he did not seem to be doing anything fishy. Eventually Lance started talking about Chloe's bathing suit to which she instantly went red with embarrassment. She looked down into the water very shyly and said, "You... really think so..." Chloe said curious why this boy liked her so much. Chloe definitely wished that the boy liked her, but assumed that it would never happen. Chloe became even more embarrassed when Lance swam to the other side of the pool and frantically tried to hide in the other corner of the pool. Gwen meanwhile looked very stern and looked at Lea saying, "While fighting is important, be sure to play while you are still young. And make sure your dad agrees, by making him." Gwen said having her maternal instinct kick in.

Lance slowly glanced back at Chloe with his face still blushing red "Y-Yes I do think you look cute in that..." he muttered as he glanced back around. It was true that he liked this girl a little bit but he also remembered about Rita and how he liked her as well.

Lea stared at Gwen with a gleam in her eyes "Y-Yes I will make him play with me!" she said with a grin as she laughed and continued playing with Gwen.

"Oh...ok..." Chloe said as she distanced herself slightly from Lance. She did not know what to do at this point and was feeling completely inferior, despite his compliment. She looked down and blushed before she looked up and said, "You... look good too." Chloe said as she barely gained the confidence to say that. She smiled slightly as she was relieved that she was finally able to get that out. Meanwhile Gwen smiled once again and said, "You can take these toys with you if you want. Chloe doesn't use them anymore." she said happy that she was able to help this girl be a kid.

Lance blushed when Chloe said he looked good. He slowly turned around and swam over to her "Really?" he asked with a slight tilt of the head "Even though I have a huge scar on my chest?" he said as he lifted his chest over the water in order to show Chloe the scar that had been placed there by one of his uncles workers.

Lea smiled at Gwen "Thank you Gwen!" she said with gleaming eyes as she pat Gwen on the head "Do you want to keep playing or do you wanna do something else?" she said with a smile at Gwen.

Chloe smiled and said, "You don't notice things like that... when your me." Chloe said as she looked down at the two gloves on her hands, keeping her arms from exploding. Chloe looked at the scar and eventually worked up the confidence to say, "Looks good." she said as she looked how wrinkled Lance was and said, "You may as well get out." Chloe said as she wasn't wrinkled at all, she was used to living underwater. Meanwhile Gwen started flying and said, "I have an idea, follow me." Gwen said as she flew outside of the house.

Lance looked down and saw how wrinkled he was and blushed in embarrassment "Y-Yah..." he said quietly as he stepped out of the pool and sat at the edge of it calmly. He stared at Chloe and opened his mouth to say something but then closed it. He thought about it for a second and then asked the question "Chloe how did you become the water dragon? Was it because of a Lacrima or was it a Dragon who taught you?" he asked with his head tilted to the side.

Lea stood up and followed Gwen outside of the house and followed her until they reached their destination.

Chloe looked down embarrassed and said, "A dragon gave her lacrima for me... my mentor taught me all I know about magic." she said as a few tears went down her face as she looked to the gloves on her hands. Eventually she calmed down saying, "I'm sorry... I lost it for a minute there." Chloe said as she got out of the pool and took a towel, handing another to Lance. Meanwhile, Gwen had just arrived at a toy and candy store. She flew near the register and started waiting there before she talked to Lea and said, "Pick out as much as you like."

Lance dried himself off and felt bad about making Chloe cry so he walked over to his coat and pulled out a small bronze ball with a small button on top. He walked over to Chloe with a smile and got close to her "Hey I know what will cheer you up." he said as he grabbed her hand and gave her a warm smile before pushing the button.

The world around them would slowly morph into an underwater city. The city was magnificent and there were fish people swimming all around. It was a beautiful sight and although they were underwater they could still breath and talk. He looked at Chloe with a warm smile "Welcome to Atlantis." he said as he looked at the city with gleaming eyes "Its beautiful isn't it." he said with a warm smile as he looked at the city some more. "Wanna explore?" he said looking at Chloe.

Lea smiled at Gwen "Thanks!" she said as she got a bunch of candy and toys before eventually bringing them back to Gwen with a smile.

Chloe wondered what exactly the item was but before she could think about it, she was instantly transported back underwater. She instantly started swimming in wonder as what she saw seemed to be exactly what she dreamed of. It was Atlantis, or so she thought, a city filled with people like her. She paid no attention to Lance as she happily swam around, still in complete awe of the splendor of this location. Meanwhile, Gwen took everything Lea got and bought it all with a smile before leading her back to her home. "Here we are" she said as the two arrived in the living room.

Lance looked at Chloe swimming around and enjoying herself. It made him fell happy inside to see her having a good time.. He swam over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder "Wanna see the treasure vault?" he said with a smile as he waited for Chloes answer.

Lea sat down on the couch and happily unwrapped her candy "Thank you Gwen!" she said as she started to eat it.

Chloe was smiling extremely broadly as she went swimming through the city before she noticed something. She looked towards her gloves and saw what had happened. Normally when she goes swimming in the ocean, she ties rpe around her gloves so they dont fall off when she swims. She had been to excited to do this here, and she was paying the price. When she was swimming, the gloves suddenly fell off and started sinking to the bottom of the sea. In that moment, Chloe's arms instantly boiled out of existence, leaving nothing but blood left over. Meanwhile, the rest of her body felt as if a vat of flaming water was poured on it. It was in this moment that she lost consciousness and began to sink.

Lance looked at Chloe in horror as her gloves slipped off and her arms exploded. The only thing left was nubs. Almost about to cry, he grabbed her gloves and changed the scene back to the bathroom. He dropped to his knees and placed Chloe on the ground "Chloe? Chloe?!" he said as he put his head to her chest "Just unconscious..." he said with a sigh of relief as he silently placed her gloves back on.
