An unexpected meet up

Lance woke up in his hotel in a very happy mood. He had met a girl by the name of Rin, gotten his passport to Earthland and today he would leave to go back to Era. His train would leave at night time so he would get back in the morning. Lance rushed down the streets to go get as much stuff done as possible.

"Maybe I should of let them finish stitching these wounds up right before I ran off." She thought to herself. Rita Had just left clover after leaving her friend Sephiria on a bit of an "unexpected note" to go find her sister. She was now limping through the swarms of people at Rose Garden. "So many people." she thought annoyed with the massive amounts of civilians in the area. She soon found the break she was looking for she spotted a narrow alley in between two buildings. Her unattended wounds now began to hurt ravenously. Rita continued in a slight limp through the alley and sat down against the wall she then looked at the gash on her am wrapped in the ripped cloth that must of belonged to Sephiria It was practically drenched in blood now. Rita sighed as she looked back to her worse injury she had been stabbed through the gut,not that she remembers a thing that happened. She looked down at the wound. "It Will have to heal on its own." she thought as she re tied a piece of cloth around it to hold in the bleeding a bit longer in order to buy her some more time.

Lance ran through town only stopping to watch as a girl that was in pain limped into an ally way "What the hell?" Lance muttered as he put on his hood and became invisible almost as if he was a shadow himself and started to follow the girl. When she sat down and started to wrap on another cloth Lance decided to finally show himself "You know you really should go get that looked at...." Lance said as he pulled off his hood and revealing himself to the girl. "Look I don't know what happened but I am not about to let a girl a hurt as you just be alone." Lance said sitting down next to the girl and leaning his head against the wall "The names Lance and you may want to put a little bit more pressure on that." Lance said as he ripped a piece of his shirt and handed it to the girl to tie around her wound.

"You know you really should go get that looked at...." Rita heard some one say. She turned and saw some one standing there. "Was he there before?!?!?!" Rita thought alarmed. He then took a seat beside her "Look I don't know what happened but I am not about to let a girl hurt as you just be alone." they then said to her. Rita scooted away a bit still being far from certain about him. "The names Lance and you may want to put a little bit more pressure on that." He said handing Rita a piece of cloth he had torn from his shirt. Rita hadn't met many people this nice before and most times it ended with them trying to get her killed. She put her hand on the wall and used it to help herself up. "It isn't much I will deal with it on my own, Lance." She said as she backed deeper into the alley uncertain.

Lance smiled to himself because he had just met this girl and already he liked her attitude. After she went deeper into the ally way Lance silently followed her in the shadows so he could hide a little. After a while of going deeper he got tired of walking "Hey why are you walking away I just want to know what is the problem." Lance said as he ran and stopped in front of her "You don't trust me?"

Rita knew Lance was following her for she had the ability to see no matter how dark it was. She began getting a bit annoyed having some one following her in secret she was about sick and tired of it when he said something "Hey why are you walking away I just want to know what is the problem." Rita decided if she ignored him a little longer he might leave. then he ran up ahead of her and blocked her way "You don't trust me?" Lance then questioned. Rita wasn't going to deny it she didn't trust him or anyone exept her. "Exactly. I don't trust you." Rita responded dully to Lance. She then turned and began limping forward past him.

Lance sighed and shook his head when all of a sudden he got attacked from behind. Lance snapped around and got cut it the arm. As the blood dripped down his arm he used the cloth that he had ripped off his shirt before to wrap it around the cut that was made quickly. Lance smirked "Shadow claws..." Lance muttered and closed his eyes and imagined the wolves stalking in the darkness and claws came out of his hand. The claws had a purplish and blackish aura around them and they dripped some poison. He lunged at the guys with one of his hands holding his hurt arm and his other hand he used to attack the people viciously. After a while they where all down on the ground "Sleep well..." Lance said as his claws went back into his hands. Lance then walked over to a dark corner of the ally way and placed his hand on the ground and shadows crawled up his arm and covered his injury and when they parted the cut was gone.

Rita who was limping ahead turned her head over when she heard something. Rita saw the blood running down Lance's arm and questioned what was going on when she saw him tie the cloth around the injury. Rita then heard him say something before she saw what appeared to be claws that emitted a dark purple glow. "I bet he is a wizard." Rita thought to herself. "If that is the case a few street thugs wont be a problem, I don't have any energy to fight now." Rita told herself as she began to limp further into the alley. When suddenly Rita bumped into something ahead of her she looked up at the person standing before of her with a switchblade drawn.  Rita stepped back and held one hand out to the right while she used the other one to hold her wound that had been bleeding continuously. "Shadow make:Sword." she said. She became alarmed when nothing happened. She flicked her arm again "...Dammit Cast already!"She said frustrated "I knew it I don't have any energy left to fight let alone cast a spell..." She realized.

Lance got up and saw that the girl was in trouble so he put his palms out "Hey girl, Get out of the way!" Lance yelled as two balls of shadows grew larger and larger eventually forming in one huge ball. The huge ball went into his hand "SHADOW BEAM!" Lance yelled as the ball shot back out but this time in the form of a beam that hit the guy direct in the chest. Lance walked over to the girl "You ok?" Lance said with a calm little smile.

"Hey girl, Get out of the way!" Rita heard Lance call out. She turned her gaze to him when when she saw him beginning to conjure shadow energy together into a massive ball. "SHADOW BEAM!"she heard him yell. Rita decided it was a good idea to take cover so she ducked closing her eyes and holding her hands upon her head. a moment later she heard lance again "You ok?" He asked her. She opened her eyes and looked up at lance who smiled a little at her. "Uh...I'm fi-" she began but was cut off when she passed out face first into the ground. Rita's wounds have been bleeding for who knows how long; and it seemed that the blood loss was finally getting to her.

Lance was caught off guard when the girl fell unconscious because of blood loss. "Shit... I have to help her..." Lance thought in his mind as he looked around for something then got an idea. Lance took off his shirt and tired it around the girls wound then noticed it was kind of cold out so he got his jacket and wrapped it around there "Hang in there..." Lance muttered as he picked her up and ran out of the ally way.

As he ran down the streets people looked at him weirdly because they just an unconscious girl but he didn't really care at all mostly because his top priority was the girl at the moment. The moment he reached the hotel he was staying at he jumped into the elevator and ran to his room where he laid the girl on the bed and left to go get some hot soup or something for when she woke up.

Rita did not quite understand what was going on, she could feel that she was being rushed some where but she had no idea who had her in their arms or where they were headed. Rita drifted in and out of conscientiousness during her trip. She heard a door slam shut and she was then set down "Where am I now..." she thought to herself. "I remember it was chilly out side today why is it warm now?..." she thought.

She blinked her eyes confused. "Where the hell am I? Wasn't I just in an alley...?" She muttered to herself being awfully confused.

Lance came back to the room and blinked before looking at the girl with a warm smile "Ahh your awake." Lance said as he set some soup down on a side table next the bed as he walked over to the kitchen part of the room and started to make some tea. "While I make you something hot to drink why don't you tell me a bit about your self." Lance said pulling over a chair next to the bed. "what's your name?"

"Ahh your awake." Rita heard Lance say when she shifted her gaze to face him. Rita watched as he set a steaming bowl of soup down on the table that stood beside her. "What happened?" she wanted to ask him, but then he walked off into the kitchen to start some tea before she could ask. "While I make you something hot to drink why don't you tell me a bit about your self." He then asked her as he pulled up a seat."what's your name?" She was asked. Under normal circumstances Rita would have gotten stubborn at this point avoiding accepting help or answering questions,but this was different. He decided it was necessary to save her after she claimed she didn't need the help. she let out a sigh knowing now wasn't a good time to let her defensive side kick in. "I'll just tell him what he wants to know then I can ask my questions." Rita told herself. "Names, Rita." She began. "Tell me what you want to know, and then I'll ask my questions." Rita then said.

"Well Rita, All I want to know is why you were out there like that hurt and shit." Lance said as he got up and grabbed the tea he made and handed a cup to Rita "I mean its not everyday you find someone with that bad of a messed up arm...." Lance said with a grimace "This is the best I can do for you..... keep the shirt around your wound until in gets better so you don't bleed out...." Lance said with a smile as he took a sip of his tea. "That's about it... now what do you want to know?"

"That's about it... now what do you want to know?" Lance said "I guess If I were in your situation it would be nice to know what was going on so ill tell you what happened-At least what I can recall." She began. Rita decided to leave out a lengthy past story to avoid any potential confrontations with lance regarding her history. "I'll ask my questions after story time then" She said before taking a sip of her tea.

"Well A few days ago I was in clover I had been safe guarding something for a while, It must of been valuable for all I know..." she stated showing that she didn't know allot about it. "I met some one on my journey there we became quite close in fact. I recall us going out to investigate a strange phenomena in the area something about serial killings." She took a sigh before continuing. "I don't know for sure but I soon was knocked down- My head still hurts in fact I'm pretty sure I got knocked upside the head with a brick..." she said doing off topic a bit. "Uh-Anyway! I woke up some where completely different, I remember there were two people there when I woke up. I don't know who one of them were I couldn't see their face but the one beside-" She froze for a minute recalling who was there before getting an frustrated look on her face. She went ahead and cut off the second persons identity as she didn't want to bring it up. "Uh- anyway they practically interrogated me something about opening the lock on the item I had and when I didn't tell them what they wanted they tried beating it out of me, but I really didn't know what they wanted or anything," She said before taking a quick breather. "Before I knew it I was out again but they were back, they must of figured out what they needed because they began talking about all this nonsense...Something about resurrecting some one. I think I got stabbed with something after that right in my arm where this injury is now, after that I got all dizzy like the feeling  you get after a vaccine..." She said before taking a sip of the tea Lance had handed her. "I woke up in bed I hurt allot and I had scrapes and bruises and even wounds I didn't have before. From what I remember the doctor told me the friend I mentioned earlier had saved me and she was hurt too. When they started answering questions I began getting uncomfortable... Then I realized there was something I had to do. So I ran off still in bad condition." She explained managing not to mention any big details regarding her past

"Now you," Rita started as she rose an eyebrow.
"1. What were you trying when you showed up to help me back in the alley"
"2.  Do you know anything about the people who tried to attack us?"
"3. Why did you bother saving me when I went out?"
"4. I'm guessing your a wizard regarding your performance back there and that insignia you bear on your hand, Right?" she said as she pointed out Lance's Fairy tail mark on his hand.
"5. Uh And...Why haven't you put a shirt back on....?"

Lance nodded "I guess its my turn..." Lance said grimacing at the questions that she asked "When I first tried to help you in the ally... I just wanted to help you because I am a nice person and I go out of my way to help people. Those people that attacked us were scientists from my fathers organization... They did experiments on me when I was a kid trying to bring out my evil side... that's why they attacked us because they wanted to do experiments on me. When you went out I saved you because I wasn't about to leave a girl in a ally way like that. I am in fact a wizard." Lance replied to the girl as she asked her final question "Take off my jacket and you will see why I haven't put my shirt back on." Lance said this because he had tied his shirt around the girls wound in a last moments notice. "You can keep the shirt..."

Rita still didn't get it, Kind people were a rarity to her, But she did owe him her life so she would respect him. Rita didn't bother to ask more even as curious as she was. "Uh Lance i'm sorry if we've gotten off to a bad start there are just a few reasons why I don't like strangers even if they are offering to help me." she apologized addressing her trust issues and avoiding eye contact with him as she spoke. "Strange thing is I don't get it..." She began "Why do you think some people have a kind heart while others will stomp on your heart if you let them close?" She asked as she handed his coat back to him.

Lance looked down at the floor as she talked. Lance had a slight grimace on his face "I cant trust anyone with my past..." Lance said avoiding looking at Rita "I really have only told you anything about it..." Lance continued "people with kind hearts are rare Rita... but some people are just born with a sort of smile appearing on his face "I don't know why but the only people I trust are my guild master and another person... a man who I look up to..." Lance said some more as he took sips of his tea "Thing is I guess I get scared of myself sometimes... I cant really open my self up to anyone..."

"I understand Lance" she responded forcing a little smile. Rita then stood in an attempt to get out of bed she had only taken half a step when she felt a sudden terrible pain in her chest. Her body proceeded to crumble against the wall. Every heartbeat sent a surge of pain, as if her chest were being torn apart. She wanted desperately to cry out for help, but she couldn't bring enough air into her lungs. Rita proceeded to slump down against the wall to the floor unable to sustain the sudden pain. Rita brought her hands to her head holding it tightly.

"Listen just relax..."She heard a voice whisper to her. The voice that sounded in her head sounded as if it belonged to a woman and it was strangely calm and quiet. "N-No! Why Should I listen to you just leave me alone!" Rita cried at the top of her lungs. "I need you to calm down, Your just going to make this worse." She told to Rita mentally. "Why should I listen to a damn thing you say!" she yelled out in response. "Listen I've been in your head longer than you think I know how hard it is for you to trust people!- I just NEED you to calm yourself." They responded to her. "F-Fine..." Rita muttered as she tried to calm down a little hoping that it would help. Although she was less tense now she still shook slightly from the massive pain she was feeling

Lance started to get worried again when Rita started to yell random stuff "RITA....WHAT IS GOING ON." Lance yelled desperately to try to get her to hear him.

Sephiria was not in the greatest of moods on this day.

No, in fact one could say she was pissed.

Why was the normally calm Dragon Slayer pissed off? Well it turns out her good friend Rita had decided to leave while she was injured badly. And not only that, but Rita had left without saying goodbye to Sephiria. Now Sephiria hated to be alone or left behind, and this felt just like that to her. Sephiria had cried for a short amount of time before she got up and followed Rita's blood trail. Now she was coming across where she believed Rita had finally gone, which was a room inside an inn. Sephiria had heard some screams coming from inside the room, which sounded an awful like Rita, so she broke the door down and stared at the two occupants of the room...When her eyes landed on Rita she started to tear up and shake, barely able to even say anything to her or Lance, whom her brain had barely registered in the room.

"Why...." She uttered, dropping her gaze to the floor and clenching her fists tight. "Why did you go...........You left me........and you made me promise to never leave you, but instead you do it yourself! Why did you leave Rita?" Sephiria's voice had gotten higher as she spoke, but then it went into a small whisper as she finished speaking. Tears had begun to flow down her face as she spoke to the girl, and she waited for a response before doing anything.
