Today was a crucial day for Viola, even though it didn't seem like it would be for others. She had been working solidly on all the jobs she had done so far, and this one was now her third. It wasn't a job that involved brawling or where you left with a reward in your hand covered in injuries, or bruises. It was the sort of job, where you went to make a favourable impression on somebody, and hopeful walk home with either a cheerful or a bitter look on your face.

Today was the day where Viola would make a hopefully positive impression on Ebony's grandmother. Supposedly Ebony had put that job request up there in a hope, yet test to see who would get to babysit her little old granny, but this wasn't babysitting to Viola. This was a hope on getting a good impression on especially Ebony, her guild master.

Even though she was quite new to the guild Fairy Tail, she didn't sense like she was truly apart of the guild unless she actually went out and did something useful. Her goal was to make the world a much better place, and starting with Fiore for that matter, she didn't want kids, or anybody to grow up in a world of war. Where they wouldn't have to turn the path to their home, or town and find it lighted with flames.

But, there was one little flaw to this day, one that would possibly ruin Viola's chances of getting on the good side with her guild master. Little miss, Melody. It wasn't a revelation to her that Melody would come along, in-fact Viola may of somewhat hooked her friend on coming in the first place. And it all started with
    "she's invited us for lunch".

In a fact though, if Viola hadn't been dreadfully frightened of always being alone, this day mostly would've gone how she planned it. But, like most people say about the two of them "you just can't separate those two."

Finally she stood at the door, just gazing at the door knob blankly as small beads of sweat began to form on her forehead. It was unlikely for her to ever be this nervous, the face that she had been standing at the door for about 5 minutes seemed a bit rare to Melody as she resting on her shoulder like she always did, watching her watch the door.

Then for what seemed like hours, she hoisted her hand upward, tightening her hand into a fist and knocking onto the wooden door. Ebony's grandmother lived the same style Viola had, just outside of town on the grassy plains.
Guess she likes peace and quiet too.. Viola thought, as she turned over her shoulder to look back out onto Magnolia town. The view was even finer than the home the two had presently moved into.

Suddenly the door belted open, the loud sudden noise making Viola vault up into a startled jump as her eyes met the lady's. She was about an inch below Viola, with silky white hair which rested in a bun on the top of her head. Then she was wearing a cute flawy pink dress, and some plain black and white slippers. "Welcome, welcome! It's such a pleasure to have you my, dear!" the old lady pulled her forward into a quick hug, then began to lead her inside, pulling her by the wrist.

She was basically thrown onto the pink couch, her eyes darting across the room that was practically layed out in pink things, as the old lady came back with two cups of tea, holding out the one cup toward Viola. "Thank you." she smiled, widening her eyes as a thought shifted by her. It was on her number one list of things to do once she came here, introduce herself at the front door.
"I'm so sorry, I'm Viola, miss." Viola said, trying to pull off one of her charming smiles.

The lady laughed, bringing a hand to her chest before placing her tea-cup onto the table. "Oh, please Viola, just call me Ginger! Now.." the lady paused, a pair of glasses which to Viola's opinion appeared out of no-where entered her hands as she rested them onto her face. "I was hoping I would get to meet you one day." Ginger's overly happy expression, changed to a more light one as she watched Viola carefully. At first, she wasn't quite sure what the lady meant, had she seen Viola before, or maybe just heard of her?

So much thinking passed before Viola finally responded. "You know me?" she asked, the expression that had been exposed to her face was a questioning and slightly blank one now. She had never seen Ginger before in her life, well at least she didn't think she had. Maybe she met her in her younger years, the times where she didn't want to remember anything.

"Yes, of a matter of fact. But, it was a long time ago when I first saw you." she paused, taking in a large breath before continuing on to talk. "There was a fact that a secret building was taking in children, and experimenting on them with force. It was hidden as a place to mostly help kids on their magical power, but that was lie... I went to go investigate this place, and stood off in the distance getting a good full view of the place until it exploded.. And after I saw the explosion, I took notice to a winged fox who was carrying a young girl, with an un-usual powerful magical aura trailing from her body.." she said, her face was stern as her gaze settled on something else.

Viola's body tensed, and she started at something else, blue pools widened with bafflement, yet a snap of pain as that familiar memory approached her mind. "Viola, hey, you okay?" Melody's soft voice breathing into Viola's ear reminded her that her friend was still here, and that she didn't need to be afraid. But, as her gaze settled back onto the lady, her body still felt tense. She did have the power to call over those Fire Mages any second, so that they could bring Viola back to the horrid place that she dreaded to remember.

"When I felt that magical energy gust by my in the wind, I felt a power more greater than I had ever felt in my life... You have a gift, Viola, I hope you use it well." the lady said, the overly cheerfulness approaching her once more, making Viola finally relax as the tension died down. "So, Melody the talking fox.. Have you met any other like yourself?" Ginger asked, taking a sip of her tea before placing it back onto the table. Viola peered over at Melody as she slowly hopped down onto her lap, wrapping her fluffy tail around her small body, and blinking her big yellow eyes for a moment.

"Well, besides talking cats, I really haven't met another talking fox." she replied, a tint of sorrow dropping into her eyes as she glanced away and back toward Ginger. Melody curved her maw into a smirk, leaning forward to stick out her tongue, and fluff out her long tail, brushing it against Viola's face faintly. "Do you have any food?" she grinned. "Melody!" Viola shouted, grasping onto her mouth in an attempt to act as if nothing happened. Ginger frowned, standing up.

"Actually, I'm really sorry, I didn't think I'd be having guests so I just prepared something for myself.. And I only accepted to have one of the guild members over when I discovered it was you." she said, and Viola stood up with her, walking toward the door and opening it up. The time had flown by pretty fast.

The sun was just touching the peaks of the mountains, setting off a wave of orange, red and purple through-out the once bright blue sky. "Thank you for having me, Ginger." Viola said, bowing to the old lady as she stood outside the door. "It was a pleasure to have you Viola." she smiled, and she returned it faintly, turning to walk off so that she could go home, and attempt to erase those horrible memories before Ginger's voice stopped her in her tracks.

"Your more powerful than you know it Viola! You'll make a great wizard one day!" she shouted, and to Viola's surprise a wave of happiness suddenly washed over her. She twisted around and lifted her hand into the air, waving goodbye as the sunset coated her body like a shadow, Melody also waving goodbye. Even though she was reminded of her terrible past on the most important day ever, it was all washed away in the end by the hint that Ginger had a liking to Viola and Melody.

    Mission complete~
