The sky was overcast and occasionally a light drizzle fell on the Solemn Park. A thunderstorm had just passed, so the air was cool now. Almyra didn't mind the rain, but had it not been for her cloak to keep her warm, Almyra would find the temperature unpleasant. Still, the park post-storm when everything was covered in moisture from the rain and a fog hung over the river and small ponds was too pretty to not want to walk around in. So the Chaos Theorist now walked along the soggy path, clinging to her beloved doll. She closed her eyes for a moment and inhaled deeply, taking in the wonderful petrichor that had followed the storm as well. She listened to the soft pitter patter of water falling from the leaves of trees. She should use Amor Fati right now to take in the variables that the storm had left in its wake and record them for the sake of practice and data gathering, but it was too nice to do that. Besides, she didn't want to get her book dirty, and she wouldn't be at her best game, since the storm had kept her awake for much of the night before. She should go to bed extra early tonight, but there was so much in this city to see. Especially the black market. Not to buy or sell goods, but to watch the fluctuations of currency and good exchange, supply and demand. For now though, it was just time to relax, and maybe find a dry spot to nap in. Almy was so caught up in her thoughts she didn't realize she was walking with her eyes closed until she tripped and fell onto the path, letting out a small "Eep!" as she did so.

    "Hmph."

Almyra would find herself stopping mid fall, only to be pulled back up by someone who was standing just behind her. Yet if and when she would turn around, no one would be there, and she had mostly likely heard the little noise when she was grabbed.

"Not the steadiest on our feet, are we?"

The voice came from below Almyra, and a few seconds later, a small child would leap out from her shadow and onto the ground in front of her. Long golden locks of hair would rest gently behind her, and piercing yellow eyes that held seemingly limitless amounts of wisdom bore straight into the woman's soul. While this was definitely a child in front of her, it was no ordinary child. Something more. Something powerful.

"Are you wandering aimlessly, or searching for something? Surely you couldn't be admiring such repugnant weather." the child said with a tiny grin on her face. It was as if this situation amused her, albeit only slightly. Or maybe she was just easily amused. It was a wonder even to her why she smiled so much. Maybe she was starting to find the way humans lived their lives to be childishly comical now, or maybe she was finally going insane. Well, that last one was up for debate, as she wasn't exactly sane anymore. Then again, the concept of sanity itself was subjectively droll but that was irrelevant to the situation at hand. She had just made herself known to this human and was awaiting a reaction. After following this one for a while, she wasn't sure what to expect. It wasn't like she could be surprised anyways. Which brought her back to the question of why she was thinking what she was thinking, once more.

"Hm, no matter." Priscilla said, her grin widening. "Tell me your name, child. You have piqued my curiosity."

Almyra had moved her arms to catch herself as she fell when suddenly something caught her from behind. She looked around, searching for whoever had caught her. Suddenly someone spoke from... below her? She looked down at the ground. Perhaps it was an earth mage. She had seen earth mages meld into the ground before. Suddenly a girl popped out of her shadow. She was... unusual to say the least. It wasn't only her appearance, though. Almyra felt echoes from her. Strong ripples that had already left most of their impact, but still could affect things to come. This girl was one who had clearly altered the world greatly, though it was long ago. Almy stared at her for a few moments, then muttered to herself as she tilted her head. "Interesting."

In her fascination, she had ignored Priscilla's first question, simply staring at the girl. She was very tempted to use Amor Fati in order to study the girl, though she decided she should make sure she would stay first. She blinked, snapping back to the conversation at hand. The girl had asked something. What was it? Oh, her name. Almyra smiled. "I am Almyra. What is your name?"

Priscilla's grin only widened at the question, her mind starting to race with ways she could derail that question from it's intended purpose. But no, that would only make this whole ordeal last even longer than it should, not that she had anything else to really do anyways.

"Ah, I see." the ancient vampire said, her hands raising to rest on her hips. "So you can see things others can't? What is it that you see though, I wonder? Perhaps the effects I've had on this world? Or maybe you can just tell from a simple glance that I am no mere mortal like you." Oh how she would have fun messing with this one, if only for her own amusement mostly. The fact that she had mostly ignored the girl's question was pushed back to the furthest depths of her consciousness. She didn't care for introductions. "Ah yes, Almyra. I remember hearing one or two people addressing you by that name while I lay in your shadow and listen. You're an interesting little girl, I'll give you that. Ah, but who am I...?" Priscilla said this and paused, turning around and letting her hair blow impressively in the gentle breeze for a second before she looked lazily over her shoulder with a sly grin. She still hadn't told the girl her name. Maybe now would be the time to do that.

"Priscilla Lorelei. Vampire, Oddity, Monster... whatever you wish to call me, dear. Just be careful where you look. Don't wanna get hauled off to jail for pedophilia, now do we?" Priscilla was referencing the fact that the wind almost blew her dress up enough so Almy could get a view of something she shouldn't really see, but that was besides the point.

Almyra nodded. It was close to the truth. She could see things that others can't, but not as much as she could feel them. She smiled at Prisci. She knew a lot about her already. She wondered how long the girl had been following her for. She blushed a bit and giggled as Prisci called her interesting, "Thank you.". She seemed like a nice person. She was funny, trying to be mysterious. It didn't do much to affect Almyra though. She was already curious about everyone really, but trying to be mysterious didn't really make her even more interested in them.

Almy frowned a bit when she finished her introduction. She seemed nice, not like a monster at all. She didn't react much to her final comment, since she didn't really understand what Prisci was talking about. "It's nice to meet you, Priscilla. How long have you been hiding in my shadow? And why would I call you a monster? You don't seem like a monster."

"You mean you wouldn't call vampires monsters?" Priscilla said with a bit of a chuckle. The young girl snapped her fingers and she vanished completely before reappearing in the same spot, except this time older. Her hair was long and blonde like before, except tied into a side ponytail that reached over halfway down her back. Her dress was replaced with a purple hoodie over a black sleeveless dress, black leggings, and sneakers. Her expression was nothing more than a slight smirk as she stood sideways to Almyra, hands in pockets and hair blowing in the slight breeze. Eyes turning towards Almyra, they would pierce uncomfortably into her soul with a gaze that felt like it burned whatever it looked at.

"I don't look it, but I'm the world's number one enemy. Ever hear of the zombie apocalypse? I can start that at any time. I just need the motivation."

And with that note, the life threatening gaze ended, and whatever feelings of dread that would have been creeping up Almyra's spine were gone. Priscilla would just be standing there laughing heartily at her behavior. This wasn't normally like her, and even she was confused by the crap she was spouting. And she wouldn't comment on how long she had been hiding in Almyra's shadow. That one was a secret. "Ahhh, I forget what point I was trying to make." the woman said before slowly walking closer to Almyra. "No but seriously, why are you walking around in this god awful weather. I thought humans preferred it when it was sunny and warm outside? It's cold, damp, and I can't see more than thirty feet in front of me, and my eyesight is better than most." Priscilla held out her hand in front of her and rubbed her fingers together. Moist, probably from the fog. It just emphasized her point of how awful it was outside right now. Wait, was that a raindrop she just felt?

Almyra blinked as Priscilla disappeared for a moment, then appeared older. That was interesting. She suddenly felt a raindrop land on her nose and looked up at the clouds, studying them oblivious to Priscillas gaze. She answered her as she studied them. "A vampire is what you are. A monster is who you are." She said simply. It made sense to her, she wondered if Priscilla would understand it.

"I don't look it, but I'm the world's number one enemy. Ever hear of the zombie apocalypse? I can start that at any time. I just need the motivation."

Almyra shrugged and turned to her with a smile. "But you have not done so. And what I see and feel from you, your echoes. You are one of Eris's servants." She could be mysterious, too. Perhaps Priscilla would like that. It was fun. She just shrugged in response to her second question. "I think the rain is pretty." She said with a smile. She wasn't too fond of the cold, but that's what her cloak was for. It kept her nice and warm.

"Eris...?" Priscilla questioned, a wide grin appearing on her face as she realized instantly that the girl was trying to be mysterious just like her. "I believe I've heard the name, but we've never formally met, nor do I have any sort of indication as to who she might be. Oh well, I'll learn in due time. Not like I'm running out of it any time soon." the woman commented with a giggle. Looking up at the sky, she held her hand out and felt another raindrop on her hand. "The rain is pretty, and the sound quite calming, I agree. However I do not have any desire to become drenched in rainwater at the moment, so I would have to decline any offer to stay outside any longer. The least we could do is find a roof to keep our heads under." the woman suggested before walking up to Almyra and taking her hand. "Come on, dear." Was all she said before gently pulling Almy along. Priscilla then started leading Almyra all throughout Talonia in search of some sort of shelter from the rain. It was a much more appealing action than just standing out in the soon-to-be pouring rain and trying to hold a casual conversation. It must be freezing, the rain, unless it was summer time. Was it summer time? Priscilla honestly lost all track of time over her years. She couldn't even tell the seasons anymore. As long as it wasn't snowing, the leaves on the trees were grown and still green, she couldn't tell the difference between late spring, summer, and early fall before the leaves turned their warm colors. That basically summed up how little attention she payed to the seasons and the world around her. Such a carefree spirit, this one.

Almyra smiled as Priscilla spoke of Eris. She wondered if she had really heard the name before. Few people knew about her. Having contact with her was almost never heard of, even by those who devoted themselves to working for her and worshiping the goddess. She was far too subtle for such contact. She smiled and nodded at Priscilla. Despite it being summer, the weather was fairly chilly to be caught out in the rain. It was one of those rare days that one would occasionally encounter in the summer, when a cold front had brought a storm as well as cold air. She smiled widely as Prisci took her hand, walking alongside the woman happily. She giggled. "You seem really nice." As they walked, the two would find a gazebo in the park. "Want to talk in there?" Almy asked her, pointing it out.
