The day was fair. Not too good, not too bad, a bit chilly, but between the long span it took for a breeze to bless the air it could become fairly warm. The uncomfortable warm though. Not warm like ayyy, but warm like when you have a stomach virus and wanna barf your brains out. That being said Lucas was smart to leave his haori at the dwelling he had been staying at. An odd sight and an odd feel, the Gypsy was in a black kimono that had a white gi underneath. The sleeve cutting off at his forearms, the garment was tied snuggly around his waist by a white sash. A nice bow in the front, the black kimono continued to span down to his feet that had his tabi covering them. Today's job could be combat oriented so wear Geta was out of the question. That was at least until he got the pair he had been saving up for. The looked like your typical pair, but on the bottom one could see they had a thin sheet of iron plating on the bottom. This added a bit of weight of course, but in a positive light they could be used as protection from bladed attacks. A very rare occurrence normally, but with the new fighting style Lucas had been developing it could come in handy. More focused on acrobatics, being lithe, and unpredictable in battle, it could truly be a handy style to have. Orderly chaos, Lucas liked to call it, as it still was a style and had choreographed sets and attacks. Simply blindly attacking never did get people too far, so it still would be something that could be taught, but still only to a degree. It was much like a dance, feeling the rhythm of the battle and knowing what was pleasing to the crowd, but in this case what would be effective when attacking. The comparison of being like a dance also went a bit further though as it actually consisted of some dance like moves, modernly known as breaking. Floor work was a must and this naturally made the fighting style evolve into more of a mixed martial arts. The martial art it could be related to was Taekwondo. Far more than a bucket full of strikes and even deadly grapples, but it more so focused on kicks, though the hands could be used if needed. Most of the time though and obviously with Lucas being a swordsmen his hands would be full, so kicks were the main focus when it came to body strikes.

Turning a corner, almost to his destination the disgusting weather had been stagnant long enough or at least the sun, father of life felt it had, so it blessed the land with a breeze. Graciously and humbly Blanka was accepting of this continuously streaming gust of wind. It cooled his body and stopped him from sweating for the action hadn't even started yet. Apparently, some suspicious stuff was going on next door to the clients house. Probably keeping him up seeing how the noises happened to be screams of bloody murder or things akin to it. Chances are he was right though, it was rare for one to just hear shit like that and not have it go on unless the soul was psychotic. Then the fact the neighbor in question didn't explain to the client that he was just watching some horror film or something along those lines. He simply remained silent about it and then next were his garments. A black cloak, no skin visible thanks to the shadow that loomed over his face. Blanka though it was all very interesting and more so took the job to be nosey and snoop in on the occurrence. He could give a damn about saving lives and doing the right thing, some were on the paper chase, well Blanka juggled that ideal while also trying to quench his thirst for knowledge. What could it be? Well lets think of what seemed obvious. That being that someone was killing people or killed a person, but why? Normally it would just be murder then the person would continue to live, not normally, obviously in a state of paranoia or with a shook psyche, but the point was they wouldn't act as odd as this. Dark cloak, strange markings on walls, seemed like a ritual or something along those lines. Sacrificial probably, adding in the fact there were screams involved.

Blanka nodded to himself feeling his hypothesis was probably on point. Not that he was stroking his own ego, he was a very modest soul, just it seemed like a pretty solid assumption. All there was left to find out was why the man was sacrificing people and for what? A legendary deity or spirit, to revive a relative, to summon a demon, be more handsome? Who knew the possibilities really were endless in this case, so that gave Lucas something to dig into. In the sleuthing mode and mindset, he was eager to get started, but had to start out by meeting the client. Already briefed on the job, what else was there for him to know. All he would say was "Blah blah blah, I'm uncomfortable, blah blah blah, please do something, womp womp womp, be careful, etc etc." In turn Lucas would and did roll his eyes, because that's exactly what happened. Just a bunch of bitching. "Yeah I got it baldy, cool your jets, gimme fifteen and this should be settled." Lucas said standing up while unraveling a piece of bubblegum.

Maybe not safe to chew when combat could be eminent, but it was good for his nerves or at least it calmed his nerves. He always had some on hand, maybe in the form of a stick, a block, maybe even a pack of gum balls, regardless, Lucas was never caught without something to appease his oral fixation. Chewing the pink matter like it was a tough bite of jerky, the sweet substance needed some breaking in as it kept sticking to his molars. Using his tongue to wrestle the gum off his teeth, he then used suction to bit the remaining sticky bits of the gum off his teeth. Sticking it to the main hive of gum, Lucas stood in front of the home in question still breaking in his gum. He was far off in another world -his mind- not sweating the up and coming task a bit, in fact he had already trumped this challenge if it could be called that. With his reward money he was treating himself to some fire roasted fresh salmon. Bone, head and all, just the look of the untempered with, but internally cooked meal made Lucas' mouth water and also brought him back to reality. "Side of lemon ple- . . . Eh." He was still in front of the house, nodding to himself nonchalantly and bobbing his head side to side in a chilled manner that could be projected as cocky he knocked on the door.

"Leave" A muffled voice spoke and in turn Blanka knocked again. "Aye, I'm here to kick your ass. What the hell you doing in there huh!?" The door opened just a bit enough for a single eye to come into view. "I said lea- Ack!" Lucas had kicked the door causing it to be forced open hitting the man right in the face, specifically the nose. Door wide open and the man clinching his nose on the ground, Lucas walked in nonchalantly head looking side to side examining the place. *Pop* "Ain't got much furniture eh? Sacrifice that too?" Lucas looked at the man who was gathering himself back up, making light conversation of the events. "You'll be sacrificed just like the other, you better bet i-" A dagger with some weird looking coding on it was drawn and the man at Lucas like a starving animal, but his foot rose again and simply kicked the man in the stomach. Back on the ground, Lucas approached and stepped on the mans wrist that was holding the knife. "Your not really good at this are you?" Lucas inquired putting a hand on his katana's hilt. This action made the man's eyes bulge almost out his skull in fact. "Eh? You look scared, you've killed before so what's there to be scared of? If you take a life, be prepared to lose yours at any given moment alright?" The metal from his unforgiving blade was kept cool in its sheath as it was drawn and place against the mans neck. "I'll be nice today and ask for your last words . . . go on." The man was trembling nervous and sweating like a filthy sweaty whore in a two seated sports car. "I jus-" The sound of the one choking one Lucas' blade - a familiar sound- filled the air as blood soon began to flood out his mouth. Left in his own mess, Lucas departed and reported to the other man that the Job was complete and he could check the scene for himself if he wanted.
